La habitación es pequeña pero cómoda.
La propiedad está en una zona agradable a pasos de un centro comercial.
La piscina en el último piso ofrece una buena opción para relajarse.
El personal fue amable.
El desayuno variado.

Hugo en recepción es el mejor, excelente servicio. Las instalaciones son un poco antiguas. El aire acondicionado no funciona. La habitación se pone muy caliente, es mejor abrir la ventana. El desayuno no es muy bueno y todos los días sirven lo mismo. No varia. Ubicación es excelente, zona segura, restaurantes y tiendas muy cerca.

A repeat visit to a charming hotel

A repeat visit to our favourite hotel in Santiago. It has charm and friendliness and is in a safe part of the city within walking distance of numerous cafes and restaurants. Also the riverside sculpture park is an easy walk. The hotel has an extensive breakfast selection with an early start if required.

Creo que nunca elegi un hotel tan mal, la atencion para ser educado voy a decir que era \"poco calida\", la habitacion con paredes con humedad, el gel de ducha era shampoo aguado, el lector de tarjeta para entrar a la habitacion falla todo el tiempo.. pero lo peor de todo, el WIFI era inexistente... otros detalles el desayuno era desolador!!!
Claramente no lo recomiendo ni volveria.. una lastima porque tiene una excelente ubicacion.

Welcomed like friends

This was our fifth stay and from the moment we walked through the doors we were welcomed like returning friends. Thank you Snr. Hugo. Nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is within walking distance of good restaurants, fine shopping and the sculpture park. Open-top tour busses stop round the corner on their circular city tour. It also has a small, but sufficient, rooftop swimming pool with views across the city to the Andes. Good choice of breakfast with fruit and pastries. The bar has a small outside terrace also.
Also good to see the same staff year after year.
Hope to return in not too many years.

Property is in a convenient location. It is run down and in need of renovation. Staff seemed disinterested and one an older man when we asked a question about Xmas concerts in Santiago rudely said there are none. In other words don’t bother me!! There is no controller for air conditioning in the room. It was in the 90F when we were there! The A/C seemed inadequate. I think for the price there are better hotels in Santiago.

We booked one night on our own and then met our tour group the next day and night. The front desk allowed us to keep the same

A helpful staff is better than the decor

We had some difficulties in meeting up with our group tour. Luckily, Javiera at the reception helped us solve the problems by making many phone calls and checking on the computer. We appreciated her passion in helping clients and her high problem solving skills. I hope all receptionists would have an attitude like her to make the stay of visitors an unforgettable memory.

Hotel is in a very good neighborhood, great shopping, restaurants and supermarket. Rooms are small and a bit dated,service is good breakfast is ok. Second time I stay here and probably would stay again, it is affordable and the location is ideal.

Disappointed and unfriendly front desk staff

We were quite disappointed with this hotel. First off the front desk service was cold and unfriendly. The man at the front desk did not smile once or greet us at all when we first arrived. He did not go through the amenities of the hotel or even let us know we had a complimentary drink ticket. There was no explanation of attractions or things to do around the area. We had to ask him for a map, which he just handed us with no explanation of where even the hotel was on the map. The only service staff that we did like were the housekeepers. They were quite friendly and helpful, especially with helping us unlock/lock our door with the malfunctioned key cards that we were given. The hotel itself is very outdated and the bed very uncomfortable (feeling the springs throughout the night). The buffet breakfast in the morning had the basics but wasn't the best. Overall we were quite disappointed with the hotel, especially considering the cost of each night.

The Torremayor is around the corner from a Hop On Hop Off stop. It is several blocks from the sculpture park and walking distance to a wide range of restaurants. It is not clise to night life if that's what you're after.

We stayed here on the last night of our 3 week vacation in S America. Granted, most of our stay was in budget accoms. gut this was positively luxurious and a great way to end our trip!

Pleasant stay close to metro stop

Had a wonderful stay here. Easy walking to Los Leones metro station and av providencia for eating and shopping at Mall Costanera Center. Staff very friendy and helpful with excellent english. Would stay here again. Buffet breakfast included, basic but good. My only issue was no master control over the air conditioning in the room.

CONVENIENT HOTEL RELATIVELY QUIET AREA

The hotel is beginning to look a bit tired. I had stayed here a couple of times over the past decade. It is beginning to need a bit of remodeling.

Generally the stay was fine. The only comments are that the front desk staff can be a bit officious, performing their tasks in a way that suggests they were doing you a favor, not treating you always as a paying guest.

The room service card for breakfast was left on the door, but never picked up.

The maid for my room/floor was excellent… diligently doing her job in a responsive and pleasant manner.

Great location, great price, great hotel!

I am a former resident of Santiago and chose the Torremayor for a brief visit in February. I must say that the hotel met or exceeded my expectations at every turn. The location is ideal: close enough to the Providencia/11 de septiembre main streets to be centrally located, but far enough from them to avoid the traffic noise. There are two mini-markets (Big Johns) and one full-sized supermarket (Lider) within two blocks of the hotel, so you can stock up on food and beverage if you wish, and there is a mini fridge in the room. The room itself was quite large, clean and modern, as was the bathroom, which had a full range of quality toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. There was a safe for valuables. Wi Fi was free in the room with a code given by the front desk. (although the amenities guide in the room incorrectly says it must be paid for). One thing lacking in the room was an alarm clock, but that is almost too minor to mention. The pool area on the 6th floor was fairly roomy and attractive, with a view of the surrounding city and the Andes in the distance. Service from all staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, was pleasant, prompt, helpful and professional. Most staff seemed conversant in English for those without a good grasp of Spanish. I can't think of anything negative to say about my stay; bien hecho Hotel Torremayor!

Very nice, clean, right size, nice building, very comfortable and,superbly located Hotel.
Friendly staff, good breakfast.and very nice facilities. It is located in one of the nicest area of Santiago in Providencia , a couple of blocks from the metro.With many nice shopping areas and restaurants.
The Costanera Center a magnificent modern building, the tallest in South America is at walking distance, It is a definitely must see with a great shopping area in 3 floors and very nice restaurants in the Food Ct.
All in all the Hotel Torremayor is a a highly recommendable hotel for everybody.

Well located in Downtown area.

We arrived at 2:30 AM due to airport delays and the Receptionist was asleep and we had to bang on the door to wake him up. He told us we don't have reservations so I had to give him copies of Reservations Confirmation and he spoke very little English. Very old hotel and someone from your office has to check it out before approving it. We had to pay for WiFi and it was very bad reception. I spoke to the Manager he was very nice but because it is an Old Hotel and no renovations made makes it very unbearable. Bathroom was very small.

Nice hotel, not expensive, great part of city

Nice hotel in a great area. We were able to walk from our hotel to explore some interesting areas of Santiago. We walked to the Metropolitan Park from there, as well as a new shopping center that had some fantastic dining options. There were many other stores, cafes, restaurants, and ars within walking distance. We never felt unsafe in the area. The hotel was pretty nice, though you can tell it has some years on it. Free breakfast buffet included and there is a pool on the rooftop. We were only able to spend one night in Santiago, and we wre pleased with our hotel choice while we were there.

WIFI Internet needs to be Improved

Hotel location is good in Providencia where everything is available nearby. Hotel is clean and maintained well expect one thing i.e. Wifi Internet. I paid $11 for the usage of 24hrs WIFI Internet in my room for which Hotel charges extra. Internet speed is not good for business traveler. It was so-so. Sometimes it works OK and sometimes NO. I also complained it to reception staff but they too helpless in this matter as they have standard answer that they have outsourced it to one company. For me if they can improve wifi Internet in thier hotel then it would like to stay again in this hotel.

the restaurant is of top quality. I ended up having dinner every night there.
the internet (wi fi) is not that good, but I don't think it's the hotel's fault.
the pool is very clean and it's very pleasant to spend some time in that area.

Offers great value for your money. The hotel is very comfortable, seems to be new, and while located in a quiet street, is very close to metro station/buses/shops/restaurants around Av. Providencia. Pool in the rooftop was a nice touch, altough a bit on the small side. Had lunch at the restaurant one day and food was very good, desserts not so much.

The hotel was just about what I expected for the price I paid. Generally, costs are high in Santiago, and this was about mid-range from my perspective. I stayed four days. The hotel was clean. The maid service was excellent. I liked the ambiance of the dining room where I ate breakfast from the buffet each morning. The quality of the breakfast food was about average. I also had dinner once, and the food was good. The location is excellent for persons who want to see Santiago. It is very close to the Los Leones metro station and some nice restaurants.

Enjoyed my stay. Excellent property. Suite was roomy, clean and nicely appointed. Location is great. Less than 2 blocks to metro station and retail stores. Roof top pool although small was a nice place to relax. Breakfast was great with wonderful fresh fruits and tasty cafe au lait. Would recommend highly.

I enjoyed the stay, but thought the rooms were a little on the small side. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly but seem to be hampered by an antiquated computer system as checking in/out is slow. Breakfast is good. There are two computers for public use just off the restaurant but you have to pay for in-room wi-fi by buying 1,3 or 24 hour access cards. Wi fi was fast and stable.The hotel is walking distance to one of the main streets with plenty of restaurants, banks and change bureaus. It is in a very safe area.

Excellent room/bathroom size. Clean and cozy. I was not lucky enough to have the heat working, so I had a cold room due the freeze temperature of 6 degrees at night on April. The hotel receptionist was advised about it but did not solve the problem. I stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast should be way much better. Slow reposition of hot milk and not much bread options. Juices are not good. No liquid Yougurt. Internet card is quite expensive. Should be for free. Excelent neighborhood. Close to the subway. Overall experience was good.

A let down.

The hotel pick-up from airport never arrived to collect us (4 people), despite us confirming the booking with the hotel a week beforehand. The reception/lobby staff could not have cared less about us spending over an hour at the airport and then having to arrange our own transport. We booked a non-smoking room but were initially offered a room which reeked with stale cigarette/cigar smoke - we requested another room. The room we were then offered had a dirty floor. On the second day cleaning staff took our hand towel and floor mat but did not replace them until late evening. On the positive side, the dining/kitchen staff were very good and the selection for breakfast was great.

Torremayor is in a great central location

Stayed at the Torremayor for one night returning from Mendoza to catch a flight from Santiago Airport. Well maintained hotel, small elevators and smaller rooms but not cramped. Staff were great, spoke English and were very helpful. Rooms were advertised with having wifi access, but you actually have to buy a card at the front desk which is inexpensive but is a little hassle and who likes surprises. Hotel is starting to get a little dated on the inside but still very comfortable and clean.
Breakfast is very good and the rooftop pool gives you a great view of the downtown and very clean and safe neighbourhood. Lots's of restaurants and shopping close by. For what we wanted this was perfect and priced very well. We definetly would go back. 5 minutes from Costanestro Norte and 20 minutes from Santiago Airport.

Torremayor - an oassis in Santiago

A nice hotel in a good location. We arrived off the plane from London and were made to feel really welcome. Our room wasn't ready (10.00am) but they bustled around and in 15 minutes had it all sorted.

Our room was lovely and light and very comfortable (although the bathroom was a bit small) and the bed was excellent.

Breakfasts were good as well.

The centre of Santiago isn't that amazing but the location of the Torremayor slightly outside the centre is great - leafy streets and close to shops and restaurants and close to a Metro station.

Overall - GOOD, Internet access - Terrible

The hotel is in a good location and has a good ambience. Breakfast was good and the rooms was well maintained. [Don't look for towels around lunch time, they clear them and wash and bring them back after 3pm]. Hotel is reasonably kept, but, there is room for modernization. Staff is reasonably helpful, considering the English language barrier. One of the most annoying part is the internet access. Hotel needs to change the internet provider [VTR] or needs to improve it. There is no Ethernet to rooms, so only access is via Wi-fi [costs US$5/2hours]. I was unable to connect(5 days), when connected either it was slow or disconnected frequently. Hope the management doesn't take this as a criticism, but, must realize that in this day and age business travellers like me need reliable and fast internet access [I had to run across and beg with Santiago Park Plaza to give me some access (they were kind enough to give 30min free access, which I was able to use from Torremayor Hotel)]. Overall, I will stay at Torremayor Hotel again, provided the internet situation is corrected.

A hidden gem

The Torremayor made our stay in Santiago very pleasurable. We had a great room with a modern bathroom and plenty of space. The breakfasts were very good and the pool area on the roof was a great place to relax. The shops and cafes were within easy walking distance. The street is a tree lined avenue which enhanced an elegant feel to the entrance of the hotel. We wanted to stay a third night but the hotel was already booked out which was our loss.

Hotel Torremayor - upscale shopping district

We were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgraded room to the Superior suite. After having searched the discount hotel sites, Hotels.com didn't disappoint. We had helpful service from the reception staff, a welcome drink, free internet and cabs arranged. Only problem was in the transfer to the airport - the price was miscommunicated, and the cab driver was mad.

the hotel is very good. the bedroom is not so big, but it is confortable. It is nearby everything. If i had another chance to visit santiago, likely i would stay in Torremayor hotel.

Near everything!

This hotel is very convenient since you can find everything you want or need at walking distance. And if you need to go somewhere the subway is just one block away, and this city has a great subway system. But most of all if you are someone who enjoys a walk this is a great, convenient place to stay!

Nice Hotel

My husband and I stayed for two nights in April 2009. Nice lobby, nice room, good breakfast,
good location and close to the subway which was easy to navigate. Starbuck's a block away
but the coffee at the hotel was good. The street was quiet, but a main road is a block away.
We felt safe walking at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Quarto de bom tamanho e restaurante do hotel com boa comida a preços bons, para padrões do chile. Perto do hotel tinha casa de cãmbio, supercado e acesso ao metrô.

Boa, nao foi melhor que a fechadura eletrônica da porta do nosso quarto estava com defeito e era um transtorno para ter acesso ao quarto mas os funcionários gentilmente sempre estavam a disposição para nos ajudar. Recomendo a troca da fechadura. Solicitamos mas nada foi feito

Im Gang sehr laut! Leider! Gäste aus verschiedenen Zimmern halten sich über Stunden im Gang auf und kommunizieren sehr laut bis spät in die Nacht rein. Anderer asiatischer Gast kommuniziert per Mobiltelefon auch im Gang vor meiner Zimmertüre über eine Stunde mit lauter Stimme! Erst nach eindringlicher Bitte meinerseits beruhigt es sich, um nach einer guten Stunde wieder laut zu werden. Zimmernachbarn kann man nicht azswählen - allerdings könnten Hotelangestellte von Zeit zu Zeit die Gänge inspizieren und für Ruhe und Ordnung zu sorgen. Gehe schon mehrere Jahre in dieses Hotel und hoffe dies bleibt eine Ausnahme.

Hotel excelente, bonito, novo, perto do metrô, várias opções de comércio e bem perto do shopping Costanera. Um parabéns especial para o funcionário Francisco ( Tico ) que nos ajudou muito!!!

部屋のカギが壊れていて、部屋のカギを開けられないのに、ホテルが適切に対応してくれず困りました。レセプションの人は状況を説明してもまともに取り合わず、ただ磁気式のカギの再登録をするだけでラチがあきません。室内には電源プラグが一つもなく照明器具を、抜いて使わないと行けません。エレベーターのボタンも壊れたままにしているし、メンテナンスが全くダメてレセプションの対応も常に悪いしぶっきらぼうです。

Al volver a las 5 de la tarde la habitacion estaba sin hacer, al llamar para representarlo la respuesta fué indiferente y poco amable y hubo que volver a llamar.
