This hostel has become my go to place to stay when I visit the Archenhold Observatory or need to get to the airport early.

The Wall museum nearby was a great place to visit and the Warschauer Straße train stations are a short walk away.

Also there is a choice of low priced restaurants and street food close by. I can’t resist having the Chinese Crispy Roast duck for 9.90€x

The place was nice and clean, and good for a one night stay. The bunk beds need updating, I'm 5\"2 and kept bumping my head! The showers need updating because I had to press the tap every 5 seconds. Also, if you're not washing your hair then tough, it's going to get wet anyway.

Not that great honestly, but cant even complain that much since price is OK. Biggest downside is that if you get room next to the street you will not sleep. Quite loud location, trains, people drunk yelling. If you come to Berlin to party then perfect place, location isnt that safe, a lot of homeless people around. But overall ok for the price. Its clean and kitchen is quite good. Staff have that typical German cold \"hospitality\". For next maybe would consider different part of Berlin. For first time being here its 3/5

This is a hostel, but I stayed solo in one of their hotel rooms. Furniture has seen better days, mattress is painful, sockets scarce, there’s no safe, and the only guy at the reception has the attitude of Parisian model working at Christie’s or Cartier’s. You may think that prices are lower. Wrong! Average price as many of the hotels in the are, which offer much better services and amenities. If you can, avoid this “hotel”.

Nice place for a great price

Quite nice hostel. Super close to the public transport and everything is easily reachable. It was clean and comfortable. Room was spacious and equipped with chairs and table. Stayed in a mixed room and everything was alright. Some guests were quiet disrespectful by being really loud after hours. People at the reception could be nicer. Perfect place to stay if you are attending an event nearby (Verti Music Hall or Mercedes Benz Arena) literally 7 minutes away by walk. Shopping centre and East Side Gallery is in the area.
The only minus is no sockets near the bed.

Big kitchen with everything needed.
Great local area with lots of food places, coffee shops, nightlife and the east side gallery about a minute away.

The bad: Don't book last minute as they may make u check out/in multiple times which is annoying. Also not the best hostel for people seeking absolute quiet its quite busy and in a very busy area.

The good: Where to begin? Is around the corner from the Wall Museum in East Gallery and in front of Tram/U+SBahn Warschauer Str. Which connects basically anywhere. Shops, restaurants and mini markets plague the area 24h so is impossible not to get something to ea or drink. Is probably one of the cleanest hostels I've been, and lastly rooms are very spacious. Overall I reccomend even though is a little far from city center walking but with SBahn you're in Reichstag in 15min.

Absolute WORST Hostel I've Stayed In. Not Worth.

Despite the fact it was close to the East Side Gallery, I didn't like the location. Hated the incessant noise of the trains right across the street. The smell of cigarettes (which I abhor) is strong throughout the whole building. Hated that the bathrooms are separate from the showers. Hated that the showers shut off every 5 seconds so you have to keep annoyingly pushing the faucet - definitely hard to get in a good shower. WiFi is VERY spotty. It was hard to get on the web sometimes. WARNING: you need to rent bed sheets if you don't have any. Sucks. Might as well just sleep on the raw bed. Didn't like the overall atmosphere. Could've been cheaper for what this place is worth. There is this one sink and mirror in a corner...like what is the point of that? Might as well just go into the bathrooms or shower rooms to brush your teeth/wash your hands. Never staying here again if I'm ever in Berlin. Absolute WORST hostel I've ever stayed in.This hostel has degraded my experience in Berlin.

The place is located close to many bars and night clubs. But you have to use the transportation system to go to museum island. There are lots of immigrants and poor people in the area which was odd for me, but they don't hurt others.

Nice but they charge for extras

This hostel is in an ideal location across the street from the train station in friedrichschain. The facilities were very nice, but they charge for everything. Wifi is free i the lobby, but there's a charge for the room. There's no soap in the bathrooms or toilets. Extra charge for linen. But overall it was a nice stay.

I was very surprised by this hostel. This was the first time in a hostel for me and i was some what anxious. Firstly all the staff spoke very good English, this is not normally a priority for me but it was nice to be able to fully unwind at the hostel after a long day of broken German and numerous hand gestures and mime. The rooms where very tidy clean and fresh looking, the furniture was well kept and generally throughout, the hostel was modern. Many things are available to borrow for the desk at a small surcharge or deposit which is handy when traveling light! The toilets are clean and the shower rooms are large an never full so there was no waiting to wash! I didn't use the kitchen much but i had a look and it was well stocked with appliances and had a large table where many can sit and eat. The hostel is in a great location, just 100meters to the train station and 100 meters again in the opposite direction to the east side gallery. There are also many places to eat locally, and even only 20 minutes walk to Alexandaplatz (where there are many MANY things to see and do!) My stay was extremely pleasant and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hostel to anyone. One thing i would like to make people aware of is that the generally customer at this hostel is quite young (16-25) and therefore has times when it can be quite noisy after a night out, the train also passed the hostel and can be heard at night, however if you take some ear plugs you will have no troubles!

Well located modern budget hotel/hostel

This hotel/hostel is in a great location opposite a train station and well located to explore the east side of Berlin with its alternative lifestyles and interesting independent street culture and boutiques. As a modern hotel/hostel it is clean and spacious. As it is a hostel you should expect it to be bustling with young people and groups but the large warehouse style lobby is a great place to relax and meet people and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed at the hostel in late July 2013. This was my first stay in a hostel and it was a pretty good one! The rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean! The hostel is also conveniently located close to remnants of the Berlin Wall! The staff is very helpful and friendly! Be sure to bring your own towel! It was an overall good stay!

Great hostel for travellers.

Stayed for 3 nights (Monday 29th July - Thursday 1st August) and the hostel was brilliant! Right next to the metro, bus stops, and both S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations. Within walking distance of tourist attractions such as East Side Gallery and good nightlife such as Suicide Circus and Watergate. Also on the same road is a big supermarket which is open 24 hours (I think! - we went during the day and at 3am and it was still open). The staff were always friendly and helpful and the rooms, showers and toilets were always clean, there were also plenty of shared showers and toilets on each floor - I didn't have to wait at all. They charge extra for WiFi in your room but the lobby and bar area has free WiFi. The kitchen had a lot of space and utensils to use.

It's a great location right by public transport and the rooms are a good size with lockers to keep the important things safe, but there are no fans, no air conditioning and the windows do not open enough to get a breeze. Stale, hot, humid air for the air.

Great for travelling on a budget

If you just want somewhere to rest your head this place is ideal. It's not ideal for families as amenities are limited, it is geared towards the back packer on a tight budget. Just remember to bring a towel and a pad lock.

nice location with s-bahn, ubahn and tram right next to the hostel. And walking to the east gallery will just spend you 1 minute. one problem is there isnt any good place to eat on the street, you needa walk 10mins for something good to eat. in addition, i got a free upgrade for a dorm with a private toilet in it! cool!

Suited best for younger people, since it can get quite noisy on a friday night - not that I complain.:)

The bartender, the blonde guy, was one of those people who made our trip great ! Also I am not to forget to mention the lovely receptionist girls :)

This is a hostel, so even when having your own room, you need to think of the standard as being a hostel and not a hotel. The room was spacious, the two beds were decent enough, though narrow, 90cm, and the bed linnen were very low quality, as were the towels provided.

Der Industriepalast ist sowohl Hostel als auch Low Budget Hotel.
Als solches ist er ideal gelegen zwischen Kreuzberg und Friedrichshain - direkt am Verkehrsknotenpunkt Warschauer Straße mit S-Bahn, U-Bahn und Straßenbahn.
In jede Richtung gibt es hier Berliner Subkultur, aber man ist auch schnell in den großen Zentren der Stadt.

Groß, sauber, aber leider laut

Das Einzelzimmer mit eigenem Bad hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Es ist schön groß und endlich mal ein Zimmer, in dem man sich nicht überall rückwärts einparken muss. Bett, Bad und der Rest waren sehr sauber. Für eine oder mehrere Nächte auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen. Leider ist das restliche Publikum sehr jung und dadurch war es viel zu laut. Auf jeden Fall Ohropax mitnehmen, denn die halbe Nacht sind über mir Teenies rumgerannt. Ansonsten habe ich von der Straße oder der Umgebung nichts gehört.

Rigtig fint sted til prisen - det er overskueligt at gå ind til centrum og ellers tager det kun 2 min, så står man på stationen. Sødt og hjælpsomt personale i receptionen. Morgenmaden var nogenlunden.
