The staff at Hotel Mar are exceptional - friendly and very hard working. The site and room are very clean and the pool is great though could be larger. The food was excellent and the location is perfect for walking to the Sea and having a cocktail on the waterfront. I would HIGHLY recommend!

This is a resort hotel with an excellent range of central facilities and activities. The whole operation is extremely well managed. All the staff are excellent, but particularly the waiting staff, who were amazing. The suites are large and well designed. The all-inclusive deal (early May) was excellent value for money. Meals were buffet style, with a wide range of excellent food and drink always available.

What made this Hotel special was undoubtedly the friendliness of all the staff from reception to the cleaners, and if you have toddlers then they will be spoiled!, great location just off the start of the pinewalk that runs all along the bay, and huge choice of food in the dining hall, a great Hotel.

For a family holiday I cannot fault this place. The staff are wonderful, the food is wide ranging and delicious, the all inclusive is great value, the games and entertainment is spot on and the facilities are awesome. The kids particularly loved the water slides and the evening show.

We had a great stay in the hotel and our son loved every bit of his time there. The apartment was spacious and well-designed although we found that mattresses were hard and uncomfortable, but we understand that this can be quite subjective. One thing that we found really odd was that the security safe in the room was subject to extra fees which is simply unreasonable and first time I encountered this sort of policy. All staff members that we met were really nice and helpful and made us feel welcome - they definitely make this place great and we can't praise them enough to give them justice. The pool area is great for kids, however, the main pool is too small for the number of guests that the hotel can accommodate. Overall, it is a great place to enjoy holidays with kids when in Mallorca.

Great family hotel - fabulous food and premium brand drinks. Kids club staff were so energetic,my little boy adored the activities and staff. Just be aware that the Pool area is quite chaotic. Overall a lovely hotel in a pretty spot.

The rooms, pool area and restaurant were spacious, clean and well maintained. The staff were efficient and friendly. The choice of food was just right. The only negative was the glazed doors to the shower and toilet which did not offer any privacy.

The rooms are of a really good standard, modern and clean, we had one facing towards the back of the hotel which was great as nice and quiet. Cleaning staff were really friendly along with the restaurant staff. Food was of a good standard although would like to see a bigger space on the food section as quiet busy. Really liked tge kids food station. Inclusive drinks were good and nice as table service at dinner rather than from a machine. My daughter loved the whole experience, especially the slides and use of inflatables. My 2 downsides are 1. Sunloungers, we didn't get up at silly o'clock every day to lay towels so consequently struggled to get any. 2. Would be wonderful to have another bar area to have a nice pre dinner drink in the evening. Only having 1, which is also the snack bar in the day, was a but limiting. Apart from that, my daughter had the best time ever!

Really excellent accommodation and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We booked as a family but really it’s geared up for parents with young children. Breakfast was the only meal we had at the hotel and this was good. I’m sure the rest of the meals would have been fine as well.

Property is very clean and rooms are adequate. Plenty of things to do for children and adults alike. Animation team are great and full of energy which gives a good vibe around the pool. All inclusive food is of good standard but can become boring after 7 days in. Staff really friendly and pool area is very good for adults and children. Although they have rules about not reserving sunbeds it is a case of if you can't beat em join em and you need to get out early and put a towel down at busy times of year if you stand a chance of getting beds together for your family.

Pools were great, a particular family favourite was the crab slide 😀. All inclusive was a first for us and the quality and variety of food was top notch with outstanding service. Very well maintained, clean and high end apartments with spectacular mountain views. Our 3rd time at Playa Mar over the last 6 years and def not our last!

We couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff everyone was amazing and so friendly. We didn’t have any negative experiences.
The guys working in the dining room are so nice even though they are working so fast to keep the space ticking over and the animation team were so lovely to our little boy. They went out of their way to include him even if it was just to say hello & give a high five when passing.
We can’t wait to go again next summer hopefully the weather will be a bit better☺️

Great Spa which was free for guests but jacuzzi was luke warm. The gym was out of use for the duration of our stay which was disappointing. Our overall stay was pleasing with comfortable rooms, good selection of food and good customer service.

As a family of 4, with 2 teenage girls, we absolutely LOVED this hotel and would thoroughly recommend. We spent a week there with dreadful, dreadful weather - only 2 hours of blue sky and sunshine all week, and the rest rain/heavy rain/thunderstorms! Despite this, we had a great holiday and a really relaxing time. The hotel was beautifully clean, both in the common areas and the rooms. The food was delicious and the waiters and bar staff very cheerful, polite and friendly. The hotel is situated right at the far end of the Pine Walk, which we walked along many times - so pretty and quiet. The hotel Spa is FABULOUS - and given the weather, was our saving grace. We spend many an hour relaxing in the jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and pool, which were always very quiet - children are only allowed in for part of the day, and as the hotel had a lot of families with young children, this probably accounted for it. The rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean and quiet (we had a street view room). All in all, we cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and the staff. Thank you to all at Playa Mar for a great holiday.

On arrival we were not offered a welcome drink or escorted to our room. We were informed that lunch service had just finished but there might be some sandwiches and biscuits at the bar. We were unable to find sandwiches, so made do with a couple of biscuits. The room we were allocated was in the ground floor and supposedly a ‘superior’ suite. It looked onto the back end of a huge crab water slide, which blocked any other view. We asked to be moved and were told there was only room away from the noisy pool area and it was not superior. This room had no air conditioning and was stuffy. Reception were unconcerned and no-one came to address the problem. Worse was yeti to come when, during heavy rain, water came through the ceiling and the solution provided was our bath mat placed under the hole in the ceiling for the next three days.
The hotel is only suitable for families with young children. Meal times were like school dinners, with a noise level that made conversation challenging.Unsupervised children chased round the dining room and the bar. Drinks were served in thin plastic beakers until after 7pm, which spoiled the enjoyment of a before dinner cocktail! The food choice at breakfast was good and the tables were set with clean linen and cutlery.
However the evening buffet was very poor and we had no meat during our stay as everything we tried was so tough. The salads and pizza were good and there was always ice-cream for desert. We were glad we only booked four nights.

This is a great hotel,suited for families or couples.Lovely location on bay of Puerto Pollensa in Majorca.Rooms are of a high standard as is the Spa.We went all inclusive.....food very good at all meal times.Drinks fine with good range of branded spirits.Have stayed here with our kids and grandchildren.Came as couple this time.Easy walk to Puerto Pollensa.

Loverly spit next to the beach. Hotel was full but it was very quiet. No noise at night.

Roof top bar was excellent, just needs more staff at sunset when it gets very busy.

Lovely spacious rooms. Staff were really friendly and helpful and clearly worked incredibly hard. Food was ok, lovely choice of salad but quite strange options of meat and not a huge choice. Pool area was lovely. Always enough sunloungers (although it wasn’t peak season). The one thing the hotel is missing is a bar with some atmosphere. The only bar is a huge room where the entertainment is. We tended to want to go for a drink earlier on but the children’s entertainment was usually on which didn’t really suit us as we had no children with us. A separate bar area would have been great.

Fantastic for toddlers & young children

My wife and I decided to ditch the usual super-lux vacation break for one which was wholly centred on our nearly-2-year-old.

And, Playa Mar delivered on many fronts:
- The playground + pool playground were great and kept our son entertained for hours

- The evening entertainment is generally good and the Animation team work really hard to ensure that the children are having fun

- The all inclusive restaurant is good and there is a decent knowledge of allergies etc which particularly helped with our son

Unfortunately, our son could not participate in kids club as there was a min. Age of 4 which I understand is pretty standard for this type of resort.

The resort is otherwise limited for adults; although the spa facilities are very good.

Would definitely recommend for parents who want to focus their vacation around their young children.

Great hotel for families with young kids

Had a great time at the hotel with kids (7 and 4). Staff are great, pools fun, kids entertainment team are brilliant.

Hotel is big enough for good pools and restaurant, but not too big and feels friendly.

Short walk from a small beach, good for paddling, and a nice 10 min stroll along the sea to the small town (shops, restaurants)

Great hotel for young families

Fabulous hotel for a family with small children as we are. The entertainment team are incredibly enthusiastic and deliver every day on activities and mini disco in the evening. The food was of a really good standard each evening having different choice of food. One of the best things about the place was the pools which are geared up to little ones, as are the rooms with lots of little touches to make our stay fantastic.

Superb from start to finish

Lovely hotel. Spotless everywhere. Fantastic friendly, helpful staff. Food was amazing. We left it late to book and as we are a couple with no young children I wouldn’t notamally have gone for this family orientated hotel. I think we were the only couple without children but because everything about the hotel was great it didn’t spoil our holiday.

Just returned from a seven day break with my husband and two children 7yrs and 3yrs).
One of the best all inclusive hotels we've stayed, the staff were friendly and always there to help.
The pools were perfect, little one with numerous safe slides for my youngest and the bigger one with slides for my eldest plus a further large pool.
Food was best we've had at all inclusive, plus drinks service to table.
You can hire pool towels (wish I'd not packed mine) for free
Entertainment team did a fab job
We would definitely go back

Fantastic Hotel Faultless

This hotel is fantastic. Suite rooms are superb. So close to the beach and pine walk which is beautiful. Staff are fantastic. The entertainment team work tirelessly to entertain the kids. Spa and indoor pool facilities are also excellent. Food is plentiful and fresh too.
