Staff was honestly amazing, kitchen staff was also amazing and so friendly. Bat had some great food and drinks and we were honestly surprised as most places that offer food really lacks in quality. Room was clean bathroom wasn’t as clean as the room there were toothpaste residue on faucet and mirror was still dirty. No face towels and really the bed was the main thing we didn’t like. It was like sleeping on a brick as hard as it was lol but location was great too!

Clean and spacious rooms, though the lighting could be improved — our room felt a bit too dark, not sure if that is intentional or that it is the style of the building. The facility is great and has a welcoming atmosphere. Food at the bar was delicious. It’s within walking distance of most places, about 15 minutes from the central hub, but we didn’t find that inconvenient.

Booked 2 twin rooms and requested 2 single beds in both, one twin and one double, the hotel said they could not move us and offered no solution. Air conditioning did not work after letting the hotel know nothing was done about it.

The only thing I would say they need to change is soundproofing the rooms a little bit because they have great fire doors but they slam all morning long starting at like 5:00 in the morning so bring some earplugs or some headphones so that you don't wake up due to all that noise

Stick the wallpaper back on the wall & remove the blue tack. If you’re going to use as a hotel and student digs, give the room a quick lick of paint. Nice vibe in the foyer, most of the friendly. Rooms are quiet, bed was comfy.

Such a lovely room and hotel. So many amenities downstairs in the lobby like gym, games, laundry area. The staff were so nice as well and it's such a bonus that we can leave our bags there for free. Bed and pillow were very cozy. Recommend.

This was the perfect location, Alexanderplatz has so much to offer and so close to bus and trains to get about Berlin. We loved the vibe of the hotel, it was colourful, all the staff were friendly, so helpful and welcoming. The room was ideal for what we needed with option of using the gym and garden area with a great bar.

The vibe is really great. Very friendly/helpful staff. Great modern concept and welcoming. The only issue was the dust. Walking in the hallways you can see the dust cascade around the lights. It wasn’t until my second night that I noticed the alarming amount of dust in my room, on my bed and on the surfaces. Since it was my last night and my allergies weren’t bothering me, I just stayed. If it weren’t for the dust, I’d give this place a 10/10. But I give it 8/10.

Surprised how nice and well appointed our room was as our son is living in another area of the hotel for 4 months as a study abroad student. Was expecting to be more dorm like, and it does have that feel a bit in decor, room and lobby which is very modern, concrete, minimalist. But has a nice bar, excellent drinks, everything you need and the room was clean and comfortable with a small kitchenette area, microwave, mini-fridge, large modern bathroom. Better than many upscale hotels we’ve stayed at!!

I would especially recommend this property to travellers who enjoy a bit of activity around them and like to socialise / making the most of Berlin nightlife. The location is perfect for all the best music locations in Berlin.
It is a younger crowd as there are also students living there.
This hotel was perfect for my needs and I would come back! Shout out to the incredible staff.

This property was perfect for my needs. The staff were really personable and always willing to help with any questions or requests.
I’d especially recommend this property to younger travellers (or young at heart) who don’t mind a bit of activity around them and want to socialise with the space around them.
If you want a really conservative and silent property this might not be the spot for you, but if you are out and about making the most of Berlin nightlife it is perfect.

Very welcoming environment! Walkable distance from Alexanderplatz. We love the bar and lobby area. It is a fancy student-dorm with a small room and a desk. My husband and I learned we want to stay at a hotel and pay $10-$20 more per night, that has a complimentary coffee in room. But the area and the stay was fine. Free luggage storage was great and a 24/7 reception and beverages available for purchase.

Could even get yr hair cut. Every night there was an activity. Big screen in courtyard provided football watching access. Room size great. Wifi good.

The staff were lovely but I advised them that my bedside lamp wasn't working and nothing was done about it. As the facilities were quite basic, every little thing was important and not having a bedside lamp was quite inconvenient.

The hotel hosted a huge two day hip hop festal. Hordes of attendees crowded the lobby bar/restaurant and loud music blasted from the courtyard all night. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. The hotel should have notified upcoming guests this would be happening and allowed them to cancel. I will never stay here again.

From this location I was able to easily navigate Berlin. The staff were also friendly, and helpful. However, my room had several issues that weren't resolved during the stay. The lights would not turn fully off, the desk lamp had no light bulb, the phone to reception didn't work, and the toilet would not flush. They attempted to resolve the issues, but they recurred. The staff did try their best, and I was given a few free drinks for the inconvenience. But at over 100 Euro a night, I at least expect to flush the toilet and control the lights.

My only complaint is that with being eco friendly there wasn't a way to make the room cold enough to be comfortable sleeping. I was sweating throughout all 3 nights of my stay. If the weather is hot outside the eco hotel conditioning system doesn't suffice. On a positive note it was a clean and fun environment!

Thought this was a pretty good hotel. Sound was never an issue. The room is nice sized. As others mentioned, the bed is pretty firm and can feel unforgiving. I also think the lights give off heat and I cracked the window in my room the whole time as it felt quite warm. Couldn't adjust temperature otherwise. Everyone was friendly that worked there. I am older but never felt too out of place. Liked the location and it felt safe as a woman traveling alone walking to it and taking public transport nearby.

Fun and functional hotel

Chose the Social Hub for a business trip where I'd be working at a site nearby, and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is super cute and stylish, with lots of fun design elements and tons of convenient shared amenities including:
- A great bar and restaurant that opened early in the AM and stayed open late, with lots of seating and plenty of healthy and more indulgent food options to choose from (fries were really good!).
- Lots of shared workspaces with plugs and easily accessible wi-fi, including a quiet work area that was so handy during my busy trip.
- Communal laundry area that could be booked and run via an easy-to-use app.

My guest room was a decent size with a patio that I so appreciated (it's really nice to be able to get some fresh air in your hotel room), plenty of plugs in convenient places, and a good amount of storage space. Bed could have been a little comfier and I would have loved more water pressure in the shower-- but overall this made a great base for a busy few days of business in Berlin.

It was hard for me to reach the reception and when I did, nothing was done for the most part so I had to go downstairs. my AC was spotty and the tv on the first night wasn't working, some amenities were missing that I had to keep asking for. wasn't aware that the boxed waters were only for the first night, the least they could do is offer more for the technical difficulties in my room. couldn't access the kitchen the next two nights I've stayed. convenient location to the S/U bahn and a mall with a supermarket.

I stay at Social hub in other countries before, but this time it’s disappointing. The air-con seems not working. We have to open the windows all the time, but it’s quite noisy outside and mosquitoes kept on flying in. Also the lighting is very poor. We literally have to use the flash light on our phone to look for anything in the room.

Excellent staff! My room had an issue with the AC. Due to a heat/cold sensitive medical disability, they moved my room. The rooms are well cleaned and cared for. If you like a softer bed, I recommend asking them for a bed pad. They’re very accommodating. Friendly and helpful people. It’s close to Alexanderplatz for transportation. Restaurants in the local area and in the hotel. Breakfast was totally worth it. A good selection. Thirsty: good selection of drinks at their service desk.

Suggestions: mini refrigerators in your rooms and water for a new guest.

The property and the location is great. Walking distance (20-30 mins) to the Museums, if you like walking. It is also very close to Alexanderplatz. There's also a shopping mall just 2 mins walk away. The closes station is Jannowithzbrücke.

The staff are very helpful. There are activity scheduled through out the month if you want to participate.

The hotel is set up in a way that you can get access to things pretty easily. Easy access to the small gym, small but sufficient. There are also plenty of common area for you to go to for you don't want to stay in your room. They even have two booths at the Cafe/Bar area where you can take phone calls. I also like the 24/7 self-service laundry and it is free.

The internet connection was great, I had to do quite a lot of zoom meetings during my stay and I have no problem with that.

There's no lack of social elements in the hotel. Especially Friday and Saturday nights, it could be a bit loud but once you shut the balcony door, you won't hear a thing.

First class in every way

My husband and I stayed here for one night and just wish it was longer. Everything about this accommodation was first class. It is so nice to be greeted by friendly staff who go the extra mile to help. I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Berlin. Don’t be put off by the lively description. We are middle aged and didn’t find any issues re noise etc. can’t wait to return!

Style over substance

Social Hub was bright and “hip”, but felt a little bit like “style over substance” for a hotel. At times, it felt more as though staff saw you as students who lived there, rather than paying guests… service at breakfast was very poor. Basic items like mugs and cups had to be asked for, and waited on! Staff didn’t seem very concerned about guest experience or satisfaction.

Location wise A+, right next to everything a traveler needs. Remember, this is not a luxury hotel, but all the basics are covered. Perfect for our family with 2 teenage boys. Staff were excellent. Not the traditional style of hotel if that's what you're looking for, the name says it all. There was often noise in the courtyard but closing the windows kept the room pretty soundproof.

Room was nice and clean with pretty excellent WiFi and a good bathroom. Staff were great, and everyone who I needed to talk to spoke English. Location is alright - centrally located and very close to a train station if you're going to be getting around Berlin by train (which I recommend) though the view isn't the greatest (which can't be helped). Hotel was a little loud some nights, but not enough to be disruptive. I can recommend this hotel to any English speakers looking for somewhere to stay, if they don't mind a little unconventional style, albeit with all the conventional amenities.

The social hub is well placed for travelling to explore Berlin. Unfortunately, of the 4 nights we were there a fire alarm went of 3 nights. Additionally, after my partner fell unwell, the hotel staff refused to offer more towels or bedding. The hotel bar seemed to close whenever it felt like as we attended at 9:30 and they told me that they were no longer serving drinks despite the fact that the bar didn’t close until 11pm. Overall, I would not recommend the social hub.

The hotel is very centrally located. Only about 5 minutes to Alexanderplatz and right next door a subway station and S-Bahn. The staff is friendly and you can do everything electronically with check in and check out. Only you will not be informed about basic things by the staff such as times of check-out or how to use the card at the entrance door or at the lift or for the rest of the things the hotel offers. It has a modern design and has a courtyard outside and otherwise enough space to sit in the lobby. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The bathroom is separate from the rest of the room, which I personally like. In the bathroom it is a bit stupid planned with the shower it all gets wet. The flushing of the toilet does not really work well and it has no hygienic bags. The suitcases can be left at the hotel before departure or in case of early arrival. All in all it is a good stay but not for longer holidays.

The staff is friendly but we couldn't have an extra pillow, so I can't say I am very satisfied, also there weren't amenities like a soap small things that make all the difference. The hotel is in a good location, it was very easy to find a scooter, and the hotel rents bikes which can be very helpful. The breakfast is good and convenient especially if you don't have many days in the city.

The space is basic, but very convenient. You have use of a shared kitchen - which would be great if it wasn’t so filthy. Currently I would say it is overpriced for what it is. You can stay in much nicer hotels up the street for the same price of less.

Great Stay

24 hr check in was great as my flight was very delayed. Hot water always hot and room was clean and comfortable. A mini fridge and safe would be a great additions
