Reflecting our hip location in the heart of Berlin's Mitte district, the newly renovated art'otel berlin mitte is a stone's throw from the city's most notorious landmarks, including Alexanderplatz with its TV Tower and red town hall, Gendarmenmarkt, Friedrichstrasse and the lively Hackescher Markt. Take a stroll and you'll discover historic icons such as the Brandenburg Gate and the city's old town with its St.

Nicholas quarter, before exploring famous museums on the Museumsinsel. Or if you prefer to get close to nature, the Tiergarten is the city's largest public park and can be reached in a matter of minutes using the subway outside the hotel.

We spent 3 days at the hotel and couldn't fault a thing. Arrived early morning not expecting to check in but they were happy to accommodate us and even upgraded us. It was my partners birthday and they sent cakes, gift & complimentary drinks to the family room. This was very unexpected but a very welcome and kind gesture.

Everything was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of hot and cold options. The gym and sauna were clean and well maintained. Location was quiet but a short stroll to museum idland and Alexanderplatz

Room overall was good. The bathroom light starting flicking. When we told the staff they said it was the light circuit but did nothing to actually fix it. The ac unit made a terrible noise almost every night that made it difficult to sleep.

The area itself was fantastic and felt safe. Housekeeping came everyday to provide new towels and made the bed.

Great stay

Second stay at Berlin art’otel Mitte. Rooms quiet and large, air con for summer weather and nice bathrooms. Breakfast decent with some a la carte options too. Location is the main selling point for this hotel, however - minutes walk to museum island and a ubahn outside for everything else.

It was a lovely hotel with very helpful staff. The room was comfortable and quiet and the public spaces in particular decorated in a creative way. It’s a very quiet area though and there isn’t immediately much to choose from by way of eateries in the evening - we did find good places but there’s no obvious buzz on the doorstep (which will be good for some!). If you’re happy with walking or public transport this place provides a calm base for seeing the city.

Staff in breakfast area and check in are very friendly, professional, and hard working. Really enjoyed staying here! The only negative is there was no way to stream from phone to tv like other hotels and none of the channels are in English except Bayern 3 radio.

We had a wonderful time in Berlin and the hotel was perfect for us. The beds were really comfortable and the rooms was clean. The staff who checked us in and every morning at breakfast were so friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere. It was 1 min from a tube stop and easy walking distance to Alexander Platz.

Super friendly staff, conveniently located, very comfortable beds and beautifully decorated hotel! I would stay here again on the next visit to Berlin! It was a little noisy facing the courtyard with birds chirping at all hours and some street noise that was picked up. But overall, a very pleasant stay!

What we liked about our stay was we had a quiet room in the middle looking out to a court yard. The back door of the building came out on to a road beside a canal and there was a pleasant walk over the bridge into a small park area. You might easily miss this as the main door has a bus terminus and an underground on the street making it easy to get anywhere. We made use of the 3 Zone transport pass which gave us travel from the airport by train and use of all the busses and underground. 52€ for 7 day.

Nice walks along river and to Brandenburg Gate and museums nearby.

We booked a four night stay in Berlin using Tesco vouchers - it was fantastic value.
The hotel was lovely and very convenient.

We arrived on my birthday, so staff had decorated my bed and left chocolates and little cakes. It made my day extra special.

Valentine get away weekend

Stayed for 3 nights. We requested a double room- unfortunately it was 2 twins that couldn’t be pushed together and they had no other rooms. It was Valentine’s Day so that was slightly disappointing. The bartender that night was very nice. My husband said on the 3 night though the bartender said some questionable things for someone in hospitality. They were responsive when he brought it up. Beds were comfortable and clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel was in a good location with easy access to the subway. We walked most places though. We’d stay again.

A wonderful hotel. The art suite is very spacious and a very large bed. Room was perfect and lovely having access to the terrace also. Breakfast was fantastic, a great range of items. Staff were friendly however we asked for extra coffee and were told it would be brought to the room but this did not happen - not really a big issue though, and we would stay here again.

Overall, a great place to stay. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-located, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay.

However, one small drawback is that the TV is not a smart TV, which might be inconvenient if you’re used to streaming services. If that’s important to you, be sure to bring your own streaming device or plan accordingly.

A good value. My Berlin friend says this location isn’t really what ppl consider Mitte but it was really convenient and the subway is close by. The rooms are perfectly fine and the breakfast’s very good. The bar area is good although the seats aren’t that comfortable. All the staff members were very nice and it was a good experience. Are some cute little coffee shops to the left on both sides of the street as you leave the hotel but didn’t have time to stop in them. Area right around hotel is pretty uninspiring but I didn’t really care.

Great location across the street from the Märkisches Museum U-bahn station and just a couple of blocks from Spittelmarkt, where there’s a really good little Vietnamese restaurant. We loved that they provided turn-down service by preparing the pull-out couch for our child while we were out sightseeing. The room was a good size and we had a nice view of the cityscape from our top floor perch. Staff were efficient and courteous. My only recommendation would be to discontinue the use of heavy perfumes in the reception area. Some guests are fragrance sensitive and for me that was the only disconcerting aspect to our stay.

Amazing hotel, the staff were all lovely, from the ladies on the desk to the housekeepers that looked after the rooms. Our room was spotless and we were given free goodies in exchange for not having our room made up every day, an idea that I thought was brilliant!
