This hotel had the midas touch.

It was our 1st visit to Cala san vicente and we definately picked the best hotel.

What a lovely boutique hotel. Small and perfectly formed.

We stayed for a week and had a fabulous experience. Breakfast and lunch was lovely. The staff were so helpful. Special thanks to Concita, who when the hotel had a plumbing issue, was most attentive making sure we were ok and keeping us regularly informed. Xchika and Andrea made us feel most comfortable and welcome.

They staff at front desk always went that extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble.

We would.love to return back next year. X

Lovely setting. Small but comfortable Sea view double room and bathroom (no tub, large shower). Excellent breakfast. Close to Pollenca which has a lot of great restaurant options. Easy access to Formentor area. The only negatives, a bit musty smelling - one pillowcase smelled mildewy, and the plumbing must be old. There's no dedicated parking; a small lot in front of the hotel has about 4 spots and there are parking limitations (no parking M-Sat from 0830-1330) but plentiful free parking is a 50m walk away. Overall really nice and we hope to return some day.

The views are stunning and it is very quiet, found it a relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful

I didn't like that the bar and the sitting lounge were not air conditioned, so there was no where to relax indoors with a cold drink as they were incredibly hot.

The hotel handled the situation as well as they could but I booked with Hotels.com and what’s to say this won’t happen again

This is a nice modern hotel, the staff are friendly. However, we stayed in the annexe the room was soooo small, we had no balcony the door to an outside space ( about 18 \" in dept ) looked on to a high wall so this made it feel even smaller. The swimming pool is on the roof but really it's only a paddling pool. The hotel over looks a lovely bay, so nice to sit and have breakfast over looking the sea.

Small beach front hotel

Steps to a sandy, mixed rock beach in a small cove. Amazing, friendly, multi-lingual staff. Small, well appointed clean rooms, sweet small town that seems to have a cadre of mostly European regulars. 40 minutes to Palma.

Lovely hotel in a great location.

This is a lovely small hotel in a great location. It is situated next to a pebble beach which made getting in and out of the sea very difficult but there is a sandy beach 5 minutes walk away.
Lovely welcome on arrival from Conccia.
The hotel breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice.
The bedroom was perfectly appointed and very clean. It had everything you could want in it - kettle, fridge , hair dryer , safe and plenty of staorage. The room was a bit tight for space but that was fine as the bed was large and comfortable! Good pillows too!!
We ate in the hotel restaurant at night for the three nights we stayed - my first meal was outstanding, the other two more average.
Will return and recommend.

We stayed here for 5 nights. A lovely small modern and clean hotel. Very freidndly reception and bar staff.
Excellent food at the restaurant, we ended up eating at the hotel most evenings as the place is very small.
The beach is lovely, rocky underfoot. But the other beach the other side of the village is better for swimming sandy and also has a little beach bar too.
I would also recommend visiting Porta pollenca. Which is only a short bus ride away.
Hotel rooms were very clean, excellent air con (which was needed as it reached 42 degrees) balcony over looking the sea and a TV with lots of English channels.

The hotel is situated between beautiful turquoise bays. The buffet breakfast is outstanding and the staff are so kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Not big, as is common in Europe, but you don't spend much time in your room anyway. I would go back!

Lovely hotel in excellent location

Ours was a very clean and well laid out small room with everything we needed, including tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Welcome drink was a nice unexpected touch. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful with good knowledge of the local area. Restaurant was fantastic with a wide choice for both breakfast and our evening meal. The roof top pool and loungers provided a great area for relaxing and admiring the sea views. We would definitely return.

Great location, but over rated and over priced.

Friendly check in with champagne/cava on arrival. Room was VERY tiny and no view or terrace...I was expecting a little more for the price paid ($200 US). The pool is equally tiny and only about 2.5 ft deep. Beach views are obstructed by the larger hotel next door. Tried to order a snack from room service, was called 10 minutes later and told they were out of what I ordered. Tried to order something else and then they called me back 30 minutes later to say they were out of that too. To be clear, we were ordering the most common thing around...jamon y queso first time around, then a pizza with staple ingredients on the second go round, and you're out?! But they tried to tell us to come eat at the restaurant instead, saying they had a full kitchen. No thanks, I'll go eat elsewhere. Thankfully it's a great location with many tasty restaurants within walking distance.

Great Location on the Beach

Beautiful Hotel run by Managers that do not care about their Guests. We were made to feel unwelcome and an inconvenience.
Three members of staff appear to do all of the work, the remaining staff were rude and surly.
Enormous shame as the hotel itself was amazing. Situated in a beautiful cove on the beach with good restaurants and bars that were busy enough for an atmosphere but not too overcrowded.

Great Family Hotel

The hotel was excellent, staff very friendly and the food delicious. Our ground floor room was spotless although a little small with no balcony area which meant drying towels/costumes awkward. It was also just along a short corridor to reception and the stairs to the bar. This meant at night it could be a bit noisy. Although a fantastic view from the terrace restaurant and bar over the beach and bay, it was also very close to the rear of a large hotel with there large pool which had organised events such as water polo and aqua aerobics, [with loud music]. This tends to die down during the late afternoon and the entertainments section of this massive hotel is far enough away not to be an issue. The public beach is very stony a good way out to see so protective food wear is recommended, and it gets very busy. Sun loungers and parasols are expensive but were needed in Mid July! For those with youngsters it has a lifeguard on duty all day.

We had one evening meal at the hotel which was very good and used the terrace bar most days. Breakfasts were fantastic, with a great variety of food available - something to suit all tastes.

The hotel staff were very helpful - we arrived early before our room was ready but were able to change and leave our cases securely and get straight out into the sun. We had a very early departure time and were given \"a picnic\" to take out although this was very disappointing - and we think a lot had been left out.

All in all though we had a good time

Small, charming hotel in a picturesque location.

The Hoposa Niu hotel, Cala San Vicente is ideal if you are seeking a relaxing holiday. Its location next to a sheltered cove offers views of low cliffs and incoming waves. Swimming in the turquoise blue water is exhilarating and the clear waters offer great snorkelling. The staff are very welcoming, courteous and helpful. The waiters will share a joke without being over-familiar. The hotel offers Bed and Breakfast holiday bookings only and evening meals are available as a pay as you go option, which guests will need to include in their budget. The bedrooms have been recently tastefully renovated and are pleasing and comfortable with satellite TV offering BBC 1 and 2, Channels 4 and 5. The bathrooms are also modern and well-appointed. There is a new plunge pool and sun-bathing area located on the roof of the hotel. The finishing touches were being put in place during our stay in May 2015, and this area will be an appealing feature for those not wishing to sunbathe on the adjoining sandy beach. A hire car is recommended as transport to the hotel and for sight-seeing as Palma is a good hour away by bus. All in all, this is a lovely hotel and resort.

A lovely little hotel, in a wonderful location right on the beach. Rooms are a little tired but are due to be refurbished winter 2014/15. The resort itself is quiet with limited restaurant choice and is quite hilly. Would recommend paying a little extra for a sea view room, it really is worth it!

Amazing Beach!

I was a solo traveler from New York and my experience at Hotel Niu was great. The location was incredible and the room was very ideal. The beautiful beach was just steps away from the hotel and the local store is about a minute walk. The view was definitely breathtaking! The staff was nice and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was the usual but pretty good.

When there was a problem with our original room (room 201 was noisy due to being right on-top of the servers entrance) they switched us with no problems. Very courteous staff. The quality and variation of the breakfast was great.

Beautiful except for the noise

I would have given this hotel a 5 in all areas if it wasn't for the noise! Our room was great, the restaurant and breakfast was great, the location is stunning and it was so nice to find that we actually had a double bed rather than two twins pushed together. The hotel is sparkling and pretty. However, drilling started at 9.00am every morning directly underneath our room and what sounded like trucks passed our window in the early hours. Having said that, I would definitely go back!

Late Booking - Very Happy

We booked this hotel when we had an issue with another hotel in the same area. Some of the reviews were unkind which set our expectations a little low. For the price we paid it was very good value. We had a hire car and were not too fussed we did not have a seaview. Often we were back very late from exploring other parts of the island or getting back from dinner in the neighbouring villages. Only issue was the twin beds are not tied together and move apart easily. This was clearly one of their more basic rooms but as we booked the night before this was our fault. Room 120 in the annex. Service was wonderful and provided me with a electrical adaptor without any fuss. The view from the terrace is great. This area is a little quite but the larger villages with many dining options are only a very short drive away. I would recommend this hotel. We are a couple in our 30's without children.

THE NUI IS IN A GOOD POSITION OVERLOOKING THE BAY AND BEACH ALTHOUGH VERY CLOSE TO A MUCH LARGER HOTEL, THE DON PEDRO, WHICH DOES SPOIL THE VIEW.THE OUTSIDE EATING AREA IS PROBABLY THE NICEST SPOT IN THE RESORT AND FOOD IS GOOD IF A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. MOST OF THE OTHER RESTAURANTS IN RESORT ARE QUITE POOR, CALA SAN VICENTE IS QUIET PLACE AND SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS ARE BEAUTIFUL

Must read before booking

We reserved several rooms for our wedding guests at Hoposa Niu. The location is incredible--right in front of a fairly secluded gorgeous small beach, nested in a gem of a quiet neighborhood that is not as touristy as Port de Pollensa. Our room on the second floor was simple, large and clean and the terrace overlooked the stunning beach. In fact our room was the envy of our 4 sets of guests who stayed at the hotel. They all complained that their rooms were small, and their bathrooms stunk of sewer; one room smelled with dankness and fresh paint; and when it rained on one night, the roof leaked in one of the bathrooms. On this night, in one room, an object rolled back and forth across the roof throughout the entire night. My friend likened her experience as \"Chinese water torture\". I feel terrible for my friends and family who all complained of their rooms but very grateful for room 107. Pros: incredible location, helpful staff, great breakfast; cons: potentially small rooms that may have a bad odor.

Sooo yucky. Went with a large group and we rented between us 6 rooms. Each one except for one was dirty, uncomfortable, tiny. The hotel is dilapidated to an extreme. The group was pretty miserable for the 5 nights we were there. It was a big disappointment.

A great little hotel for couples

A Small hotel in a superb setting right on the beautiful beach of cala barques . The room was basic but clean. The bathroom was in need of updating. The shower was poor and the tiles very tired. The dining area was in a lovely position overlooking the beach. We had bed and breakfast board but did eat in the restaurant a couple of times. The food was superb and the ambience romantic.

The hotel was in a beautiful location with lovely views over the bay, the staff were very friendly, polite and professional..The selection of foods for breakfast were excellent catering for all types. . The downside of this hotel is that the rooms are on the small side with very cramped bathroom ( difficulty to get on toilet which is obstructed by the washbasin).With only 24 rooms there is a likelihood you will have a rear facing room with no balcony or view.

Relaxing stay with 17 month old toddler.

We took our 17 month old son. The hotel provided a clean cot and were happy to warm up baby meals. The staff were friendly, helpful and even played peek-a-boo endlessly.

Lovely little beach with a small area which was suitable for taking our son paddling. Easy to reach other parts of the Island and not too touristy.

If you're looking for luxury there are other, more expensive options in Cala San Vicenc. But for its location, its atmosphere, its views, its food and the loveliness of all the staff there, Hoposa Niu is without equal. From Silvia the cleaner through to Manu and his team out on the cafe terrace, this is a hotel with a happy disposition. The bedrooms are small and basic, kept immaculately clean with a daily service - but with so much on your doorstep (the beach is literally down the steps), it would defeat the object if did much more than just sleep and shower there. Everything else is perfect, from the complimentary breakfast, enjoyed out on the terrace with its glorious view out over the bay to the chocolate brandies we'd enjoy last thing before bed, listening to the crickets and the goat bells out there in the hills. For a sensibly-priced hotel in a perfect location, Hopsa Niu is a gem.

Nice, but not fantastic

I got eager because of rave reviews, so here are my thoughts after one week there. Nice location with a small romantic beach, but the beach can be very crowded with domestic vacationers. Staff is nice, but very slow on refilling buffet. Breakfast is only average, variety ok but quality of food not top-notch. The restaurant is ok but pricy, value for money so-so. Our room was clean but very dark.

Zum Baden ist die Bucht leider nicht geeignet (fast jeden Tag hängt die Rote Flagge und es ist windig)

Das Hotel ist klein und fein. Die Aussicht wird eingeschränkt durch einen grossen Hotelkomlex, der gefühlt die Gälfte der Bucht einnimmt.
Der Strand ist sehr klein und war geschlossen wegen Verunreinigung.

Très bel emplacement

Très bel hôtel et emplacement magnifique avec vue. Le petit déjeuner est parfait et est pris avec vue sur la mer. Notre chambre était dans un bâtiment à l’arrière du bâtiment principal de l’hôtel. Assez petit mais lit XXL avec une petite terrasse collective mais enclavée. Les plus belles chambre étaient plus cher. À noter, le chef de salle nous a refusé une table pour 2 avec vue imprenable sur la plage et la mer pour notre dîner du soir sans que celle ci soit prise ou réservée puisque nous avons été les derniers clients. Il nous a placé au milieu de la belle terrasse.
C’était très bien quand même mais il aurait dû et pu nous donner satisfaction. Cela étant, avec une chambre vue mer cet hôtel vous donnera entièrement satisfaction.

Le site est magnifique.
Mais l'accueil de l'hôtel n'est pas parfait. Nous nous présentons à l'accueil à 15h15. Il n'y a personne. Une personne de l'hôtel me précise que l'accueil est fermé jusqu'à 15h30.
Un hôtel très difficile d'accès pour les personnes ayant des difficultés pour marcher car il y a beaucoup d'escaliers et pas de parking sur place.

Hotel con encanto

Hotel con encanto en un lugar idílico, la habitación un poco pequeña, pero en general nos encantó pasar la noche. Reservamos el menú romántico (en hoteltreats.com) por nuestro aniversario y nos encantó, fue todo exquisito!! Carpaccio de gamba roja de Soller buenísimo (nunca antes lo habíamos probado), el Tartar muy rico, el solomillo de ternera se deshacía en la boca y de muy buena calidad, el bogavante riquísimo y muy bien hecho!! La atención perfecta y muy profesional. Desayuno muy completo con las vistas al mar, muy recomendado.

Kaikin puolin loistava, ainoastaan ravintolan ruuan laatu/maut eivät vastanneet hintatasoa eikä kuvausta. Ravintola itsessään oli kuitenkin lokaationa upea illallis kokemus.

Das Hotel überzeugt mit einer super Lage und dem freundlichen Personal. Einziger Kritikpunkt war das Restaurant des Hotels, das für die gebotene Qualität zu teuer war. Ansonsten wirklich zu empfehlen.

Ferie for to, med vandring i bjerge.

Hotellet ligger helt smukt dejligt, personalet er venlige, smilende, og meget imødekommende. Et godt sted for par, der elsker lidt ro og fred, og mindre turisme. Gode resturanter i forskellige prisklasser. Husk badesko, der er klipper og sten i vandet. Vandet er vidunderligt, men badning er ikke for børn, kun i vandkanten.
