We had a great stay at CityHub Reykjavík the pods are modern, clean, and surprisingly cozy. The outdoor hot tub was definitely the highlight, relaxing in warm water while it’s cold outside is such an Icelandic experience. The breakfast concept was a bit unusual, but it wasn’t a big deal since the lobby has everything you need a great space to meet people, store your food, and even cook.

As a solo traveler, I highly recommend this hostel! The City Hosts were so kind, cheerful, & ready to help! You could tell they enjoy their job. :) The pods were wonderful! It felt like a good, private escape when I needed to rest after adventuring. The lights and Bluetooth speakers were a fun touch!! The bathrooms were ALWAYS clean. Only complaint was my door to my pod wouldn’t latch on its own… it visually looked like it did, but then I’d have to pull/push it all the way shut. Thankfully, the vibes were good from the other guests, but it did make me anxious to know someone might be able to just push open my door when I was away if I didn’t remember to pull it shut upon leaving. But— not that big of a deal for how good the quality was of everything else! Highly recommend and I would definitely stay again!!

Cityhub was exactly what I needed. The pod was lovely, very clean and with enough space. I loved all the light settings and being able to disable and enable ventilation. I would leave at 8 a.m. and not come back until 00:30. So it was a great place for quiet and to lay my head. I knew I wasn’t going to be in the hotel much, so I didn’t want to pay crazy prices for hotels. So this worked out great and was reasonably priced. The host, Isabella, was lovely when I arrived. Very helpful.

It’s a Pod Hotel. I loved it. I chose the upper berth, clean, safe, really cute with a hot tub on the roof and kitchen amenities (shared refrigerator, microwave, George Foreman grill, plus beer and wine for sale). The staff can recommend great outings for every price range, including a $6 USD public bathing spot and a nearby park with waterfalls. The excellent and centrally located.

This was my first time staying at a Hub hotel. On arrival, there was an employee near the entrance that was able to explain how I do the self check in. The self check was very efficient. There is a common area with kettle, microwave and fridge for food storage. Dishes/cutlery available for use and when done, you just place it in the dishwasher. As a single traveller, there was enough room for me to open my checked and carryon luggage then store it under the table. For two people and luggage, it may be tight unless there are bigger hubs. I chose an upper bed which was easy to get up into and the bed and duvet was very comfortable. The common bathroom has private toilet and shower stalls and was well kept and clean. I saw a few other people, mostly in the common area. Overall, the place is quiet and sleep was comfortable. It is more affordable than standard hotels in Reykjavík so if you don’t mind the smaller space, it is a comfortable stay.

However, my sheets were dirty and covered in hairs when I arrived and I had to change them myself which is not what I wanted to be doing after a long travel day at 11pm.

City Hub is a great place to stay in Reykjavik. It's right in the heart of downtown and it's very affordable. I had a movie room which was cozy with a giant TV at the foot of the bed, and the bed and pillow was super comfortable. It was very quiet too and the bathrooms are spotless and modern. The kitchen dining area is spacious and comfortable and there was always a host or hostess available to answer questions and recommend places to see.

CityHub Reykjavik is the most compact accomodation I have ever stayed in. Having said that, they organise it very well and it works. We enjoyed our stay and it did the job. Good value for money.

The staff was very helpful and there to answer any questions during all hours of the day. It is right around the corner from everything in, and a very walkable city. All the rooms are very quiet, you don’t hear anyone else in the pods besides for doors being shut and that is once every so often. A great option for any solo travelers or couples. I will 100% be back!

Loved the no frills but luxe vibe. Perfect for travellers who prioritize maximizing their experience in the city instead of maximizing bedroom square footage. That said, the beds are perfectly comfortable! My husband and I stayed in a \"Hub\" room and had plenty of space to sleep. We were able to fit 2x carry on suitcases and 1x check-in suitcase, but be aware you can probably only open one at a time. If you're a woman on the 4th floor you really luck out with a gorgeous bathroom view! The common space is beautiful and the wristbands they use for everything (opening your room, buying from the self-serve bar, etc) is well-designed. The outdoor hot tub is a lovely touch but I do wish it were hotter!
Two points to improve would be to offer some sort of cream/milk for coffee/tea at the self-serve area, and to fix the lockers - the door hinges are terrible and affect how easily you can lock the door. However, it's still a 5/5 based on the other amenities and general vibe.

We really enjoyed our first experience staying in a hostel. The city hub hosts and manager are super friendly and helpful. We had our breakfast included which consisted of yogurt, granola, jam , croissant, apple, juice and coffee. We enjoyed meeting other travelers of all ages. We stayed in a lower bed hub...bed is very comfortable, however not alot of room to move around and no chair. We did find the doors closing created alot of noise

CityHub Reykjavík is in a great location, very clean and as advertised. Pods were a new experience for us and very fun. Hot tub was clean and a nice addition. We chose to have breakfast included, which we ate in the common area but could be taken on the go. Drinks, coffee and other items available for purchase with the wristband used to access your pod. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Overall a great value and novel experience!

I stayed twice on 2 different occasions and tried top and bottom bunks to compare. The bottom bunk is significantly better! U can sit on the bed and access all your stuff, I found the top a bit annoying and has less useable space even tho it’s technically the same amount of space. The first stay (2 nights) was peaceful and quiet - bottom bunk, second floor. The second stay was non stop thumping through the night and into the day (mercifully 1 night, top bunk, ground floor). I think people were jumping from their top bunks instead of using the little stairs. If u stay here please don’t jump from the top bunk - it’s really loud for all your neighbours! I used the lockers and the shared spaces, loved the wrist band system. It’s a really cool idea and reasonably affordable compared to other offerings - I’d stay again as a solo traveller and totally recommend.

CityHub Reykjavik is friendly, convenient, visually striking, and fun. We adapted to the \"sleeping pod concept.\" The pod is very small; our two small bags and a backpack dominated the floor space. The rest of the pod is occupied by the bed platform, which forms the wall and ceiling of an interlocking lower pod. If you have a broken leg or arm, ask for a lower pod. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the staff-summoned taxi, which arrived within five minutes to take us to the BSI Bus Terminal. From BSI, Fly Bus took us to KEF. It could not have been smoother conclusion to our Iceland vacation trip.

The property overall was excellent and very walkable. We often walked to the main bus terminal in the morning for our daily tours and stopped by to pick up our breakfast at the local bakery. The rooms are reminiscent of Japanese capsule hotels. My only complaint was that the door to the bathrooms are loud as it slams shut. If you are a light sleeper, earplugs are a must. For those who are heavy sleepers, you’ll be fine.

An amazing facility to stay in Reykjavik at the cheapest rate in town. A unique hotel style with the pristine clean and modern sleeping room and self-service for dining and drinks and meeting with other residents! It is in easy walking access to great restaurants and tourist facilities. The comfortable bed is in a horizontal hub, and the room is rather small! But everything else is excellent, including a hot salty pool, and small shared modern bathrooms.

tiny rooms packs a lot
this was my last night after coming back from driving around the west fjords so i didnt really think i needed a place with a lot of space. the hot tub was wonderful after driving for 6 hours and much appreciated with fun city view of other rooftops. i dont know if i could have made this work with two people... would need to be a very easy going person. there is not space to stretch out except on the bed which was very roomy actually. you are meant to spend your time in the common area, which was nicely appointed, and many people were. only dissappointing thing was that the coffee was not on the house.
