We enjoyed our stay here. It started off a bit rough with the first day being put in a room where there was construction over top. We quickly went and talked to the front desk and they were unable to move us until the next day. We spent the day by the pool and checked back to the lobby a few times to see when we could move into our new room so we could settle in we were only there for six days. They were able to finally move us in a room at 6 PM. Upon arrival, there was a strong scent of chemical that was overpowering. We unpacked and went for supper and notified the front desk. The maintenance came up and agreed that the room had a strong scent of chemical, and we needed to move once again. Went to the front desk got her new keys and moved to our new room at 10 PM on our second day. from there the vacation started to improve. We are VIP members of Expedia and we’re supposed to get a bottle of wine but this Hotel didn’t know anything about it and we did not receive that. The staff in all of the restaurants and all other areas were amazing. Our housekeeping crew kept our room clean and stopped at all times. The property itself is fairly clean although when it’s at 100% capacity, there are a few chairs short. We had to get up at 7 AM to save a good chair by the pool. The food was delicious although I felt was limited as we did not see a buffet for supper. The à la carte restaurants were available at no reservations so often had to wait but the food was always good.

Nice resort. Food is OK. The best restaurant is the steakhouse, which was really good. Our room was right next to a utility closet so a lot of random banging throughout random times. Room was really nice! Staff would bug us about going to the spa and coming back to book another trip. Other than that, the staff was phenomenal. Hard to get chairs by the pool. People go down early and put towels down. Kind of ruins the day. Room service was hit or miss. The pool area and beach were beautiful. Some outdated parts on the building that could be touched up. Wish there was fresh ice cream at night. Just random bland desserts.

First, I would like to say the service all the way around was impeccable! Special mentions to Miguel at the door and Juan by the pool for always smiling and giving great service. Everything was clean housekeeping was great. The food was pretty good for an all-inclusive.

Areas for improvement: I know they were dealing with with a bad smell in the downstairs areas, but the massive amounts of spray air freshener was overwhelming at times to the point of making my eyes and nose burn.

We never once got to eat dinner in the dining room, except for I guess the first night in the Mexican restaurant, which was average at best which is the only reason we were able to get in there without a terribly long wait.

I would not go back just partly because of the cattle call for dinner. No one wants to stand in line or wait around that long, I would advise taking reservations as other resorts do.

We ended up eating room service in the room every night and then going down for whatever entertainment we could find which was hit and miss could use more entertainment options.

Beautiful resort with amazing staff. We took the honeymoon suite upgrade for our 10 year anniversary and it was well worth it watching the sunrise and sunsets.
The food was good, they had a small coffee shop with snacks all day. The wait times for dinner can be pretty long most nights though so be prepared for that.

The only knock we may have is lack of evening entertainment. After dinner we kind of just went back to the room. We did enjoy the beach volleyball and pool volleyball during the day though.

It was our first time doing all inclusive instead of air bnb and it was a great experience.

This was an amazing stay! The resort was immaculate and our room with the full ocean view was amazing! Our private concierge checked in on us daily and helped navigate everything there was to do. The food, especially the breakfast, was top notch. Lots of night time entertainment to go along and the pools were great. Just be sure to get there early to get your spot. We loved it so much, we plan to return.

The hotel and room (master suite ocean view) were very nice. However, there are not enough beach or pool chairs at the property to accommodate all guests and the hotel doesn’t enforce “no chair holding.” We were there for 5 days and never managed to get a chair by the pool despite going out no later than 9am. This was frustrating. Luckily the beach is beautiful and we had better luck finding chairs there though usually by 11am those were fully taken and many guests had to sit on the sand. Restaurants were standard for an AI- the picanha at the steakhouse and the osso bucco at the Italian were particularly good. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

This resort wasn’t what I expected. The reviews on website were deceptive. The food was average. If a person needs a chair in shade forget it. Yes they had umbrellas…that we could only use til 2pm. There are good things, the room/beds and deck were amazing.

I have been to a few all inclusives in Cancun. I’ll compare my experiences to this one. Check-in wasn’t great. We stood in line for at least 20 to 25 minutes just to check in. I noticed several others were offered champagne upon arrival, but we were not. I would say the target audience for this hotel is for couples and for individuals in their 60-70s. There definitely wasn’t a lot of friend groups. Pool chairs were gone by 7:30 so go down early in the morning if you want to sit by the pool. Compared to other all-inclusives I have stayed at this one didn’t seem to have very many activities.
Pros: Rooms were clean. Breakfast buffet was very good and had lots of options. The steakhouse was also delicious but get there early because there will be a wait. Wait staff around the pool were very good about keeping your drinks full. The live music that they offered was very good. Morning yoga was wonderful!

The location is great & the resort is modern and pretty. All the staff are friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant serving the breakfast buffet daily was wonderful. The only downsides were the extremely long waits for dinner at the steak grill restaurant and the Italian restaurant. The steak restaurant was enjoyable and food was good , but we did not care for the Italian restaurant. We waited well over an hr. Unless you get there before 6 for opening or dine late at 8:00 or after, you’re gonna have to wait. No reservations are taken. The pools were nice & pool service was good, but the availability of lounge chairs was iffy and crowded. However, the pool concierge was fantastic on finding chairs and setting them up for you. He was awesome! There are 3 pools close together but not huge and there is no swim up bar, which we would enjoy. Our room was very clean & had a slight ocean view but did not have a tub. Shower only, although it was large & water was hot. The last night we had a group of girls in the room beside us that came in laughing and loudly talking at 4:00 am and they were still making lots of noise at 6:00 am. It sounded like they were in our room. Their room was actually adjoined by a door to ours. That was not a good experience. I called The front desk finally, but it didn’t help. They were not considerate and kept laughing and yelling.
I would’ve liked some shops in the resort, but there is only one very small gift shop area. I give resort a B-

Pools are great and beach is fantastic. Overall I really enjoyed my second stay here, felt taken care of for sure. On my last day had a bit too much to drink and staff took very good care of me.

Upon check in, they had to point out that we booked through expedia which means that we weren't eligible for certain offers of the hotel. That made us feel uncomfortable already. Almost as if because we booked through expedia, the room we got assigned to was in a poor condition. Water pressure of the shower and sink sucked, no hot water, AC and heater did NOT work. It was freezing cold in the room. Our room also did not have a touch tablet/ipad which forced us to download the app to order room service. Also, water was all over the hallway due to some leakage. Poor look on the hotel.

We requested for a room change because of all the issues. But even then, the new room had issues as well. The sockets were loose and also water leaked out of the shower room into the toilet room. Water was everywhere in the room. Water in the hallway was also persistent on the new floor as well.

Overrall, the experience at this hotel was poor and was not worth the money I paid for.

Disappointing Experience – Not a 5-Star Resort. This was our fifth trip to Cancun and a special anniversary stay chosen for a luxury experience, which this resort did not deliver. Having worked in 5-star hotels worldwide, this property does not meet that standard. Check-in was smooth but unwelcoming. We were told no upgrades were available, yet later overheard staff offering upgrades to others. À la carte breakfast was promised but never available, forcing all guests into an overcrowded buffet. Staff initially denied this option existed, then blamed maintenance, showing poor communication. The room was clean but dated, with harsh lighting, no bedside outlets or lamps, and a persistent sewer smell in the bathroom. Food quality was mediocre, with long wait times unless paying extra for bottle service; one dinner exceeded two hours. Upselling was constant, and paid lobster was improperly stored at warm temperatures, raising food safety concerns. Included drinks used cheap liquor despite premium bottles on display. Indoor areas were uncomfortably cold, entertainment was minimal, and even volleyball was restricted. Pool chairs were comfortable, but beach chairs were broken and scarce after 9 AM. A few staff stood out positively, Enid, Kembley, Ixchel from the coffee bar and Alberto at the pool bar. This resort may suit guests with lower expectations, but it does not provide a true luxury or 5-star experience, and we would not return.

The room was beautiful, there wasn’t much to do besides relaxing. Seats were always unavailable at the downstairs pools. We were luckily able to find seats at the beach twice. We also upgraded to preferred status so we had access to the 12th floor pool which had seats at times. We went during a busy time I guess but the resort and ocean was beautiful. We had the regular deluxe room first then upgraded to junior suite and both were amazingly beautiful! The all inclusive food was also delicious. I would come back and recommend this resort to others.

We chose the Master Suite Ocean View.... the problem was that it was NOT ocean view.... it was lagoon view, as in, the opposite end of the building facing west. When I called the front desk, the response was \"you didn't read the fine print\" but for $100 more per day, he would move us to the ocean end of the property. Needless to say, this was a bait-and-switch, in my opinion. Super disappointing. However, the rest of the stay was great. The restaurants were great, the staff was good, and there was entertainment most days at the pool and in the evenings in the bar. I would have to say that the drinks were weak, but by ordering a shot, you could solve that problem. We were sure to bring lots of $1 bills for tips for drinks and at the coffee bar. We would return, but will verify room status.

10/10!! I had a wonderful stay for my birthday. From the beautiful view to the amazing staff. I highly recommend booking preferred because the lounge and twelfth floor private access was the best! Room service and buffet was also great, no complaints there. Special shoutout to “Pablo” a staff member at the steak house on the 12th floor, he made us feel like we were at home. I highly recommend asking for him as your waiter if you get the opportunity to visit this beautiful place. I will definitely be back soon!

The property is stunning: sleek, modern luxury with breathtaking ocean and lagoon views from every angle. Our room felt like pure heaven — spacious, elegant, and impossibly relaxing.
We indulged in an amazing bubbles tasting (the wine focus here is next-level!), savored some of the most delicious food we've ever had at an all-inclusive (multiple standout restaurants!), and danced the night away every single evening — the entertainment was top-tier and so much fun.
As a total foodie who lives for dancing, this place was tailor-made for us. We would've taken way more pics, but honestly, we were having too much fun just living in the moment — soaking it all up without the phone getting in the way!
We're back home safely now, glowing with a perfect sunkissed tan and a heart full of new, unforgettable memories to cherish for years to come.
A huge shoutout to the amazing General Manager and the entire staff — they truly treated us like family, going above and beyond to make our special celebrations exceed every expectation. Our entire trip was amazing. From the time we landed our trip was nothing less than spectacular. Upon arrival, our Amstar transportation was waiting to great us. Once we arrived at Selects The Vine hotel, we were greeted with cool towels and Champagne. From the bellman to the attendant who took our bags to our room we were treated like royalty. The Secrets resort was EPIC. As our rooms were being prepared, we were escorted to the Marketplace restaurant. The food was tasty and delicious. Endless choices and the food was seasoned to perfection. The room which accommodates 2 ppl was spacious, clean and meet our needs. Since it was our birthday days we had chocolate and a happy birthday banner affixed to our doors.

Once we got settled then toured the resort. Staff treated us like family tue entire time.

Very good hotel at a good location by all other hotels to get around to places for shopping, visiting downtown Cancun and getting around. Wonderful service by the staff and food for all inclusive was delicious.

Very clean and well maintained resort. Staff are all very courteous and professional. Great security ensuring guests are tracked leaving and entering the resort 24/7 and no un-authorized people or vehicles are able to enter the property.
