We had a wonderful 7-night stay at this hotel with my family over New Year’s Eve. The atrium is beautiful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable for three people, and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety to start the day.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Although the hotel is not located right in the city center, it is within walking distance also there is a taxi point outside the hotel and Ubers nearby. We loved strolling along the riverside on our way into the city center, where all the main attractions are located. About 30 to 40 minutes walk.
The heated swimming pool was perfect for relaxing after long days exploring Seville. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend Barceló Renacimiento

Barcelo at Sevilla is a great hotel for families. I stayed there with my family during a trip to Sevilla for 3 days. The rooms are very clean, very comfortable beds and good amenities and the hotel staff are very helpful. They also have gym and swimming pool. I would recommend this hotel for families.

The hotel is affordable, well located, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, the hotel had an old, musty smell, and my room had a very strong sewer odor. This should be addressed, especially room 1414.
We also had a bad experience with the food at the Arrozante restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to complain at the moment because we had a very busy schedule visiting different places.

Check in could have been friendlier. Pool indoor is nice however after dark the lights did not turn on automatically. The new lifeguard could not turn on the pool lights. Outstanding hotel. Really nice room, with fantastic buffet breakfast selection - which is well worth it so you don’t have to travel into the city centre. The pool is a perfect temperature and the gym is the best hotel gym we’ve visited.

The staff on the front desk are very friendly. The only downside is the waiters in the restaurant (Santa Maria); we had two men who were very unfriendly and rude. This was very disappointing, especially given they automatically add a service charge to the bill. The other staff working there were friendly.

I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at this hotel—it’s super convenient, especially when traveling with kids. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the location—it’s a bit far from most attractions, so we had to rely on taxis to get around. While buses are available, they’re not the easiest option with little ones. If you don’t mind taking a taxi, I’d still recommend staying here. Be sure to take advantage of the breakfast buffet and the pool—it makes the stay feel much more relaxing!

I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel received a 5-star rating. The first room we were given was shockingly dirty — there was leftover food on the tables, crumbs on the bed and sofa, and childlike drawings on the main table. It felt more like a preschool classroom than a hotel room.

After showing staff the photos, they offered to clean the room rather than immediately providing a new one — something even a 3-star hotel would typically do without hesitation. Only after insisting did they finally switch our room.

Things didn’t improve much. The iron we requested was broken and leaking water — a serious safety hazard. On top of that, the safe in our room didn’t work, meaning we had to carry our passports with us at all times.

The decent feature was the breakfast. Aside from that, this stay was far from what you’d expect from a so-called 5-star hotel. If you’re looking for value for your money or a truly premium experience, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

And I can't do enough to compliment the breakfast, it was the biggest and best buffet selection I have ever experienced, and I have experienced many! I will definitely stay again.

First time at a Barcelo. Lovely receptionist gave us an upgrade to a fabulous room and as a surprise after we returned to our room after a show, we had exquisite truffles with a chocolate dipped strawberry waiting for us. Perfect. Great porter with the coolest moustache I've ever seen. All the staff were polite and friendly - even the on-site cleaning lady with the exception of the concierge. I politely asked him to call us a taxi and he became aggressive saying it was not in his job description and that I should go to reception. I walked away and he shouted after me that \"in this hotel, the concierge gives information about the city.\" Unbelievable and very much below the other staff members' professionalism and service. The hotel and staff are amazing, except for the rude concierge, who should be retrained and if that doesn't work, well then the next step is obvious. Thanks to the rest of the staff for an otherwise great stay.

Hotel Parking Incident

We have stayed at the Barcelo several times, mainly for the indoor pool, which our children love. The family rooms are decent but a bit small, with two double beds and a large shower but no bath.

The breakfast buffet, though adequate, is far from memorable. The restaurant menu fails to meet five-star standards. Themed around \"discovery\" and \"seafarers,\" it offers a global mix of dishes that lack focus and finesse. Many items are overly greasy or smothered in sauce, leaving much to be desired.

Parking in the hotel garage, which cost €15 per night, seemed like a safer choice than the free outdoor option. However, we found our car covered in a thick layer of dust from nearby construction work. The hotel management’s response was disappointing—they apologized but claimed the parking was operated by an external company, leaving them powerless to address the issue. Despite contacting the company, no action was taken.

It is unacceptable for a five-star hotel to allow heavy maintenance work in an active parking area, especially without protecting guests' vehicles. Dust particles can damage sensitive car components, leading to costly repairs. The hotel should ensure such work is scheduled during off-hours or when the parking area is empty. By failing to supervise the conditions under which their parking is managed, the hotel demonstrates negligence and disregard for its guests. A premium fee for parking comes with an expectation of care and responsibility, which were sorely lacked.

The staff wasn’t helpful. At check in kept us waiting due to answering the phone rather that helping in person clients, they didn’t take the time to explain hotel amenities, concierge in the middle of helping us took a phone call rather than finishing with us. Imfracstructure is excellent, however not instructions on how to use the phone to call for service, TV was not working adequately and could not contact main desk, had to walk to the main desk & was informed that will send someone to fix it - never happened. No thermostat to control the AA, extremely cold at night.

We went for ferias de abril , the hotel had a bus to take you back and forth but that was a slow long process. I found it inconvenient location everything we did required an Uber or taxi the room was not fun it was small and not greatly appointed beds were comfortable and normal sized. Just not a single drawer for storage so you couldn’t stopp ruflingbthru luggage to get your belongings and dressed everyday uff not to mention stumbling over them bc you couldn’t put anything away!

Really enjoyed our stay with our 2yo son. Was very modern and nicely presented, rooms and area around was very clean. With the temperatures being high, we found the pool at the hotel super useful as son enjoyed it very much late afternoon/evenings.
Few points of note to consider. Apparently all rooms are shower only apart from one floor in one of the 3 buildings which cointains bathtubs. Having a child, we needed a bathtub. Originally we were given a really nice room on a quiet premium side building with really nice views but had to change it because there was no bath tub. This made us change to a 1st floor room with restricted views. Although the rooms are ‘soundproof’ it was noisy as hell as the restuarants are situated downstairs on this building. We had breakfast included. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of options but we found it difficult eatinf in the evening as this restuarant is only open for breakfast only. Would have been nice having it open as half board options especially with a child. We had to uber eats food to us on few occasions as the location is away from the city hussle and bustle. We were already restricted of food choices being a muslim family. The pool was great, my son enjoyed it. There is a seperate pool connected to a indoor one but for adults only. Would have been nice if they allowed children for the indoor too as at times it was really to hot for him to be outside. Overall good stay apart from few of those downpoints worth considering.

Festival Noise Bad Timing For Our Visit

We love staying at this hotel but unfortunately on our stay there was a music festival near by and produced a great deal of noise. Not the hotels fault but then unfortunately for us people that went to the festival came back at around 4am and was talking very loudly for 2 to 3 hours by our room. Hence no sleep. We called down to reception but on check out we saw the manager Anna who knew us from our previous visits. We was happy with her response so looking forward to coming back . Regards Peter

Great hotel choice for Sevilla. A huge and modern hotel that's a bit on the fringe of the city but still only a flat 30 mins walk. The immediate area is somewhat grim but its safe and quiet. Staff were super friendly and professional and the room was clean ,spacious and very comfortable. The pool is lovely and as the hotel was quiet ,we had it virtually to ourselves. I would imagine its pretty rammed during busier times as the hotel is so big.

We enjoyed our stay here - although it was a much larger facility than we have been staying at for most of our holiday. It was a bit of a walk to the old town and the major sights of Seville - but the we appreciated the exercise. There were always lots of cabs available for those who wanted quicker access to the old town. We enjoyed the pool area - it was a nice relaxing space to spend the early evening after touring the town during the day - and it was open until 10pm
