The NH was an excellent place to stay for the World University Games swimming meet. It was a quick tram ride to the stop close to the pool. It was very walkable when the weather was nice. Staff was friendly as well.

The room and the hotel were very nice inside. Staff was nice. Unfortunately on our first night, the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate very early I. The morning, I know it’s no fault of the staff, but it wasn’t a very nice experience. Other than that, room was clean and updated. Lobby was nice. Not too much around the hotel though in regards to shopping via walking, though there is bus and train nearby.

Excellent hotel. Very well presented, clean and well maintained. Modern and very comfortable bedroom. Comprehensive choice of food at breakfast. Nothing to criticise the hotel in itself.
However, location is a tram ride or 30 minute walk uphill out of town. Additionally, our 4 day stay was blighted on two occasions by false activation of the fire alarm - the second being at 00:30hrs whilst we were asleep in bed.

The restaurant isn’t any comfone Rather large and a waiting room feeling.The rooms are quiet nice and comfortable. Breakfast good to very good. Dinner a bit overpriced, but not bad. Had no chance to try their pub bar as I didn't receive any attention from their staff there. Tram is inconvenient, as in each direction too far to walk, especially with luggage.
Would I stay there again? No.

We stayed here because my husband was participating in the Berlin Marathon. NH Alexander Platz has the perfect location outside the Downtown area. However, transportation was a few steps away, from the train/metro stations to the busses. Uber or taxis are also very common and safe. We had a wonderful view from our bedroom of the famous TV station. Their breakfast buffet was the perfect wellness buffet that we have had in a while. All personal are very friendly.

It’s a very pleasant hotel but there is not much in the immediate locality apart from a Lidl about 200 yds.
A little more attention to detail would have made the stay better. More than 1 tea bag, having to remind them to make up the room on one morning.
We were there the weekend of the Berlin marathon so it was full however I had specifically asked for a twin which intones said they didn’t have. Expedia had passed on the request with the booking but no one had looked until the day apparently. It eventually got sorted

Overall it was a good stay! Property is clean and conveniently located, just two metro stops or about 4 tram stops to Alexanderplatz, which is one of the main nerve centres of the city. My only issues are that, once or twice, they knocked on my room door pretty early, I thought, for cleaning, and also on one occasion, despite adding breakfast at the reception, they didn’t have a record that I had paid for breakfast for one of the mornings and made me sign on it. But I don’t view these things as major. There is a convenient self-serve shop near reception that sells drinks and snacks. Overall I would recommend!

My initial experience was good but went downhill couple day into my stay. Berlin temperatures were 30-32 when we were there and the aircon was a joke and hardly worked in the night. When I enquired the hotel said it's not a real aircon and the airflow is reduced in the night to consume less energy. I asked if they can provide a fan and they said open the windows. My room was road facing and there is constant traffic noise, it was such a poor suggestion.

A day into our stay we saw ants everywhere in my room, I let it be thinking it is summer and generally it happens in UK as well.

My biggest issue was on the day we were checking out hotwater supply was cut off and there was no information provided to any of us, we were no informed during checkin, no email sent or leaflet slipped into my room. When I enquired with reception they said a notice has been put up in the elevators. I went looking for it and it was stuck to the end of the elevator in such tiny fonts and not visible to anyone if the elevator is full. In my case whenever I used the elevator was generally packed as I was in the 6th floor.

I asked for refund or partial refund of 1 days room rent as we had to have ice cold bath and use the kettle to heat up some water.

Staff had 0 empathy towards the customers and said she will talk to her manager and get back to me about the refund. It's been 5 days and there's been no response from them. I am going to escalate this with my credit card provider.

The property was very clean. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were exemplary and very helpful. An overall excellent stay. My only small criticisms were that the room was a little too hot the first couple of nights(though this became fine after that) the fitness centre was fine but there could be more specific explanation aboutwhat it included, restaurant food was quite expensive and it was not clear that there was no bathtub in the room.

This was my first time to stay in this hotel brand. It was okay. Breakfast options were good but expensive in comparison. I did not enjoy that the cleaning services were at times good on some days versus others. I also did not enjoy that the air conditioning turned off in the middle of the night. That is difficult and I would wake up each night when this would shut off, and it would get too hot, especially during a heatwave in the city. Overalll, good value, but may not stay here again in the future.

Hotel pleasant but not great.
Minimum 25 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz or 10 minutes on a tram. Apart from the hotel restaurant only 1 restaurant (Chinese) nearby.
Cleaning very hit and miss, our cups, glasses and spoons weren't replaced after the first day. We needed a new pillow slip - left the pillow out and took the slip off but didn't get a new pillow slip.
Lifts kept breaking down and the lift doors were vicious if they closed whilst you were getting on - I got a bruise from a closing lift door - not sure they would spring open if a small child was in the same situation.
Very convenient for trams and a lovely large park opposite the hotel.

Quite far away from the sites and the City Centre. Restaurant very limited and very expensive. Loved the complementary sweets. Complimentary water and perhaps a bag of crisps would be a bonus. Other NH Hotels have a better food selection e.g. Plaza de Armas in Sevilla which is excellent. One question, is this just in Germany but why are the beds not made. I have had similar experiences in other German hotels. I am sure that there will be a good reason for this, I am sure, would love to know though.

Der Mitarbeiter der Feierabend machen wollte teilte mir mit, dass mein erster britischer QR code Impfnachweis und zweite Impfung im deutschen Impfpass nicht anerkannt sei sondern nur der EU QR code. Musste zur Polizei die mir bezugnehmend auf die berlin.de mitteilte dass die Regel nicht für personen wie mich gelte da ich eine Impfung im Ausland erhalten habe also reicht auch der Impfpass aus. Erst dann ließ ein zweiter Nachtschichtmitarbeiter mich einchecken. Er war sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer ist sauber und schön eingerichtet. Großer Spiegel. Aber es gehört einfach zu einem 4 sterne hotel dazu, dass die Mitarbeiter sich mit den lokalmaßgeblichen Regelungen bekannt sind. Das muss ein Gast nicht erst mal zur Polizei.

I searched for a hotel with no carpets, given the much greater likelihood of proper hygiene in this year of the pox, and while the location of this one is not exactly anywhere that close to Alexanderplatz (as anyone can see by using Google Maps), it fit the bill perfectly. They take sanitation measures against the coronavirus very seriously. More than this, the rooms are bright, the beds very comfortable, the breakfast top-rate, and if you elect to not have your room cleaned daily (which I always do, for environmental reasons) you're rewarded with a free bar drink per day (wine, beer, or non-alcoholic). The hotel is in a quiet area (but that is probably true for most hotels in a generally quiet city) and well-served by public transport. The only issue for me in this regard is that I opted to take an Uber to and from Tegel airport since the primary connection is an airport bus - and buses are recognized as potential super-spreader modes of transport, so no, thanks. And that's 30 euro each way.... But back to the hotel - staff super friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended.

Looks “innocent” from the street but it’s amazing inside. Very spacious rooms with a balcony. Massive french windows, no carpet (thank God). Looks and feels very relaxing. Underground parking. Amazing breakfast- included with Expedia. Very nice park just across the street and very close to the centre. The balcony is facing a building site (at this moment- Summer 2020) so there will be something else built close by as well (it’s not a problem though, it’s amazingly quiet during the night). I will absolutely stay in the same hotel when I’ll be driving through Berlin. It’s saved on my “Berlin accommodation” list as it’s worth it.

On checkout when we went to pay they tried to make us pay in dollers then triwd to over charge us both the male and female on reception were rude to ourselves and other customers. I have been a fan of NH Hotels and use them for almost all my trips, but this time i was disappointed with the detail provided by the hotel of its location. I booked it because of the location alexanderplatz as its name is misleading. It is nowhere close to alexanderplatz and about 4 stops away from the square. Would be careful next time. Also they charged us 100 euros for a conference room for full day whoch was expensive with not even water included. Room didn't have the basic kettle and tea/coffee

I don’t often leave reviews but felt I had to as I found this hotel quite frustrating. When I checked in, I noticed that the hallway was very hot and stuffy. Likewise, the room was warm and uncomfortable. I couldn’t get the air con to work so contacted reception. I was told someone was take a look while I was out. The next day I had the same problem. I spoke to reception again and was told “it’s winter. We switch the air con off. Open the window” in quite a patronising tone. I already had the window but there was no draft. It was still 20c outside. Being a modern building, the airflow is minimal. Should I decide if I want the air con on? If it’s true - that ppl don’t need it - then they won’t use it. I’ve never encountered this before. It meant that we slept with the window wide open, meaning being woken up regularly by the church bells nearby.

Also, the drains stink - how could they not notice this? There’s no extractor fan in the bathroom either. Beds too soft. Likewise, pillows.

Lastly, no coffee making facilities.

All quite poor for 4*. I stay in Berlin a lot. This is off the beaten track in a bad way. Stay near torstrasse.

This is a modern style hotel, on the outskirts of the city centre. The rooms are functional rather than luxurious. The bathrooms only have shower which although long are very narrow, if i stood square my shoulders were squashed against the sides.
Breakfast was OK though they struggled to cope with the number of guests.

There is a big problem with this hotel: despite what the name suggests, it is not in Alexanderplatz, which is a 30 minute walk or a few tram stops away. I find the name of the hotel extremely misleading. It should be called NH Friedrichshain.

My other complaint with the hotel is that it is nearer to a 3 star rather than a 4 star. Think bedding, inoperative air conditioning, no coffee/tea in the room, toiletries not replenished during a 3-day stay.

On the positive side, the hotel is very clean and the rooms are a good size.

E' accettabile che in un hotel 4 stelle la camera venga riordinata e pulita ogni 4 notti, salvo specifica richiesta dell'ospite??
Magari lo avrei potuto accettare, peccato che non sia stato informato al momento del check-in quindi pensavo di trovarla rifatta il giorno seguente, come in ogni altro hotel.
E' anche una ovvia questione di igiene.

A 30 minutes d Alexanderplatz, je me demande pourquoi il s appelle NH Alexanderplatz. Dans une zone d habitation rien autour vous êtes isolé. Il faut marcher dans des zones pas très jolies. La chambre est correctement isolé (double porte ) mais malgré cela on attend les bruits dans le couloir surtout les fermetures des portes. Bon Matelat. Check in efficace bien que l hôtesse n était pas très souriante. Je choisirai la prochaine fois un autre hôtel vraiment proche d Alexander platz.
