The room was far too close to the tram line. Right next to it so very early morning and late in the evening this will wake you up. It’s not just the sounds it’s the vibrations aswell.

The room was very clean with excellent amenities. The espresso machine in the room making outstanding coffee is a nice touch. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. Everything looks clean and polished. The bathroom looks spectacular; the lighting is variable and cool looking.
One very peculiar thing I noticed: The hotel seems to be located on top of the subway. Periodically one can hear the trains underfoot. I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep, but perhaps the trains don't run at night. It was quiet and I slept very well.
Parking was possible right in front of the hotel, which was very convenient.
The only thing I didn't like was dinner--the vegetarian option in the hotel restaurant. It was marinated eggplant on top of greasy polenta and some barely cooked brussels sprouts. I suggest you eat somewhere else. The old town is within walking distance, approximately 10-15 minutes.

One small downside - we had to give our keys to the concierge to park the car, and the on-board computer was reset (presumably by mistake) by the staff. They didn’t tell us or apologize.

My reservation was for 3 nights. Lovely historical property that’s been beautifully renovated. The room was lovely and spacious. Excellent location. The Michelin recommended Wierzbowa 15 restaurant on the premises is worth going to.
I was somewhat put off that when there was a problem with what was included in the reservation (breakfast), management were inflexible, not even offering one complementary breakfast for my 3 night stay. For a 5 star property, I did consider this a bit “nickel and diming”. Other than that one glitch, I would recommend this hotel.

I spent 40 years on the road. I’ve stayed in thousands of hotels. This hotel, the Altus Palace, was spotless. But what really set it apart was the staff. I have never before seen such attention from hotel staff. Always eager and informative. And most of all they were genuine. Really very nice, helpful people. The best!

A really nice hotel and great value for money, the rooms are immaculate and have everything you need. The location is great with just a short 10 minute walk to the centre of Wroclaw.

We didn't use the restaurant but did use the Spa facilities which were a really nice bonus. It was the first time i've used such facilities and the Polish/Irish girls at the Spa was very helpful in showing us around and explaining the facilities.

Only one very slight negative, I have stayed here previously and was offered a drink whilst checking in, we also had a a sweet treat left in our room on an evening. We didn't get either on this occasion. Not a huge issue and i would still give the place an overall 5 stars and would return again however, it did feel slightly as if we weren't treat quite the same as I was visting with a group of males as opposed to visiting as a couple last time.

Wow! this hotel is everything as a frequent solo traveler it exceeded my expectations best hotel I have ever stayed in it’s an easy 5 star all round from me. Every member of staff within the hotel were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. I stayed in the mezzanine room with views overlooking the gardens simply stunning, made use of the spa facilities which were included in the room rate and such a relaxing space. I returned from being out one evening to the room and cookies had been left on table with a lovely note, curtains had been closed and all cozy for the evening such a lovely gesture. Breakfast the following morning was amazing such a great variety to choose from and you also had a choice from the Al a carte menu. If you haven’t already visited this hotel then you should 100% recommend thank you for a wonderful stay.

The remolded palace was elegant and pleasing for those who can appreciate the art deco styles. The staff was very helpful. The restaurant was excellent. Old world luxury in convenient central location

Fantastic room [the larger suites], solid breakfast and service at restaurant. Jacuzzi and Saunas is a great place to relax - very clean.

What could be improved is to provide body wash small bottles n rooms with bathtub. Gym, while good use of space, is tiny and could have heavier dumbbells to get a workout


Also, has dog friendly rooms in case travling with family/friends that have small dogs.

Location next to park and creek ideal for walking, jogging, and biking.

The hotel is very nice and clean. It is within a walkable distance to the city center and multiple restaurants.
The noise level from the street can be overwhelming at times (especially with the trams passing). The noise made it challenging for us to get rest. We were also surprised that the staff did not offer to help with our luggage given the 5-star rating. Overall, the stay was okay.

The property is beautiful but we were out in a room just steps off of the lobby on the first floor. Literally you check in, go up four steps and our room was right there. We had a room looking out the front of the hotel and had to keep the shades drawn at all times even in the bathroom or else people walking by could see us. It was incredibly noisy with the train going by constantly outside our window as well as all the lobby noise. Doors banging people talking and laughing, clomping up and down the stairs outside our door. So loud. All the doors were terribly cracked and ugly. The rest of the room was fine. Beautiful bathroom. We had to ask for a pillow case to be changed since it had mold stains on it.

Really wonderful hotel - boutique chic - stunning room really modern nice bedding could have had better pillows - jacuzzi a great advantage after walking the town - near town centre with plenty of bars and shops and cake !

Lobby bar quite small and closed early - we did sit in there but only enough seating for 10 people - didn’t use the restaurant for breakfast - nice touch fresh water and coffee everyday

Nice but noisy

The hotel is elegant and well located. However the room we were in .. 108 was incredibly close to a tram line which made it very noisy at night and early morning so we didn’t sleep well. The spa is nice but much smaller than it looks on the pictures.

We visited Wroclaw for my husbands birthday over New Year. After reading reviews i contacted the hotel to ask if it was possible to have a room away from the tram line which runs right past and to make them aware it was a special occasion. They offered balloons in the room which i had to pay for (no problem with that) but they were a little disappointing (5 standard latex balloons). We also ended up with a room right on the tram side which you really can hear and feel when the tram passes...but you get used to it.

The hotel itself is really lovely though. The decor was gorgeous, it was absolutely spotless and the hotel is in a great location so you can walk everywhere. Some of the front desk staff weren't too friendly, you didn't get a hello or goodbye when greeting them when passing the desk but its not a huge issue and maybe just a difference in cultures.
The spa was also a lovely addition that we used a number of times. Overall i would definitely recommend Altus Palace and if i was to visit would absolutely stay there again.

We booked this hotel expecting a luxurious room and a relaxing wellness stay, but our experience was mixed. The room we were given had windows so high above our heads it felt like a prison cell—not terrible, but certainly not what we anticipated. I asked if we could switch rooms, but unfortunately, there were no alternatives without the same issue.

The breakfast, however, was absolutely superb. It offered everything you could want, and the service was attentive. That said, there was one notable issue: when we were seated, a silverfish was crawling on the table. We didn’t sit down and called a waitress to address it. The silverfish was still alive and scurried away before the waitress could grab it with napkins. Rather than offering us a different table, she asked if she should simply change the tablecloth. While I agreed, it was an awkward situation as we stood there watching her clear the table, find the right-sized tablecloth, and reuse the same silverware, which the silverfish had crawled over. That made us a bit uncomfortable. A 5-star hotel should have a better protocol for handling such situations, like immediately relocating guests to a new table.

On a brighter note, the breakfast itself was delicious—truly one of the best I’ve had!

The spa experience was also a mix. While the amenities were clean and well-maintained, the water in the Jacuzzi was disappointingly not warm enough to relax in. We had to warm up in the sauna instead.
