I can’t say enough about how much we LOVED this place… we had a fantastic stay… we got a room with a sea view balcony and it was fabulous! The spa pool, sauna, steam room are wonderful… I wished the water in the pool was warmer, but no biggy… the pool areas, 2 others, are set in great locations, the one across the street has wonderful plants, sun visits, gazebos available… we went at the end of October so we always had one available…the water was too cold, but again, no biggy, I know it would be super hot in high season! The breakfast at the hotel is fantastic!!! Huge buffet with all kinds of food to chose from… the dinners were really good too! The setting of this hotel is spectacular: you can have drinks, dinner while looking at the Mediterranean Sea… I can’t say enough… the staff was wonderful, we got quite attached to a few, very friendly! Numerous really funky, fun areas to lounge, read books, on the ground floor… just a fabulous place! The walking path is right by the dining outside and a great way to walk in to the busier areas with shopping, beaches. Easy parking on the street, not sure what high season would be like… VERY helpful staff at check in desk!!!!

Hotel Illa D’Or is a beautiful spot; perfect for relaxing or for touring in the area. We stayed in an apartment and it was lovely - lots of space. Both the beach and pool were nice options. The breakfast was fantastic. We did half board and the dinner was not as good as breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely for Bed & Breakfast

Room was very small and window had grill and was against fire escape, but was comfortable and nicely appointed. Breakfast was great, as were Bar Food on Terrace. However the Dinner option in dining room was awful with pre cooked options. The A la Carte in seafront was ok but much better and less expensive in local restaurants. Go Bed and Breakfast and it's a lovely hotel.

We stayed at 5 hotels in our house search on the island of Mallorca 2024
Honestly, this was the worst one without doubt.
Having spent €500 we had high hopes , but sadly it was not to be.
In summary…
Reception staff, average at best.
Room, the worst room we stayed in the whole of Mallorca, it smelt , bathroom tired, zero view, it was clean however.
Bar staff not happy,
On check out they really were not bothered, pay the bill and leave.
No nice touches as you arrive/leave eg bottle of fizz in the room , sentenced candle when you leave etc. all other Mallorca hotels did something.
Very disappointed, felt like it was living on past reputation, happy to be contacted if the hotel is at all interested, which I doubt.

Beautiful location and lovely place to stay. Just two minor gripes - 1. only option to eat after 1830 is in the fine dining restaurant, which isn’t really suitable for families 2. Sofa bed in the apartments could do with upgrading (my back’s not in a good way). Wouldn’t stop us going back though as the hotel is a lovely relaxing place to spend your time and well positioned for a short walk to the restaurants at the port, whilst being far enough away to be isolated from the hustle, bustle and noise.

Stayed in apartments, couldn't fault it, staff fantastic, BA cancelled flight home staff sorted extra night and courtesy room for later showers etc no issues. Breakfast absolutely superb, omelette lady is a wizard with the eggs. Back soon as we can.

Check in - the receptionist was disinterested, told us the bare minimum, no upgrade or vip options offered (even though these were advertised on Expedia).
No refreshments offered.
No help with luggage.
No offer to store our golf clubs in the storage room downstairs (until the 2nd or 3rd day when we were coming back from a golf trip).

Room - Room on 3rd floor, at the back of the hotel very small - it was the one we’d booked, but having stayed at other luxury accommodation we were still slightly surprised at quite how small it was.
No full length hanging space in the wardrobe, no space to store our empty luggage and the bathroom was basically a small shower room.
The room was boiling hot when we entered as the air conditioning hadn’t been switched on ready for us.

Swimming pools - pool area was clean and tidy and pool was clean and a good temperature, but not enough sun beds for all guests. The sun beds in front of the hotel overlooking the bay are all ‘reserved’ with towels by 8am and the small pool at the side of the hotel doesn’t get any sun until after noon (in September) and gets no air/breeze so is terribly hot.

Overall feeling about the hotel is that on the surface it looks beautiful but sadly we were somewhat underwhelmed by it. We have stayed at a number of luxury/boutique hotels and this just missed the mark, which is a shame as I expect that for their ‘regular’ customers they go the extra mile.

Location perfect. Quiet lovely views and pine walks. Hotel clean and safe.

Room allocated tiny twin, which should have been a double, at back of hotel with view of huge extractor and noisy air con unit. Outside door cleaning cupboard door always open. Didn’t ask to move as only stayed one night. Reception rude and unhelpful on arrival.

Eve food on restaurant terrace and breakfast was excellent. Service very good. But bar food and drinks were dreadful. Salads very dry and club sandwich soggy. Cocktail worst I’ve ever had. However the location and view was gorgeous.

Hotel ok for a short break but wouldn’t personally stay for longer as the offering is inconsistent. Unfortunately it put me off using the spa.

Our stay at Hotel Illa d’Or was great. Our view from balcony, morning breakfasts were all divine. We had issues with our AC unit not cooling the room down, they brought a tech immediately who explained that due to the high heat and surge on electricity it may take some time.
The hotel is located along the pine walk which is a boardwalk along the sea which has numerous restaurants and shops.
Our only qualm was with the jaccuzzi, sauna and steak room. Jaccuzzi was actually cold, and per their policy sauna and steam room need to be activated on request- which we did on 3 single events and did not occur.
These were minor hiccups as the rest of our stay was enjoyable.

The problem with this property was the lack of value for money. The room size is disappointing for 600 euros per night. There was no complimentary water in the room, bathroom accessories and towels poor quality. The restaurant was fully booked for 4 nights after we requested a table yet the need to book was not advised at check in. The TV room had a persistent bad smell ( very similar to urine) - the staff were made aware and seemed to be trying to find out what was causing it. Given the room was required to watch Wimbledon it was most unpleasant. Many guests were complaining about poor service, there were simply not enough of them at busy times. On the positive side: the staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfast food and range was excellent and the location of the hotel is very good. Sadly the overall experience was not worth the cost.

Wonderful hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Port de Pollença. Lovely room but was missing a few items we would have expected for the cost - complimentary bottled water, slippers and perhaps a decent coffee machine. Wi-Fi was patchy in the room which would have been a problem if we had to work, which unsurprisingly we didn’t! Staff we great and very accommodating especially with our bikes and associated equipment. Great for cyclists.

A quiet and tranquil stay at this hotel. Personally I wouldn’t stay here at the height of summer due to the size of the pool and number of sun beds. Great choice for breakfast and restaurant staff were friendly. Room was spotlessly clean but the air conditioning could do with improvements. We will definitely be returning.

The staff were so good - really friendly, very helpful and very professional. So this creates a great atmosphere in the hotel.

It also has the best aspect of all the hotels in the bay. Sheltered from any winds, peaceful but the town is so easy to walk to.

In terms of locations I think it was the place to be in the area. Great bar, great food options, great hotel.

Our stay was wonderful. I the hotel is a little removed from the main center of town but the walk to it along the water is lovely. Dinner and lounging overlooking the bay is a treat. We stayed in the apartment style building across the street which had a more modern feel, balconies overlooking its own lovely pool and tennis court. Everything was perfect and I recommend this hotel.

Great location facing water with a pier right at the door step of the hotel. Outstandingly great service from all hotel staff. There you are treated like kings and queens. The hotel interior and condition is impeccable - what you see in pictures is exactly what you get. Breakfast was great as well. Very worth checking out. The only thing worth considering is it's approx. 15 mins from all public transport if you're trying to head somewhere, but it also makes it nice, quiet and private.
