Great hotel for quiet, peaceful sleeping. Will stay again and highly recommend it. Only one criticism, wish they would close the door next to the outside smoking bench so the 5 floor-high lobby doesn’t fill with cigarette smoke.

I have stayed here twice for vacation travel. Very nice hotel with large, clean rooms and comfortable furnishings. The complimentary breakfast was great and the location cannot be beat. The park across the street is great for morning exercise and evening strolls, train accessible, and it's just minutes to the busy hub of Alexanderplatz for shopping, sightseeing, dining and transportation.

It was a little distance away from Berlin's main attractions, but we were visiting family living there. We did not eat at the hotel, and the bar was closed on Sunday when we would have had a beer or cocktail, but we enjoyed several decent restaurants in the neighborhood. Shopping is also available with many small local shops, but of course, these are all closed on Sundays.

Where to start. Do not stay at this hotel. The pictures are very misperceptive. The lobby and common areas look so modern but once you enter the room; you realize that it needs immediate renovations. There are two separate old closets that take a lot of space in the room. In addition, the bed is split in half so basically twin beds attached to each other and are very uncomfortable. The room clean service was definitely not optimal nor did they achieved full cleaness. The worst part of it was at the bar area. The female bartender, whom had short blonde hair, was very rude to me and my girlfriend. She refused to give us ice when we asked for it when the night before the other bartender offered us. In addition, when we asked her to charge the room; she declined and said that there was no way she could do it. The night before, the other bartender gladly charged us our drinks to the room. She could of been nicer about the whole the situation and we would of not cared. Its her loss, for she was the only bartender we didn't tip. Room service was non-existent due to there \"short of staff\" status. overall very bad experience at this hotel.

This hotel was in a convenient location near trams and not too far from the Berlin Hbf. We were able to walk to the hotel from the tram. It is across the street from this lovely, huge park with many trees and fountains. So quaint! Church bells ring on the hour adding to the atmosphere. The hotel was very clean, the front desk was open 24 hours a day, the breakfast had many selections, and our room was great! Nice double size bed, comfortable mattress and comforters. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Not sure there is enough value for money

A little worn, but trying its best. Made the mistake of trying to visit Berlin during the Berlin Marathon weekend. For the rate I was paying, it did not meet up to my expectations. Nice folk at reception and no complaints about noise (felt like the only guest there). Still, I would have loved for a Bar that was open, a workout room and some of the other amenities I expect from a 4-star hotel.

Need to update the rooms

It was a bit disappointing because the pictures on their website are a bit deceiving. The bathroom was upgraded and clean but the rest of the room looked and felt very dusty and old. The sheets were clean however when we lifted the cushions on the couch, there were plastic wraps, crumbs and a bottle cap. There were 2 moths flying in the room as well. Their open buffet style breakfast was good. The staff was nice. And lastly, they have a very limited underground parking space that you may end up parking on the street.

This is a lovely hotel, it was our third trip. Unfortunately there are no longer facilities to make tea/coffee in your room, breakfast is expensive (we went to a cafe round the corner) & the bar rarely opened, which for a 4 star hotel is quite poor. It used to be so welcoming, relaxing with a beer after a day seeing the sights. The rooms are clean & comfortable though (ours had a great view of the Volkspark), staff are friendly & helpful & the chocolate santas left outside our room was a really lovely touch.

Most of the staff was not friendly. They often argued when we asked questions or made a request. We had to get a ticket every time we wanted to leave the hotel with our car. We also had to get inside more than three times because the parking garage said \"occupied\" even though we had reserved a parking spot for the duration of our stay. The cleaning personal was very friendly and thorough. The service staff at the desk and the bar was rude and not very helpful.

I love this place. The rooms are big and have a traditional, unique feel to them. It is posh without being expensive. The view of the park is beautiful, and the windows are soundproof if you need that. The location is my favorite thing - the Volkspark, multiple transit lines, the surrounding neighborhood.

If you want to check in at the allotted time of 3pm call and arrange this, we had to wait until 7pm which was the only bad thing I can say as we enjoyed our stay there once we got the room.

Cleanliness is very good at the property and the cleaning staff does a great job and friendly. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Same goes to the restaurant. Great calm location opposite to a big park.
No amenties provided. When I asked for a coffee maker they mentioned it will be charged 5EUR/day where other hotels provides it for free. I asked to cancel my breakfast for the last 3 days of the stay, well ahead, but it was also not possible. I stayed their around 14 days. Service can be improved.

There was no refrigerator or coffee maker in the room. There was no door security system. The door used an old fashion key that had to be locked from the inside. It would have been impossible to open the door from the inside in case of an emergency.

Located right next to Volkspark Friedrichshain, Victor's Residenz-Hotel Berlin is a luxurious, quiet, contemporary property. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. We were traveling at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak and become stranded in Berlin. The hotel stayed open, extending our stay, and provided every regular service for us without complaint and managed to provide a very comforting and normal \"home\" experience for us during a difficult time. We cannot wait to return!

The rooms I’m afraid do not match the downstairs. Tired and dated and in need of modernising. As are the bathrooms.

Victors Residenz Hotel is a modest hotel in a reasonably good location for visiting Berlin. Our first room was very noisy so we had to pay to upgrade to another away from the road. Also be sure to pre-register for breakfast or you will pay about $5 euro more and it is not worth the excess charge. Staff was friendly but did not seem to know much about the surrounding area. Internet wifi is also poor and did not work in our room.

The hotel is quite well located in the Prenzlauer Berg area - opposite the park. A good bus connection in front of te hotel. Room / bathroom is spacious but no air condition. Friendly welcome and departure (same Receptionist), the one in-between not quite so. Quite convenient for the centre of Berlin, opposite a great park. Really hot weather when we were there but no air-con in the bedroom, so we had to choose between melting overnight or having the window open and hearing the traffic from the busy road. No tea or coffee in the room. Hotel itself well presented, reasonable prices in the bar.

The room was huge (we could hardly see the TV from the bed) and with a view of the park. Good value. The bus and the tram were close by, as was Prenzlauer Berg by walking distance. But you had to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the cafés/bars. We had breakfast at the hotel one day, and it was nice. The bakery on the corner also had nice food and coffee for a cheaper breakfast option. Staff were friendly. All in all a very good stay. 5-10 minutes closer to the Käthe Kollwitzplatz-area would have been even better, but you can't have it all.

Victor's Residenz-Hotel is in a good location and the size of the suite (which was a junior suite I think) was really large - the size of a small apartment, which was great! However, the decor is very sad and needs an update. The carpet and upholstery is stained and needs replacing. It just did not fill me with joy to stay there.

This was my third visit so it is safe to say that I enjoy my time at this hotel. The staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the location is ideal. In addition the breakfast is amazing!
I believe that improvements could be made to increase internet speeds and that the rooms would be better off with air-conditioning as I was a little uncomfortable with the heat in the rooms.

Hotel was extremely clean on arrival and the staff were unbelievably professional in extreme 30 degree heat.
Due to the heat, we had to have the window to our room open every night. Our room looked out onto the main road so we were sadly kept up by traffic noise most nights. With the window closed the noise was barely noticeable but due to no air conditioning or fan we had to resort to sleepless nights.
Staff were impeccable and even went outside at 1am to ask some kids being noisy to keep it down for us. Very impressed with their professionalism.

Would recommend but perhaps not in the summer months due to heat issues we had.
Overall good experience apart from that!

Good hotel by Volkspark but room facilities a bit

The Hotel was well located facing the Volkspark. The public areas of the hotel were of a very high standard and the staff could not have been more helpful. The lifts were very efficient and the breakfast was a treat.

The only downside was that our room was very dated, I cannot remember the last time I stayed in a hotel of this class with a simple mixer shower and all the ‘ oh god I am freezing - oh god now I am being scalded’ that that brings. The sound insulation in the room was also poor so that the traffic noise from the road outside was clearly audible through the night, even with the blinds closed. However, despite this we had a very enjoyable weekend.

Room and bed were comfortable, locations is nice if you want a quieter area. There a nice big park just in front if you want to go for some relaxing time!

Breakfast is very good in terms of food quality. Also the breakfast room is very nice! A plus would be to have a bit more of variety every other day.

On the negative side, we tried the restaurant and were not satisfied, took too long and not well prepared (we got raw shrimps in our shrimp salad :-( ) We complained and there was not at least an apology for that. Service and price v.s value of the food is not good.

WiFi is OK, but on the slow side. They offer a premium WiFi for 12€ per 24h, I think this is too expensive, premium WiFi (or at least a bit faster) should be a free, standard service.

Do yourself a favor and give this hotel a try!

I really loved it. The hotel is very clean and located close enough to good public transit. The staff is amazing! They are welcoming and want to make you comfortable. I had only one minor problem with my room, and the staff was there in less than 10 minutes to make it right. The breakfast is amazing and the breakfast staff also wants to make sure you have everything needed. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Berlin!

We had a great stay in Berlin enhanced by our staying at Victor's. Everyone was very helpful and sincere.
The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of dishes. Enjoyed the coffee, the pastries and the bread.
It is convenient for Alexanderplatz, is near the 200 bus stop which takes you all the way across to the Zoo and the hotel can provide day tickets for the public transport system.
My only possible gripe (definitely not a big one!) was the strength of the WiFi, which at times was non-existent.

Honestly one of the best hotels I have had the pleasure to stay in! Breakfast is very good! The staff are lovely and the rooms are very nice! The location is however what sells it to me!! Situated just a walk away from Alexander Platz and next to a lovely park this hotel has so much to offer at such a small price! The bus 200 which is right outside takes you to every landmark you would want to see and is very regular! I’m so pleased me and my boyfriend chose to stay here instead of right in the middle of Alexander Platz!

I agonised for ages about whether to book this hotel, because I thought something more central would make it easier to get around the city. I'm grateful that I finally took the plunge with this hotel though! Although not very central, the city centre is easily accessed by either the 200 bus (which stops right outside the hotel) or the M4 tram a few minutes' walk to the end of the road, both of which run frequently throughout the week. The hotel itself was extremely inviting and comfortable, and the staff were all ever so pleasant and welcoming. There was ample choice of fresh hot and cold items at the breakfast buffet, and the evening meals were tasty as well. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone (particularly as it is dog friendly as well!).

Not bad location, not bad hotel

This hotel was really not bad. The breakfast was good and it’s only two tram stops from alexanderplatz. One thing I was annoyed with though is how you don’t get WiFi in your rooms. I’m pretty sure we were told we would and when I complained they said it was normal. Also, it seems kinda silly that the front desk charges you for a bottle of water. It seems like something they could just throw in there for good hospitality. I was caught off card when they asked me to reach into my wallet.

The hotel is lovely, very warm and cosy room. Excellent breakfast and good value dinners too. Staff on reception were very helpful about getting around the city.

Awesome hotel

Perfect for Berlin Mitte, the bus stops right in front of the hotel. There is an amazing park right across the street. The staff was wonderful, and every meal we had there was great.
The room was perfect. There was even a little kitchen. The bathroom was big and modern, with a nice shower , a hairdryer and soaps etc provided by the hotel. I recommend the hotel to anybody looking for comfort, convenience and good service

Hard bed, flat pillow and no kettle.

Spent 3 nights here and my experience was not the best. On the 1st night we had a room overlooking the road and I found the noise of the traffic pretty bad. I am not saying it was F1 level of noise but when you are not used to it, it can seriously disturb your sleep. The fact that the mattress was like a concrete block didn't help much either. Not a wink of sleep the 1st night. The helpful receptionist managed to get us moved to the other side of the hotel and to get mattress toppers fitted to our bed so that did improve our sleep for the next 2 nights. There was no kettle in our room and when we asked about it we were told only suite's have kettles. I have stayed in lots of hotels all over the world and that is the 1st time I have encountered this, very strange. the staff in the breakfast room were pleasant and efficient although it was busy every morning we were there.

Nice hotel close to public transport

We enjoyed our stay at Victor’s, we stayed in a suite with a balcony. This was an added bonus we did not expect.

Public transport is close by with a bus stop out side hotel and tram stop around corner.

Breakfast was plentiful if somewhat the same every day. Restaurant food was fine although would say lighting was not good, very dark at some tables,

Overall would recommend booking this hotel. We would certainly go back if we were to return to Berlin.

Found hotel easy to access and even thought not in the centre of town, easy 10 mins bus trip and stop just outside door of hotel .. Staff extremely friendly and helpful

Good location, but dated and 2 star plus at best.

Hotel is very dated and in need of an overhaul. The room was very basic and had no fridge or coffee/tea making facilities. The carpet extended on to the wall to form a skirting board and looked in need of a deep clean. On the plus side the room was warm and offered good views over the park opposite. The breakfast was very good and offered a good variety of hot and cold food.
