Was not greeted or offered a cookie just asked for my id and cc. Was told nothing about breakfast where it was or if it had a price. The next day we went to eat and was asked for $19.99 each and when I tell you this was basic motel breakfast food that's being generous. We politely declined and left before eating anything. They are doing construction and construction people had a door tied open next to our room to the outside it remained tied open after they left I called the desk and asked if they could close it as it's a security risk anyone off the street can just walk in here it typically takes a room key to open they agreed this was at like 8pm went out at 11pm still opened I untied and shut myself . The whole place feels old and shady even the breakfast attendant didn't have the nicest things to say about the new ownership

Under construction and expecting full payment for 7 day stay, I stayed 1 day and checked out. Rooms dated, dirty, falling apart. They were renovating the reception area, I think they need to do the rooms first. Avoid at all costs, you have been warned. Never again. This place is bringing down the DoubleTree reputation.

The property rates 4 star but it isn’t even 1 star. It has smoke and weed smell starting from the entrance. Bedding and furnishings are in terrible condition. Peeled and stained. Dirty overall. Carpeting stained and ripped. Front desk won’t answer a call and they are sitting in the front doing nothing.

My recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Sharonville, Ohio was extremely disappointing.

The hotel is currently undergoing major construction, but this was not properly disclosed before booking. The photos online show a clean, fully operating property, but the reality is that the hotel feels like an active renovation site. There was dust throughout the building, which caused me to sneeze, cough, strong chemical and paint smells which caused me to develop a headache during my stay.

When I attempted to speak with someone about the conditions and cancel the remainder of my reservation, no manager was available and the front desk was often unattended. The room also had issues — there were two TVs with no remotes, and the bathroom had visible mold, which is unacceptable.

I even reached out to corporate customer service, hoping the situation would be addressed, but unfortunately the response showed very little concern for the experience I had.

Guests deserve transparency. If a property is under major renovation, that should be clearly communicated before booking, not discovered after arrival.

Very disappointing experience overall.

- gave me a smaller room
- insisted that I pay 20 for breakfast even though it was include in my booking on here
- room wasn't clean wrapper found in then sofa bed, mirror was broken on the closet, the doors didn't slide
-Plummer wasn't work had to hold the nob down so the toilet could flush
-main entrance wasn't open due to construction which was not included in the booking
-construction was done all night until 3am which caused us to get no sleep
-someone put gum over our peephole which scared us because we can't see who is as coming to door
- lastly the pool was closed as well which wasn't included in the booking

Please advise the hotel to put under construction on their site, if we have known that we wouldn't have booked

The hotel is going through remodeling so it is a construction zone so not very appealing right now. We were put in one of the older rooms and had to change rooms because none of the TVS were working. The front desk was nice and even allowed us to have a late departure because of the inconvenience.

The hallways were freezing (Airconditioning was on when the temps outside called for heat) and one stairwell (we used because we had a dog) had a heater that was broken and VERY hot entry #4 2nd floor.

The rooms were shabby and in need of repairs. Four of four lamps were unstable and listing. There was blood on curtain. The door between sitting room and bedroom was badly broken; looked like someone had punched through the slats. No linens in the room for the convertible couch; went to lobby to get these. They were in a bag and did not include a fitted sheet. Elevator was dirty. There was not complimentary breakfast, only a $19.99 per person buffet available. Expected much better from a Doubletree property.

Although a longtime Hilton Honors Member - I booked this stay via Expedia in an effort to save some money on the overall rate/stay. This was my first mistake, as I fully understand that properties have certain blocks of rooms that are used for Third Party Reservations such as Expedia...which are \"typically\" not the most update and maintained rooms within the property. This has only proven even more true on this stay.

Just to delineate a few of the concerns with room 320:
Large stains throughout living room carpet.
Many electric sockets in lamps are worn out and do not work.
Tracking for glass closet doors is so rusty that the doors do not open and close without coming off of the tracking.
Shower has moderate amount of mildewed caulking.
Various spots where wallpaper is peeled away due to drywall deteriorating behind it.
Balcony canopy has only metal framing with no canvas covering for shading/shielding from Sun or Rain.
Sleeper Sofa is worse than most/normal sofa beds are generally expected to be.

As a long-time Hilton Diamond Member - having stayed in hundreds of Hilton Properties, including many DoubleTree flagships...I am disappointed with our experience here in Blue Ash/Sharonville.

I responded to the property’s texts asking how my stay was going (both times they sent it) — only to receive no response, either time.

Thanks for hearing me out - as I only share my concerns and experience to assist your property and Hilton in maintaining Hilton’s desired high standards.

Had to change rooms because electrical outlets by bed did not work. Both my wife and I have medical reasons why we need electrical outlets near the bed area. Then when we moved from 203 to 207 the commode would not flush. Being frustrated I called the front desk and was hung up on. The cook, Rafael, came to the room and fixed the commode and apologized for the inconvenience. One more thing that caught my eye was the vent above the shower. It was disgustingly dusty like it hadn’t been cleaned in years.

Worst hotel experience I’ve had so far

The front of the hotel was nice so I was very surprised when I pulled around to the side entrance to take my bags up and there was tree branches all over the parking lot. There was even trees blocking the entrance to the side door, I had to put my stuff down and move them out of the way. Then when I finally got to my room it stunk and there was gnats everywhere. When I went to open my balcony to go sit outside, it was sealed up with plastic and tape, so were my windows so I couldn’t even see outside! None of this was mentioned to me upon check in.
All in all, I ended up leaving early and staying at another hotel.

Very bad service. While I left for the dinner hotel staff collect all my belongings to big plastic bag and placed to reception without my permission and even without informing me. Why? Because my room was booked with someone else. Ok, why you checked me in to this room? When I returned to hotel I was not able to enter to my room and I proceeded to reception where receptionist said that they moved me to another room and brought my belongings in big plastic bag like trash. Terrible!

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, the smell when walking in the building was awful. Like a combo of wet dog and weed. The water constantly dripped all night, the TV didn’t work in the bed room area, the other TV was sitting about 2 feet off the floor. Was hair in bathroom. We asked for a different room they didn’t have one but would try to find us one the next day and didn’t. Never again.

Overpriced, outdated, first floor rooms stink of mold & Marijuana, rooms are run down what you see in the proom photos is definitely not what you get I would venture to say the reason this place stays open is simply due to being a part of the Hilton chain ,and lets not forget the neglected parrot in the front lobby it needs a better home for sure, overall pretty disappointing and i certainly will not stay here again.

Just a little underwhelmed by this particular Hilton DoubleTree location. First strike, no cookie for me at check in :(. Boo. 2nd strike, some very obvious housekeeping blunders such as the sink & shower drains that did not drain properly and the massive cobwebs covering the wall behind the bed. 3rd strike is a tie between the ancient cable TV signal that aired approximately 50% of the channels OR the outdated mini fridge that decided to defrost in the middle of the night, soaking my food/drinks and the \"kitchenette\" floor. Overall, I would consider staying again because the bed and central AC were superb.. but the housekeeping, amenities, and lackluster staff are probably enough to keep me from coming back. But, Georgia (the big blue lobby bird) was cool.

We stayed at a Double Tree in Kansas City a while back and were greeted with warm cookies, immaculate property and room and superb customer service. I assumed we would be greeted in a similar fashion at this Double Tree in Sharonville, Ohio - total opposite occurred. No cookies, property was run down and room was not very clean stains on the bedding, didn’t even feel like we could take our shoes off. Nothing to write home about for sure. I was very disappointed.

The staff here were super nice, but other than that, our stay was terrible. Once we got to our room and pulled out the pullout couch bed there was no bedding on the mattress. The mattress itself was so dirty and had stains, food crumbs and was falling apart. The phone had no numbers on it to get a hold of the front desk so we had to walk downstairs and when I asked if we could get a replacement, we were told unfortunately they had no rooms and couldn’t move us.My kids had to sleep on that bed and we had no other option because it was almost 11 at night. The bathroom was dirty, the paint is peeling from the ceiling in the bathroom. The toilet ran on and off the whole time we were in there and at one point clogged so we had to call somebody to unclog it The lamps in the one room were both leaning and broken. The lamps in the one room were both leaning and broken. It was a very outdated and very dirty room.

I needed a quick place to lay my head at night while I visited friends, and this place definitely fit the bill. The staff was friendly and helpful (It was definitely interesting to walk in to see the front desk guy walking around with a parrot on his shoulder, lol). The room was clean and very spacious. I liked the separate sitting room from the bedroom. The carpet and some of the common areas looked a little old and in need of some renovation, but it wasn't terrible. My biggest complaint was having to pay for breakfast. I didn't think what they offered was worth what they were charging. Overall, it was a great place to stay in a great location.

Hotel: We drove in front out of town. We ordered a room online. Paid for it on line. When we arrived, the computer was down. We had proof of our reservation but the young lady said she couldn’t let us get in the room. We needed to get dressed for an event. Finally we were able to quickly get ready.

Restuarant: we ordered a glass of wine. Wine was flat. We ordered Fanta soda, taste weak. Multiple food items listed on menu were not available. We ordered hamburgers & fries, bang, bang shrimp. hamburgers, fries, bang bang shrimp taste good.

Beds were clean and comfortable.

Hotel has a lot of potential, people were nice.

I checked in at 7pm ish and the 2nd shift Front desk staff (Ava and Shay I believe were thier names) were fantastic. They had to turn people away that had booked rooms already through 3rd parties. They were put in an impossible position and handled it with grace and confidence. I would not want my employer to put me in the impossible position they were in but they handled it PERFECTLY!

My family has stayed at this property for years. This was the first time we had any complaints and felt dissatisfied with any part of our stay. The room was not kept. There were stains everywhere. Paint chips everywhere. A large crack in ceiling above the shower. After bringing in our luggage, went to enjoy cookie, ants were enjoying instead. We had leftovers and I knew ants would get so I took to front desk. I told her about ants. All she said was ew. The toilet ran constantly. The sink dripped continuously. The weed smell in the hall was a bit much. The bathroom light switch got stuck so we could never turn it off. We will never stay here again or recommend to anyone!

Booked my hotel room, called to advise I would be arriving around 11:30pm, arrived at 11:43pm and there were “no rooms available” and “we cannot guarantee a rom booked through a third party- they don’t check with us”. No offer to use the phone or lobby computer to call around or online to find another hotel, no “sorry this happened”, nothing but a blank stare and advised me contact Expedia and not use a third party again. Horrible situation and truly could have been handled so many different ways.

This place is insanely dated. I usually wouldn’t mind it except it’s not clean. The halls smell like sulfur and pot, the room has stains on the wall and the towels have yellow spots. The first room we were given didn’t open so I had to walk back to the desk and instead of updating the keys I got a different room which did not match my reservation (one king and one pullout vs the 2 full and a pullout as paid for) which is frustrating when your reservation is for 6 people. There was no bedding for the pull out couch. The bed had visible dirt on the comforter

We love that this hotel had a balcony. Although it was rainy, it had enough coverage for my husband to smoke from instead of having to go all the way downstairs and to the designated smoking area. The room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The living area was nice and cozy, though the extra chair in front of the door to the balcony is a bit cumbersome. The water in the shower was hot and the pressure was perfect. The woman who checked us in was one of the most friendly staff I've ever encountered at a hotel (we travel frequently). The only downfalls we had.... part of the curtain in the bedroom was off the track (not a huge deal), the bed only had a single fitted sheet on the mattress. I wish they used mattress protectors. The TV didn't have many channels. The sink in the vanity didn't drain well, to the point that we brushed our teeth in the shower. There was a soccer tournament nearby, so there were a ton of kids (probably ages 10 to 12) and they were running all over the hotel and knocking on doors, being VERY loud, though that's on their chaperones, not the hotel. Overall, we would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed the hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast. Everyone there was so nice and friendly and welcoming, except for one front desk agent. I had just been released from the hospital on March 10, 2025 from having knee surgery. I was hobbling on my walker. She had me stand up there at the front desk for a while to do something on her computer. I was the only customer there. Then she gave me a room far away from the elevator. I couldn’t walk that far, so I requested that she change the room to one closer to the elevator. She just seemed nonchalant or callous. She was not observant of the customer’s needs. Meanwhile I was struggling to walk with my walker. How could she not notice? Anyway, other than that young lady, every employee there was very professional and welcoming, especially the waitress at the breakfast buffet!

Room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfy. There was no bedding for the pullout sofa... request for bedding was not received.

The hotel was booked with a conference and was not staffed to accommodate the bookings.

However, the cookies were warm, easy check in and check out process.

I would stay here again.
