First hotel is NOT adults only. An adult is 18 years plus but 14.

We had a sea view room on 3rd floor which was excellent. Lovely and clean with a very comfortable bed. Make sure if you’ll book one thought that you ask for at least level 3 , any lower and all you will see is a large tree that grows in front of hotel and not much sea.

Good choice for breakfast although hot food could have been warmer. They also need more than 2 coffee machines to come when busy. Main complaint was the waiting staff clearing tables very miserable and actually quite rude. They really should not reach across guests to clear plates when they are still eating. This happened most days so was not one particular waiter but most of them

Plenty of sun beds around pool available when we were there but many of better positioned ones still reserved for hours on end with no obvious policing by pool staff removing towels after 30 mins unattended as they claim.

Excellent location in a fantastic resort. Single room was adequate but no balcony and very limited view.
Pool area is excellent however the smell in the downstairs toilets is overbearing.
Breakfast terrace location is superb. Only thing that let it down was the watery orange juice and the slow coffee machines which caused queue's.
All my negatives were things that I had read on reviews prior to travelling.

Location of hotel in the heart of the resort. Pool for the exclusive use of the residents is excellent but I did see non residents using the pool. Hotel could do with a freshen up and some of the staff were not engaging. They were in the minority. Our room was a bit disappointing and it had no view whatsoever. We were at the bottom of the price per night so maybe this was to be expected. Being on the first floor the noise from the floor above was not great. Breakfast was good and the quality of the food was good. Having to queue to reserve a bed by the pool was a pain. Overall good hotel with a great location. Would use again.

The Daina is great place to relax and perfectly located to enjoy everything Puerto Pollensa has to offer.
Swimming pool is lovely but having to get up at 8.30am to secure a sunbed is ridiculous, especially as a simple logistical change would solve the problem.
Management team should think a bit harder about guest satisfaction.

Everything was great: room size, bed, bathroom, shower pressure, breakfast, staff are lovely, food and cocktails were great.

Small negative feedback: the rooms are a bit noisy as noise travels through the hotel and from the bar outside, so our sleep was a bit interrupted. We also experienced a weird yellow substance come into the pool from the sea the first few days, but this seems to be sorted the rest of the holiday.

If the sun loungers were full (only happened once to us) then you have the beach next door. Having the beach just there was great for someone like me who loves to go in the sea.

Fantastic hotel overall. Perfect location with the best pool in Pollença, right in the middle of the beachfront with all the shops and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was excellent, definitely one of the best I’ve had, as it had everything (fruit, yoghurt, full cooked, continental, cereal, etc).

Staff were very helpful, which is good as the only thing which let us down was our air conditioning didn’t work for the first two nights. Once we reported it, it was fixed the next morning.

One other minor gripe is that the rooms are advertised as soundproof, and we had what sounded like an elephant stomping around in the room above us at 7am every morning.

Otherwise it was a really great stay and we’ll be back!

Superb breakfast

This was our first visit back to Majorca after 27 years. We were last here with the children. This time an adults only hotel! The ladies on reception were very helpful. We arrived in a hire car and I left my hubby in it whilst I went to ask where we could park. There's no on site parking for cars but a lot for bikes I believe. We unloaded our suitcases and put them in cupboards in reception then went to park the car. We didn't have to go to far but this was April. Our room was ready an hour later. It was very nice. Very clean. We changed and went and found a lounger pool side. The pool is built above the sea. Th pool water is salty. I didn't swim but my husband did and it was bearable.
I have to say that the buffet breakfast is one of the best we have encountered. Huge choice and all beautifully presented.
We had drinks in the bar on a couple of occasions. One evening they had a great singer and guitarist.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel and wouldn't hesitsate to recommend it. We moved on to an Airbnb and me providing the one choice breakfast!!

The hotel is in a great location, the pool and pool staff were great however found reception and breakfast staff not very helpful or welcoming but we did visit at the end of a busy season.
The room was tiny and struggled to apply makeup and dry hair without any decent mirrors. The wardrobe was ok to hang shirts but nothing else so had to hang dresses on the outside of the door.
Overall I would return but think they could make more effort to look at each room from a practical rather than aesthetic point of view.

The hotel was fabulous. Everything felt fresh and was spotlessly clean. Our room was sea facing with a balcony, with room height windows making the most of the view and with good cotton linen and an iron/ ironing board. Although the hotel is right on the promenade, it is not noisy, and with the balcony doors closed ( there is air con) the sound proofing was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is salt water (another bonus) and it’s position was lovely as you could look out into the bay and across the port. Finally, the breakfast choice was fantastic. Possibly the best I have ever experienced, with a first floor restaurant terrace meaning we could make the most of the hotels view from the start of the day. I came here with my teenage daughter for a 4 night break and it was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel!

My partner and I love this hotel!
We stayed last year in the apartments and had the gorgeous views of the mountains, especially when the sun was setting.
This year we stayed again but in the hotel for a change! We had a side view balcony which showed mountains and the beach/port!
Food is great, staff are very kind and polite, location is perfect, the hotel and rooms are spotless. The pool location is outstanding, literally connected to the sea with a stunning view. Would definitely stay again for the third time :)

We loved our stay at the Daina hotel. The room was beautifully done, clean and had a wonderful view of the mountains. It was always cool and the air con a welcome relief from the August heat. The breakfast each day was really lovely with a large variety of fresh foods to choose from.
Whilst we loved the view from the pool area and spending time there, my only request would be a that sunbeds around the pool aren’t ‘held’ in the mornings. Many beds were without people for hours as some people had ‘saved’ them. Possibly a towel system for collecting with room number would help with non guests using the pool area/beds too.

Very stylish hotel now after the recent modern refurbishment. Great location, acceptable breakfast (everything else was outstanding, and the breakfast was only average, so could be an area to work on to bring it up to the quality of the rest of the hotel), really helpful and friendly bar and reception staff. Made me feel very welcome. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in PP before, and since the refurb, this is now one of the very best. Stands out from the crowd. All rooms very good value. Will probably upgrade to a bigger/sea view room next time. Thanks for an enjoyable stay

The hotel was very central and it had a large outdoor swimming pool for its guests. The rooms were comfortable and an adequate size. Plenty of choices at breakfast and they have a small terrace to sit on looking across the bay. My only criticism was that our room only had one bath towel and it took two attempts at contacting reception to get another and the bar staff seemed under pressure due to only having one waiter for quite a large outdoor area

We had a great week at the Daina. The view from our sea view room was breathtaking, it was also clean, airy and comfortable. It’s one of the few properties on the seafront with a pool, which was a good size and well maintained, although my only slight feedback was that there was a slight shortage of sun loungers as the hotel got busier towards the end of the week. Only a minor issue though and didn’t impact our stay. There are lots of fantastic bars & restaurants in close proximity, as well as boat tours and other excursions if you want to go further afield. All in all, a great stay and we’d definitely return.

An anniversary visit

We have stayed here a couple of times. The hotel is in an excellent position on the Pine Walk. The hotel’s pool is across the walkway, plenty of sunbeds and a bar. The buffet breakfast is good with omelettes made to order. We traveled to the hotel from Palma by bus and walked the short distance from the bus station to the hotel. I happily recommend this hotel.

An amazing Hotel set in a perfect position with in P. Pollensa. We have stayed many times in the area but this was by far the best hotel from all sides. Strongly recommend and also has the benefit of supplying Beach towels daily to save you taking them in your case. See you soon.

However my wife loved the pool and location so much we returned, no noise from pub.. hurrah. A great stay. Lovely staff, great food. Very enjoyable. Thank you everyone at Daina. Amazing views from our room and the restaurant,the pool and sunbeds out on the beach also a bar for snacks snd drink with the sound of the waves in the background.Little extras such as a fridge in the room ,no charge for the safe free beach towels . Food excellent chef available to cook from fresh for you .Only complaint any possibility of gluten free bread and cereals or cakes,and pastries. Also in comparison to other hotels/apartments very few British TV channels only BBC1 BBC2 Channels4 Sky News and C bbs locally majority of hotels had at least 3 more English speaking channels also TV reception was difficult at times.. But overall a wonderful holiday

If you are looking to be beachside in a well-appointed hotel with pool and its relaxing area then Daina works well. The bar and outside terrace area are used heavily by non-residents so they can be busy but they are nice spaces.
Dinner is buffet style of which we aren't huge fans but the food was a good standard, varied and well-prepared and the restaurant was never overcrowded so it had a leisurely feel.The staff are also attentive for wine and will have your used plates and cutlery away pretty quickly.
One tip - If you want a sea view avoid room 104 if you can. The view is heavily obscured by a pine tree which is a shame because it's a pleasant view and the room is directly above the restaurant with its noise especially of chairs scraping on the tiled floor. This is an older hotel and you can expect noise from other rooms as well but we didn't find it overly obtrusive. Overall,and for the price, it ticks the boxes.

High quality hotel in a central location

We stayed at the Hoposa Daina for a week and were very impressed with all aspects of our stay.
We had a front sea view room, (204) which was well worth the extra cost. We had wonderful views over the bay and the marina.
The location of the hotel is right on the front on the Pine Walkand in the centre of Puerto Pollenca, so you have everything within easy walking distance, including a five minute walk to the bus terminus where you can get buses (air-conditioned coaches) to places all over the island.
Our room was very well equipped: chairs & small table on balcony, a minibar/fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, tv with English channels, drawers, shelves, hanging space and safe in the wardrobe, large walk-in shower, loo and large washbasin, shelves and a drawers on each side of the bed, which was larger than our king size at home.
All the public areas were spotless and the staff were courteous, helpful and friendly.
The pool area was spacious, clean and the pool bar fully stocked with any drink you could wish for. We felt the drink and snack prices were very reasonable.
We were half-board and were extremely impressed with the quality and variety of food for both breakfast and dinner. Apart from one or two cooler days, we sat on the veranda area of the dining room which was lovely.
All in all, we are very happy to recommend this hotel.

The hotel was lovely. Very well located with incredibly friendly staff and excellent facilities. The breakfast buffet was varied and really tasty and it was really nice to be able to enjoy it on the sun terrace first thing in the morning. We had a little issue with our room which meant that we had to change a couple of times due to booking clashes but the hotel staff were very helpful and compensated us with a free dinner and cocktails at the pool bar.

Fantastic position. Right on promenade, with pool right on beach. The hotel pool, which was also the cocktail area in the eve was excellent. Live music every night which was great. Having been before, expectations were high. Didn’t disappoint. Have to say , only downside was as World Cup was on, staff insisted commentery was in Spanish, even though they had been knocked out by then. Get a room as high as possible, either at front or side of hotel. Noise from traffic and deliveries at rear starts at 6.30am!!!

Hotel and it’s location perfect. We had a room with side sea view, I emailed before requesting high floor close to front and this was given to us. Central for everything in Puerto Pollensa. Pool area on beach ideal. Buffet style food in restaurant excellent. June, early July best time to visit before the school holidays when it becomes very busy!

This hotel had everything we could wish for. The location was perfect, right next to the beach and in the centre of the lovely town of Porto Pollensa. Masses of restaurants to choose from all within easy walking distance. The pool was gorgeous and the pool bar was the fabulous setting for live music in the evenings looking out over the bay. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable and kept very clean.The staff were lovely and very helpful.
The only negative comments we made were that 6pm is early for the pool to close it would have been nice to have an evening swim after going out for the day.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others

Thought bedroom was very basic for a 4 star hotel. Cleaning was a bit below what I would expect. A lot of fluff under bed. Also felt toilet could have done with some bleach to remove stains.
Staff very friendly and helpful and dining area for breakfast was very clean and good choice of food.

Our only gripe was that anyone could use the pool, which then leads to a lack of sunbeds. They need to make it residents only. The pool bar staff could be friendlier too.

GREAT STAFF AND GREAT LOCATION

Stopped here recently on short break but ended up in hospital after a crash on my bicycle. Staff superb, rang me at the hospital and brought me in things that I needed and then arranged everything with my wife who had to come and bring me home. Its in a great location on the seafront and the sea view rooms with balcony are big and lots of light. Will definitely be back.

Nice hotel by the sea.

Nice hotel. Great location

Breakfast had a great range of food and drinks available.
Hotel clean and nice ambiance.
Bike storage was good and hire shops just around the corner.

Let down by a freezing swimming pool and poor showers which had very little power.

Great service as usual

We have stayed here several times but usually only for 2/3 days .Booked for a week in October.On arrival we were greeted by duty Manager who remembered us from June.We were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay.Breakfast here is superb and if you are lucky you can eat on the balcony with its superb view.Breakfast superb.Evening meal also varied and good .We had a room with a sea view,worth the extra...well worth the extra.We will be back.

Nice hotel with very helpful staff

Very happy with hotel and very good breakfast all staff very friendly and helpful, would pay extra for a room on front or side of Hotel next time as a lot of noise early morning from delivery wagons and bin lorries on the back of Hotel so had to keep patio door closed which made room very warm. But would stay again.

Very good hotel, great location

Stayed in Sept 17. Hotel is right on the front, close to start of pine walk. Staff friendly and helpful - only weird thing, no greeting or checking room number when coming in for breakfast. Not necessarily a negative but just a bit odd, so no explanation as to whether they will cook to order etc - they do. That said breakfast was fab - loads of choice from cooked to cereals, breads, lots of fruit, ham and cheeses, Danish etc. Lovely start to the day as sit on first floor balcony. Room had tons of wardrobe space, comfy beds (although made up as twins not a double), nice bathroom with enormous shower. Was at back of hotel so no sea view - but on 4th floor so had lovely view of mountains and balcony had sun in afternoon, early evening. Room well sound proofed. Nice cafe/bar downstairs, very relaxed. Didn't use pool/sun beds as prefer the beach about 10-15 mins away. Hotel is great - perfectly situated for extremely relaxing break. Bus stop 2 mins walk - only 15 mins into Pollensa old town. Restaurants all around you. Highly recommend.

Great location

Clean rooms with effective air conditioning and sound proofing mean you stay close to beach, shops and restaurants but are not disturbed at any time of the day or night. Breakfast room is light and airy and you have an option to sit on the balcony with a fabulous view of the sea, port and mountains beyond. Wide variety of freshly prepared foods on offfer on relaxed atmosphere. Pool area was clean and lots of sun beds available. As pool is out in a promontory, it feels like you are on the beach. Hotel provides pool towels. Beach 20 metres from hotel door. Would highly recommend.
