We have stayed at the Wycliffe before & was quite happy with everything. This stay, the guest house has new owners who were pleasant enough. It appears they are upgrading the rooms. Ours looked refurbished . We were on the 2nd floor in quite a small room, bathroom was quite small. Beds were comfortable. Tea/coffee facilities, adequate. Breakfast was very nice & left a small review in their guest book. They are a few eateries in easy walking distance. Would recommend.

Just right for my needs. Good location for access to town plus free parking. Unfortunately I did have noisy people in adjoining rooms who played loud music and the room the other side had tv on loud but that’s the lack of concern for others that’s all too common now and not the fault of the guest house. Breakfast was good and staff polite and helpful.

Lovely guest hotel with a very friendly and helpful host. But the room having a very small toilet room next door is not ensuite, the toilet roll holder was a battle to get any toilet paper and the low ceilings meant several bumped heads.

Only stayed one night, but it was comfortable and clean. Service was friendly and good. My only slight disappointment was that the private bathroom was separate from the bedroom, but still reserved only for us. The Hotels.com website said separate 'bedroom', not bathroom. Only a minor matter, otherwise everything good.

Great welcome by the host. Lovely big family room with lots of space for the children. Didn’t stay for breakfast as an early start home but there was a lot of choice on offer. Will definitely stay again when I revisit family who live in the town. A bonus was the private parking on grounds of the guest house as so many roads are permit only. Short walk to shops, supermarket and along the Leas overlooking the beach. Highly recommended.

The guest house is very handily located with lots of dining options a minute or two away on foot. It's also spotlessly clean and very well run. We would have rated it 5-stars but with temperatures overnight in the single digits there was no heating on in any of the common areas - including the breakfast room in the morning - which was rather surprising.

We had an enjoyeable stay. The staff was very kind, facilities were very good, and the guest house was located very close to some very good restaurants. My only quibble was the shower. It was almost impossible to get the water to become hot and the water had a very weak spray. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and a good nights' sleep was had by all.

Would recommend the hearty breakfast and the location 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the eurotunnel. Excellent hospitality by the hosts. They have worked very hard to ensure our maximum comfort. The hotel is kid friendly. I wanted to change the booking as our circumstances changed after we check in. The host agreed to waive the cancellation fee given our condition. The host tried all day to change it, until we figured out that its not the easiest task. They are extremely friendly and works very hard. I would recommend staying here for short stay or long.

Finally I've found a decent guest house in Folkestone and a reasonable price. I'll be staying here again. Very clean, friendly owners. After the disappointment of all the other places, I'm relieved to finally find somewhere. And an excellent breakfast too!

Spent the night at the guest house for my half marathon the following day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was a very good size, though I had a shared bathroom I was the only guest on that floor so it was pretty much all mine for the night.
The only negative was it wasn't easy to find as the building looked very similar to all the surrounding buildings, perhaps a bigger or bright sign might help. Otherwise it was a great stay.

A nice old fashioned B&B. Good, friendly service. The breakfast was good. We had room 9 at the top of the house which is not on suit but has a separate bathroom across the landing but bathrobes were provided. As it was a warm day it was nice that the windows had been opened before we arrived to ensure the room was cooler. Only comments is would like to have had hairdryer in the room rather than request one but that is a minor issue. The place is a shortish walk from the seafront and only 20 minutes from the habour in Folkstone which has great bars and places to eat by the lighthouse.
