Only 5 star hotel I have ever been not providing ironing service...with management preventing the willing cleaning service of the hotel to do it.
Not inclined to solve problems or give guests good experince.
Hospitality is definitely not their job.

They made the room available to us 5 hours before check-in which was much appreciated.

Everyone with whom we interacted was kind and generous ( from the bellman to the lounge staff and front desk staff and concierge) which was a lovely way to start our trip to the UK.

Considering the price charged for the room, I was surprised that the shower was inside the bath and not a stand alone unit. Additionally service at breakfast was dreadful. We were shown to a table and then that member of staff left without saying a word. There were no glasses for juice, the coffee machine wasn’t working, and I gave up on eggs. The hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a family room and my daughter said she had a great sleep.

If you are coming to London to see the sights as a tourist, I would NOT stay here. I mostly booked this hotel for the price and figured we could take the tube everywhere, but it is way way far off the beaten path. We had to pay to uber everywhere we wanted to go, and it was expensive and inconvenient to get anywhere relevant as far as sight seeing goes. We also saw a mouse running around near the bar and restaurant area on our first night. The toilet in our room did not flush well and therefore we had a sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The staff at the check in desk was very friendly and the beds were big and soft. However, I would most definitely choose elsewhere next time.

It was a very nice hotel. The couple minor issues I would (should) have reported were the very hazy bathroom mirror which was due to being a heated mirror…so wear and tear, permanently. And it was the only mirror in the room. Also, I booked the double queen room, which had no view of the wharf or city. I was told only after I checked in and unloaded that those class rooms were all limited to view because of their location. But the quality of the service, food and hotel was amazing.

Very nice hotel. Was visiting London for the Usher tour. Perfect location for first time visitors to London, although I wasn’t alone, I would’ve felt comfortable in that area if I was traveling alone. There was plenty of shopping. Restaurants and the tube was right outside the door of the hotel. The staff was very nice very attentive and just overall a good stay The room was clean located in a good area with a good view. I enjoyed it.

So I’m a titanium Bonvoy member so I’m speaking with some knowledge of the brand.

There is construction in the front of the hotel. That’s a problem especially with the light rail.
Harbor view is best.

Room: I was given the deluxe room at first just okay.. too small. So after 2 days we were moved from the construction side to an executive with Harbor view is best at this property. Anything short of that would not be good.

If I would not have been moved, my star level for the stay would have dropped significantly especially because of my status.

The staff, was very friendly and try their best to assist.
Breakfast was amazing. Bar and lounge were great.

Near everything in the canary wharf area. Train lines nearby.

Plenty of places to eat, shop and enjoy a different part of London.

A long way from Heathrow and Gatwick so prepare for that well in advance and allow plenty of time for traffic etc. leave early!

All in all as long as you’re able to get an executive room or higher with a harbor view. This is a solid property.

Poor maintenance of the room and bathroom.

This Marriott hotel has poor maintenance. The rooms are old, as is the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush well. The towels were dirty and I had to call the reception asking to change them. For a Marriott hotel, it did not comply with the standards that you would expect for this type of hotel chain. I will never go back.

The location of this hotel is great—no surprise there. But operationally, it needs serious improvement.

I had two back-to-back reservations (June 10–12 and 12–14), which I flagged at check-in. I was told I could stay in the same room—great. But I was assigned an accessible room with a shower that had a permanent chair and no space to stand. Clearly, the bathroom could have been better designed, but attention to detail isn’t their strength.

I asked for a room change—denied. Disappointing for a Platinum member who stays 50–70 nights a year at Marriott. Then I found a clogged toilet. I called housekeeping, was assured it would be fixed, went to dinner, and returned to find nothing done. I was told they came but didn’t enter because I wasn’t there—no one asked if they could enter in my absence.

To add to the confusion, I got calls and a door knock on the 12th asking when I planned to check out—despite my continuing reservation. When I wanted to change rooms, they said no; now they wanted me to move? Meanwhile, I kept getting messages to get the toilet repaired—which had already happened.

Is this hospitality, or a dark comedy?

We had several issues at this property including them not going over information that was directly asked about. I had two separate bookings and asked if I would have to check out and back in between books and was told no at check in. This created a huge issue the day before we were supposed to check out. I also asked for our room to be cleaned the day before check out to get fresh towels and replenish our coffee bar for in the morning before we left. This was not done and instead we got and opened bottle of stilled water and have eaten bag of Carmel corn that when I asked the front desk had no idea what or where it came from and I was told \"it sounds like someone not with you has access to your room\" this made me feel extremely unsafe.

We stayed here for our kids birthday trip, travelled down from Scotland and right away the staff were so good with the kids and made them laugh so much. They were excellent. Aaron especially took time to really chat to the kids he was brilliant. Friendly front desk staff always smiling. Bar man with skin head and beard was also so great with us all. Excellent stay will be returning on our next trip.

The hotel itself is very clean, modern and classy, with very competitive rates for a Friday night stay. The concierges are extremely helpful. We got into our room late after a long day in London, and there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. The concierge offered us a change of room, sent someone up to clean the bathroom and gave us complimentary breakfasts to make up for the inconvenience.

The only downsize was queen sized beds in family room they are a bit small and the other downside for us was our view which was was the back of the hotel not the Thames ..having said that we wouldn’t let these small things stop us booking again ..

Very nice hotel clean and modern. We had executive lounge access. Honestly at the weekend this is the bargain of the century, hot food salads and free drinks from 530 to 930. Brilliant. Saved us a lot! Now the Elizabeth line is open you can be in the middle of London in 15 minutes.

This hotel great, staff are friendly and location perfect for going to events at the O2. However we had an issue with the toilet not flushing and were short of a towel which we reported to reception. The receptionist assured us they would send another towel and fix the toilet whilst we were out, however this never happened. Ver disappointing as we then couldn’t use the toilet morning, not good!

Check in was unfortunately extremely slow but the concierge was very helpful and kept us up to date.

The room was spacious enough but the tv didn’t work and the shower pressure was non existent, so much so that you had to pretty much stand at the top by the taps and the water therefore just ran out onto the bath edge and floor.

First time staying in Canary Wharf and it's a really nice area. There's a ton of shopping and restaurants even though this is a finance district. The area is cleaner and feels safer than other areas of London. Lots of police and security around. Transport around London using the tubes is excellent and Canary Wharf was no different. The hotel itself is very clean with all the facilities you would expect. I plan to stay here again on my next visit to London.

Only disappointment was that the room wasn't ready.
But the breakfast more than made up for it.
Probably not everyones first choice for a tourist location. But well worth considering, as isn't as busy as the west end. But with the underground you can be right in the think of it within me minutes.

The food needs improvement. The breakfast is buffet style, but given that the location is by the water, the inside restaurant gets cold quicker—-bottom line my eggs are cold by time I sit. The scrambled eggs—-nasty!! They need to cook it more so it dries out, verses being mush. No real selection on the TV! But its England—-other from that it was ok, but needs some improvements.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Great service.

But this appears to be an older hotel. The room we were in (259) seemed worn down: The paint on the door molding inside the bathroom was worn/scrapped off exposing the wood, the bathtub drain was blocked and the water backed up (I dislike standing in waste water), the bathtub needed a good scrubbing (the anti-slip patches on the porcelain bathtub were brown from guests' dirty feet). Also, the view from our window was the exterior walls of the hotel and the rock roof of the floors below us. I was hoping for a window facing out.
