The air conditioner didn't work, when we opened the window there was a lot of noise. The towels don't have a pleasant smell of laundry. It's nice to be near a shopping center.

Internet was not working properly for the length of my stay (3 days), and for a business trip it’s crucial. This problem should have been fixed in 24h.

I selected Novotel because for their reputation and had no problem in the past but this time I am very dispointed.

The rest was correct.

Andrea from the bar was exceptional!

Very clean hotel, love the modern replacement to carpet in the room. Andrea (hope I spelt his name correct!) from the bar was exceptional, gave us very reasonable price mini buffet because restaurant was shut. Also helped us opening bottles of our own wine free of charge

Food at the onsite restaurant was wonderful. We had dinner and breakfast and really enjoyed it. The issue is the rooms, our room was musty, old, and the cleaning job was horrendous. There was a used shower cap left in the shower from a previous guest. Towels had stains and there was a half eaten food container in the mini fridge and a paper shopping bag from previous guest just laying on the furniture. The cleaning crew needs to take their job more seriously. I would avoid just because of the room condition and poor cleaning done to the rooms.

We had a room booked, from 2pm, and then planned a 6 hour trip, to arrive at hotel 4pm ( a full 2 hour after check in time )

The hotel counter, greeted us with a \"we're very bust, your room is not ready, go sit there\".

We offerres required information, at counter, to complete a professional, polite check in, but were abruptly directed to sit.

We had planned to arrive 4pm, a full two hours after check in, so could rest before heading out to dinner and see sights.

The irony is this, is i deliberately and intentionally booked Novotel ( part of Accor Group ) as have stayed with the hotel chain, many times. The difference in \"brand quality\" to the usually high standards of Accot, was pronunce.

The hotel messaged us, in advance, to advise \"city tax\" but absolutely no mention \"they were busy\" - perhaps providind advance notice, of late \"check in\" problems, so we could appropriately plan.

Finally, it was our last night in Rome, and wanted to ensure a great, solid sleep before 22 hour flight back to Australia.

Someone from Novotel, knocked on our room door gently, then progressively louder, and before we could fully wake to respond, a staff member unlocked door and walked into room. This caused significant stress, for my partner and daughter, who felt very vulnerable and unable to rest.

The rooms are marketed as \"sound proof\", but unfortunately as well, we listened to many people entering their rooms, from 11pm to the early morning.

When making an enquiry, non plus care.

Heating was not working despite being cool at night, there was no extra blanket it the room, and the bath towels were new and had not been pre-washed, so i ended up with lint all over.

This hotel was a big disappointment. It's essentially a 1970s building that has been refurbished.

Main issues:

- given a disabled access room with a shower that floods every time it is used.
- stains on the floor and desktops
- very noisy air-conditioning
- breakfast was very poor for a hotel of this standard. Limited choice, low quality juice, coffee and pastries.
- in general the staff (except cleaning staff) were indifferent to the point of being rude. An example, on check out the receptionist asked if I had a good stay. I replied that it had been average at best. Her response was \"oh\"..... And then didn't mention anything else about it. I would have expected someone to actually ask what the matter was.

For €200 per night this is very poor value for money.

It was a nice hotel, breakfast was always cold but not sure if that is the way Italy has breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage were cold. Everything else was nice. A little far from the city so next time we will stay closer.

Although the hotel was nice and located in a great area many of our appliances did not work such as the a/c, refridgerator and coffee maker.

We complained but the only choice we got was to move everything to a new room. We didn't even receive complimentary water or something similar to make up for the frustration.

Breakfast had a great variety however the heaters did not work and the food was cold.

It was completely hot in the room. Air condition was not working. My son suffers from asthma and the accommodation was terrible. There were no rooms to give. They could not switch us. The maintenance crew did not arrive at all after requested. Just a terrible experience.

Stay was nice but little far from main attractions, we missed the breakfast at hotel as it opens at 7 am on weekends as our tour bus started at 7am. And we had to buy breakfast later on trip. On Sunday we had a flight back to home at 8:30 am and we had to start from hotel around 6:30 am .. again when we asked hotel to provide some breakfast, they said it opens at 7am.

This is one of the best Hotel's I've stayed in, especially for the price. The room was nice, the bed was comfy, the rain head shower was awesome, I would have stayed there every night while in Italy but was traveling to other areas. Would highly recommend staying here!

The rooms are nice, but a little small. Location is conveniently close to a mall, gas stations, and major roads, and airport.

Restaurant food was meh. We ate there for convenience, but I was not happy with the food. For example, my salmon carpaccio was smoked salmon, not raw fish. I cook much better at home. At least the prices were not outrageous.

The fish tanks needed cleaning, and the fish inside were sick/dying due to lack of care/cleaning.

Overall stay was good except it was stuffy as we couldn’t switch on the air conditioner
Luckily we were on the 4 floor and not so much mosquitoes
Tried the restaurant, food was not too bad

The lobby area looked nice and clean. However once you get to the rooms it’s a completely different story. It’s dark and it smells bad. Not very clean and the furniture is very outdated. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude. Wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend this place.

We stayed here for the sole purpose to be in walking distance of Euroma2 shopping centre on our last night in Italy. For this reason, it met all expectations. Clean, great coffee bar and easy taxi service to FCO. I do think it's too far from the historic center for sightseeing. It's way more fun to stay in the center to see sights and walk everywhere.

Solid for a quick stay near the airport

I stayed here on an overnight layover. The hotel was pretty modern and nice. The rooms were ok, I wouldn't consider this a 4 star location but it got the job done considering how near it was to the airport. There was also an older gentleman working the overnight desk who extremely unfriendly and rude. The woman in the morning was lovely though so she offset it.

We booked late, so hotels were getting further and further away from Rome center. This hotel is an easy 15 minute walk to the subway station. Single use tickets are available at the front desk. Including the walk to the station you can be at the Colosseum in 30 minutes. Vatican is a bit further with a transfer at Roma central station. Easy! Conca D'oro Roma is a nice cafe on Viale America on the way to the subway station we frequented. Front desk staff spoke English and were very friendly and helpful. Alecia at the bar and Giorgio at the front desk were standouts. Another restaurant we ate at several times was Osteria Pizzeria Margherita, about a 20 minute walk. Fantastic, all locals and no tourists it seemed. We were the only non-Italians there as far as we could tell. Staff was great, food was fantastic. Thanks Giorgia! The area surrounding the hotel has some development underway, and is an odd mix of seedy looking and very nice housing areas. We felt safe, walked everywhere. The nearby Eur Park was beautiful and busy.

The property was clean and modern. Reasonable distance to airport, don't let taxis overcharge you. It's about a 25 euro ride to the tourist sites. Lunch at the restaurant for vegetarians was great. Nice stay altogether, but note wall are thin so could hear footsteps and talking of neighbors so was challenging for light sleeper.

Fine hotel, but not the best in cleaning(walls of the bathroom had mold). Breakfast was good and i really liked they had two categories with different prices to choose from. Staff was good. I was disappointed about the fact they were not environmental friendly at all: every day change of towels, shampoo and soaps, without the possibility of leaving a sign on the door or something similar saying i didn't need room service. Also no signs or texts notivating customers to have good environmental friendly practices.

Very nice place but the bed is old style and not comfy. The location is great close to the mall and to metro station you can walk or take the bus
The breakfast is great the made omelette for us and it tests really good plus the buffet.

Good value Hotel but NOT 4 star!!

Value is good but then you get what you pay for. I have stayed in Novotels in other countries and they are good, bigger and much better. At the most this is a premium budget hotel.
Staff a re nice, but are short in number so they struggle to for e.g. keep pace in the buffet breakfast area for replenishment.
Getting to City Centre is OK - take the bus from outside, 5 minutes to metro and then another 20 minutes and you are in City.

Very nice hotel with good price

I stayed in that hotel on first days and my last day of vacation in italy. I really liked the hotel with everything. its really close to anywhere in Rome . Free parking is really a plus in rome. Breakfast is good enough . Hotel staff are really nice and helpfull ( especially Rocco is really nice , and he helped us alot during our stay)

So anyone goes to Rome can stay there without worries.
