Just, all right! We would choose different next time we go to the area. You pay 12 euro for parking. 20 euro for breakfast and the food and range of choices is below average. The hotel bar charges you 6,5 euro for a bottle of water, so it is cheaper to drink beer!

Very good for the price

We stayed for 5 nights. Roland on reception was extremely helpful. An asset to the hotel. He explained where to go etc. Nothing was too much trouble.
We had an economy double room which was compact but had everything needed. The bed was extremely hard but may just be us, the pillows very large( but comfy). One wasn't really enough but 2 gave me neck ache. Not sure why they were so large although we were told they were new pillows. Breakfast was ok. Here and there needs a lick of paint but nothing major. I wiped the fridge out before using as it hadn't been checked I would say but other than that I would give 8/10 for cleaning.

Zimmer sauber, Betten richtig gemütlich, große Badewanne, Frühstück lecker.
1 Stern Abzug für die schlechte Schallisolierung und die abblätternde Farbe der Badezimmer Tür und angeschlagenen Möbel und Wände. Aber es war sehr sauber. Service super nett und freundlich.

Bathroom drainage completely blocked, brought flooding in the room need to leave room with some stuffs wet completely inconvenience and hotel staff not bothered to apologise or say sorry, use alternative customer toilet next to restaurant that was also having water blockage in the sink. Not willing to come back in same hotel again.

Gutes Hotel für einfache Übernachtungen

Nach einer langen Wander-Reise haben wir noch ein Wochenende in Hamburg verbracht. Nord-Marsch startete ihre Wanderungen durch Hamburg direkt in der Nähe. Daher ist dieses Hotel mehr als praktisch für die Übernachtung. Das Zimmer ist nicht übermässig gross, was uns nicht weiter störte. Wir hatten auch ein Zimmer direkt an der Kieler Strasse und haben doch mit offenen Fenster geschlafen. Für uns war das alles völlig ok. Wer ein einfaches, sauberes und praktisches Hotel sucht ist hier auf alle Fälle richtig.

We booked a room here thinking it was walking distance to the stadium for the Springsteen concert. The name Hamburg Arena implied that but it was really not walkable which was an error on our part. Considering the room rate was over 300 euros there is no way we ever thought there would not be air conditioning in the rooms. That price totally took advantage of concert goers and nowhere in the listing do we see there are only fans, no AC. It was a miserable night since it was still hot at midnight and made sleeping nearly impossible. We would never stay here or recommend it to anyone. Stay downtown at a real hotel for less and take a Taxi to and from the arena.

This hotel looks lovely and the rooms are spacious and modern. It was odd for us Brit’s not having a kettle, but the mini fridge was very useful. Small downside is that the walls are pretty thin and we heard some things we’d rather not, but such is life!

The room was nice and clean, room service was excellent. Bathroom was also very good. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice... the bar downstairs was really nice and the bartender was very friendly. But, the bed we had was uncomfortable. We woke up a few days into our stay feeling very stiff and not well rested. It's a real shame because other than the bed (which is unfortunately a big factor), we had no complaints.

The hotel for our stay was absolutely fine, the price was reasonable, the hotel was clean and Hamburg easy to get to on the bus.

Two points: all the bedrooms should have air conditioning as it was very hot during our stay, unbearable at night. Having to leave the windows opened meant noise from the traffic as the hotel is on the main road.

Only one pillow provided and not very thick -
I did ask at Reception but was told there were none spare - found this hard to believe!!

This hotel does have rooms with walk in showers but they don't automatically book them for guests when requested. In Germany items in the room are less than in other countries, e.g., no kettle in room, no face washer or soap. can be communication difficulties as some staff don't have much English. I do realise I was the visitor but I was there with a group of 26,000 and had thought there would be some effort to encourage staff in various areas to learn some English.

Sehr freundliches Personal, von Rezeption bis Reinigungsteam. Lage nach hinten raus toll, wirklich ruhig, trotz der Hauptstraße vor der Tür.
Zu Fuß alles mögliche super erreichbar, Hund kann auch versorgt werden, weil Grünflächen nah am Hotel sind.
Parken im Hof sehr günstig, in der nahen Umgebung auch umsonst möglich.

Wir hatten einen insgesamt angenehmen Aufenthalt. Für zwei Nächte war das Hotel absolut in Ordnung. Das Frühstück war zwar einfach, bot aber eine gute Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen. Das Zimmer war recht klein und wies einige äußerliche Mängel auf, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt jedoch ausreichend. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal.

Das Zimmer war perfekt. Sehr gemütlich und alles sauber und gepflegt. Das Bett war ein bisschen zu schmal für uns. Aber das hatte nichts mit der Qualität zu tun. Die Matratzen waren nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich.
Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Für jeden was dabei.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir wurde beim Aus und auch beim Einchecken sehr freundlich begrüßt und verabschiedet.
Wir werden sicher noch mal wieder kommen.

Das Zimmer war nicht schön. Die Heizung wurde durch einen Tisch verdeckt, wodurch es nicht sehr warm wurde. Im Bad war nur eine Rotlichtlampenheizung, die man über eine Zeitschaltuhr steuern musste - ansonsten war es im Bad auch immer kalt. Die Duschtrennwand der Badewanne war so kurz, dass das Wasser danach eher auf dem Fußboden war. Der Spiegel im Zimmer war dreckig. Die 140 cm Matratze war auf den beiden Seiten unterschiedlich durchgelegen und nicht sehr rückenfreundlich.
Das Essen beim Frühstück, was eigentlich hätte warm sein sollen (z.B. Baked Beans und Rüherei) war nicht warm.

Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung und nicht schlecht. Die Dusche war kaputt, und die Schränke sind sehr alt und mussten zwischenzeitlich repariert werden.

Et flott alternativ…

Et flott hotell vi overnattet på, på biltur hjem fra ferie i Spania. Alt var flott bortsett fra en veldig uoversiktlig nedkjøring til garasjen. Her burde det vært montert speil slik at man hadde sett trappen som var rett ved nedkjøringen. Samme problemet ved utkjøringen.
Ellers var det et flott hotell med gode senger og hyggelig betjening.

Skiltet utenfor var delvis skjult av vegetasjon så det kom litt brått på…

The room was old and worn, with a TV that couldn't show channels correctly. Phone in the room didn't work. Beds are not very comfortable.
No air-conditioner in the room, so it was very hot, and when trying to keep it cool during the night, you will have a lot of noise from outside with an open window.
Parking is down a steep hill, with very little room to navigate, so not very easy unless you have a small car.
Breakfast is expensive, and took a long time to refill, with limited variety.
