Fab apartment, great size, stayed in a 2 bed apartment. Pool at the doorstep, not too busy but busy enough. staff could not of been any more helpful, any more friendly and just made it a fabulous stay
Only issue was the Aircon- they even came to clean the Aircon filters on day 1 as it was stifling, but I’m guessing they are just old Aircon units as it didn’t make any difference once they were cleaned. Apart from that it was tip top A****, highly recommend

Staff were lovely , property well kept and in and really good location . Views from pool across sea were amazing . Breakfast was basic but good .
My only criticism would be that our balcony looked at a white wall and had no sun all day and was beside the laundry station . This was fine for us as we weren’t in the room much but if your holiday is based around sitting on your balcony you may be disappointed and this may be the case for many rooms in this property . There are rooms that are bookable with sea view but there were none available when we booked

Spacious well equipped apartment. Supermarket within easy walking distance. Pool area great. On a steep hill but entrances to property allow step access instead of the hill. Staff at reception excellent, really helpful at all times. Only downside is the smell of the drains but that seems to be prevalent in most resorts.

We stayed for a couple of nights on New Year's Eve and the hotel is fine, clean with friendly staff, with 3 separate areas with loads of sun beds to sit and enjoy the sun. We didn't eat here as a couple of minutes down the hill are all the restaurants and bars where two breakfasts were €17, it's a perfect location but it's situated on heart attack hill if you know the area.
Our apartment was fine clean and modern with loads of room BUT it was 100 yards down the steepest hill in PDC, holding onto the cases was a major obstacle then lifting them up 3 flights of stairs was really hard work.
There's no lifts at all.
Ensure you get a pool side room or you're in for a tricky ride.
But in leaving you had the final kick in the minerals of pushing your cases up to reception to check out. There is a luggage room to store your cases while we spent the day by the pool before our taxi over to Playa Blanca.
Overall a very nice hotel in a great location for the main strip.

Love this hotel, apartment is comfortable, modern and contains all you need. Lovely big king size bed.
Pool area is heaven, so peaceful and wonderful view's.
Only drawbacks were, our room was next to the street, and theres alot of noise often from the recycling bottles banks.
In 4 days, cleaning only happened once. They changed the towels, made the bed, but didn't actually do any cleaning

The location is great for old and new town and we probably wouldn't stay anywhere else other than here next time we come puerto del carmen.

Was an ok stay but I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Our balcony door leaked the first night and we had to use a towel to block the rain. We also couldn't leave food open on the kitchen counter as there were loads of ants which got into anything we left on the side. We could also hear everything going on in the apartment next door. Please also note that WiFi access is not included and you are charged an additional fee if you want to use WiFi.

Lovely 10 days spent at this hotel. Helpful hard working staff who do everything to look after you, nothing is a problem. Fantastic breakfasts (inc cooked to order bacon and eggs), stunning pool, no problem getting a sunbed which are so comfy! Hill outside is steep but short, so no problem for us. The location is perfect, great views of the sea from the room as well as the pool. Our one bedroom apartment with sea view was just as expected with lovely view (see pic). Everything is kept so clean and tidy. Would 100% recommend and stay here again. Thanks to the whole team for making out stay perfect.

We were allocated room 3113 , after first night we asked to be moved. We were disturbed with the side gate to premises , people coming and going. Also the road noise/bins/roadworks and cleaners cupboards next to bedroom.
Unfortunately the lady was not interested in listening and unhelpful. She said there were no rooms, I went online tried to book another room and it showed availability. So we were disappointed.

Fantastic stay at the Kontiki Beach Apartments. Clean, modern and stylish with all the amenities you require for a self catering stay. Staff were friendly and resort cleaned to the highest standards. Welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch. Pool and sun loungers were fab and very comfy!

Hotel is very centrally located and has stunning views overlooking the beach front and sea. There are multiple areas for sun bathing with either traditional sun beds or circular ones, all with parasols. 2 bedroom rooms are very large with great size bedrooms, bathroom and lounge/kitchen area. Kitchen has hob, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, fridge and washing machine with loads of plates, glasses, pots, etc. We had excellent sea views from generous balcony. Lounge has two sofas, table and chairs and smart tv with Netflix/Amazon Prime/Disney (need your own subscription). Air conditioning in lounge and bedrooms is excellent. Rooms and all surrounding areas are kept spotless. Especially pool area where lifeguard constantly kept clean and mopped whenever wet. Pool is decent size for cooling off and has very shallow entry area for young kids to play in. Restaurant/bar area decent and food excellent quality and selection. Staff are super friendly in all areas and can’t do enough for you. Supermarket right outside from reception (not part of hotel) with decent selection of stuff and fresh bakery. Will definitely book again here if going back to Lanzarote!

Excellent location to PDC strip. There is a very steep hill to walk back up but that was fine for us, not so easy for my elderly parents. However, taxis cost only €3 so don’t let that put you off.
The pool area was beautiful and they take cleanliness to the next level, they never stop cleaning the place and it is absolutely spotless.
Internet cost €2 and room safe was €3 per day. Towel to change was €1 each time you wanted to change. Absolutely loved this hotel but didn’t expect to be charged for Wi-Fi and safe in 4* hotel when paying c£110 per night.
Will return as we all really enjoyed our stay though.

Wonderful modern apartment complex right by the beach. The apartments are very spacious and the sea views deliver. The pool are was also great and the staff lovely. Cleaning every second day. We had a great time here and will happily be back.

Parking can be a little tricky but thats the only drawback.

Beautiful complex. Stunning pool area and a gorgeous sun deck overlooking the sea. The apartment (one bed) was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. There’s also a lovely little bar area and a café. We didn’t have the breakfast but we had coffee and lunch there which was lovely. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful. Check in was quick and we were lucky to be able to access our apartment when we arrived and not have to wait for the designated check-in time. We also paid extra for a late check out which was so handy as our flight wasn’t until the evening. The complex is also in a perfect location. Just across from the beach and right beside shops/restaurants etc. At the same time it’s a lovely quiet complex, very relaxing and a perfect place to chill out. Definitely recommend this place and we can’t wait to come back!

Arrival felt extremely comfortable with COVID-19, pre check in, mask, sanitiser stations in place throughout reception & bar area.
Only point,
Room was a ground floor (2 floors to bldg) pool side. Extremely spacious apartment, bedroom Kingsize bed, good quality linen, large wardrobe & mirror.
Large double shower with rainfall plus normal shower, hairdryer & toiletries provided, clean soft towels provided & changed twice in a 5 night stay.
Kitchen/diner was extremely spacious for a 1 bed apt with a double length couch, several tables including a dining, lovely modern beach chic style, well equipped kitchen (no dishwasher though.. but washing up supplies provided.

Great little suntrap terrace with table. Chairs & loungers.

Whole apartment very clean & well maintained. Pool side was spotless with cleaning station and pool guard constantly wiping sunbeds, tables, pool a fair size with deep & swallow end, walk in, pool towels provided.

Beach is 5 min walk, shop opposite complex, would definitely return & happily recommend. A super gem, staff great & welcoming.

Only point was Wi-fi was at a charge & didn’t always work especially poolside.

The security was very comforting and the quietness at night was very much appreciated.
The only negative was the lack of kitchen equipment- no corkscrew, no salad bowl, no jug/bowl for meal preparation. Small things but important!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we would certainly return to this property.

We have had the most fantastic stay at R2 Kontiki Bahia in Puerto Del Carmen -Lanzarote. Starting with our arrival, we were welcomed with the warmest smile from Lilian (reception staff) who kept us laughing and made us feel at home -as if we were family. It all made sense when we met met the director Shaily, who was just as humble and friendly as all the other staff, even stepping into the reception to help out on shifts- total respect!
What can I say about the facilities: pool-tanning area were immaculately clean: Thanks to morning staff that we saw every morning cleaning every inch of the outdoor space. Even the lifeguard was cleaning the sun beds, pool area and hand rails. The gardener was tending all the plants and raking the soil, and additional staff would be doing the paths and walk ways...absolutely fantastic work.
Everyone was so helpful and friendly, the life guard gave us tips of places to go and took the time to write places down on a map for us ! In the morning at breakfast, Roberto and Diego were super friendly, efficient and helpful- they even remembered our orders and were always a step ahead of things ;)
The apartment was fantastic too, with a colourful and fresh interior design, spacious bedroom, modern bathroom and dining and kitchen area with an outdoor terrace. Besides all the crockery and glassware, they had included many more items that were extremely useful. An excellent place to stay, highly recommended!

Pleasant looking hotel, nice pool (immaculate) and modern, bright rooms with good facilities and nice bathrooms, all seemed newly renovated. good check in process, nice staff on reception and a welcome drink. Pleasant bar area and good service, drinks were reasonably priced as well. Breakfast was good quality with reasonable choice. Excellent location near a number of good restaurants, bars and the beach. Room was clean overall, but the floor seemed a bit dirty. Only other gripe was one time we ate lunch in the hotel, and when paying on card, after i entered my PIN, the waiter pressed the button and converted the payment into sterling instead of euros, without asking me, which basically meant I was overcharged.

The apartments are clean, modern and large. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, but if you have limited mobility it's probably not the best place as it is a short walk up a rather steep hill from the beachfront. There is free street parking nearby and we were always able to get a space close to the property. Breakfast was very good and varied from day to day. The pool and outside areas are a good size and there are enough sunbeds for everyone. The whole hotel is well maintained and feels safe.

Absolute superb accommodation. Staff are so friendly. Place is kept so clean. Rooms cleaned and towels changed every 2 days. Location is exactky whst you'd want. Bars, restaurants, supermarkets right on your door step. Lidl a 10 minute walk. Only down fall is the pool. Pool is immaculate but if you have children won't suit. No lilos or rings allowed. No ppaying around in the pool. There was a lifeguard on our first week. Very arrogant. I tried to put an umbrella up on the chill out section. He whistled and said no.. No reason why. 2nd lifeguard on for our second week went out of his way to explain why umbrella couldn't go up. Overall I'd defo go back but with no children.

The breakfast is excellent, and selection was good and varied and changed daily with always some new smoothies or juices and freshly prepared food.

I really liked the additional chill out areas as sun beds around the pool were generally all reserved by towels (though often not being used). It was difficult to get a coffee at breakfast time from the bar if you didn’t have breakfast included in your package.
Reception staff were extremely helpful when organising excursions and taxis.

Only drawback is the hill, we asked for a room accessed lower down the hill and not the main entrance, this we had but there is a lot of steps to access the pool area from these rooms, but we had access to the quiet area with double sun loungers and parasols.

The location in Puerto Del Carmen is fantastic although the property is located on a very steep slope so do not book if you have mobility issues.
The apartments and complex were very well kept, all areas were clean and tidy.
Breakfast is included and was lovely.
The snack bar menu was sufficient, the bar itself closes at 8pm.
The cleaners came every other day and made bed, changed towels and swept floor but that was really it. We broke a glass which we left on the side and it wasn't taken away.
The pool was lovely, there is also a chill out area and terrace so lots of places to sunbathe and look out over the sea.
Overall I would definitely recommend!

The hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard - whilst being in the middle of the resort and very convenient for the shops nightlife and beach, the hotel and room were not effected buy noise or other disturbances during our stay. We only had one meal in the hotel, which was breakfast. There was plenty of choice and the food was of a high standard. All the staff were very helpful and cheerful. No real issues with the hotel would come back again

50 metres from the beach

Good location, the sea view rooms mainly on the left of the estate are worth it as you have sun almost all day on the balcony until sunset. There are loads of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The beach is a 2 mins walk with toilets and sunbeds to rent. The rooms are serviced every 2 days and the premises are really clean. The rooms are not really sound proof so you can hear your neighbors or street traffic (but the street is not a busy one). I would overall recommend it to friends.

Excellent modern well situated hotel

We wanted some winter sun in an interesting location with plenty to do or relax if we chose. This fitted the bill extremely well. We saw lots of the island by using an organised excursion and local buses and discovering the excellent coastal path for walking. The hotel pool, apartment style rooms and other facilities plus entertainment suited us really well. Had apartment with lovely sea view and sunshine all day. Only real draw back was steep hill to reception.

Lovely stay

The apartments were lovely, modern and clean. The service was excellent. The staff even gave us Prosecco and cake for my friends 40th birthday! The only downside was that the rooms were a little cold in the evening and the air con didn’t heat.

Good stay, not for English speaking guests.

Lovely newly renovated Aparthotel. Not much of the hotel part though.
Pros:
Very new, lovely pool, sun deck with plenty of sun beds,
very clean, great view of New Years fireworks.
Free pool towels.
Nice and quiet.
Close to everything.
Cons:
Expensive breakfast €12 each, not much on offer, better to go out or do in own room.
Have to pay for Wi-fi in room, expensive and very poor service, kept needing reset by reception, only 3 devices at once.
Only English tv channels are news and stocks are shares, complained but couldn’t be reset to English speaking channels.
Had to walk part way down a hill to room door, couldn’t lock the patio door from the outside.
Had to pay extra for the safe.
Sofa bed very hard, pillows poor and thin.
Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, requiring multiple towels to soak up the water. Had to wring these out to dry them as they were only changed every other day.
Only 2 chairs on the patio for 3 people, no extras available.
Definitely set up for guests from Germany not English speakers.

Next to beach and all the shops and restaurants, clean pool with beautiful seating area, big clean all new rooms and we had a marvellous view to the sea from the balcony with sunshine all day. Breakfast didn't seem large but there was an option of cooked/fried eggs and the buffet selection was totally enough for us. All staff were very friendly.
No negatives.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location just a half block to the beach and restaurants. Clean rooms with full kitchens. A few minor downsides. A lot of stairs to get to some of the units if that's an issue. They charge for wi-fi and it doesn't work very well, not just slow but no connection more than half the time. Most of the sea view rooms have only a side view of the water. The hotel was only a 3rd full and we still got a crappy view.

This is a really lovely aparthotel in a great location, minutes from the strip and beach. When you book it says all the rooms are sea view however some are side sea view. We asked to move as there is a difference and not what we were expecting and also I had sent a message a week prior to our stay requesting this but they said there were no sea view rooms available. Not happy! The breakfast is great and worth paying a bit extra for. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the pool and chill out areas were just amazing. The apartment is a little bit style over substance but huge bed and spacious rooms with a balcony so can’t complain. We’ll definitely stay here again but will book direct as I think they probably look after people who book direct over people who book through a company.

Nice hotel

Very nice hotel and appeared to be very recently refurbished. Great pool area.
Only (slight) downsides were no hot water before midday!?!, maids trolleys are our on the tiled pathways and bar prices were on the strong side.

The room was hidden away all concrete we had sught on next door complex whuxh was a few meters away to the pool we had to go out to the street first they have nice apartments but we didnt have one of them

Recently renovated, these apartments have been done to a high standard. The pool area is just off reception and there are 2 lovely chill out areas, one with sunbeds and the other with chairs which give views of the beach and sea. The apartments are cleaned every other day and seemed comprehensive. One point to note. These apartments are situated about 150m from the seafront up a hill with a 1:2 gradiant. We were situated on level 1 which meant you had to descend 53 steps on a similar gradiant to reach our apartment. There are no lifts making these apartments unsuitable for people with movement problems.

Really excellent Aparthotel, we had a room with a sea view, that was a nice surprise, apartment spotlessly clean and really great location. Only negative would be that the hotel is on the top of a small hill so not ideal for those with limited mobility otherwise book this Aparthotel, will definitely return.

Great holiday

Greeted by friendly staff and a lovely glass of champagne on arrival. Accomodation was extremely clean, modern and in a good location (apart from cardiac hill!) Fab chill out areas to drink cocktails and solarium overlooking beach. Hotel more suitable for couples than families. Apart from the cleaning staff being very noisy at 7.30 every morning (our room was near the laundry at the back), we had an excellent stay and would definitely return.

Fabulous !

The apartments were lovely ,we were ideally located on ground floor beside pool with sea view . Service was excellent , very clean and serviced every two days during stay . Shirt walk to beach , area quite busy but very tranquil in hotel grounds . Lots of good restaurants around , local water sports and tours to national park easily arranged . Highly recommebd this hotel .
