Hotel and room was clean. Staff were helpful. Room was spacious. No tea or coffee in the room. 5 minute walk to Laurentina metro station. About 30 minutes to city/Termini station. Breakfast was very good and had wide variety. Restaurant was also good for dinner.
Our only concern was that we were provided with a type of room that was not in line with my booking and the staff said they were fully booked.

I really loved the hotel and will recommend it to my family! The Breakfast was amazing! My room was quiet and I was able to sleep soundly! Love that everything is near by! The metro, the bus station, shops and restaurants and taxis. Located in an excellent area. I will stay here again when I visit Rome in the future! Excellent hotel!

Thermostat when I arrived in the room was reading 27 degrees, after 3 days of having the AC set to cold it only got down to 23 degrees. Food was average at breakfast and dinner. The gym equipment was extremely old - 90s style equipment packed away in a small room in the basement with no AC. The room didn’t come with an iron or ironing board so I was forced to send my clothes off to dry cleaning just to iron them. The area around the hotel is more of a business district and if for some reason, like we experienced, it’s either raining or the tram into the city is shut down you are virtually stuck in the district as the taxis can be extremely unreliable that far out of town, there are very few options to go for dinner in the area as well.

The hotel was just about adequate in most areas, however, some areas that really pulled it down include significant dust in the room, and terrible breakfast. There was a thick layer of dust on the coffee machine and the desk.

Whatever abomination they were serving in place of scrambled eggs should not exist. It neither looked nor tasted anything like egg and must have been the powdered stuff. The rest of the breakfast spread was average.

I was surprised there was no iron to use, even when asking at reception, given the proximity to conference centre and business district.

When we arrived we did not get the room we paid for and they were not interested in the room description of what we had paid for through Expedia nor were they interested in our copies of the room description.

Once in our room I went downstairs to advise them that the AC was not working and said they would look into it but they never did because when we returned late that night there still was no AC. Very inconsiderate.

The evening staff did their job and confirmed that the AC was not working. They immediately sent someone who advised the front desk that we had to change room, the heat was unbearable. They changed our room and noticing all the inconsistencies with our booking the night person at the front desk upgraded our room and took care of us. The personnel working the day shift deserve a zero rating and I would never have people like that running my place. Will never go back there although I would give a 5 star to the evening personnel.

By the way we arrived there a little earlier to check in and they seemed very irritated. They asked us to come back at 15:00, meanwhile some people were already checking in.

Pro: minutes to metro & bus, clean, good staff, great breakfast
Con: no hot water kettle or coffee maker in room though the staff did lent us a kettle when asked. Wifi is not secure but connection is good. Not much food choice in the neighborhood.

Was given a small room for a deluxe, had to hold my breath as I walked around the room as the bed was close to the wall. water in the shower went hot cold hot cold hot cold.
Although that sounds bad overall it was ok, will probably not stop there again though.

We arrived at the hotel around 2 in the morning, unfortunately our flight was very late. So no other clients should have arrived after us, the Hotel was not full at all, but they assigned us a room at second floor facing the street, and despite the double glazed windows, we couldn't sleep properly due to the noise from the street. Breakfast was quite good, staff a bit in difficulty because not enough ( just 3 people ). Tube station Laurentina is just 500 metres far and very convenient to reach the city center.

Hotel is located across the street from Laurentina metro stop. It is also located outside Rome City Center closer to the aiport, so taxis were less expensive by Euro 8-10 when on the meter rather than using the standard Euro 48 fare for airport transfers to/from airport

The hotel is about 7 miles southwest of the main parts of the city. But it is a short walk of 5 minutes to cross the street to get to the subway. $1.50 and 20 minutes and you are at the Colossum. The hotel was recently remodeled and is very modern. The room is large and bed comfortable. The negative is that their is no place to open our bags except on the floor. No shelf space or drawers to put your clothes even though the room is large enough. Although it calls its self \"American Place\" it is not American oriented. No coffee provided, and you can go next door and buy some. No night light in the very dark bathroom. And on hot October days, they turned off the air-conditioner. They said they do this the first week in October, so open the window (without screens).

The property is modern and very clean. I personally don’t like carpets so the fact that the rooms are not carpeted is a plus for me. The staff is friendly and although is far from the city center, is very well connected via Metro or Bus. The amenities are ok, room was small and a bit tight. Worth it.

The hotel was a perfect location for me, but pretty far from tourist stuff. However, the Laurentina subway stop is just a couple blocks, and there's a taxi stand just outside.

Two blocks away is a small market where I found milk, vegetables and wine. I kept them in my small fridge.

The room was tiny, but great for my needs. The AC was freezing, in a good way. (Italy is not especially air conditioned). I caught up on English speaking news on the cable TV. There's no ice machine, but a busman from the restaurant gave me a bowl of ice.

The WiFi worked well, but throttled me after I uploaded a few large files for work.

There's no bar. The lobby is huge and gorgeous. The restaurant was hopping. Not enough power outlets in the lobby, but lots of USB ports in the room. The lights work only with one's key card.

The balcony was a great benefit. I washed some things in the sink and hung them to dry in the hot sun. (And it had a great view.) I don't remember the last time I had balcony access in the states. Too many liability issues, I guess.

I didn't hear any of my fellow guests, even though the hotel was full.

Good - but avoid rooms with only pull-out sofa bed

The hotel overall is good and good value for Rome. The area is well outside the centre, so bear this in mind. The only issue I had was that I was offered a room with only a pull out sofa bed (thin mattress, noisy springs). I asked for a change, only to be offered another room with a sofa bed. Third time lucky I got a room with a bed in it. I do think hotel rooms ought to have ordinary beds in them as a relatively basic requirement! The hotel was full, so I suspect someone else had to put up with this. So, this is something to check if booking this hotel. Otherwise it is fine.

Location

Location is good for visiting Congress Center which is short walk away. If you are going into city center, you are better of walking to nearby Laurentina metro station, so you can get subway direct to coliseum. It is really cheap to do this €1.50 (instead of approx €30 for taxi)

Fold-out bed?!

Nicely revamped hotel and perfect if you are here for conferences - clean, functional, breakfast ok, and 10 minute walk to La Nuvola conference centre. Also only about 20 mins taxi from FCO airport.
2 points which let it down:
1. There is no iron /ironing board - not in your room, nor in the whole hotel. Bit of a problem if you are here on business and need to iron suits and dresses. Apparently, this is for health and safety reasons. Which is odd, as most other 4 Star hotels in the world have one.
2. I booked a \"single\" room, and the bed was a fold-out sofa bed. Fine if you have a child, but not really acceptable for a 4 * hotel as the main bed of the room. Although I suspect most double rooms will have a normal bed.

I probably wouldn't stay here for a leisure trip due to the location, better to book one nearer the centre of Rome.

Good distance to Rome center...rent a car!
Hotel appears to have been recently remodeled, still working on what I believe will be a restaurant. Friendly staff, small, but clean comfortable room. Went for a coffee after 10:00 am, it wasn’t possible, the kitchen was closed. Fortunately very good cafes within a few minutes walk.

The gym equipment, is probably from the 70’s. No free weights, the pieces of equipment were broken or operated poorly.

Só não repetiria se estiver novamente com bagagem pesada, pois o metrô fica a uns 300m do hotel. Apesar de ser um excelente hotel, ele fica afastado dos pontos turísticos.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel recentemente e, nel complesso, l’esperienza è stata positiva. L’albergo offre un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo: la camera era pulita e ben curata, e il personale alla reception si è dimostrato molto gentile e disponibile.

Un punto di forza è sicuramente il ristorante interno, dove ho avuto il piacere di gustare piatti buoni e ben presentati, anche se le porzioni non erano particolarmente abbondanti. Un ringraziamento speciale al cameriere Federico, che si è distinto per la sua professionalità e gentilezza: ha saputo consigliarmi un vino perfetto, tenendo conto dei miei gusti.

L’unica nota negativa riguarda la posizione della mia stanza, situata vicino al distributore di acqua e snack: il rumore proveniente da lì era purtroppo ben udibile in camera, causando un po’ di fastidio.

In ogni caso, consiglierei questo hotel per la qualità complessiva e il servizio attento.
