Ma and pa type hotel. Didn't like the limited soap and greyish towels. Extremely slow internet and very very poor pillows. They need to spend a little more on inventory to make their guests give more stars and satisfaction.

I had a very nice stay. Enjoyed drinking my daily tea from the in-room kettle and watching the fast-paced area. The window view made me feel like a local. Also the cafe next door is excellent and the area fantastic for walking. Will consider booking again.

Quite a good hotel. People were friendly and the room was clean. I still think that 8 euros for breakfast in Berlin is too much, but I guess we are paying to have many options of what to eat in breakfast instead of what you actually eat.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a basic hotel, but don't want to compromise on a clean and pleasant environment. My room was fairly small, but all of the furnishings and fixtures seemed to be fairly new and everything was very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast (8 Euros) was good quality and had a nice range of options. There are some nice shops and restaurants in the area, esp. on some of the side streets off of Greifswalder Strasse. I particularly enjoyed Duc Anh Vietnamese Street Food, which is just around the corner.
There are two street car stops close by, one right by the hotel and one just a few blocks up the street. One street car takes you to Alexanderplatz in just a few minutes and from there there are connections to several U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines. The other street car goes over to Warschauer Str. with connections to the S-Bahn and the U-Bahn line 1. The street cars run frequently, so it's easy to get where you want to go in the city. It's not quite as convenient as being close to an U-Bahn or S-Bahn station, but it was pretty good.

This is my second time staying at this property. The location/price are very good, however, the single room size is very small. If you're a solo traveler expecting a nice relaxing stay in your room, you might feel a little claustrophobic. I was usually out of the room and just wanted a place to sleep, so I was alright with the room size.
Having said that, the staff is great and very accommodating. There is even a book with useful information regarding stuff such as transportation, laundry services, travel zones, and so on.
The location is also very good. It's a few stops away from Alexanderplatz, but even then, there is so much to do in the area surrounding it!

Enjoyable stay, the hotel is very close to major sightseeing, and about 15-20 min walk from the heart of Berlin. Only problem I had was with the wifi - the service was spotty and unreliable. Everything else was top notch.

Pretty basic, not great location
The hotel is located on a main road, a few tram stops out from Alexander Platz, so not reallly in the heart of Berlin and a somewhat grotty area. We didn't really get the Feng Shui sensation. The room was too small and not very well laid out. Breakfast was OK but nothing special, but there are a couple of nice cosy cafes just around the corner. Also a decent Italian restaurant across the road. The hotel staff were very friendly but lacked dynamism.

This hotel is totally spotless, which I really appreciated. I arrived late to the hotel from London and easily found my key and a welcome letter in a special box outside the hotel. This seems to be very common practice in Berlin. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz but there was a tram stop right outside which took you straight there and onto the great area of Hackescher Markt. My only recommendation would be to request a room that doesn't face onto Greifswalder Strasse. It's a large busy road and the traffic noise disturbed me, particularly during the week nights.

A great experience for a solo traveler! The staff was friendly and efficient, and the room was lovely, well furnished and not at all cramped despite it being a 1-person room. I appreciated there being a kettle since i was too cheap to pay (very little) extra for breakfast. However there was some dust on the \"kitchenette tray\" and utensils, and the used mug wasnt replaced with a clean one during room cleaning, which i was a tiny bit disappointed by. The walls were also quite thin - i was woken up by my upstairs neighbour's snoring and toilet use... but there were earplugs in the hotel room so i didnt mind, though i think that guy was in need of some medical attention. These are the only things i found could be improved upon, otherwise my stay was perfect and I'll be sure to come back the next time im in berlin.

Ich habe immer wieder Seminare im nahegelegenen forumc13 und komme daher alle paar Monate in das Melarose Hotel. Sauber, hübsche Zimmer, wobei ich von Feng Shui eher wenig merke, kleines praktisches Badezimmer mit Dusche, kleines aber gutes Frühstücksbüffet. Durch die Lage an der Greifswalder Steasse hört man etwas Strassenlärm, was mich nicht stört. Bei keinem Aufenthalt Gabs irgendwas Negatives! Gerne immer wieder!

Rent och enkelt hotell , prisvärt för ca 55-70 euro per natt (jag hade special erbjudande). Hade fönster mot innegården och stördes inte av den trafikerade vägen utanför hotellet. Ingen AC så att hålla fönstret öppet var nödvändigt. Obekväm säng (hård) och alldeles för mjuk/stor kudde.

Una atención espectacular, decentes, amables en la recepción, hubicacion inmejorable, a 10 min de Alexaderplatz, tienes bus, metro y tranvia, excelente desayuno, excelente habitación (solo que no tiene aire acondicionado, pero igual no es tan caluroso en verano), muy limpio, las instalaciones tienen buena tecnologia y estan en excelente estado. 100% recomendado.

Absolut winzige Besenkammer, ein kleines, altes Bett mit durchgelegener Federmatratze, unangenehmer Geruch, alt und muffig. Farbe abgescheuert, Bad seit Jahren nicht mehr renoviert, alte 80er Jahre Sperrmüll 0815 Möbel, was daran eine Wohlfühloase sein soll, zu 113 Euro fur zwei Nächte, ich weiss das nicht. Jedes 30 Euro Hostel hat mehr Preisleistung. Grauenhaftes Erlebnis. Nie wieder auch nicht zu empfehlen, zumindest nicht, wenn man als Single in ein derartiges \"Einzelzimmer\" in Form einer Rumpelkammer geparkt wird. Das war echt unschön.

Ett prisvärt hotell som var litet och familjärt. Feng Shui på riktigt, med många små detaljer. Tyst och lugnt inne på hotellet. Beroende på hur känslig man är och placeringen av rummet, kan man höra biltrafik och spårvagnen. Bokar jag gärna igen.

Mukava hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla! Oli oikein passeli kaikin puolin yksin matkustavalle. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja hotelli viihtyisä. Alexander platzille käveli vain n. 1,5km suoraa tietä, eikä julkisilla tarvinnut siihen suuntaan liikkua laisinkaan. Hotellin vieressä oli muutama kivaa ravintolaa ja Lidl, josta sai pientä evästä ostettua. Ehdottomasti tulen uudelleen!

Diesmal hatte ich ein Zimmer zum Hof, damit war der Straßenlärm deutlich abgeschwächt, der ist bei den vorderen Zimmern schon deutlich, natürlich vor allem bei offenem Fenster - was mich nicht stört.
Ich komme in dieses Hotel wegen der Nähe zu meiner Seminar-Location, werde es aber auch für eine andere berufliche Reise nach Berlin buchen, auch wegen der Straßenbahn fast vor der Türe, mit der man in ein paar Minuten am Hackeschen Markt und damit bei der Museums-Insel usw. ist.

Ich komme in dieses Hotel wegen der Nähe zu meiner Seminar-Location, werde es aber auch für eine andere berufliche Reise nach Berlin buchen, auch wegen der Straßenbahn fast vor der Türe, mit der man in ein paar Minuten am Hackeschen Markt und damit bei der Museums-Insel usw. ist.

Für ein, zwei Tage ohne viel Gepäck ok
Das gebuchte Zimmer ist so winzig (zum Innenhof, weil ich um \"ruhiges Zimmer\" gebeten hatte), dass ich meinen Koffer nicht komplett aufklappen konnte. Statt eines Schrankes gibt es eine Art Regal mit drei offenen Fächern und zwei Bügeln, und das Bett ist höchstens 1,00 x 2,00 m groß. Aus der Toilette kam ein fauliger Geruch. Das andere Zimmer, um das ich daraufhin bat, war ein Doppelzimmer, daher deutlich größer, aber wiederum kein Schrank, sondern ein - etwas größes - Regal. Da ich 7 Tage beruflich in Berlin war und entsprechend ein paar mehr Kleidungsstücke dabie hatte, nervte der fehlende Schrank und mangelnde Platz im Regal sehr. Das Bad war ok, aber leider ohne Heizung. Der Tipp eines Mitarbeiters: Lassen Sie doch die Tür offen, dann heizt die Zimmerheizung das Bad mit ... An einem Morgen war der Strom ausgefallen, offenbar ein bekanntes Phänomen. Schließlich: So hellhörig, dass ich das Räuspern meines Zimmernachbarn hörte. Feng Shui Hotel hatte ich mir ganz anders vorgestellt. Ansonsten: Hauptverkehrsstraße, daher Fenster öffnen nur kurz möglich. Für den Preis absolut nicht zu empfehlen.
