Good not great. The food was overall high quality, but it did get slightly old after a few breakfasts/lunches. The rooms have evidence that they once were top-of-the-line but have since fallen out of vogue. Not an unenjoyable stay, but there are far better resorts to spend your vacation at. We did have some phenomenal service at the restaurants and bars, with Pablo at the Mediterranean restaurant being a specific bright spot.

We went for a 5 day trip and had an absolutely amazing time. The staff were fantastic, the property is gorgeous. From the moment you walk into the lobby your luggage is swiftly taken by the staff so you can immediately start enjoying your vacation. They greet you with a smile and champagne and you get your first look at the awesome lobby. They have 6 different restaurants to choose from which is cool. The food all around was good. Some stuff was hit or miss but for the most part the food was good and some dishes were great. The drinks were phenomenal especially the daiquiris and blended margaritas. The beach is clean, other than the seaweed which could be cleaned more often. There are nice cabanas. The pools were perfect. Our room was great, always came back to it very clean, the room service was fast but the quality of some of the items needs to improve significantly because some stuff was great like the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken however the pizza tasted like one of those frozen personal pizzas you’d serve a child out of the microwave. Overall we had an amazing time I would rate the place an 8.5/10 the only thing that could make it better is some of the food.

Our stay was a week long, celebrating 26yrs of marriage and our daughter and friend's 21st birthday. The rooms were great and our time was memorable! Special thankyou to Jose, Roberto and Aisha who were our entertainment planners. They were very engaging and we truly made connections with them that we will treasure for a long time. Our pool side experience was great as well. Arturo was our main attendant around the pool and was extremely helpful on many fronts. Secrets the Vine was a great spot for our vacation and we hope to get back there again in the future.

The resort is beautiful, and the staff, food, activities, and spa experience were all excellent. The spa, in particular, was a very relaxing and enjoyable part of our stay.

The only area that needs improvement is the air conditioning. We had to switch rooms twice because the AC in the first room was not working properly. While the second room was an improvement, the AC still did not perform as expected. We chose not to complain again because we did not want to go through another room change.

One thing to keep in mind is that the resort does not seem very flexible with early check-in. If you arrive before your room is ready, I would recommend having a change of clothes handy, such as your swimsuit and a cover-up. Although you may have to wait until 3:00 PM to access your room, you are allowed to use the resort facilities, including the pools and restaurants while you wait.

Despite the AC issues, we still had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the overall experience. With better attention to the air conditioning, this resort would be outstanding.

We had a very enjoyable stay overall and were satisfied with most aspects of the resort. The property was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and most staff members were friendly and helpful.If you're looking for a relaxing environment, quiet, gentle, adults-only hotel, I think you shouldn't hesitate.

One thing we really appreciated was the housekeeping service. The room was cleaned very frequently and efficiently — it almost felt like the staff were ready to clean as soon as we left the room, which made the stay feel very comfortable and well taken care of.

The food was also fresh, with a good variety of options across the restaurants and buffet. The overall dining experience was very pleasant. The only thing to note is that the resort building itself is not very large, so for a longer vacation, especially more than 10 days, it might feel that there are not quite as many facilities to explore.

The only small issue we experienced was that a few staff members in some dining areas had very limited English, which made communication a bit difficult at times. For example, at the buffet, some items needed to be ordered directly, but the ordering process was not very clear and sometimes relied mostly on gestures. The order sequence also felt a little disorganized, with no clear first-come, first-served process.

That said, this was only a minor and occasional issue and did not affect our overall enjoyment of the trip. We still had a great time and would consider coming back.

Beautiful hotel in the places customers were suppose to see. Some hallways were very dirty floors. Seaweed was all over beach and nothing was being ran to try to clear it until our last day. Pool was lackluster. People were not outgoing and friendly. We were suppose to be in 20th floor. The floors started at 10, skipped 13 and went up from there. Have had much better vacations at much lower cost. The steak place snubbed us because my husband had a nice shirt and pair of shorts. They were incredibly rude. Food was mediocre all the way around except for the Italian which was incredible. Was not impressed with entertainment they had because of course it had to be loud and non relaxing. Sports bar was very slow. Our refrigerator did not work. Called 3 times and finally got a replacement, which only partially worked. No lights but drinks were colder than previous. Overall I was so excited for this trip and was lack luster. I’m sure if you wanted to shell out another couple grand, it may have been different but price was already almost over 1/3 higher than other places we have stayed and had a much better experience.

Our 7th stay. As usual the staff was great and welcoming. I felt there were significant improvements in the food with an emphasis on Bluewater Grill. It's always great to see familiar faces like Juan at the Italian restaurant. Typically the spa was a highlight but it didn't live up to previous visits. Previous visits seemed more organized in how they rotated aqua treatments, the cold shower and bucket is now gone, my massage was not relaxing. I canceled my other planned services the same day.

Service, food, & attention is top notch but there’s not enough restaurants for all the guests and there were long lines… sometimes we had to wait 40-75mins for a table. Resort has no reservations.

Special thank you to Gabriel, we sat with him at the italian & asian restaurant. He really made us have a good experience.

Views from the rooms are everything. Both the lagoon & beach are breathtaking. We booked a preferred room but to be honest its not worth it. We didn't really feel any of the “VIP” experience. Yes it has access to higher floors & an infinity pool but it was way too small and the vibe was way better at the regular pools.

Entertainment at this resort is lacking. At least compared to other all inclusives that we’ve been to in cancun & punta cana it wasnt very engaging. Barely any evening shows & not much going on at the pools or beach area. Music could be better! Not much variety & they turn it off at 4:45pm when the pool is open until 7pm.

Beware of the upselling around the resort for their unlimited vacation club, spa, & “upgrades” for a reserved table at the restaurants/event that require a wine bottle. There’s a spa across the street from the resort that’s much more affordable.

Although this resort is located in a prime location it’s a bit overpriced for the amenities.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. This is high rise hotel property not a sprawling complex. So not a lot of walking but not a whole lot to see. The beach was gorgeous but tons of seaweed was all along the coastline (not the properties fault). The water was pretty rough with large waves the 4 days we were there and danger flags were posted. The breakfast in the Market Cafe was a buffet with about anything you could want. We really enjoyed it. The restaurants were good but not great. We ate at the sea salt and it was a grill night buffet lots of grilled meat and seafood selections steak was a little tough and overcooked but overall we enjoyed. We ate at the Italian restaurant and it was pretty good. The only disappointment was the Steak restaurant we accepted a $150 up charge to get a reserved table and time, a bottle of wine and 2 lobster and Steak dinners. The e bottle of wine we selected was excellent!!! Although the food came cold, the steak and lobster overcooked and tough. The waiter didn’t come back to check on us till time for dessert after we had unhappily picked at our food and given up. That was overall the only bad experience. The staff and service was excellent!!!!!!!! Super nice and extraordinarily helpful!!!
We went early in the week so there wasn’t much entertainment at night but by Thursday our last night the entertainment and energy level increased. I’d visit again for the cleanliness of the property and the excellent service for the staff!!!

The shuttle ride to the hotel was uneventful and no different from previous trips. Check-in was quick and easy, and the hotel staff appeared friendly and helpful throughout the process.
One disappointment was that my room was not ready until exactly 3:00 p.m., the official check-in time. Having stayed at several other all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, I've often been able to access my room an hour or two earlier. While I understand that room availability can vary, it made me wonder whether the hotel may be understaffed when it comes to preparing rooms efficiently.
On a positive note, the room was well situated. From one side, I had a nice view of the ocean, while the other side offered views of the lagoon, which made for a pleasant and scenic setting during my stay.

This is a great place to stay in Cancun. The resort was in great shape. It is clean and well-maintained. The staff is very professional and courteous. The food was amazing and such a great variety to choose from. The quality of food was very high, which I totally appreciated.
The one thing that I would suggest is to purchase the trip insurance. My companion had a medical emergency (his Mother had a heart attack) 9 hours before our flight was to leave for our trip. This was something so unpredictable and so stressful. I tried making calls to Expedia, Secrets the Vine and, American Airlines. With nothing more than I am sorry but, \"there is nothing we can do\". I wasn't asking for a full refund, just some sort of credit for future travel.

The location is great. There are restaurants within walking distance or a short Uber ride. This was my second time staying at this property. The staff were awesome! They accommodated all of my requests. Check in and check out was smooth. I recommend upgrading the package to premium so you’re able to get premium alcohol. There’s also access to additional bars with the premium package. We were there celebrating my partners birthday. Upon arrival banner was placed on the door as well as a birthday treat in the room. The Conceirge was very attentive and anticipated our needs. Be sure to tip while three, the staff definitely deserve it. We reserved a cabana which was suggested by the Conceirge and were glad we did. The free lounge chairs were completely full at 9 am. Get to the Market Place cafe early if you want to eat breakfast there. We walked down around 10 and there was a long wait. The property is still gorgeous but could use some TLC in some areas, but nothing too drastic. I will definitely stay there again. This is a more relaxing resort so you won’t get urban music or the top 40s if that’s what you’re looking for. There was no turn up.

If you like to relax smoking cigarettes, cigars, or vape you're totally out of luck. They make you go outside the resort on the street with no shade, bench, nor ashtrays. Each time you go out you have to give the guard your room number and bother them to open it. Absurd. The resort that calls themselves luxury they sure do not know how to accommodate everyone. What's wrong with setting up a small corner of the resort with bench and an ashtrays? Had we known this we wouldn't have booked here.

Secret the Vine in Cancun, Mexico was a great resort. Some of the food were decent and some were great. The hotel was great and the staff was very helpful.

The Hyatt app was useful and helps alot about, resturants, bars, activities and entertainment. Only down side I experinced was one of the enterainment at night was not accurate and the event wasn't hold on the night that I was there but it indicated that it was.

Overall, my experince was great. I came with a group of 11 and we all had a blast. I would definitley come back again.

We read many reviews and watched many videos prior to our trip and we honestly loved it…Secrets completely met or exceeded expectations. The pools were amazing, the staff were extremely kind and polite, the ocean was wonderful, and every meal was delicious and high quality.

My only complaint is that some of the guests acted like entitled children and treated the hotel staff poorly. The staff were outstanding, worked their tails off, and were constantly serving drinks and bending over backwards to provide quality service but that’s just not good enough for some people these days. Some guests were just nasty, rude, and should be ashamed of themselves.

This of course is not a reflection of hotel quality because the property, amenities, and staff were a 5/5! Definitely coming back!

Pros- we upgraded to the preferred room, view was great, huge balcony, nice sized room, the butlers were nice and accommodating. Breakfast room service was good. Coffee was amazing.
Cons- other than breakfast the food was not great. The service at the restaurants was super slow. We even left one restaurant because we couldn’t get waited on. The drinks only good from certain bartenders. We could barely get waited on while sitting at the pool, meanwhile watching everyone else getting service. The night club , if you will, was fun and active the first night. After that it was wasted on movies or nothing started until 9 or 10, not even any music playing. Several of the things or activities they promote cost extra so I wouldn’t say it’s an “ all inclusive “. We went to the mall and no one bothered to say that it didn’t open for another hour. There is always someone trying to sell you something right up until you go to check out. Food and drinks are super important on vacation. I would not recommend this resort for either and BEWARE this is a non-smoking resort. Not one person we spoke to that also had to go outside the premises to smoke was aware that was non smoking.

This is a very beautiful property. It does have many positive features. We loved the food options. The room accommodations were very nice. Our concierge, Hector was very helpful. We were on the 26th level and the views were awesome. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of fresh options. Ruby at the 12th floor pool did an awesome job. We were a party of four and met another couple, so at times we were all together for a party of six..
The things that need improvement or that were lacking are.
The staff at the lobby bar had a hard time dealing with us ordering six drinks at one time.. They weren’t very accommodating.
In general, the majority of the drinks seemed watered down. It seemed as though they were trying to limit accessibility to drinks.
Some of the best drinks we got were at the halftime bar and the 21st floor preferred club bar.
One of the waiters at dragons was less than accommodating. Apparently everyone didn’t order drinks fast enough for him, so he brought three drinks of the six people at the table. He then came back and tried to take our food order with three people still not having drinks.
We had to ask him to bring the drinks.

Cleanliness around the 12th for pool and the glass at the Infiniti pool needs attention.
We have enjoyed many resorts in the Cancun area.

Our stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun was an absolute blast from start to finish! If you’re looking for a mix of high-end luxury and high-energy fun, this is the spot.Here’s why we loved it:The Preferred Club Experience: We stayed in a Preferred Club room, and it was worth every penny. The room was sleek and modern, but the real star was the view—waking up to that turquoise Caribbean water every morning was pure magic.Top-Tier Service: The staff here really knows how to take care of you. From the beach servers to the concierge, the service was excellent and always came with a smile.Beach & Pools: The beach is stunning with powdery white sand, and the pool areas are just as impressive. Whether you want to lounge quietly or be where the action is, the layout is perfect.Food & Drinks: The drinks were fantastic—high-quality spirits and expert bartending. We never had a bad cocktail the whole trip.Vibrant Entertainment: There was always something happening! The entertainment was genuinely fun and kept the vibe upbeat without being overbearing.Overall, it was a perfect getaway. This is our second and final time staying here. Although the place is niceish and most of the staff is friendly, it’s changed quite a lot. First, the butler service/concierge service is not at all what it used to be. They are there only to try to get you to buy upgraded services…nothing more. The food is ok at most restaurants, with some great food at the steak place and the Italian place.

One of the huge red flags is that they are always, constantly trying to sell something at all times. Then, they don’t honor the resort credits in accordance with their written policies! I literally tried to use them exactly as I was supposed to as written and was told “oh no, you can’t use them that way!” I show her the on-paper rules from the hotel and was still told I can’t.

Finally, it takes one bad seed to spoil the whole experience. There is an employee there named Benito who has no business interacting with people. I’m not a Karen…I smile and bear the bs and walk away. This guy is one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in a customer service environment. I had a question and he cut me off and barked at me… I just walked away and thought to myself that I’ll never stay at any secrets property again.

If you want a mid-range resort experience, this is it. Other places I’ve stayed are far more elegant and luxurious for a little less. I won’t be dishonest and say everything was bad… pools are nice, most of the staff is friendly. But it’s scammy, and that’s a turnoff.
