Very nice, older- but kept up Hilton hotel. The Standard room, double bed, is quaint (small to Americans traveling with large suitcases). We juet have carryons & 2 backpacks, so it’s not bad.

Very clean! It’s exactly what we needed before our cruise! You can book your taxi for the next day when you check in with the front desk.

We’re in room 105- The Bathroom was nice, a towel warmer, nice size shower. Our sink spays water everywhere- so becareful if you’re already dressed!!!

We must be near the kitchen 😬- it was Very noisy until 12:30-1am AND started bavk up again 5:30-6am, the smell of toast filled the room and the sounds of dishes clanking and being moved all over, amojg other very loud sounds- is still going on, at 11:30 when we checked out. Not sure if I got this luxurious- sounding room because I booked on Expedia- or just got lucky!also, If you book on Expedia, ensure you can pull up the reservation- the staff will need to double-check if you paid already or not.

There are restaurants here and a bar you can go to. You can make reservations with the front desk in advance or see if there’s a place at the bar!

For dining- advance reservations recommended;

Starbucks & snacks: from 7:00 AM
* Wheelers Fish & Chips: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Not well kept. Poor signage. No help with luggage. Toilet was so low as a handicapped individual I had to use the shower to urinate and public washroom for the deed. Switched rooms three times. Then stuffed in a room at the very back of hotel. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The hotel’s location is excellent, overlooking the waterfront and conveniently close to the ferry terminal and town centre.

The only downside was that the room was quite small, especially with luggage, but it was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool throughout my stay, which made a big difference.

The highlight was undoubtedly the restaurant. Dinner exceeded my expectations, with delicious, beautifully prepared food and generous portions. Every dish was full of flavour and clearly made with care. The service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

The hotel staff throughout the property were courteous and helpful from check-in to departure, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Although I would have preferred a larger room, the cleanliness, comfort, excellent dining, and outstanding service more than made up for it. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa to anyone visiting Dover. I would certainly stay here again.

I stayed at the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa prior to my cruise and overall had a pleasant stay.

The hotel is full of character and appears to be housed in a historic building, which gives it a charm that many modern hotels lack. My room was comfortable and well-equipped with a kettle, tea and coffee, a safe, hairdryer, air conditioning, and quality toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. The shower was excellent with plenty of hot water, and the bed was very comfortable.

The location is one of the hotel’s greatest strengths. It is situated directly across from the harbour, making it a lovely place for a walk, and it is also within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, including arranging taxis when needed. The breakfast offered good value when added to the room reservation.

My only significant concern is accessibility. There are several steps leading to the main entrance. While there is a ramp, I observed guests attempting to use it only to find the door at the top locked, forcing them to turn around and carry their luggage up the steps. For guests with mobility challenges, wheelchairs, or heavy luggage, this could be difficult and is something I hope the hotel addresses.

Check-in was at the advertised time of 3 p.m. and my room was not available earlier, but there was no delay once check-in time arrived.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel to travellers looking for a comfort

The hotel was lovely. Loved the aesthetic, the design and the location. Staff were nice and friendly - went out of their way to help with everything we need. Breakfast was also vast and a lot of options. Just make sure you get there before 10am.
Lastly the amazing view outside. So peaceful and so clear. This is a nice place to go if you want a bit of peace and quiet.
Which is exactly what we needed.

Gary was very welcoming and helpful even when we arrived at 2140 went above and beyond to make sure me and my girlfriend were happy.
I forgot to pre book breakfast which I highly recommend but the kind staff honoured it anyway for us. Great view of the ports and sea.
Only thing is the spa which is not actually the hotels spa I don't believe and is open to the public, was not that great and the men's changing area was disgusting.

The view from the hotel was phenomenal and the ease to get to the pier, Dover Castle and the White Clifffs was also great. The staff were really attentive and all had a wonderful demeanor. The dinner in Mr White’s Chophouse Dover by Marco Pierre White was good too - many thought the desserts were outstanding. We did not try the Spa or gym. I would recommend staying this hotel for sightseeing.

Room was clean and staff was helpful but our see view room was disappointing the first room was on an incline so ask to switch as I could not sleep with my head facing down and in both rooms the so called sea view was a very small window that was in one corner that you had to stand up and get in front of it to see the sea and the rooms was very small and the window let in very little light and we had to have a light on in the middle of the day ! My sister had a room facing the marina and her room was twice the size and these big beautiful big windows that let in a ton of natural light . In my opinion the sea view room is not worth the extra money!

Main reason for choosing this hotel is for spa and gym facilities as I do not like missing gym sessions when I’m away. Hotel location easy to find. The building looks okay, decor is very dated, communal areas are clean apart from sauna area but expected… Gym facilities could be better organised but equipments are excellent. Managed to get amazing workouts which was surprising as hotel usually only have basic stuff but not in this case. Breakfast was adequate and seemed fresh, same each day. Main con for this hotel is the room and the lift. The floor was lopsided and made me and my partner feel giddy every time we walk around the bed, and the lift my gosh was very very slow and tiny. Sign says 8people, well like a sardine with 4. Massive pros, staff are lovely and always smiling and very accommodating and helpful. Gym although not very clean and disorganised we have had amazing sessions due to excellent equipments. Will I recommend and come back again? —absolutely!!! Mainly for staff, gym and spa. Enjoyed our stay for these reasons.

The staff was very helpful, Gary on reception was amazing and was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and gave great advice on things to do. The breakfast was alright and the bar area was very good and the barman was kind and very attentive. Good food and drink in the bar.

My room was very clean and well done to the cleaners for their part in it. The room was a little bit smaller than the photos but a beautiful view of the bay/port. There was a slight watery sound when I was trying to sleep at night, not sure if it was the pipes or the Air-con but would get that checked out.

Overall a lovely hotel, well worth a visit if you are going to the port or going to see the area or white cliffs

Plenty of tea,coffee and biscuits and the towels were lovely large ones instead of the usual face cloth you get to dry yourself with in many hotels. We liked the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom and the soap etc was filled. The room and bathroom were very cold due to the old sash windows which were quite draughty. However you were able to control the heating easily and so were able to warm the room quite quickly. We did not sample the restaurant or spa services as this was only a one night stay.

I loved the room - a very comfortable bed and well laid out bathroom.

The staff were all very professional and friendly.

Very nice bar with contemporary creative decor.

We had an excellent view of the sea (the thick mist cleared after the first day!).

We didn't visit the spa but we found our stay most relaxing and pleasant.

Parking right outside was very easy with the Ringo app so we didn't bother with the car park pass that is also offered.

Unfortunately this is the second time running I've have to make negative comments about the hotel. The room was clean and presentable, but was too small for a double bed. The distance beween to edge of the bed and the outside wall was no more than nine inches reduced by heavy curtains, the space between the end of the bed and a wall was approxmately ten inches, but reduced at standing hieght by the television protruding inches from the wall which meant without care or confused state during a vacuation would be a dangerous safety hazzard (photos available) Finally there was no plug the wasbasin

The service was okay, we arrived at 11:30 and told to come back and park the car later in the day - when we then returned, we were told there were no spaces left and had to pay to park. Also none of the restaurant areas are dog friendly in spite of the hotel being, which makes things quite tricky for eating out there.

Otherwise a lovely stay and would recommend - a few minor improvements and this hotel could be 5 star.

After arriving back in the UK after a few years this was perfect. It is comaratively well priced for a Hilton and had I investigated the pricing over the following weeks, I would have stayed for longer than three nights. The sauna is good, beds exeptionally comfortable and the restaurant is very good and extremely well priced. I am used to paying more than double in most European countries for the same fare. The staff are all so good, well informed and pleasant that it is humbling, in a way. Such a wonderful thing after not interfacing with British people for so long.
