ideal location, right next to train station, and uber arena. short walk to local shops, bars and east side gallery. Easy, quick check in. small room and no fridge though. big powerful shower. No fridge in the room and no milk, just coffee whitener. east side mall right on the doorstep with loads of shops and supermarkets.

We were attending a concert at the Music Hall which was only a few hundred metres away from the hotel. Its location was perfect for the nearby train station as well. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and their English was far, far better than my German. They were very helpful with any enquiries we had. The rooms were very clean, tidy and spacious, and the bar very comfortable and the staff once again very friendly. I will definitely use this hotel again when I return! Highly recommended!

The room was nice and clean, comfortable pillows and bedding. Love the fact that it comes with a bathtub, perfect to relax after a long day of walking around.

The bathroom is a bit small, like you enter, then you have to close the door in order to use the toilet seat, and the glass partition of the shower was not properly sealed which means the bathroom floor is flooded after each shower

Because property is beside the Stadium many sports attendees stay at this hotel. Celelebrating is mostly contained to the bar and restaurant areas.
Certainly is a good way to pick up on the vibes of the city and their enthusiasm for their home team.
Would have liked a few more amenities and towels but a pleasant stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our trip to the ice hockey. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable, we all slept very well. We had breakfast at the hotel, there was plenty of choice and everything was hot and fresh.

great hotel & location

First visit to Berlin and will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn again. Easy walking distance from the station, direct train from the airport (about 11 stops). Check inn really smooth and the staff were great. standard room and king bed, room was bigger than I expected as was the bed. nice bathroom with spacious shower (no bath) and clean. east side shopping mall over the road which has supermarkets, cafes, and everything you need and its a short walk to the shops/ bars and east side gallery.

I booked 3 rooms and for all of them;
- Rooms too hot - air con limited to not go below 20
- 'King' rooms were two small single beds pushed together with 2 small single cheap duvets. Beds simple foam like as were the tiny supplied pillows. All very uncomfortable. Felt like cheap hostel. Did not sleep well at all.
- When I complained, I was moved to another room but all exactly the same.
- Tiny TVs in room, only one english channel (bbc news)
- Room was never cleaned during stay, towels not changed etc.
- Safe was damaged, furniture slightly worn etc.
- Wifi unreliable.

Top quality Hotel at a very reasonable price.

The Holiday Inn is a lovely hotel which is ideally situated for discovering the sights and scenery of the east side if Berlin. From the moment we checked in about three hours early , the receptionist allowed us to go to our room which was ready and was in tip top shape. The room was very neat and tidy and had Coffee and Tea and Hot Chocolate available. Breakfast was top class with a choice of a cooked breakfast or a continental breakfast if required. Believe me , the breakfast wont disappoint. Staff were very friendly and helpful . Overall our experience in Holiday Inn Berlin was first class.

A very average Hotel under a big Holidayinn brand.

It is Holidayinn but the hotel is as basic as a 3 star. They don't even provide you a toothpaste or a bottle of water to drink. Breakfast is really basic and they said they are out of stock for Bread which I could not absorb. Wifi did not work after 10 pm.

We stayed for nine days and I would not stay again. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor every time we showered. Staff would not replace shampoo and soap or give us clean cups. We asked one afternoon, before leaving for the evening, for extra towels - to sop up the soaking floor - and shampoo. When we returned late at night, we found we had been ignored. We asked for the shower to be fixed. Nothing happened. The wifi worked maybe 50% of the time. Again, we asked, but nothing happened. I don't expect a luxurious experience at this price point. But I do expect a functional room and reasonably smooth experience. This hotel didn't come close.

I've been traveling extensively, internationally for years and this was the best decision I've ever made for travel. Literally the best possible location for Berlin experience. Extremely safe, quiet, hip, sleek/new, close to trains, tourist sites and the beautiful river.

I was in Berlin for the first time to DJ two nearby venues -- it is close to all the major clubs (including Berghain, which I attended) but not directly next to them, so it's super quiet. Hotel is part of a BRAND NEW sleek complex attached to the new Mercedes Benz arena, with other hotels, loads of restaurants, cafes, and an amazing mall with grocery stores, clothes, hair/nail salons and drugstores -- which I took advantage of all. It's also close to both the U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains, the light rail and buses to get you everywhere. Also close to doner and pizza places :) There's nowhere else in Berlin that you can get the new/sleek/comfortable environment but also surrounded by authentic hipster Berlin and culture (next to Berlin Wall - East Side Gallery).

The hotel itself has a great coffee shop, restaurant, and free apples at the counter! I interacted with the desk/concierge several times and they were extremely helpful and kind. All this and it's extremely reasonable and affordable. 11/10!

Very clean. Room had all amenities you would expect, and a few welcome surprises. Close to U-bahn, S-bahn and tram.

Area around is a bit of a building site, but will be great when it's finished. No disturbance from construction noise, though.

WiFi failed a couple of times, but staff were quick and effective in restoring it when informed.

Great value for money - very enjoyable stay.

The staff were some of the friendliest I’ve encountered and being able to see what is arguably the most famous painting on the East Wall Gallery, from my room was great. The bar was always open with quick service and trhe hotel is minutes away from the Hop On, Hop Hop Off bus stop, great restaurants, The Ramones Museum and much more.

The three things I would say I didn’t care much for was the prices at bar. 3€ for a small bottle of water and 9 -12€ for most mixed drinks. Maybe that’s the standard around Berlin but it hurt a bit. The 3/4 shower door that will let water all over the floor and the step down from shower to floor was pretty big. I’m 6’1 and it seemed big to me.

Overall I would recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Fulfilled my needs perfectly

I chose this hotel because of its location. I was attending a concert at the Mercedes Benz Arena. I couldn’t have been any closer so from that point of view it was faultless. The room was nice and clean and provided all I needed. Good breakfast on offer too. Would definitely use again.

Great hotel to stay at if you want a little bit of the US while you're in Berlin. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The wifi is good. The breakfast is a little German and a little US. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The area isn't that great, but it is changing. Right now, October 2017, there is a lot of building going on.

Great location for the Positions Art fair - close to transportation and good food.
The front desk staff was great and very accommodating.
Unfortunately, the cleaning staff helped themselves to our left over pizza - left part of an eaten slice (could see their teeth marks!!)
Otherwise, hotel was great and would stay again.

Loved it and the staff were great. It was next to a great located metro hub, but the hub was prone to homeless and loiters/hoodlums. Not hotel's fault but it was what it was. And I've come to believe its a Europe thing l, but there were no wash clothes and when I tired to buy a luffa at a store they looked at me like is was crazy (maybe language barrier).

This is a nice hotel, though the rooms could be improved if they had a refrigerator. Breakfast is OK. there is limited parking even in the park house connected to the hotel. Lots of construction around but over all a nice place to stay, It is convenient location on the east side of Berlin.

Was a new hotel but poorly designed. Rooms were small. The bathroom door opened strangely. And then the bed mattress was terrible. Very squishy and made a crinkling noise when you moved on it. Very disturbing. I'm shocked this was overlooked considering it is a new hotel.

Great location for Mercedes Benz Arena

We had a great 2 night stay to visit the city and to see Ed Sheeran just across the road. As is standard nowadays breakfast is expensive, why not offer at a more reasonable rate. Apart from this cannot fault the hotel at all. Very good staff and location right across the road from the Mercedes Benz Arena is great
