Hotel is old and very far away from everything. (A 40min bus ride or 20 min cab from the station). Ac was not working when we arrived and we were told to open the windows. Breakfast is very basic. It’s not a 4 star hotel. More like a 3 star.

The Hotel was very comfortable. The location is so good. There are three tram stops, one after the other, just across the road. The staff is very helpful and indeed friendly. The rooms, linen, washroom, towels were very clean. Overall, safe place for solo travelers. Breakfast has lot of options. I am happy I chose this Hotel for my stay. MiCo convention centre is 25 minutes, almost straight road walk. So, no expense for attemding conference. There is an excellent supermarket, La Grande, where I bought lot of coffee and chocolates. In the same shopping complex, there is ALDO, H&M, Zara... And prices are better than any of the major shopping complexes. Tram 14 which runs just across the road, connects to all major attractions. Price is slightly more than other nearby Hotels but its worth all the comfort, food, safety and cleanliness.

Great hotel, staff is very nice. Great breakfast. Unfortunately the location is not ideal for tourists. At least 40 minute Tram ride from all the main attractions. Closest metro station is 20 mins away. Getting to the central station was a headache with the morning traffic.

While this hotel is situated at a distance from Milan’s city center, the staff provided exceptional assistance throughout our stay. However, the neighborhood surrounding the hotel did give us some safety concerns. Our room faced a bustling road, leading to considerable noise from passing trolleys. Regrettably, we also encountered mold in the bathroom, and the beds were exceptionally firm.

The property was right across from #14 which you can take to Duomo-city center. We also used it to get to our Eurail Train in Milan Central. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, Multo Bene.

Service, Comfort, and Delicious Breakfast!

Fantastic service and convenient location on Tram line 14 (one of the main ones) and a 1 minute walk from Tram line 1. Excellent breakfast as well! Beds were firm memory foam; I don't usually like a firm mattress, but these were amazing. Excellent sleep had every night, and the room was very quiet!

Cleanliness and Staff are Great, the only thing to concern is, the room was not as big as we had thought, the beds were too hard, so it's hard to sleep, no extra pillows(they might charge extra), and had we to pay for the kettle each day. I have been to other \"Best Western Hotels\" that served better, but this was ok i guess.

I really liked this hotel, the rooms were great, they had a good breakfast and tram stop was across the road. I didn't like the fact that there was no tea coffee making facilities, you could hire a kettle for 10 Euro. We asked for a late check out of 4 hours and we were charged 60 Euros which is basically a nightly rate, I thought that was a rip off. The hotel is out of the main centre but still in a nice area and the tram takes you straight to the centre.

A comfortable and reasonably-priced hotel with welcoming staff.
The drawback is the location - not so much because of distance from the city centre (there’s a tram stop at the hotel and only 15 or 20 mins to the centre) - but because of the lack of quality eating options nearby.

The (suggested) restaurant across the road which I tried was very ordinary.

It’s a good option if you’re not looking for a Grand hotel and want to avoid the high prices of hotels in the centre, but plan to go into town for dinner!

This hotel is amazing and the receptionists are all nice and willing to help (they also speak some English). The rooms were very clean and very spacious. The only real problem was that I booked 2 rooms and one of them smelled heavily of smoke, which is not the hotel's fault, but is something to consider. Overall, I had a very good experience at this hotel.

Clean hotel, friendly front desk. easy to get to downtown and Expo Milano 2015. Not a lot of things to do near. Very good breakfast.
You can park for free in the sidewalk
If you do not mind using the tram (takes about 20 minutes downtown and less than 15 minutes to the EXPO 2015 + walking) it is a recommended option.

My second time at the Mirage, still excellent value with comfortable rooms and good breakfast. I'd tried to book a twin room - don't you hate it when the site only lets you book a room for two people without specifying double or twin? - and they didn't have any, but the staff were very helpful and eventually gave us two singles for no extra charge.

Staff very friendly, avg hotel for Europe, good breakfast. We had a 3 person stay, the full bed and single were separated by rooms which was different, and each room a bit small, but tuned out fine as my daughter probably needed the space anyway since we had been traveling so much. The hotel is a 20 Euro Taxi ride from the Fiera ExhibitionCentre .The hotel is in excellent condition there are only two lifts which can mean a slight wait .The breakfast was very good .
The cleanliness of the room was of a high standard.
The major disappointment for a 4 star rated hotel was the in house dinning room was closed Friday and Saturday.
After an early start and a long day I did not really want to walk to find a nearby restaurant.
The front of house staff tried very hard and were helpful.

True value for money. Wonderful experience too. My wife left her handbag behind after breakfast one morning with our very important documents and cash in it. Relevant hotel staff returned same to us before we even knew what we were loosing. Hotel is however a bit far from Duomo - city centre - but this is compensated for by an efficient tram service right in front of hotel which takes up to 20 mins to get to Duomo. Will definitely stay there again if I return to Milan.

It's a nice hotel. Very neat and clean and excellent service. It was perfect and very comfortable. I was impressed. The location is a little far from Duomo and the main stations (Cadorna and Milano Centrale) but Tram 14 (a cogwheel transportation system) stops in front of the hotel and takes you directly to Duomo (it takes like 25 mins) and connect with other trams that go to the stations. Be aware that Google maps does not gives directions considering trams and the apps of Italy transportation does not provide the routes either. I recommend to download the app MuoviMI which provides the lines of trams and connections. I also suggest to take a map to be combined with the app in case you need to now exactly where you can take a Metro of how much you need to walk.

First, let me potentially save you some time and tell you how to get to the hotel if you are arriving by train (it took us 2.5 hours to get to the hotel when it should have taken us 30 minutes or less - and that was getting directions from a Metro employee):

1. Take the green subway line (direction Assago/Abbiategrasso) to stop Lanza.
2. Get on the northbound Tram 14 (you won't need to cross any streets once you exit the metro station).
3. Get off at stop Certosa Casella.
4. The hotel is on the right side of the street.

Second, the hotel is great. We had a \"family room\" which was two rooms with a connecting hallway and door that closed them off from the main hall. The rooms were lovely: good size, big windows with effective light-blocking curtains, large and comfortable beds, clean and sizeable bathrooms, and incredibly soft towels. I would stay here again now that I know how to get there.

Good hotel good breakfast too far to the San Siro

Good quality hotel away from the main city centre. It is located about 30-40 minutes away from central station. It is only reached by tram number 14 (19 comes close)
Not walkable to San Siro, at least 45 mins however the tram and 2 buses will get you there in less time if you get the connections well. (tram 14 for 4 stops then bus 91 to lotto then bus 49). All transport runs into the morning and we got back from San Siro on a late Sunday game easily enough.
Rooms were lovely, modern and clean. Very nice jacuzzi bath and shower combo!!! Usual hard Italian mattress. ENGLISH TEA provided in room!!! Breakfast was nice and is served til 11.15.
Staff on reception were ok especially the man who checked us in, night man was not helpful or good english.

Nice hotel about 30-40mins away from major attraction. From airport there is. A bus that will bring you to Milan central station. Find the line that will bring you to Lanza get off from that station go up and take tram 14 going to Maguirre (sounds like that) about 10-12 stop your hotel should be in your right.

Fantastic Hotel

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights in early June. Easy to get to from the train station by metro and tram (no need for taxis unless you have lots of heavy luggage). Very quiet, clean, extensive choice of food and drinks at breakfast, and just a short tram ride away from the centre of Milan. Best thing of all - the reception staff, who were so helpfull with directions, restaurant recommendations, and transport / ticket advice. Would love to return some day for a longer stay.

We stayed at the hotel to see Bruce Springsteen at the San siro stadium. The staff were really helpful at all times with suggestions for restaurants ( all of which were great), transport etc. When we arrived back after 1 am from the concert the bar man was only too happy to serve us drinks and find substantial nibbles as we were starving - closing up at 3 am as we staggered to bed.The hotel is a distance from the centre of town but with a tram stop just outside it wasn't a problem. wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The staff were very efficient and pleasant through out our stay. We were directed to a wonderful restaurant within walking distance from our hotel. We dined there two evenings and would have gone a third night, but we could not get reservations. Delicious breakfast included with the room rate which I would recommend to anyone.

i have stayed here many times, and just keep coming back. I travel for business and if i can add a day of rest anywhere, I choose here.
Staff have always been fantastic. I first came here by myself, then with a wife and infant, then with a wife and toddler, and I cannot compliment the staff enough.

My husband and I with our partner group stayed at Hotel Mirage during the 2013 Milan EAU Confence. Their staff members are very professional, showed great hospitality, offered assistance above and beyond.
When the hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday, because we were too tired to go out for dinner after the whole day exhibition, they offered to get their chef in to cook dinner especially for the 6 of us.
One thing I have to bring it up here is, the honesty and excellent quality of their team. I left my jewelry bag in the hotel and only noticed it after returned to my US home. I called the hotel, supresingly, after I mentioned my name, they told me that they had my jewelry bag and was going to contact me through my credit card information. They managed to ship the bag back to me within a week. I'm so impressed of their well trained and good service, and would like to recommend Hotel Mirage to every Milan visitor.

Football at the San Siro

We picked this Hotel for our stay in Milan. The purpose of my trip was to take my two children to the San Siro to watch a football match. The hotel is a little way out of the city centre, but a tram 14 took us into the centre, travelling every 10 mins we were never kept waiting long. Trip took anywhere between 20 / 60 mins. A tram change then took us straight to the football ground. Public transport is very easy and inexpensive. An all day travel card to use either buses, trams or metro were only 4.5 Euros each. Hotel itself was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast served between 6.30 to 11.15 (amazing) and so much choice. Would definitely go back again.

location is awesome but not the food

scrambled eggs in breakfast is very bad. And the room is too small. And we have to rely only on Line 14 Tram to reach this hotel. But the hotel is right at the tram stop. So very convenient to travel within the city,
