Such a nice and cozy hotel. The local area is quite nice for walking with Limehouse Basin super close where you’ll find gorgeous views of the London skyline and boats. The room was nice, felt very homelike and the bathroom was nicely decorated. The reception aesthetic is unique with random dolls and ornaments all around but I find it quite cool. The bed had a memory foam mattresses that was medium to firm which is perfect for me. The pillows are a bit soft for my liking but not bad at all. Well stocked mini bar should you need it. I would stay here again.

Such a delightful place to stay in London, a short walk from the DLR train and bus stop. There was so much to look at inside, every nook and cranny was filled with interesting tchotchkes and antiques. Each floor was filled with live plants and the rooftop garden was beautiful. Quiet rooms were available for working and many had space with tables for meetings of 10 people. The breakfast buffet was elaborate. It had anything you could want to eat and maybe even somethings you hadn't ever before. Everything was delicious. Though we did not stay long enough to take advantage of the sauna and Turkish bath, we did go look at the spa. It's the kind of place you would want to stay at least 4-5 days to relax, unwind, and enjoy all the amenities. Lovely stay.

Our experience at the Limehouse Library was fantastic. It's even better in person. Each room is designed after a person. We (three women) got the family suite and ours was after a Turkish doctor, Dr. Türkan Saylan. The suite felt like a mini apartment and was spacious, well designed, and overall a fun/quirky place to stay. I'd absolutely book again next time I'm in London. Oh! And all the staff was so helpful and kind. They helped carry our luggage up and down. Wanted to highlight the rooftop terrace as well, a beautiful and private spot to wind down. The security to our area made us feel even better.

The only negative things I can think of is the shower set up and the area itself. The \"door\" of the shower only covers about a third of the tub so after a quick rinse, the floor is soaked. It wasn't a real problem, but definitely worth noting if need be. The area is a little on the fringe but coming from LA, I didn't find it intimidating (for female travelers). Just pay attention to the lifts at the nearby station, sometimes they're \"occupied.\"

Only a single night stay but very happy with my stay. Unfortunately besides sleeping and breakfast I only spent about 20 minutes here as I was attending a function. Intriguing decorations and some might find some of the 'nick nacks' spread around the hotel a bit OTT especially if you don't like things like clowns and dolls. The bedroom theme in the room I stayed was interesting and towards the subtle end. When you turn the TV on in your room it plays information about what/who the room is based on. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and warm, there is a/c in the room the bathroom was a little small but perfectly functional. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choice. Some Mediterranean food made a nice addition to breakfast, plus the traditional Full English. I'd stay again.

I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and this has got to be one of the worst check-in experiences I’ve ever had. Why does everyone have to show photo ID? It’s officious and over-reaching. I’ve paid up front, I’ve provided a rather hefty £100 deposit and I’ve shown my ID…. Why does everyone else? It’s only by luck my partner had ID with him when he arrived later otherwise the Reception seriously were saying they weren’t going to let him stay. Very stressful experience, not what you want when checking into a relaxing boutique hotel. Absolutely would not recommend

It is a very quirky hotel and nice to be able to see inside a beautiful old building. We were given a Castro branded room, which was like sleeping in a kids room. Checking in is an overly long experience, necessitating QR codes, ID checks and a £100 pre-authorisation. You don’t often see queues to check in anymore but this all adds up to an odd start to the stay. I’m sure there are nice things to say about Limehouse as a destination?…

Room was clean. However, prior to our trip, my card on file was used at a restaurant in the area, which the hotel was then promoting at their front desk— suspicious.

Hotel staff was generally unhelpful and so loud outside of our room in the early hours of the morning. Didn’t give new towels when we requested and were very stingy with the free amenities of the room (water, coffee, etc.). Made us feel like we were bothering them any time we asked for anything.

Hotel is not central to most tourist destinations in London, but has a bus stop immediately outside and a train station that is about a 7 minute walk.

Will not be returning, mostly due to the unauthorized card charge.

I booked this hotel after my flight was cancelled unfortunately. But I felt so fortunate that this unexpected stay went so well! Room was not very spacious but sized just right, With all the useful amenities provided and well designed features I felt so comfortable and actually had a very good sleep. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was quiet too. I was really surprised when I toured to the terrace area the next morning. It was so peaceful. The most unique thing of this hotel was it was decorated so tastefully, with countless antique placed in harmonized way. Very impressive!

I really liked this hotel. My only complaint is that it's a bit out of the way and there's not a lot around it to see / eat. it's a quick bus ride or 10 min walk to Canary Wharf & the tube however, so not the farthest out of the way.

Wow, what an amazing hotel. Every room was eye opening and nothing to like I had ever seen before.
The staff were amazing and could not do enough for you - even fetching cucumber from the kitchen for my gin x
The hotel was exceptionally clean, which must take hours and hours to maintain.

Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you fancy a change from the normal x

The hotel is utterly breathtaking – I have never experienced such a delightful and enchanting place to stay. Every corner is adorned with an exquisite array of ornaments, statues, paintings and elegant furniture, all chosen with impeccable taste.
Not a speck of dust could be found anywhere, reflecting the hotel's exceptional attention to detail.

The staff were exceptionally attentive and welcoming, and the breakfast was superb – even the avocado was perfectly ripe!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

My only concerns were locating my room and the placement of charms within it.
I received a complimentary upgrade to a room on the fourth floor; however, navigating the hallways late at night proved challenging due to insufficient signage in the main areas. It took multiple attempts before I successfully found the room (and a solo female traveller, the ease of finding a room is paramount), so additional signage would be beneficial.

The upgraded room featured a Buddha-inspired design, with a decorative arrangement of tassels and charms positioned beneath the air conditioning unit. When the air conditioner operated, it intermittently moved the charms, resulting in persistent noise throughout the night. As I am sensitive to sound while sleeping, relocating these decorations to another part of the room may improve guest comfort.

What a lovely place this is. The hotel is just lovely. Really clean and well cared for. The staff were great. No parking so we had to park an Uber ride away but not a huge problem once we found the parking garage.
Our room was tiny! A bit too small and very hot. It took us ages to get the aircon to work. We couldn’t have the windows open because the aircon units were directly below the window and very noisy. However, we eventually got it working. The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable, And, the shower was amazing. 😻
Something, not sure what, the kettle we think set off the smoke alarm but we managed to sort it out. A member of staff came directly she heard it but there was nothing she could have done.
All in all a very comfortable stay. We’d deffo stay again just not in the same room. Very easy for Canary Wharf and eXcel.

We had such a lovely stay at the Limehouse Library Hotel. It is one of the most unique and beautiful hotels we have stayed in. The decor is incredible, full of books, art, antiques, and so many unusual touches that make it feel really special. The whole place has a cosy, elegant, and charming atmosphere.

What we loved most was the character of the hotel. It feels thoughtful, creative, and welcoming, with so much attention to detail. It is the kind of place where you notice something new every time you look around. It made our stay feel much more memorable than a standard hotel experience. Our room, designed in the version of Homer, although clean and lovely, these old bones struggled to get up.

The room was very clean and tidy. Every nich was cared for.

We came away thinking what a hidden treasure it is, and we would definitely stay again. The bottle of wine and letter for our anniversary, was so kind. Not even expected (25 years married).

Quite honestly, we loved this place. Hopefully we will be able to afford to come next year.

The room was nice but really warm, the Aircon would only make it hotter. The blinds in the room had slats missing so there was little privacy to the outside world and they didn't bloke any light out. The seal around the shower tray and grout had seen better days. Finally, it took 10 minutes to get served at the bar by a surly member of staff who then took it upon himself to charge me 15% service charge for a bottle of water and a can of coke. Nob. We didn't spend any more money in the hotel after that

I accidentally booked the wrong date for my stay — I intended to book for tomorrow, but mistakenly selected today because I made the booking late at night around 11:30pm. I fully understand that the reservation was non-refundable, and I was not asking for a refund, only a one-day date change. I spent over 3 hours communicating with customer service until 2:30am, but the only option offered was to pay an additional £210, bringing the total to £353 for one night without breakfast, which is more than double my original booking. Considering this was just a small, understandable mistake made late at night, this felt extremely unreasonable and showed a lack of flexibility or customer care. I hope management will review this situation and consider a more customer-friendly approach

Turkish flavorings but with a big kind universal vision of the world, each room dedicated to another great thinker or artist or teacher. Little doodads everywhere, paintings - not your everyday London hotel. We left feeling very happy and well rested! Good restaurant. Sweet and memorable.

We booked to stay at the Limehouse Library for the day after our wedding. We were off to Paris and wanted a nice stop-over before heading off on the Eurostar. Limehouse Library looked great, quirky and something a bit special for the night after our wedding.
I had, unbeknownst to my husband, ordered and paid for the Wedding Package (£35) as a surprise for when we arrived. When we arrived and entered the room, I was immediately disappointed. The banner in the room didn't read 'Just Married' as expected, but instead said 'Happy Anniversary'. The banner itself was cheap and tacky, not at all like the banner advertised on the package photo which looked more premium. There were balloons and rose petals, but no prosecco and no chocolate covered strawberries. It felt cheap and thoughtless and greatly disappointing.
When we spoke to the staff the next day, it felt like the blame was on us for not raising it immediately with them. It would defeat the point to have them come in a remake the room, and we also had to rush straight out to a dinner reservation so couldn't raise it straight away. They did also mention they couldn't guarantee 'fresh items' - I'm not sure what they meant by this as I'd specifically paid for this package with prosecco and strawberries.
The hotel itself was nice, clean, quirky, although the rooms were a bit smaller than I imagined. It was the failure to deliver the wedding package that really let us down and ruined our stay.

The Limehouse Library Hotel is a unique, and beautifully appointed London hotel. Although the hotel is quite a bit east of London, Central London is easily accessible on the Uber Boats.

The decor of the hotel is unique, and amazing. Our room was clean and quiet, and the buffet breakfast was amazing! The staff were helpful and welcoming.

On arrival the lady on the desk asked that both myself and my wife produce ID. My wife didnt have ID on her but the lady on the reception at first was not very helpful, she told me that no ID is a problem. It had to be a Gov issue ID. After 5 minutes of my wife scrolling through her photos on her phone looking for something, i went to the desk to complain and then the hostess told me to search in photos for passport which sorted the issue. She should have just said straight away rather then make us stress about it in the 1st instance. Only other issue was the coutch in the room. The legs were bent and ready to snap so we decided not to sit on it incase it broke and we got the blame thus loosing the deposit. We did report this to the reception on the way out for the night but it wasnt resolved when we got back.
Breakfast in the morning was self service buffet and was great. My wife is quite fussy and was not that pleased but i think she just preferes her own cooking. I had x2 croissants with nutella & Jam. A taste Continental sausage and fried eggs. Lovely.

Hazel at front desk greeting and checking was AMAZING! went out of her way -tto make sure everything was explained-toured-shown to me after i checked in. Breakfast is a full spread -well worth the extra added to room charge if you desire. Room was clean -and modernly redone alone with rest of hotel. I wa a single- I had room to move around- if your a a big couple room would be very small- Diffently small if a couple with child. Honor bar in fridge-npresso coffee - lots of power and charging outlets in room..

Loved Limehouse Library Hotel !! Very quirky, with plants and pictures everywhere. The themed rooms were fun... we were in Marie Curie, complete with radioactive symbols over the bed and a copy of \"Lessons in Chemistry\" on the bedside table 😂.

The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was really good with loads of choice at the buffet.
Would definitely stay again.

I feel like the description given of the room was not very accurate. It was a pretty small room for the price paid.
However the staff was exceptional. Due to trouble getting our rental car we were late to check out and they were very gracious and kind. The food at the restuarante is delicious as well.
For us it wasn't a very convenient area to access things. However that is my fault for not checking the area better.

The room was so cosy and spotless!! The staff were super nice and friendly too. There was complementary tea, coffee and water and an additional minibar option in there. The decor in the hotel was unique too, I would definitely stay again!

The hotel offered real character, unlike many chain hotels with no personality. The staff were so kind and attentive, and we enjoyed the sauna and hammam facilities, along with the delicious breakfast. Hazal, at reception was wonderful too, we will recommend this to our friends.

A beautiful, quirky hotel with everything you need for an enjoyable stay in London. DLR station is a 5 minute walk away, as is a Tesco Express. We used the DLR to access the tube to travel all round central London and an uber (due ti rain) to take us to Canary Wharf for a night out. We stayed in the John Passmore Edwards’ room which was tastefully decorated. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. We forgot our swimwear so didn’t use the spa facilities. Would 100% stay again.

The front desk staff member was very helpful and checked us in quickly. The room was warm and clean with a big, comfortable bed. Breakfast was organised and tasty: English breakfast buffet with bread, spreads, cereal and a few other treats. The hotel is decorated in a delightful quirky style with trinkets from all over.
