The gym needs to be repaired. The breakfast could have more variations. Some staff is friendly and very helpful. Big apartment with a nice balcony, equipped with almost everything you need at the open kitchen.

Christina at front desk knows English that really help. The room is clean and have clean towels everyday. Just the breakfast are a bit short. Same thing everyday. No fresh coffees, instant coffee package without milk, sandwiches without butter.

Poor management and service.

Full breakfast was promised but continental was provided with same ham and cheese for ten days of my stay at this hotel. Full gym was promised but gym was dirty and unusable. It is time to provide new bath room towels. Bathroom towels were worn out and dirty. I have booked this place month in advance but when I arrived service desk do not have my information and I waited in the dirty waiting area for half an hour after 5 pm to get room.
When I got room it was two single bed and I requested double bed. After one day after I complained they arraigned to double bed. It was nightmare for me to stay in this hotel stay and I never advise anybody.

I liked the cleaning ladies and reception ladies customer service.
I didn't like the size of the room and bathroom too small, the lights of the corridor were flickering all the time. the pool didn't have any chairs or towels and it was freezing water. but the worse was the parking, it was very dark and you have to wait until the receptionist decides to look at the monitor and see you waiting there to open the garage door, it was not automatic the same to get in you have to get out of the car and ring a bell to talk with the receptionist to ask to open the garage door. I will not use this place again.

Lookout this is an APART-HOTEL

Remember you are in a walking distance from everything important especially if you are on business. Costanera center provides ironing and laundry services, an exchange service and so much more. Unfortunately the hotel name is misleading, you do not know in advance this is an apart hotel. you should demand from the owners to declare it as an apart-hotel on its title.
If you do not MUST, DO NOT PAY FOR ITS BREAKFAST, it is not worth the money. This hotel has basic necessities kitchen so just buy yourself your preferred breakfast and hold it in the fridge, you can also use the electrical stove and much more.

Decent apart hotel from an overall perspective. Room was a little dusty and A/C (heater) was too small for the room. Fitness facility is in terrible condition. I also found out the Hotel does not have a single Iron for clothing. Lots of room for improvements.

Providencia a great location; cafes, shops, public transportation (metro) close by. WIFI connection could be stronger; Only instant coffee in the breakfast basket. With a full kitchen, would have preferred the real thing! Friendly staff. Very pleasant overall. Would stay again

Uncomfortable stay

No one alert us about the parking conditions (not even Expedia), so when we arrived to Santiago, we didn’t have the parking lot assigned and we had to move to another place and pay for it.
The WiFi do sucks: after two days mal functioning and because all the complaints the concierge sent someone to the room.
Also, the building has not sound proof system, so you will hear everything from the outside.
I have to make an exception on the clean condition of the room.

Perfectly located appart hotel in Santiago Chile

This was my third visit to the RQ Providencia Suites in Santiago Chile.
It is located in the Providencia neighborhood, within steps of the Los Leones metro stop.
This means that you can easily get anywhere in Santiago in a few minutes using the metro.

The neighborhood is nice with plenty of shops and convenience stores nearby.

The hotel staff is super attentive and the rooms are very nice and clean.

The combination of cost, location and service makes this, to me, an unbeatable proposition in Santiago de Chile. I would recommend it to friends and I will certainly return to this hotel if I get the chance.

great imagination the way the room was done. Whatever a person needs it was there. I like the way the electrical system work in the room. You must leave your room's key in a especial place and.when you leave the room you must take the key with you and the lights are turned off. fantastic no waste of electricity there. The staff was good, specially Prescila who was very helpful.

Great having air conditioning in a middle of summer. Tidy apartment style room. Easy access to local shops and transport. Staff only speak Spanish but we're still easy to communicate with. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful and of high quality.

Great room and view with the price paid - worth it

We were able to check in early and was glad that RQ Providencia is able to fulfill all my requests of getting a high floor room and facing the Andes Mountain. Nonetheless, check in was a smooth one. We like the room in RQ Providencia as it have a small kitchen - breakfast were served in your room, a living area with a dining table, sofa (very very soft sofa) and a bar table, the room was just nice for 2 twin beds and a slightly smaller size toilet. Overall it was neat and clean. We enjoyed our 1 night stay in RQ Providencia & it was not enough. Hotel amenities were sufficient. Hotel location is near a street which have shopping, food & beer which were opened till quite late. It is accessible to anywhere in the Providencia area & is within walking distance. Will recommend it to anyone who wish to visit Santiago.

Great place and great location. However, like any developing country I caution that you have to be cautious of the neighborhood. There was a robbery in a building right across from the street. It was late in the night. Lots of places to eat and close to some of the offices in case you are going for work.

Breakfast for 2: 4 slices bread (no toaster); 2 slices ham; 2 slices cheese; one (1) bowl cereal; 2 boxes milk; 2 apples; 2 yogurt; 2 juice boxes.

No lobby, so no chairs and no toilet. My Spanish is less than rudimentary. Staff: few English speaking staff who have little interest in learning English. I must assume no interest in encouraging English speaking tourists.

As others said they didn't want to call TransVIP - had their 'own' taxi driver. Quoted 20K pesos in front of my friend, myself, and 2 staff. Got to airport suddenly it became 25K! Scam!

Extremelly noisy at night, both from people on street as well as from cars in the main road... you can hardly sleep.

In from of my room, very close, another building... no view at all other than people in their rooms/apartments.

RQ staff well organized.

The breakfast method after a couple of days gets very boring... always the same cereal and bread....

Famous hotel

It's a nice and famous hotel that you won't worry about the taxi driver has no idea of its position, it's just at the center of downtown, the highest tower in Latin America is just before your windows and the Andes Mountain as the backgroud will be inside your view.

Very nice room, no English.

Very nice room. The receptionist at night did not speak any English, so could not answer any questions about tours. The receptionist during the day had to phone someone else to translate for me on the phone when I wanted to get a taxi. Is there room itself is very nice, it's basically a suite. The air conditioning was not working in my room.

Practical and well located.

The apart-hotel is very well located, just one block from two metro stations (Pedro Valdivia and Leon). Complimentary breakfast is placed on a tray the night before with 4 slices of bread, 2 fruits (either banana, apple, orange), milk and juice in individual long life cartons, marmalade, butter and two cakes. Toilet and kitchen are well cleaned daily, but there were quite an amount of dust below the bed. There is no towel nor soap or sponge for us to wash the dishes. A/C and fridge were quiet, which was great. The beds are set-ut with just one pillow (high foam pillow) and we only got an extra one after asking the cleaning lady, since we were not successful asking twice in the front desk (so here is a tip). Rooms with final 1,2 and 3 are quite silent and the poor glazing does not play a role in this room. View from Santiago from the roof is very nice.

The bedroom area was quite small but worked Ok since we had the living area. The breakfast tray was brought the afternoon before so we could use it forbreakfast in bed since oneof us didn't feel well or a light late snack. They arranged vor a taxi to meet us at the airport with a sign. Very helpful.

Great Location, Terrible Customer Service

we were highly disappointed in our stay at RQ Providencia Suites. this was only due to the poor customer service, in all our years of traveling, my husband and i have never encounted such bad service. we arrived at 7am, asked if we could check-in early (check-in time is 3pm), they said we'd have to pay half the room rate of $70, which we were perfectly happy to do. The man at reception then changed this to the full room rate, if we had arrived at 2/3am in the morning i would understand this but it was 7am and the room was ready. we paid it nonetheless as we had just flown overnight & wanted to sleep. they said we could speak to the manager to discuss this when he got in at 8.30am, we weren't overly keen on standing at the reception desk for 1.5hrs to wait until he got in. we tried at least 3 times to speak to the manager with no luck. we asked if they could get him to come & see us in our room or phone us, one staff member then said they didn't have a manager, then someone else said he doesn't phone or go to peoples room. rather odd & unprofessional for a hotel manager. the location of this hotel/serviced-apartment is good, breakfast was delivered daily however they are really the only positives we could find.

Nice apart/hotel in the centre of Provedencia

Comfortable hotel and clean with nice furniture. Some rooms have better furniture than others I've noticed. Good wifi. I stayed on the 4th floor and after a couple of days changed to the 7th floor due to the noise and wifi worked great both times.
Perfect for longer stays. I stayed for 2 weeks. Equipped with a safe, small kitchenette with a few utensils. Not ideal for major cooking, only simple meals.
Breakfast is delivered to your room the evening before.
The reception staff were really nice and helpful! Their English is ok and they can understand easy not complicated sentences. They did a lot of restaurant reservations for me, were very helpful when I asked them to change my room and booked me a taxi a couple of times when I got to the airport and was travelling to the south.
The hotel gets a fixed rate with the taxis so must book with them. Better than hailing one in the street.
After my return I received an email from the reception telling me that I forgot a neclasse in the safe. I was really impressed with their honesty. They will keep it safe till my son goes and collects it.

Clean hotel located in a lively part of Santiago.

The RQ Providencia Suites fill rooms in a large multi-floor apartment building. The entry has a security guard with multiple cameras that provides some level of security and peace of mind. The elevators almost always included building residence, which provided yet a further feeling of security. The room was always clean, a simple, but filling breakfast was included. Wireless worked every time without fail. The small kitchenette was handy. While the hotel is situated on one of the main boulevards with the main shopping district on a short walk away, a short walk perpendicular to the main boulevard and you find yourself in quaint sidewalk cafes and restaurants with fantastic service, wonderful waitstaff, and great wine and food. About the only thing I can say on the negative side would be the lack of bottled water in the room.

A bit odd the entry as the guard can be rude asking where are you going. The apartment is good, the breakfast a bit odd but ok. They left on your fridge ham and cheese and some bread and juices as well as a piece of fruit and yogurt. Besides that is a very good hotel for the price.

Excellent Providencia accommodation.

The apartments are very centrally located in the suburb of Providencia. The staff were especially attentive and efficient, and spoke more than enough English to make this an easy experience - special mention to Jessica and Andrea on the front desk. They were happy to store bags after check out. The only minor drawback was an ineffectual air con system.

The hotel was located in a good quiet area of the city, with good transport facilities. the rooms are very big with a nice open plan kitchen where there is a comfy sitting area and (at least mine) had also balcony. Really cannot complain about anything, specially for such a good price. there are also a few places to eat around, nothing specially fancy but still very convenient. I would recommend.

I am visiting Chile and don't speak much Spanish… It would be nice to at least have one person there that could speak a little English or at least not sound completely annoyed with my attempts to speak Spanish. I put the sign on the door that sound don't clean and they would come clean anyway. My stuff would be moved around and a few things they thought were trash but weren't trash at all got thrown away. The room itself was very nice and the clean and modern but the employees need some improvement.

They do not offer partial fares. Flights to USA usually leave late at night. In most hotels they allow you to have a late check-out for half the rate.
They serve the breakfast in the room, but mine never arrived. A lady came by recovering the trays and she said she will get it for me, nothing happened. When I complained in the reception during check-out, they offered to give me the breakfast \"tomorrow\" (They will serve a breakfast every day anyways, it's included in the fare). And they knew I was checking out.

Customer Service Much Improved Since My Last Visit

I had to arrive very early in the morning (4 a.m.) in this trip, as in the last one , but this time they had my room ready and checked me into the hotel in three minutes so I could get a few hours sleep before my first meeting. The apartments are clean and well-furnished with towels, cups, glasses ( though a wine glass would have been nice), and it was comfortable to work there. Like most places in South America, they need more electric outlets so that one does not have to have devices scattered in every room for recharging purposes. I blew the breaker when I tried to plug both my laptop and my blackberry into the same outlet, but they solved it quickly. A thumbs up on this well-located business hotel.

A clean boutique hotel for business or tourists

The location is excellent, it is in the new modern area. Traffic is convenient, restaurants, shopping malls, subway are all in the walking distance. One 24 hour McDonald is in the area, only a few steps away. One Sushi restaurant in just across from the door. The area is very safe, you do not have to worry about anything. People are friendly but if you just know a few words or nothing about Spanish, you still can do body language to get by like me. The hotel is an Apartment with a security monitoring guy on the ground floor. Breakfast is delivered to your room. The quality of breakfast is very nice - milk, cereal, fruit, juice, bread, butter, jam, nice slice of cheese and ham. The Chilean agricultural products are in top quality, you do not have to worry about it. Walking distance to a large grocery store - Saint Isabel. A Chinese restaurant is nearby, the price is very affordable for a set course with beer or coke.

Traveled to Santiago with a coworker for business.
Pros on this hotel:
.Near dozens of places to eat and shopping malls, all within walking distance.
.Pleasant surprise was the breakfast served in the room every morning (served at your pre arranged time) included with the price.
.Transportation: easy to get taxi cabs and close to subway station.
.Reasonable cost for the area (Providencia).
.Storage room availability to leave bags after checking out for later retrieval.

Cons:
.Noisy at night (late hours).
.Shower head broken in my room.
.Couple of room lamps with broken light bulbs.
.No phone in the room (only a building intercom).
.Broken tv remote.
.No businesss center to work in.
.No hotel Wifi available on the 12th floor (available on lower floors though).
.Hotel seems to be in part a condo with regular tenants and therefore many people (tenants and visitors with pets too) walking in and out at all times of the day.

Major safety problem: One night my coworker retired to her room on the 2nd floor , went to bed at around 1 am only to be disturbed later on by a guy actually entering her room!!!! The hotel staff overlooked the fact that the room was still occupied by my coworker and gave the key to another person checking in! I mean, the huge hole they have on what ever system they may have to check whether a room is available or not is undesirable. A major safety concern. After complaining the next morning, they did apologize without offering any sort of compensation.

Loved RQ Providencia!

We loved our room and the services. The breakfast buffet that was advertised on Expedia was actually breakfast delivered to our room every morning on a tray. They later returned and picked up the dishes. The room was cleaned everyday and supplied with new linens and towels.
Another thing we liked is the apartment building is located on the main L1 line of the Metro, so it was easy to access everything in the city including the bus and train stations.
They also stored our luggage until check in and after check out so we could explore the city from our arrival to departure.

More than just a room...

The hotel was a comfortable and welcome stay after camping and hostelling in southern Patagonia. We had a separate lounge/dining/kitchenette off the twin bedroom, both areas small but not cramped and with tasteful decor. Modern bathroom with bath. The entrance was unlike a hotel - just a small lobby in an office type building but there was a gym and a lap pool, and the staff were pleasant and as helpful as they could be with their limited English! An ample breakfast was delivered to the room. The location was pleasant in a kind of mall with cafes just outside, metro a block away (3 or 4 stops to the city centre) and shops nearby. The only improvement I would suggest would be provision of basics such as tea, coffee, milk, sugar, salt.

Good location in Providencia, but erratic service from reception desk and poor internet connection on the 4th floor was a major problem. While this problem was mentioned several times to front desk they did practically nothing to resolve the problem. They do have a small work out facility on the first floor but it is not heated and can be quite cool for early morning workouts. While breakfast was included, and delivered to ea. room (mostly) on time, it consisted of sugary cereal, slice of cheese and lunch meat, instant coffee with toast (cold most mornings) sliced fruit and pastry.
I will most probably not return to this property again.

Localização Perfeita!

Minha estádia foi ótima! O apartamento é equipado com itens de cozinha, e é bem confortável. Café da manhã é muito bom e o atendimento da recepção é ótimo. Sobre a localização, é perfeita (bares, restaurantes, lojas, fast-food, e a 3 quadras do Costanera Shopping.

Roubo na sala de café do hotel

A localização é perfeita, local para comer e compras de forma pratica. Mas, tivemos uma situação muito desagradável onde uma de nossas mochilas foi furtada dentro do local de café do hotel. Eles fazem um controle, onde temos que dizer de qual quarto somos, mas, uma mulher adentrou e furtou uma mochila nossa com coisas pessoais. Questionamos a recepção, e não souberam nos dizer como a pessoa entrou no local de café, como também foram poucos solícitos com a situação, deixando perceber que esta situação ja ocorreu antes, como relatado por uma pessoa que la trabalha. Saímos de la com o sentimento de insegurança com as áreas do Hotel.

Foi muito boa a estadia, apartamento de 3 quartos e dois banheiros muito confortáveis e utensílios domésticos bem limpos.
O hotel encontra-se em um calçadão, o que dificulta o transporte das maletas e não possuem serviço de apoio ao hóspede.
Os corredores e vidraças parecem que possuem anos sem limpeza.
O café da manhã é muito bom.
De modo geral a estadia foi boa e fez falta a Tv na sala.

La ubicacion del establecimiento es perfecta para mi. La atencion es amable y atenta. Siempre limpio todo y mucha cordialidad en el trato. Es la 4ta vez que me hospedo con ellos asi que creo que eso dice todo.
Lo unico que me llamo la atencion esta vez es que pedi si podia hacer un late check out si no habia nadie esperando para entrar en la habitacion. Y salir a las 12:30 o las 13 en lugar de las 12. Me confirmaron que no habia nadie esperando pero me dijeron que el late checkout esta disponible como opcion saliendo a las 16 pero que se cobra media estadia por hacer el late checkout. Esto me parecio excesivo pero igualmente volveria al hotel. En otras ocasiones nos dejaron salir a las 13 ya que no habia gente esperando.

Amei a estadia!
Desde o momento da chegada até o check-out!
Cama e travesseiros super confortáveis! Cozinha excelente.
Só tenho de crítica o café da manhã que é bem repetitivo e o box do toillete que por ser banheira fica uma parte aberta do vidro e molha tudo.
Mas com certeza me hospedaria novamente!!

Cartão Clonado na recepção do hotel

Tive meu cartão clonado no hotel. Cheguei no Chile as 3 da madrugada e me dirigi direto para o hotel em um transfer que já me aguardava e paguei em dinheiro (real). Como cheguei antes do previsto no hotel e a entrada era apenas as 15h. Ficaria muito tempo aguardando com malas e cansado da viagem. Tentei negociar para entrar mais cedo sem sucesso e decidi realizar a reserva de mais uma diária para entrar imediatamente. O recepcionista do hotel informou que eu não poderia realizar a reserva pela internet como fiz os demais dias, e que teria que fazer ali com ele na hora e pagar naquele momento. Assim o fiz. Como eu nao tinha trocado real por peso e as 4 da manha estava tudo fechado, optei pela unica solução que me restava que era utilizar o cartao de credito que tinha levado apenas para emergencias. Assim passei no cartao o valor de 64,60 dolares. Após isso, subi para o quarto e fui dormir. Acordei as 11:30 e logo depois quando ainda estava na cama, por volta de 12:00 recebi um sms do meu banco informando uma compra de 1191,62 no Centro Bellas Art (pelo que pesquisei seria no centro de Santiago). O cartao não saiu da minha carteira em nenhum momento..somente quando paguei no hotel. Apos o ocorrido me dei conta que o atendente ao passar o cartao, tentou passar por leitura a distancia, depois deu aquela passada lateral, e por ultimo inseriu na parte de baixo como mais comumente é feito. Alem disso vi que tem uma camera exatamente por tras do cliente no balcao. Só pode ter sido lá

Apart-Hotel com localização perfeita e serviços

O RQ Providencia foi um grande acerto em nossa primeira viagem a Santiago do Chile. Explico abaixo.

Trata-se de um apart-hotel que oferece café da manhã gratuito, no quarto. A cozinha é bem mobiliada, composta de um cooktop elétrico, forno e geladeira.

Além disso, o RQ Providencia deixa a disposição todos os itens básicos para cozinhar (tábua, faca, talheres, louças, copos e taças de vinho).

O café da manhã, infelizmente, não é variado. Pão de forma, frios, salada de frutas, iogurte com sucrilhos, café, chá e sucos.
A vantagem é que pudemos levar conosco durante os passeios, sempre que a fome batia.

Também gostamos da cama, confortável e com bons cobertores. Banheiro limpo, com secador e banheira.

Internet de alta velocidade no quarto e no saguão. Sinal de WiFi muito bom, melhor do que outros hotéis que fiquei hospedado.

A localização também é privilegiada. O hotel dispõe de um McDonald's, Popeye (fast-food), um bar alemão muito bom, dois restaurantes japoneses, agência do Itaú e Santander, restaurante Mamut (sensacional, estilo Outback, fomos 3 vezes!) e supermercado. Tudo isso EM FRENTE.

Duas ou três quadras adiante, temos a estação Los Leones, que faz ligação com a Linha 1 e 6 do metrô. E o transporte público deles não tem palavras: perfeito e pontual.

Resumo: vale muito a pena se hospedar no RQ Providencia, pelo custo-benefício e praticidade. Altamente recomendável!

O RQ Providencia surpreendeu, foi um ótimo custo beneficio. Hotel e quartos limpos, equipe atenciosa, quarto bem arrumado todos os dias, um bom café da manhã (que é entregue na tarde anterior) e uma cozinha completa com microondas, forno, cooktop, frigobar, torradeira, pratos, talheres, copos, taças, abridor de vinho, panelas, etc.
É perto da estação de metrô Pedro de Valdivia, com vários restaurantes e mercados próximos.
Os apartamentos da lateral tem sacada no quarto e na sala. A TV é só no quarto e o ar condicionado só na sala, mas atende bem todo o apartamento.
O único ponto negativo vai para o banheiro, que apesar de ser grande e bem limpo, tem um secador muito fraco, a banheira é muito alta e muito lisa, sendo fácil escorregar e o chuveiro que variava muito a temperatura.

Atrapalhados com o café da manhã

São muito desorganizados com o café da manhã (e o café é bem fraco) fiquei 3 noites, e tivemos problema em 2. Em uma eles esqueceram de colocar a cesta de café da manhã na geladeira, quando desci na recepção pra pedir, a recepcionista foi extremamente grosseira e disse que haviam colocado sim, que no controle deles estava como ok, bem desconfiada ela subiu no quarto pra ter certeza e aí sim nos entregou a cesta. No outro dia colocaram café apenas pra uma pessoa, depois de ligar 4 vezes pra pedir, tive que descer na recepção e pedir ( pela 5º vez), aí logo em seguida o recepcionista nos entregou ( tive até vontade de rir) uma laranja (oi?), um suco, um saquinho com cereal, uma barra de cereal e um iogurte. O chuveiro fica 2 segundos frio, 2 segundos quente e 2 segundos morno, não tem meio termo. E a internet no 8 andar não funciona.

Cama extremamente mole.
Cozinha com poucos utensílios caso se queira usá-la. (Tivemos que comprar uma esponja, detergente e pano ). Banheiro sem local para pendurar toalha de mão e colocar os itens de banho.

Adorei o quarto e todo o hotel. Perto do metro, ponto de bus e muita opção de restaurante perto. Supermecados tambem. Muito boa a estadia, voltaria com certeza.

Ponto negativo: o chuveiro que nao era muito bom é o Ar nao gelava muito,mas tambem nem usavamos todo dia, so liguei 2 vezes nos 6 dias que fiquei.
