I don't ever leave reviews for hotels, unless they are bad experiences, but this one was such a refreshing experience I had to leave a glowing review. Quick and easy check-in and check-out, rooms are very roomy, with modern redesign and lots of thought put into it all, comfy beds, heated bathroom floors, great services and events in the lobby bar. Even an amazing Turkish restaurant underneath it (not very easy to find at first). Easy access to train station as well (5 minute walk), next to all sorts of venues, restaurants, nightlife, stores, etc. All in all an amazing experience. Highly recommend it.

Something extraordinary that I’ve never seen before was unscented beddings and sheets. It was very nice!

Loved the room, the place in general and the staff. Unfortunately there was dirty towels in the bathroom, the oven hadn’t been cleaned and was covered in cheese that had dripped down, and previous guest must have broken a glass as I ended up treading on a piece and having to extract it from my foot.
I did message via WhatsApp however got no response.

Lovely view from the balcony overlooking the river. Was very relaxing hearing the church bells. The rooms were very clean and included everything we needed. It was great being so close to the east side gallery and Uber Platz as we went to watch Hans Zimmer there. Great location and thoroughly enjoyed.

Perfect local

I arrived early and the receptionist found a room for me really quickly. My room was clean and had everything i needed dueing my stay. There are many restaurants literally outside the hotel, many different options. I really enjoyed my stay and will book again.

One lift was out of service, but other than that our stay was great. Within a 5 minute walk from the train station with links to everywhere. A 5 minute walk from the Uber arena with lots of restaurants, a shopping centre and supermarket. Also 10 minutes to the Berlin Wall Museum which is an interesting visit. Would definitely recommend, lovely river view

Superb riverfront views of the city, especially at sunset from our balcony. Well-equipped kitchenette, including a colander for pasta as well as a sharp-enough knife for slicing vegetables and bread. Very responsive staff. Easy availability of clean towels, toilet paper, etc. Very convenient laundromat in the basement. Great location -- very close to excellent grocery stores and the train station, allowing for easy access to must-see locations such as Potsdam.

LOVED my stay here on two different occasions while in Berlin. Especially loved the kitchen & being able to cook in. Prime location -- I walked all over the city from the hotel. The rooms and amenities were all the jazz. Especially cool that there's a café and free co-working space downstairs. Plus, everything is right on the river! 5 stars all the way.

I highly recommend this hotel. Right on the Eastside behind the Berlin Wall and on the river. The room was amazingly clean, with a balcony and city views. You can catch the 300 bus that takes you and connect you to the main tourists places in Berlin by just crossing the street! Moreover, you can ride the bus for 5 minutes to the station and catch the train that takes you directly to the airport. The staff at the service desk were so friendly, helpful and courteous! I will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful sunsets to watch setting over the river. Right on the Berlin Wall. Will be staying again on my return to Berlin. 5 stars. Two thumbs up. Just right!

We love staying at Locke Apartments no matter where. Everything is comfy and staff is always very nice! Check in was quick and easy and our room was amazing, including a balcony with river view. Not sure if it had to do with the location of the room but it was quite noisy in the mornings, sounded like someone was rolling around something heavy (or pushing a shopping cart in the hallway). We were close to the elevator, maybe that’s why. Another but hopefully temporary problem was that the WIFI for our room didn’t work properly the whole time of our stay. The reception gave us several new codes but it didn’t work with either of our laptops (which was not great for work) and not for streaming something on TV, what we tried from our mobiles the last evening.
I would still recommend staying here and will return : )

This hotel is great. I stayed in the base level studio room and it was really well designed and had quality furnishings. The small balcony was nice too. The lobby is a great place to hang out and opens out to the river if you want to have afternoon drinks. Location is great if you’re planning on going out at night.

Nice space, very hip, beautiful view of the river. I will say it’s not my favorite neighborhood in Berlin, but it’s great if you like beer gardens and of course the history! You are right on the East side galley and what remains of the Berlin Wall. We stayed for 5 days. Which is not a long enough stay to offer room cleaning. The room was bright and sunny, it was well equipped if one wanted to stay longer. Has a small kitchen.

An amazing place

This is a newly built hotel immediately adjacent to the Berlin Wall. In fact we must cross the wall to go in and out of the property. The apartments a very nice and full of commodity. The front desk personnel is friendly and helpful. The view on the river is magnificent. I was there for a 15-day trip.

Absolutely beautiful stylish hotel next to the Berlin Wall and close to Berlin Östbahnhof. Check in process was easy and the staff were very helpful & friendly. Room was very clean and comfy, with well stocked kitchen (you also get a little pouch of ground speciality coffee to make in French press) and comfy sofa and seating area. We had a great sleep. We will definitely stay here again when in Berlin.

Excellent Stay near the East Side Gallery

A fabulous hotel in a great location. About 40 minutes from the airport and a short walk from the Ostbahnhof Station. Situated by the East Side Gallery which is well worth a visit. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby and a short S Bahn ride into the centre of Berlin. Would highly recommend!!

The food is terrible, and pricey, but otherwise a very busy and popular spot.
Despite being a smoke-free property, there was a continual stream of 2nd hand smoke coming in through the ceiling vents. Two of the nights it was so bad, we stayed elsewhere.
Some of the appliances are a bit of a learning curve to use, but otherwise the kitchen supplies are basic.
Water in Berlin is hard, however water pressure and temperature at this hotel are excellent.
Local taxi services in Berlin are still confused as to the whereabouts of this hotel, so make sure you have the full address available if you are using cabs.

Really great hotel!! They gave me a free upgrade. Staff were excellent!

I would have given it 5 stars but there was no information in my room on how to contact reception without having to go downstairs (no phone in room). Also I was not told that there was no daily housekeeping so I had to go down to reception to get a few things.

- Well-designed room, good amount of space for a solo traveller
- Good bathroom with a particularly excellent rainshower in terms of water termperature and pressure.
- Not much service to speak of since the property does not offer daily housekeeping but staff seemed friendly enough at check-in and check-out.
- Only downside here is the location which is a little far from transportation links with not much in the immediate vicinity other than tourists gawking at the East Side Gallery.

A fantastic hotel right by the East Side Gallery. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early which was so needed after only an hours sleep! The room was lovely and the small touches really made a difference. It was warm but I really feel the cold so the staff were able to locate another heater for me which was so useful in the -4 weather! The room was clean and well thought-out - lights and plugs by the bed and a variety of plug sockets around the room. The bathroom was stunning and the heated floors such a bonus! Couldn’t recommend more, well worth the price.

We had an excellent 6 night stay at Locke. Quiet and convenient location - so many excellent food options within a 15- 30 minute walk. Also just 10 minute walk to west train station. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a simple yet stylish place.
