Clean and very comfortable hotel. All staff courteous and helpful. Good choice for breakfast (continental) with plenty for everyone. Location excellent for U Bahn, literally 100 yards away. There is a direct S Bahn from the airport to Frankfurter Allee (the S85). Plenty other options also. I will be back in Berlin in the future and will definitely stay at this hotel again. And to top it all, the hotel itself is situated on the roof of a small shopping center. Brilliant.

I had a great stay here.
The rooms are a bit small and hotel was hard to find but once in, it's close to a lot.
Got to take the utrain and visit some markets.
The staff Denys, Franco and Ana were amazing gave me recommendations on places to go the best foods and drinks even at the hotel bar drinks and food were tasty.

Our stay at the niu chain was good as always.
Bed was comfy, room was clean and staff was great.The entrance was not easy to find. Staff was great accommodating our very late check in.

The hall way was pretty dirty and there was a couple of homeless sleeping in the area in the mornings. But we still felt safe walking home at night.

Great transport network - U bahn, S bahn - into the centre. Good connections to the airport. Really good location for the major sites. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and had what you needed, but on the small size. Breakfast was plentiful and self-service; convenient.

Dining in the evening was not great; late arrival and all that was available was frozen pizza, which was limited in choice.

Entry / Exit to property was difficult. Door hidden away and not well signposted. No reception at the entrance, reliant on staff answering a door bell.

Overall good location for transportation, but neighbourhood not the best, friendly and helpful staff and clean and tidy rooms.

Great hotel that I've stayed at twice now. When I came for my second stay I opted for the more basic room as I was travelling solo - would not recommend downsizing. The room felt exceptionally small, even for a single traveller. That being said, our previous room was great. Good breakfast, friendly staff, and a nice bar. Always like the convenience of the location.

They just got bought out by IGH group, so maybe things will improve… but the floors in my room were peeling off around the bathroom, they don’t leave enough towels, there is no desk, the rooms are tiny, the pillow and duvet is covered in a disposable cover (?!?) and the area has a homeless camp next to it under the bridge. I left early and went to another hotel. They wouldn’t refund my unused days, saying it’s an Expedia policy.

The staff was indifferent to all guests, even for Berlin standards. The front desk was not completely attended to 24 hours. We had to wait sometimes five minutes to get in or 15 to pay for a water. I saw a guest trip on a wet floor and hit her head and the hotel staff didn’t even get up to help her or check in. In addition, there was painting going on outside our room. They started very early and the entire room smelled like formaldehyde. I understand that maintenance needs to be done but could there have been a discount, or could they block off those rooms.

Finding the entrance is a real challenge for 1st time visitors as the hotel is above one part of the Ring Center (a handy shopping centre), but very poorly signposted.

Good beds, but mediocre service

The hotel was OK; the rooms are rather small/narrow, and the entrance is not pleasant at all: it feels like you have to go through this rather dingy alley. Also, during the initial check-in the person checking me in was unprofessional (chatting in German w/ their colleague, and not understanding towards the concerns I addressed).
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad hotel, but my experience was far off the (current) 9.0 rating.

The room was very nice, the front desk was kind and helpful. I liked the fact it was staffed 24-7. The parking was horrendous, not the hotel's fault, and the area did not feel safe, especially tucked away so far in the back of a little shopping plaza. But the hotel itself was very pleasant.

The entrance door was hidden, difficult to find, there should have been directions indicating where it was . The rooms too small, hardly space to move around. The location was central but somehow scary in the night.

I had stayed at a niu property in Frankfurt three weeks before and was very pleased with the property. As I was searching for Berlin, the niu HIDE was open for reservation. The very comfortable bed and soundproof room with the large shower is what will keep me coming back to the property. It also has a good FREE breakfast. The only thing different from Frankfurt was the room was cramp and I doubt 2 people could fit comfortably with each other.

Personal Review of Niu Hide Hotel

The hotel was slightly awkward to find but we were left at the entrance by someone who had stayed there before.
I would suggest that you might say in your literature that it is situated on the 5th Floor in the Ring Centre.
Otherwise the Hotel was very clean and tidy.
The reception staff were excellent. The room was clean and neat and had all the required facilities.
Overall an excellent experience - and we have been going to Berlin for over fourteen years. We would return again to this hotel.

Fun hotel. the lobby was cute, so many guests just hanging out either drinking or having their to-go dinners at tables. Felt very homey. Had a 24/7 bar open, nice breakfast. It's located to many small cafe's and a small mall with a supermarket and covid-testing for flights is near by. the U & S trains are both close by. Would stay here again!

This is an amazingly good hotel, very clean and modern. The rooms are small but the beds are big. We'd be happy to have a queens or kings size bed rather then two next to each other. But it was fine this way. The sound system is such a simple yet new for me idea. I liked it tremendously! Some improvements for people with computers could be done in the future.

Wonderful stay!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Away from the touristic center which is actually nice, since Friedrichshain has more Berlin to offer than the center. Location-wise perfect if you are taking the S-Bahn or U-Bahn, but some amazing food, drinks and clubs can be reached by 20-30 minute walk. The rooms were well-detailed and the amenities were adequate. One thing that was missing was storage space in the room for clothes, but we didn't miss it too much. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were cleaned everyday to a wonderful standard. Highly recommend it.

Defo stay again, but staff too cool for schule

My second stay in two weeks and it is a great hotel. Convenient, great value but cool and very good quality. One slight improvement is with the staff customer service. The idea of going out of your way for customers and really caring for them feels a little new to some staff. We checked in, found air con was not working in our superior room (33 degreesC hottest day of year in Berlin). Went back to reception expecting a quick room change (most obvious choice considering we had only just checked in so not unpacked our bags yet), we were told a maintenance person would be called and we would have a room move if it was not fixed. I said we were heading out for the night so it would be late on return so would we still be ok move that late? They said ‘no problem’. On return at 12:30am, the aircon was not fixed and no notification or update. The man on the night shift said a move was not possible. We had to stand our ground for about 15 minutes to argue a 30 degree room was not acceptable. He WAS able to movement our room and did so. Little touches like this and a more attentive front desk would make the Nui hide a prime hotel. We loved everything else about it. It is COOL but the staff play it too cool with a bit of a couldn’t care less attitude (or that impression) at times. Sort that out and it’s wonderful.

Fabulous property, tucked away on Frankfurter Allee. A mere 15 minute tube ride to Alexanderplatz which is the central core to all Berlin's ; must see\" sights. Highly recommended, excellent clean rooms, very modern concepts, marketing's excellent. The breakfast was the best!🤗👍💥

My room wasn’t changed for 3 days so I had to complain. Towels and cutlery were just left without cleaning for 3 whole days. There is only breakfast served at the hotel no other food so it’s very limited, if you feel like a snack you must leave the hotel to eat. The tap on my shower also fell off and needed replacing. I don’t think I’ll stay there again.

Stylish & special hotel with a good value of money

This hotel is very special as it is located on a former parking deck. The room was clean and very comfortable. It was opened recently, so everything is new here. I liked the atmosphere as it is not the typical hotel environment. It is more hip and cool and fits to Berlin.
Breakfast could be improved. (Only one coffee machine which leads to longer queues here and nothing really special on the buffet. But it is still okay in relation of the price.

It's a new hotel. On the roof of a car park. It comes with the snags you'd probably expect in a new building and issues you wouldn't expect in any sort of hotel. I found the staff at check-in to be a bit rude and wasn't best pleased at waiting for two hours to check in to my room because I was 'a different category of customer' while I watched scores of others check in for hours before me. I didn't find the room to be overly comfortable. For me, the location was good but if you're a solo female traveller, I probably wouldn't stay round Frankfurter. Would probably make a great hotel stag. The design is cool. It has a lot of potential. Oh and if you want to get into the hotel (I saw a lot of people say they couldn't find the entrance) then walk towards Ring Centre 2 and you'll see the entrance opposite McDonald's and Subway. Ring the bell and they'll let you in.

Brand new place still working the kinks out I guess. Front door to the entire hotel is VERY HARD TO FIND. There is a hilarious issue where if you open the bathroom door and leave open, you might block the front door and not be able to get back in. The lights and power need some stupid card to be plugged in to work. The beds are very firm and not comfy at all, but everything was very clean. The Halls are very long and hard to navigate. Not worth paying full price of 60 euro or more. Probably better options.

First visit to this hotel, but I quite liked it. It is certainly a basic hotel, but everything you need was there, shower worked fine and was very clean, internet worked well also. The only drawbacks for me was that the room was very small and the view from my room wasn´t very nice. Conveniently situated 3 minutes walk from S- und U-bahn. Nice people in reception - all of them.

Die Lage ist super. Anreise mit dem Auto überhaupt nicht problematisch. Auto kann für 6€ pro Tag in der Garage stehen. Die Bahn geht direkt vor der Tür weg. Kann nicht besser sein. Für sechs Euro konnte man im Ringcenter im Gebäude vierter Stock bei C für einen Tag parken. Praktisch, dass im Hotel ein Einkaufszentrum wie Aldi, Kaufland, Bäckereien und so weiter alles vorhanden war.

Leider keine Wasserkocher, im Bad nur ein einziger Haken. Das Reinigungspersonal asiatisch nicht der deutschen Sprache mächtig, sonst eine top Einrichtung.

Sehr nettes Personal, dass direkt angrenzende Einkaufszentrum mit Parkhaus ist sehr praktisch und eine sehr günstige Lösung zum parken. In der Nähe gibt es direkt eine U und S Bahnhaltestelle, aber auch die Tram ist direkt vor dem Haus so das man ohne Probleme Berlin erkundigen kann.
