The hotel was close to the pier. Most of the pictures on the app are from the pool. Room was clean but chips and scuffs aplenty. The staff was super friendly. The only discomfort was the doors. You had to pull or push on your room doors really hard to get them to close. This is really loud when you come in at tnighr and your neighbors are all having the same issue.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic from start to finish - My daughter and I were here for a last minute weekend away for just 2 nights and we had such a fantastic stay. We were luckily able to check in around 10.30am and everything from the location, quality and friendliness of staff, excellent rooms was just wonderful. We have stayed here twice this year and will not hesitate to stay here again very soon. Thank you!

enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel and exceptional warm and helpful staff. One major improvement could be a topper and linens to ensure the two pushed together single beds stay as one double/queen size bed. It was rather uncomfortable with a gap in the bed. Balcony was a big bonus at this hotel. Location perfect.

The hotel is a very convenient and the staff are very helpful. the room was clean and the noise from outside was not too intrusive despite a loud bar on the street.
The rooms and breakfast was fairly basic, but it was all pretty much as promised.

Seemed nice, only slept there.

I checked din at 7pm, didn't really use or see any of the hotel, just the bed and shower.

It is in a fantastic location (30m from port pollensa centre/waterfront), supermarket 100m.

Was very beat tidy and good quality entrance and room

Only thing that let it down for me was the shower was cold. Basin water was v hot, shower was not. Spent 15 mins wondering if I was using the controls wrong.

Very frustrating. Usually I would go out early in the morning, come back for a shower and then check out. But as the shower was cold, I checked out at 8am, did not fancy another cold shower.

After a day on the bike all I wanted was a nice warm shower and bed. Not 15 minutes trying to figure it out then a cold shower.

Literally didn't even look around the hotel, so can't comment on it.

The staff at check in and check out were v friendly and nice. The hotel looked very nice/classy and clean

From the moment I entered the property to the time that I left, I felt welcomed, relaxed and safe, which was just what I needed in order to decompress after a busy business conference in Madrid. This boutique hotel is located one short block off the center of town for shopping, restaurants and strolling along the water. I would come back again. PS. I believe I was given the largest room in the hotel, and I am guessing other rooms on the other floors were quite a bit smaller.

Great location, good hotel lots around.

Lovely hotel nice & central with free car parking a less than 5 mins walk away. Close to the beaches, marina & restaurants. Continental breakfast was good, not a huge choice but plenty for most people.
Only niggle for us was we had the private terrace option which wasn't private at all & 3 times we found people using our beds on our \"private\" terrace right outside our doors, which was annoying. Not sure it was worth the extra as everyone else used it!

The WiFi didn’t really work the entire time. When we asked at the front desk they kind of just shrugged and said there was nothing they could do about it. A/C in room kept shutting off on its own, again they said there was nothing they could do. Not their fault but annoying: very loud concert behind the hotel until 3am, drunk teens making noise in hallways and slamming doors until 7am. Rough nights sleep

A very late arrival due to airport problems. A lovely welcome by the night porter. An excellent room. Noisy bar opposite until 0400. Hotel immaculate, staff lovely. Breakfast a little disappointing, few choices but loads of alternatives within 5 minute walk.

Very cool (not temperature!) contemporary and cosy place right in the centre and the sea is 1 minute walk. Staff very courteous. Place spotlessly clean. Lovely roof terrace for chilling out with all-round views, including the sea. The free Wifi was super fast. Only stayed one night but will definitely look at this place when I get the chance to stay longer. Good work guys!

Calmness depends upon you as you walk through the door, the complimentary Cava helps!
The building is situated in a central position in the Port and is kept in good condition.
The breakfasts are exceptional and are cooked to your request.
The bigggest asset of the hotel is the staff. They are superb. They can’t do enough for you and always have a pleasant demeanor.

Enjoyable 5 day stay

The overall stay was pleasant. The room was very clean and the hotel freshly decorated throughout. Staff were helpful, and assisted us with excursion information and booking activities on the island. The hotel is very close to shops and the beach, only 3 minutes walk. Breakfast was nice, with a choice of cooked items that could be made to order. Only criticism was 1 female staff member who came across a little cold at times, but all other staff were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Have just stayed at Mar Calma for 4 nights with my boyfriend and couldn't fault it. Fantastic friendly and helpful staff, immaculately clean and smart rooms and facilities, great roof terrace with jacuzzi, lovely breakfast which we had on the chairs and tables outside. All round great place to stay. Also fab location right by the square and also the beach is a minute away and the restaurants and pine walk. Will defo be back and would 100% recommend it for a trip to pollensa.

Our room 102 was on a street next door to the liveliest bar around 2 out of the 3 nights the singing shouting & laughing went on to exactly 4am with limited sound proofing it was as if you were right in the middle of it
We didn't get up for breakfast until after 10am we were exhausted
The breakfast however was first class
We went for a lazy break we didn't get one
If we had been with friends staying out to the wee hours which we are partial too from time to time the place would have been perfect

very clean; extremely well maintained hotel (though was clearly given to modern life with enough plugs to charge your phones, ipad, etc, space to put your stuff in the bathroom and in the room, etc...). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is great. A lot of choice for breakfast with very good quality products. I can't say for all the rooms, but our was very quiet and we could not hear anything from the outside. I would have exected to pay more for this kind of quality especially when you're literaly one minute walk from the beach! What you get is exactly what you see in the pictures.

Our stay at Mar Calma was amazing. After a stressful flight where we lost our luggage, it was so relaxing to come to Puerto de pollensa and stay at mar Calma. The location was perfect- close to lots of restaurants and bars, and around the corner from the main square. Only one block from the boardwalk and small beaches. The concierges were both truly amazing in helping us contact our airline daily, as well as providing excellent directions and recommendations around Mallorca. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone staying in Puerto de pollensa!! Thank you Mar Calma!!

We went feom monday to friday for a bit of relaxation so didnt go see any sites and didnt take part in any of the activities this time. Hotel is great and the staff are excellent. Very very helpful and polite. Can be a bit of noise from the pubs on the side street but we were to the front of the buildibg so it was minimal. Hotel is about 100 yards from the marina and main shops. The beach is about 200 yards away. Lots of nice places to have a drink at night like the lemon lounge

Conveniently situated hotel with friendly staff

We loved our stay here. The hotel is very central and convenient with a wide range of restaurants nearby as well as beaches. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were fairly quiet. There is some noise in the morning from street cleaning etc.but this was not a problem. Breakfasts were good with hot food freshly cooked for you. There was free parking about 7 minutes walk away. I would not hesitate in going back to this hotel.

3 Day stay at Mar Calma

Stayed here for 3 days between 2nd and 5th of November 2014. The room was clean and spacious and serviced every day. I found the staff to be efficient, helpful and extremely courteous. The breakfast buffet was a bit limited, but absolutely adequate. Don't expect the 'full english' - you're in Mallorca, not Manchester.
For what I paid, the accommodation was first class. It is on a busy street and parking is a bit restricted. The rooms are well insulated from external noise.

Central, modern and there's gin!

Mar Calma is very centrally located in Port de Pollensa, minutes from both the esplanade/ beach and town's main square. The only downside to this can be the noise from the restaurants and pubs around it (light sleepers beware). However we had no problems in our first floor room with the windows closed and very efficient air con on.
The rooms are clean and well equipped with nice shampoo/gel and soap provided. The staff could not be more helpful at the reception and in the bar/ breakfast room. The breakfast buffet gives a big choice and you can have a cooked option too (great omelettes). In the evening the bar serves nice cocktails and an amazing array of gin, all served in their own way.
The sun terrace at the top of the hotel boasts a spa tub which is great, but beware unscrupulous guests who remove the towels from this area for their own beach use (shame on them!)
I would really recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a modern, relaxed hotel in a great location.

Our room was very small and claustraphobic so I cancelled teh remainder of our booking and moved elsewhere.. To be fair hotel was ok but not as we had expected very small, no balcony, felt a bit like a premier inn and the area was far too english for us not rtaditional spanish at all. Staff very polite and helpful and helped us cancel our booking, ver professional.

One handy hint for the hotel-please get a better coffee machine in the breakfast room as the one in use is slow and the coffee not very hot. Book the top floor room if you can, although we stayed in a standard room for the first night and that was also great.

Warm welcome

Overall, we had a great stay at the Hotel Mar Calma. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and always eager to help, which was lovely. The room (306) was a good size and the bed was very comfortable (although it was two single beds pushed together). We had a room with a balcony at the front of the hotel which was great except for the level of noise, particularly on Saturday night. However, on the plus side, the central location of the hotel was great as it was less than five minutes walk to the seafront and all of the restaurants. The hotel was clean, modern and stylish with lots of interesting decorative features. We did have an issue when we requested an iron and there was no ironing board, which we found to be quite difficult as we would expect this in a four star hotel. The breakfast was really delicious and there was a wide selection of food available in the buffet. We would recommend this hotel for couples but perhaps not for families due to the noise issues at night and lack of practicality in the amenities

I was actually looking for a hotel in Alcudia when I saw this one in Port of Pollensa and very glad we did, as location is perfect. Market day is on Wednesday in the Square, where the lovely church clock chimes and reminds you of the time!
There is plenty of parking, you just have to know where to look and the guys on the desk will help.

Not a 'family' hotel but perfect for couples or singles. Everything was immaculate and the staff were charming and helpful. Very chic indeed. In a great position, right in the centre of the resort. Not many people used the roof terrace so I often had that all to myself. Very comfy bed and unusually - a good reading light - also a great shower. And the price seemed very reasonable compared with some of the older hotels along the front. Would certainly go back.

Ich hatte 2 Nächte gebucht und leider wartete bereits am 1. Morgen eine Kakerlake im Zimmer auf mich. Auch das Bad war in sehr schlechtem Zustand. Das Personal versuchte mir zu erklären, dass Kakerlaken in Spanien normal sein und machte sich lustig über mich, dass ich mich deswegen beschwerte. Als ich abreiste, vergass ich etwas im Zimmer. Ich fragte noch am nächsten Tag ob ich es abholen kann und man sagte mir, dass es nicht gefunden wurde. Das ist für mich absolut schlechter Service und habe ich noch in keinem Hotel erlebt, wo ich etwas vergessen hatte.
Kann daher das Hotel nicht empfehlen, es hat aus meiner Sicht keine 4 Sterne verdient und ich würde hier auch nie wieder buchen.
