I loved the room - a very comfortable bed and well laid out bathroom.

The staff were all very professional and friendly.

Very nice bar with contemporary creative decor.

We had an excellent view of the sea (the thick mist cleared after the first day!).

We didn't visit the spa but we found our stay most relaxing and pleasant.

Parking right outside was very easy with the Ringo app so we didn't bother with the car park pass that is also offered.

Hotel is a very beautiful especially the location right on the sea front. Reception staff are very welcoming and professional, the restaurant food especially the fish and chips top tier. The breakfast staff are very polite. The spa and gym very clean. And the bar cocktails mmmm. This is my second visit and there will be a third very soon with the girls in April.

Unfortunately this is the second time running I've have to make negative comments about the hotel. The room was clean and presentable, but was too small for a double bed. The distance beween to edge of the bed and the outside wall was no more than nine inches reduced by heavy curtains, the space between the end of the bed and a wall was approxmately ten inches, but reduced at standing hieght by the television protruding inches from the wall which meant without care or confused state during a vacuation would be a dangerous safety hazzard (photos available) Finally there was no plug the wasbasin

The room was lovely and the location is excellent, the food was tasty & the drinks were good too.

The service was okay, we arrived at 11:30 and told to come back and park the car later in the day - when we then returned, we were told there were no spaces left and had to pay to park. Also none of the restaurant areas are dog friendly in spite of the hotel being, which makes things quite tricky for eating out there.

Otherwise a lovely stay and would recommend - a few minor improvements and this hotel could be 5 star.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. From start to finish we felt well looked after, and there was honestly nothing we could fault. We have already booked for September before getting the ferry, just hoping for better weather this time— keep up the great work!

After arriving back in the UK after a few years this was perfect. It is comaratively well priced for a Hilton and had I investigated the pricing over the following weeks, I would have stayed for longer than three nights. The sauna is good, beds exeptionally comfortable and the restaurant is very good and extremely well priced. I am used to paying more than double in most European countries for the same fare. The staff are all so good, well informed and pleasant that it is humbling, in a way. Such a wonderful thing after not interfacing with British people for so long. I do not merely reccomend you stay here but I command it, or I shall track you down!!

The hotel was grubby. The staff were lovely however and the breakfast was good. The room wasn’t great. No storage and the curtains didn’t fit well so light poured into the room. Shower door wouldn’t shut. Sink plug hole got stuck. Had to ask 3 times for towel. Had to ask twice for toilet paper. Spa was also grubby with no locks and no towels.

Positives were the breakfast and the staff.

Impressive checkin service, great dining option at reasonable prices topped off with. Great big comfy bed and amenities. Breakfast was different as I was asked for name rather than room number and my leaving luggage was put safe so I didn’t clutter the dining room. Food has been excellent and what you’d expect from a MPW menu. Step above wher I usually stay at the sister hotel in Dover.

My partner and I have stayed for a few nights over New Year’s Eve. The initial room wasn’t so great but after we complained we was treated and given the best room in the hotel! The management team are 10/10 and by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Thank you again we will certainly see you again soon

Room clean and comfy, but noises coming from vent of water running was annoying.
Spa was ok, small, hot tub not hot. Treatments great.
Breakfast nice. Although watching staff eating from the buffet was off putting. They didnt get a playe just helped them self to cheese and crackers and ate it walking around.
Dinner in Marco Piere Whites restaurant. Food was amazing!!! Staff not so much. Felt like my teenage son was working there. Forgot anout us, walking round like a sloth. Forgetting menus and then steak knives (was a steak restaurant,!) And then waited ages fot the bill and even longer for the change. Which was also wrong. Shame. The lamb was 10/10

Check in was a nightmare - we arrived a bit early and was told the room was nearly ready but we would have to wait which we did. When we went to the desk at 3pm the room still wasn’t ready. We were again told to wait - the queue got longer and longer we didn’t get into our room till 3.50.
We were attending the gala NYE night - the food was great and the staff very attentive but the DJ was terrible - felt like I was at a bad wedding - music was sooooo old

Lovely location with sea view. On the beach. Short drives to nearby destinations. Room was immaculate. Bathroom was modern. Room was modern. Breakfast was good. It would be even better if they had halal or vegetarian options too. Otherwise, it had a good variety. The hot tub, sauna, steam room & changing rooms were all decent sizes and clean. It is mixed and can get a little over crowded. Overall, great experience. Would definitely come back again. Thank you Marina hotel.

Hotel is old but, for some of us, that is part of the charm. Floor of my room was very creaky. Since I was alone it wasn’t an issue for me but don’t know how it would be for someone in the room below mine. I had a sea front room with a balcony. Patio windows are original, single pane glass but windows have heavy drapes that serve to block out cold winds. I would very likely stay here again.

Not sure who or how this hotel is rated as excellent. Hotel was misleading and does not meet the Hilton brand. We booked as it was a Hilton but i dont think it was a true Hilton, maybe a franchise?

I had to leave as soon as i saw the 2 rooms. Customer service was amazing and nice man. They gave refund asap.

2 - Window lets in lots of noise from road and marina
3 - Windows not air tight
4 - Windows have a sticker so cant be opened as pigeons may fly in!
5 - No heat when we came hence had to check out
6 - Rooms are in process of being refurbished but the recpetion and halls are dated/dirty

To me, this was the worst Hilton hotel I ever stayed. One could smell the wet paint in the room and the corridors. It seemed some areas are still under renovation or repair. I had to request for room swapping as my mistress was allergic to the paint smell. Housekeeping was missed the next day after swapping. I had to report to the reception for the concern and asked for new towels. Inter-team communication seemed insufficient.

The hotel room was clean and newly renovated. The view out the small window though was awful - derelict parking lot and stuff. The hotel lobby is lovely and inviting and the staff was superb. The food in the hotel's bar was reasonably priced for the area. Shopping is literally behind the hotel and the beachfront is right there.

I did however feel that some of the staff did not speak fluent English and the hallways were in the middle of renovation which made them ugly and sad looking. There was no room number on the door either. There were comprehension errors on the menu and signs in the building. One sign in the shower asked you to \"put the curtain in the shower\" when they meant the rubberized mat to keep you from slipping. I would stay again.

Firstly I got a email day before asking for my check in time and details which I gave. Only to find out when I get there the hotel is now a Hilton and the info I got was old. Room was clean and comfy. Hotel is semi-fancy. Quite worn in places but had a lick of pain to freshen up. Loved balcony room overlooking water. Disgusted I wasn’t told about breakfast and then I paid for it and I was told it would have been cheaper if I booked with reception. A lot of the staff didn’t really know what they were doing. On a whole, room was great, staff less so. I’d expect more from a Hilton hotel.

Disappointing to be honest, not value forward mon

Room very small too much furniture to navigate to bathroom safely without stubbing toes. Dated interior scratch marks on bedroom wall. Fire alarm went off this morning at 6.44am and 7.30am. So no lie in. Nice food in restaurant for evening meal but not Mitchelin star as promoted. Breakfast expensive, ran out of teabags, milk, only small cups, no teaspoons and had to wait a while for fried eggs. Better option for breakfast and cheaper at table table mins walk away. When questioned about being woken by fire alarm they said it was due to construction works with dust getting into sensors. I actually think they had a lot of guests leaving today and they just wanted us up and out as soon as possible. Friendly staff but had to constantly ask for drinking glasses or food plates to be taken away
Lovely outside area at front of hotel so would be nice in summer.

This was supposed to be a perfect birthday weekend for my partner.
Arrived on Friday at about 8pm to a room that was covered in marks on the wall (see photos) and the room that felt like 30°, the air con wasn't on and I couldn't turn it on from the control on the wall.
I spoke with the front desk and they offered to switch us rooms and gave me a key but after checking the second room there was a drainage issue and the room smelt so bad.
I was given a fan for the heat in the room.
When asked today how the stay was, I said disappointing and all I got was OK sorry to hear that.
I will never return to this hotel. The only good point about this hotel is that the breakfast is decent.

Positives: Clean room, clean bathroom, beautiful shower, friendly staff, Churchill's was a nice pub - excellent fish and chips, gorgeous location right on the water, great view of Dover Castle and the white cliffs, short walk to market square with many shops and restaurants, short walk to #81 bus to Dover Castle.
Negative: Very uncomfortable bed that needs to be replaced. I was in room 214.
Slow lift but just have patience. It eventually gets you to your floor.
If I'm ever back in Dover, I'd stay here again.
