A great hotel for families! Super location with great views (particularly from the comfortable deck), kind and attentive staff, and easy parking. A short walk to a bridge across the River Inn brings one to a nice, small park with an excellent playground situated on the wide-ranging river-walk which offers extensive opportunities for walking, biking, or rollerblading.

The hotel breakfast was a delicious start to a day full of adventure and the excellent Alpenzoo is a short distance away.

The hotel's reception does close at 19:00 but they have a very good setup for late arrivals.

Wonderful hosts and views!

The owners were so accommodating and friendly! They let us use their umbrellas because it was raining the entire day. The breakfast was adequate and there were 12 homemade marmalades! Our room fit 5 easily. We had a waterfall outside our bathroom window and a river and city view out the HUGE front widows. I can't say enough positive things about this place. The outside may look dated, but the inside was nothing but perfect for our one night stay. We would stay here again for sure!

Simply a Gem - Can’t Go Wrong Staying Here

This hotel is picturesque and awesome! It has it all: great, friendly staff, great location, terrific view and cozy accommodations. The gal who checked us in couldn’t have been more helpful or kind. She even walked us to our room and handed us an old fashioned key. The room is small but has everything you need including a comfortable bed and a quiet room. The location is also ideal. We were able to park our rental car and walk into Old Town. It’s even complete with a cute porch looking out to the water. The following morning a gentleman checked us out and he was just as wonderful. What a gem!

We rented a deluxe room and were given a standard room. The room was very small and only had enough room for one chair. There was no cabinet space or closet space available. We have been to 19 countries in 4 continents, and this was the smallest room we have ever been provided.

Turned up 1 hour before check in time hoping we could just park at the hotel and check in later, but the man at reception could not have been more helpful.

He managed to check us in early, and gave us some vouchers to use for the cable car. Really sweet. Room was nice, hotel is 10 minute walk to old town. Even has a waterfall out the back. Great place.

It's a lovely hotel most conveniently located. Breakfast was excellent, totally worth the additional €8.
Only downside was that the wifi didn't work well in the bedroom, and, going down to the lobby area it was rather slow, but that should be a small issue in a mountain town retreat eh?

The front desk receptionists were incredibly helpful and friendly going above and beyond with any questions we had about the area. The breakfast cost extra but it was very much to our liking. It was an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, and churches. We could walk out of the hotel and easily find a hiking trail. We would definitely stay here again.

After a couple days at Oktoberfest, we drove to Innsbruck to see this famous ski town. The hotel is nice and the staff was very friendly. We asked for a room facing the river. Great views of the city of the river. This hotel is not in downtown, you can walk down the street and across a bridge. We drove.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and warm. I had a late arrival, but they left everything for me to check into my room. Breakfast was delicious, and the proprietor spent some time talking with each of the guests. They even gave us some little gifts at checkout to remember the hotel. I felt I got a very good value for the rate I paid. I also enjoy the quiet surroundings. I had stayed at another location earlier in the week while I was in Innsbrook, which was conveniently located but very noisy due to the busy nightlife on the street below my room. At this location I only heard the sound of the nearby river, which was very soothing. If you don't need to be downtown near the shopping in Innsbrook for your stay, this is a great location. However you may need to take transportation or walk quite a distance to get to the shopping area of Old Town from here.

3 Nights in Innsbruck

This hotel was a very good value (in the off season). We got a one of the larger rooms with a balcony and great view of the river. It is on the opposite side of the river as the downtown area but is easy to get to by foot, maybe a 15 minute walk. It is also very close to hiking trails up the mountain. The rooms were clean and the hotel was very quiet. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful in suggesting where to stay. They even let us keep our luggage there well past check out. If you want to check in after 7 when there is no reception, they do a key-under-the-welcome-mat type of thing which isn't the most secure, but it worked for us and another family checking in late. For the price, I would definitely recommend staying here.

We ate at a great Italian restaurant for dinner. Hall in Tirol is a lovely small town and we only wish we had stated an extra night!

The owners of this hotel are very nice and helpful. We had a problem with the room; however, the owners promptly and thoroughly addressed our concerns. I think the staff running this hotel can be trusted. Moreover, the location of the hotel was better than we anticipated. We originally thought the hotel was a bit poorly located. Yet once we got to Innsbruck, we realized that the hotel is located in a beautiful location and right by the river. While it takes 15 minutes to walk to the historical center of Innsbruck, the hotel is still attractively located in a very scenic location.

Wonderful little hotel near Old Town Innsbruck

Situated on the side of the mountains, this quaint little hotel offers your beautiful views of the river that flows throughout the city, as well as the wonderful old town buildings and bridges only minutes away! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The accommodations themselves were lovely - our room had a simple all-white decor with big, bright windows. The only slight downside is if you stay on the river side of the hotel, it is a bit loud - one of the main streets is right outside, but simply closing the windows cancels out a decent bit of the noise! Collectively, it was an absolutely wonderful little spot and we will be back!!

It is no doubt that this is a great hotel with nice staff and riverside view, but in a very attractive price. However the location is really far from city centre and I've spent around 40mins walk (including the time for searching and asking help). Remember that the hotel is located just passed the wooden bridge (not the metal one, the metal one should be the bridge you'll meet after passing Landestheater, then the wood one).

Nice hotel but a bit out of the way

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, and we had booked a room with a double bed. The 'double bed' was in fact two singles pushed together and with separate blankets. Couples beware. Hotel is at least a half hour walk from the main train station. And about the same time to walk to the city centre. Otherwise nice location with views over the river and the mountains. Breakfast over priced for what you get, but you don't have much choice as you are so far away from anywhere else.

Very nice and just what we were looking for

We searched for a hotel with free parking. Hotel Heimgartl is a short walk to a foot-bridge across the river and then a short walk to the old town, and there's a supermarket on the way. It's very near the Hungerburgbahn, the hybrid funicular railway from Innsbruck up into the mountains. It's a small, privately owned hotel in a traditional style, built directly between the mountains and the road along the river, so there are no grounds. It looks recently renovated and is clean and sturdy.

Convenient and free parking

We were very satisfied with our stay because of several reasons. First was free parking, something very important near downtown Innsbruck. The hotel is on a fairly busy street just across the street from the river but our room was in the back with no view (not needed) and was very quiet. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was fabulous. Breakfast was 7 Euros each and well worth the cost. Hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again on our next visit. I would recommend this hotel for anyone with a car who is looking for a convenient, clean, comfortable smaller hotel near the center of the city.

Great location

The location of the hotel is definitely a plus point, especially if you are going to Salzburg by train. It is literally next to the station. Even if you are not arriving in Salzburg by train, the station is also a major bus terminal and so allows you to travel to various parts of Salzburg by bus or by train if you intend to see places outside the city. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. Had a great stay, staff were friendly, great location for skiing at nordketten and we were able to walk to all other main attractions i.e. ski jump, Olympic stadium etc. Breakfast was also great for 7 Euro! We had a great stay here.

Nice budget, family option close to attractions

The room was the largest we had while in Europe. Clean, but spartan. No air-conditioning, but it was refreshing to have the windows open in the Alps. The staff was lovely and very helpful. The breakfast spread was one of the largest we saw during our entire trip. They even gave us a small jar of perserves to take home. The one big negative for us was that we had a room that the windows opened not only onto the road, but also the breakfast deck. It was hot enough so that we had to keep the windows open during the night. Innsbruck is very quiet except for the road this hotel is on which has lots of cars and loud motorcycles on it all night long. My daughter was awakened the next morning by the smell of cigarette smoke wafting in through the window from someone smoking while eating breakfast. On the plus side, it had its own natural waterfall and was across the street from the river. it was at most a very easy, beautiful, safe 15 minute walk from everything we wanted to do in Innsbruck. Would stay here again but request a back room.

Great for the Price

Hotel was great. The location is a bit away from town but definitely walking distance. We didn't mind the walk for the price. We used the Innsbruck card and were able to catch the sightseer bus with a 10-15 minute walk. We were in a corner room with a great view. Stephen was very friendly and helpful. We didn't get the breakfast because we typically sleep in. I recommend it! There are light switches in the hallway for coming back at night (we didn't notice them at first). Stephen was accommodating and let us settle the bill the night before since we had to leave very early the next morning.

A lovely stay

Some people might think that this hotel is too far from town, but it suited us just fine. Away from the bustle of the city, our small room had a terrific view of the river. True, the hotel is situated on the main road, but we hardly heard the traffic at night. Breakfast was OK, not such a great selection but we were happy enough. Our host, Stefan, was most agreeable, and was ready to help us with everything, including lugging the suitcases upstairs (no elevators). All in all, a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Recommended.

Nice hotel close to the old part of town, about 15 min walk or 15 min with the tram. Bring your own sampoo and soap. Get a room in the back due to the fact the hotel is next to a busy road and the traffic noise will keep you up all night. Very good for the price.

This hotel was only a 10 minute walk from downtown Innbruck. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us find our way around for both the historic sights of Innsbruck and the Christmas markets. Breakfast was a typical European breakfast with deli meats, several types of jams for toast and tea or coffee. The room was a little tight. But there was still plenty of room for all our bags and room to get around. The best part is that it's situated just on the other side of the river and has parking available. That way you don't have to pay for a spot downtown. Very pleased.

The room was ok but that would be as far as I would go. Breakfast was good but 8 EUR a day was a bit steep for the offerings, would have done better going into town to a bakery. Very conveint to the old town, right on the river. If just looking for place to sleep this place is ok but would not stay there again.

You get what you pay for.

The hotel was....ok. The room was microscopic, as was the bathroom. Everything was old and kind of dingy. However, the bed was very comfy and the temp in the room was great with the windows open. If you like light in your room in the morning, request a street-facing room. Otherwise, request a room in the back of the hotel because it backs right up the mountain and is very dark! Parking was free and it was a 15 minute walk to old town. All in all, not too bad, but definitely no luxury hotel.

Das Zimmer war sauber aber sehr spartanisch eingerichtet. Eine Renovierung wäre eine gute Idee. Ich möchte betonen, dass das Personal durchgehend sehr nett und hilfsbereit war. Die Auswahl an Wurst- und Käsespezialitäten war etwas eingeschränkt, doch dafür war das Angebot an hausgemachter Marmelade umso vielfältiger und sehr lecker.

Das Hotel ist einfach und die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Wir hatten von unserem Zimmer aus einen tollen Blick auf die Stadt. Die kostenlose Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Hotel war das Ausschlaggebende bei der Wahl des Hotels. Das Frühstück war super und die Marmeladenauswahl grandios. Wer einen Platz zum Schlafen sucht und auf Freundlichkeit viel Wert legt ist hier genau richtig. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Het hotel ligt aan een vrij drukke weg die je moet oversteken om ergens heen te gaan. Verder een prima hotel met heel vriendelijke mensen en een leuke waterval naast de deur.

Points positifs :
Très grande chambre avec une grande salle de bain et tout le nécessaire.
Situé à 25-30 minutes à pied du vieux centre.
Personnel très accueillant et gentil.

Points négatifs :
Il fait chaud dans la chambre et les fenêtres donnant sur l entrée de la réception avec une petite terrasse avec balancelle, il est donc impossible d'ouvrir car il n'y a plus d'intimité. les gens s'assoient devant nos fenêtres.
De plus, l'hôtel se situe près dune route passante, tant que les fenêtres sont fermées cela ne gêne pas mais dès que vous ouvrez vous avez le bruit des voitures.

Parkplatz unentgeltlich, schöner Fussweg ca. halbe Stunde in die Innenstadt am Inn entlang, liegt zwar direkt an der Strasse, Verkehr aber kaum hörbar.

O local era muito próximo do centro, o atendimento dos funcionários foi perfeito ganhamos passe de onibus e todas as informações necessárias q foram solicitadas. O quarto era bem pequeno estão caso vc tenha malas grandes terá um pouco de trabalho, não ha elevador e os lencois estavam manchados.

Hotel tranquilo e silencioso

O hotel é super bonitinho, um pouco afastado do centro mas o táxi é bem baratinho. O local é bem silencioso, os funcionários do hotel são bem cordiais e simpáticos. O café da manhã é ótimo e a vista nem se fala. Se for chegar após as 19 entre em contato com hotel pois não fica ninguém na recepção.

Atencion inmejorable,excelente ubicacion,limpieza

Todo lo que se pueda contar es poco,hay que vivir la experiencia de sentirce tan a gusto,la dispocición de la recepción es total,una limpieza muy buena y su enclave frente al río Inn,te van a Hacer querer volver.
