I love this hotel. I always stay here every time i vist lanzarote.(lots) great location, friendly staff, superior rooms are great, light airey room. Bathrooms need a little updating from my experience and it would be nice to have some cleaning equipment eg brush for floors

We have stayed here years before, rooms are lovely very spacious, staff all seem lovely always pleasant and accomodating. The only negative is the pool loungers, people were putting towels down in the middle of the night and literally all sun loungers were taken. The one day we managed to get them after someone gave theres up there was people who had towels down who we never even seen for at least 3 or 4 hours, its terrible. More should be done to prevent this. We ended up going to the beach instead but you dont want the stress of fighting over loungers. Otherwise we had a really pleasant stay.

I just found the concierge rude, also after paying a ridiculous four figures for four nights id expect the cleaner to bring fresh towels and make the beds i did complain about this and they just ignored me. Also two days to outsource an iron then charge a ridiculous abount for it even said just go to the indians and buy one.

Relatively quiet, felt isolated in spite of the number of guests.
Service attentive to requests. Great burger at the snack bar by the pool.
Amount of cutlery and plates just enough for 2-3 people. Small coffee cups, we ended up buying mugs at a local store.

The cupboard storing the bin had an awful old urine smell, it must have been and old smell that wasn’t cleaned properly but every time we opened the cupboard to use the bin the smell just hit you

SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

I was in 16 b there was a squashed fly on the wall the whole of my stay … bed linen changed Inca !! Despite request … towels taken from floor and hung back up !!! The apartments need a huge refurb they r grubby !! Bad paint work broken tiles there were 16 of us n no one happy !! The pool was good but area not cleaned daily one of the men told the sos attendant the toilet floor was wet he showed him the mop !!!! I payed over €2000 for one person would never recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Asked for a ground floor room and turned up and was given room at the top 3 floors no lifts, loads of flies, and cockroches in room, and didn't know the hotel was on a very steep hill, pool was dirty and sides was all coming apart from the wall, and people keeping sunbeds and nothing done about it, would not recommend this hotel for people with mobility problem

Overall disappointing

It was not as it was advertised, which was no fault of Hotels.com. Labranda El Dorado didn't update their website after they \"upgraded\" their apartments. They stripped it of character.
Lacked a lot. No Bathtub, which was advertised. No oven, just a stove top, also advertised. Ensuite not up to standard at all. Very dirty, hairdryer a disaster. Not an ounce of character in the place. Overlooking what looked like Building site from the balconies.

Great location between the old and new town, 2 fine pools with plenty of sunbeds available. All staff were very pleasant and friendly.
The property was a little tired but spacious with 2 balconies and nice sea views. The shower was powerful but it did throw a river of water out into the apartment and 2 towels needed on floor to mop up .
Overall we would happily return here.

Received a message 2 days before departure to say I had been moved to a new hotel as there was a “breakdown” at the hotel.

No chance to rearrange ( or offer) and was placed at Labranda Cocoteros. Not in the part of town I wanted and in very poor condition.

Apartment (B12) was very spacious and clean. Had ants in counter tops a lot but managed them with spray. Bedrooms and view fantastic. Another couch or chair indoors would have been very useful and there was plenty of space for it. Loved our stay, great location, sun loungers plentiful, pool great. Staff fantastic.

The rooms are very tired - bedsheets were fine. Towel change every day. We chose this hotel for a pool with sunbeds but they were so dirty and the matresses also, that we did not use them at all.

Value for money - you get what you pay for - 5 out of 10.

The grounds of the hotel were spotless. The rooms however were not. Rooms need cleaned more often and fresh towels provided. Most staff spoke no English but were friendly. Reception staff were very friendly.

Location was good. Property in need of refurbishment. Found a live cockroach in my bed on the first night!! Reported to reception and was told if i saw another one to report it. Was not offered anothet apartment. Two days later woke to find another cockroach on my pillow...that was it,we checked out straight away.

OK for a week in the sun

Room was serviceable if a tad tired. Staff were pleasant enough. Hotel in good location close to port and main beach. Wifi connection poor. Resort ok if you are a beach baby and get good weather. I am not and we did not. Lanzarote itself very samey.

Great location and staff - super spot

Facilities pool etc are very good - kids loved the heated pool - gardens and communal areas well maintained - rooms in need of a bit of refurb - but great value plus five days a week maid service. Laundry wash available any time at extra charge of five euros a wash. We asked to change on night one to a different room and this was accommodated in a very friendly and efficient manner the following day. Rooms clean and basic but suited us - need upgrading and I believe is happening - would we return? Definitely

This is the best hotel we stayed in Puerto del carmen，consider we had spend six weeks here this year，very close to everything，close to beach ，close to old town，shopping center just out of the back gate，specially my husband‘s favorite restaurant just hundred yards away，and our room got sea view over look the pool，love it，highly recommend。

We arrived to be told the roof had collapsed in the apartment we were allocated and there was no other available. We were booked into the International Club which was completely the other side of town and not a place we would have chosen.

Good location in Puerto del Carmen

Nice apartment in spacious grounds. Our apartment was large with good sized balcony and enough equipment for our self catering purposes. Staff were friendly and efficient, addressing any issues immediately. There is a restaurant on site, although we didn't use, so can't comment on the food.
Located close to the Old Town and the local amenities or take a nice walk into Puerto del Carmen along the seafront. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, gift shops and perfume shops (generally offering good discounts).
A nice all round holiday suitable for everyone.
Would definitely stay at El Dorado again.

We're just back from Lanzarote and had a lovely time at El Dorado apartments.They are very close to all amenieties e.g shops,beaches,restaurants,etc.The pool area is lovely and the staff are very helpful and friendly.The only downfall is our appartment was up near the back gate and it was noisy at night time

Mainly positive but a few disappointing issues

This hotel makes a lot of effort to give you a positive experience but it was a few minor details which made me vote no on \"Recommending it for a friend\".

The hotel is self contained, you can only gain access to the complex via your room key.
The hotel complex itself is well maintained, it is clean and trees etc are looked after.
There is a pool bar which is very reasonable (the food in this is really good).
The staff are friendly.
There are 2x pools and plenty of sun loungers.
There is an on site restaurant.
The hotel is located beside Puerto Del Carmens main shopping complex, it is also in a great location for restaurants and bars.

Unfortunately the room floor and surfaces where grubby/dirty on arrival, I didn't complain but hoped when the cleaners showed up this would remedy itself, it didn't.
The WiFi was ok in communal areas but in our room it was awful, the very odd time it connected to the router, it wouldn't have internet access for more than 5 mins at a time all at a very slow speed.

Rooms desperately need an update... disgusting!

While staff is friendly and location is great, The rooms are horribly outdated and borderline unhealthy (molded walls obviously painted over several times, furniture that stank and was dirty, smell of sewage in kitchen). After 1 night (of our already paid 7 nights) we moved to a different hotel as it would not have been a vacation to continue to stay there. Grounds were quite nice, should consider allocating some money spent on grounds to update the rooms.

We needed a leisurely, relaxing break and El Dorado came up trumps. Helpful, friendly staff, good sea view and ideally situated for beach, shops and restaurants. One moan: the advertised sofa 'bed' wasn't a bed.

Staff very pleasant. Lovely pool areas and gardens were really nice and well maintained. Would definitely return here - Good location for old town and new town. Never used restaurant but we noticed it was always busy enough. We have passed Eldorado many times on visits to Lanzarote but never aware of the lovely set up of grounds. Very relaxing pool areas and gardens.
The only downside that we (and others we spoke to) was the WiFi. Very poor connection. We could get great WiFi in other places in Puerto del Carman but not good in Eldorado. I believe this could be much much better.

Don't expect a warm welcome

Excellent location, very clean and spacious. I would have rated the service at 1 except for the lovely Sandra who on her own should get a 5. The rest of the staff at the pool bar and reception were rude and inhospitable. On check in we were told they had no room for us and we're moving us to another hotel, we refused and eventually the receptionist said she could give us a room and move somebody else. She was exceptionally unhelpful and rude through the experience and gave us a very poor impression on arrival. The man who served at the pool bar was also less than friendly.
