Changed rooms twice in 5 days, due to the walls being as thin as plasterboard can hear a pin drop from the room next door.

The beds were comfortable and the housekeepers did a fantastic job each day.

However, the rooms are always humid so all of my clothes in the wardrobe were damp as a result as was my sheets.

The air con barely worked only in the last room I was in.

Cant fault the pools, poolside kept clean.

Staff were all brilliant, friendly and helped with my many complaints and room changes.

The hotel is overall fine for the price but pick your rooms wisely, the rooms on the \"poor side\" across the road are FAR from premium.

The staff and the food helped save the experience at the hotel even if the rooms were awful.

Location is pretty far from civilisation, with a nice walk down but terrible walk back up.

Would I stay here again? No. The rooms unfortunately let the place down for the price point, unless you have one of the suites on the main side with sea view.

But if you are looking for somewhere just to lay your head for your holiday then its fine.

Thankfully the staff save this place.

The room was spotless, The reception staff couldn’t have been any more helpful they are very professional. There was an issue with the restaurant as I went into the buffet I confirmed prior to the gentleman that I’m self catering I will be paying cash. He was also professional as I was finishing up I paid and ask could I get a paper/plastic cup as I had a glass, He said it’s fine go ahead with the glass so on the way back to my room I was physically grabbed a member of staff from the bar accusing me of not paying and telling me I can’t bring my glass. My Spanish is below average as he needs to go study English as it’s a tourism industry with majority of people coming to this area are English speaking people. I went to the staff at reception to resolve this issue as it was extremely embarrassing as I was a solo traveler I paid my bill and also tipped the staff wore lovely people but the guy from the bar didn’t even apologise when he called his colleague to confirm I paid and I was told I could bring the glass. I was extremely embarrassed I was offered 1 drink as there was no manager he’s on vacation I found that extremely confusing as a hotel chain they have no manager on site 3 days ago I reported this every day I went down to see what the update was. I was told no manager. I only wanted a apology from the guy who made
me so embarrassed and physically put his hands on me. I’m a friendly non aggressive guy but he told staff he has no reason to apologise so I was told to email

We had a fantastic family holiday here in July. Rooms were spacious and modern, cleaned every day. We had a great view of the pool and sea from our veranda. Restaurants and bars walking distance (5 euro taxi into the centre of the strip). We loved the pool area- the food and cocktails from the poolside bar were excellent. All in all, a great holiday- we would definitely return.

Reception:5 wonderful people and service.
Entertainment :4 just good
Location :4 as mentioned when booking 20 minutes walk, little steep, opposite you have public transport for a few euro's you come everywhere.

Overall a gorgeous hotel, which I would highly recommend, the price and quality are far above average.

Great facilities nice staff slightly out of town

Enjoyed the stay, first time in the island so used this as a base to wander around. Note that it’s on a hillside so walking involves some ups and downs. Great breakfast buffet. Property is in two sections connected by a subterranean tunnel which I assume is to keep kids out of the road running between them. The larger section has facilities and kiddy pool, bar etc. the smaller section seemed more for apartments and had its own large pool. Both pools were deep (2m ish). There was some confusion about the inclusion of breakfast in our room rate but this was resolved (maybe double check this). A little dated, but good value and solid facilities. Apartment had a small kitchen with fridge microwave kettle and two ring stove plus some pans plates glasses etc. plenty of stores around for groceries, drinks. Town dominated by Irish bars and Irish visitors. We found great restaurant options beyond the ‘strip’. Beaches are a short hike away.

Ok a bit out of the way, sauna didn't work.

My first two nights were not good as had noisy next door, this can happen anywhere, they gave me another room for the next night and the rest of my stay was ok.

Missing a trick with not having sky in the bar area, spent quite a bit watching in bars, would have been nice in the hotel bar area.

Sauna, booking system, was easy and you can book in advance. However when I arrived it was not on and was switcched on but didn't seem to work. It's small for max 2 people. I don't think the lady in charge was bothered really.

There is a bus to the player grande area, very useful, not in the evening though. It's up a hill from old town, keeps you fit.

For the money it was ok

Professional staff, great location and values

We stayed during Christmas period and really appreciate the hard work of all staff at reception, restaurant etc to provide normal desk service, cleaning of our room, pool, and various kind of activities. Our door lock is also quickly repaired. They are very professional and friendly. It makes our holiday a pleasant stay.
Even our room is not the modern style, we are very happy with the layout with a living room and beautiful seaview/pool view at balcony. Great location, easy to walk around and we also took free shuttle to Playa Grande.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay here. The apartments are conveniently located (circa 10 min walk) from the old town with its lovely restaurants and bars. the appartments and complex are well maintained and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a real bonus delicious food with so many options to choose from. The staff were friendly and polite throughout our stay. We are already thinking about another short break to Lanzarote soon!! THB Flora will be top of the list when we search for accommodation.

Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Facilities are really good for all ages, pools are heated which was good for babies and the pool bar serves nice food. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis with fresh bedding and towels supplied. Only thing is the hotel is situated at the top of a steep hill however taxis cost between €5-8 to the main centre. Definitely would return!

Pleasantly surprised by the apartments. Great facilities. We ate at the pool bar and the food was lovely! 10 minutes walk into the old town. Free bus to the beach.
The apartment didn’t have many kitchen facilities, only a fridge microwave and kettle. There wasn’t anywhere to prepare food, but this wasn’t a problem as we ate out most days.

Firstly, the apartment was nothing like the pictures on Expedia.The apartment was like a hospital ward. No coffee sachets left. Front door not locking properly. Whilst the bedding looked clean, there were tiny ants crawling all over both beds. The appartment faced the main road, and dirty and unswept. There were a lot of cats in the back yard near the bedroom window, meowing all night. When I queried the apartment quality for the £130 for 1 night we stayed for, The receptionist, Carmen could not comment as she didnt know the value of her own hotel apartment! WE WERE GOING TO GET THE BUS BACK TO PLAYA BLANCA THAT NIGHT, BUT IT WAS VERY LATE, HOWEVER WE SURVIVED THE NIGHT.

Extremely poor customer service

Shockingly rude reception, had a sick child with me when trying to check in, took nearly 20 minutes while receptionist chatted to colleagues, dealt with other guests, while supposedly trying to find my details. To make matters worse I’d had to pay for the night before arrival anyways, and had emailed them to ask that since this was the case that my room be ready for check in from that morning. (Due to a flight change, had to stay an extra night as hotel said they couldn’t amend the booking 2 months before arrival as made with hotels.com.)
Couldn’t find email and was more concerned with my sick daughter, receptionist kept asking for the email when he could have just searched his mail for it.
Daughter was so sick that when we eventually got checked in and to our room, she vomited. Had pointed out to receptionist that she was sick, but he couldn’t have behaved worse.
Found the email and came back the next day to show it to him, and he doubled down on his rudeness and started arguing.

Have never experienced such bad behaviour in any hotel I’ve stayed in, needless to say I won’t be returning or staying in any of the THB hotels.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. Was quiet and comfortable overlooking the pool. Daily cleaning was hit and miss, some seemed to do the bare minimum ie make bed, empty trash and a quick wipe with the mop.

Reception were uninterested in the guests. Keycard for gate stopped working before check out. Advised reception staff but basically ignored us. No asking if we had a pleasant stay. Or wishing us a safe journey home. Just took the key. Goodbye!

Good hotel for a stay in Puerto Del Carmen. Room was light and airy, clean and welcoming. Cleaned daily. All inclusive food was satisfactory, drinks likewise. Small games room in hotel. Convenient to have a souvenir shop and food/drink shop in the hotel. Plenty of alternative dining options within walking distance. Old town 5 minute walk. Main strip 10/15 minute walk. Taxis are cheap enough and hotel were super good in arranging them for us everyday. The hotel is on a hill, expect incline walks if you plan on walking. Main pool is nice enough, there is a second pool also. I can’t really comment on evening entertainment we went out every night of stay. Day time entertainment is your typical water polo, aqua aerobics and water polo. It is a nice enough hotel. You get what you pay for. Expect 3 stars.

Cheap Cheerful but could do better

Stayed as a couple and booked a last minute get away. Choose the Flora because it seemed to have all we were after. Its cheap and cheerful but does need to be picked up on a few things. We stayed over the road and our apartment, room 312, was very dark and dingy. there isn't really a terrace and they are all one level so def no balcony's. People walk by you all day and you take a chance with leaving any washing out on the rack they provide. The lack of cups, bowls etc is a bit of a pain and room cleaning is a bit hit and miss. some days you get all the towels and some days you don't! The floor is left soaking so beware when walking straight in because it is very slippery. Also I don't know the reason for this but every day the beds were made with wet pillowcases. I had to dry ours with the hairdryer before going to bed.
Other than that it was absolutely fine and served its purpose.
The pools are lovely and they were quite warm when we were there (June) although the sides could've done with a scrub. The one across the road is the quiet one but both were nice. Its not part of the hotel but I would highly recommend Highlander.too bar just down the road for family games nights.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for my 21st birthday, was booked in Black Friday and amazing value for money. Really wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised and really can’t complain. I had emailed prior requesting if possible to have a sea view room as it was for my birthday and would have paid more for that option( it was with junior suite). They gave us such an amazing room, the view of the sunset and sea was unreal alongside a bottle of wine brought to the room on my birthday was a lovely touch.
We went for all inclusive, which I would really recommend as drinks were fairly expensive, a couple rounds each and 1 meal had already paid off the all inclusive. Also, half board doesn’t even include water, a couple we met were on half board and constantly having to try and sort water as they are really strict on keeping watch who is using the machines.
The food is fairly oily however very very nice. There was also different themes and meats every night. For 5 days it was great.
There is a bit of a walk to the beach, but in December it wasn’t too hot, so was a pretty manageable walk back up, however we are both fairly active and avoided the steepest bit.
Overall after reading some reviews I was really surprised, was an absolute bargain and would definitely recommend!

Very nice hotel.

Overall I loved my stay at the THB Flora. The rooms were very spacious and had everything I needed. Shower was amazing. The 2 swimming pools were great, personally I preferred the larger pool as it was quieter and more chilled out. The main pool by restaurant could get very busy. The free towels to use was a welcome bonus. The breakfast was outstanding and plenty of choice whatever your taste is. The snack bar was good and very reasonable. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. All the staff from cleaners, to bar staff to reception were very friendly and helpful.

The only downsides to my stay was the view from my room 236 (big tree, play area, road) although this couldn't be helped as hotel was fully booked and I didn't book until a few days before but the rooms with sea and pool view balcony looked amazing. Another issue was with the room cleanliness, on entering room on first day found a few long hairs in the shower and around toilet area, also there was a lot of fluff and dust coming out of the fan in bathroom. But overall the room was cleaned every day and fresh towels placed. And the only other downside was the location on top of a steep hill which made the walk back a bit of a struggle.

But overall a great hotel for the price I paid and would definitley stay again if I could guarantee a pool/sea view room.

First family holiday for us and it did not disappoint. Location was great and resort had lovely facilities. We took our 6 and 3 year old who had a great time in the pools and kids club. The animation team provided great entertainment for the kids and it was great having the option to put our 6yr old in the club. We ended up doing all inclusive on arrival and was very much worth the extra cost. It was also more cost effective adding all
Inclusive on arrival rather than through expedia. Great food and drink selection throughout they day. Reception, Restaurant and cleaning staff were all very friendly and super helpful. Genuinely don’t have a bad word to say. Great holiday and will happy stay here again.

Overall a nice stay and the bar staff was lovely. My bag was sadly stolen from my apartment. When I raised this as a concern yesterday, I was met with an unhelpful and dismissive response. No official complaints procedure and I was directed to report it to the police. My bag was full of clothes, cosmetics and personal belongings and it’s very upsetting for this to happen while on holidays.

I am just back from an 8 day solo trip to the flora hotel .. overall it was a fantastic experience. The room was spacious and comfortable. My sheets were changed regular and towels daily . Staff were so friendly especially the housekeeping staff .. a supermarket on site was ideal .. pool was freezing but I spent a lot of my days on the beach which was a short stroll away .. overall I would definitely book this hotel again

Very bare-bones accommodation, with difficult access to simple rooms - and tricky off-site parking. The staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful - but everything in the room seemed to be deteriorating. The bed was a brick. One of the worst I have ever slept on. And the walls were paper-thin. I spent my time blocking out the sound of babies crying and couples chatting.

Good place. Upgraded to all inclusive at 45 euro a day which was worth the money. Drinks were good although plastic cups outside. The hotel is nice, the rooms are spacious and the one facing the pool are really nice since you can see the sea. The service is so and so. First of all the breakfast is various but the quality is not that good and after 1 week stay you get a bit bored about the food the offer. In terms of staff, people at the reception are not very nice, I didn’t feel they were gently replying to my requests, except from Carlos - he is a real professional! Also, if you were not asking things in the morning it seemed that people working at night couldn’t do any operation in the system! So, for a 3* it is in general good but for a long stay I would think it twice.

Great hotel, have stayed there many times and would again. Be warned it is at top of steep hill, but taxis are cheap and they do have courtesy bus to take you to main avenue and back during day. The old town bars/restaurants just at bottom of hill and a selection near buy if you don’t want to venture that far. Main pool area can get very busy. Rooms are clean and fairly newly renovated would prefer a slightly firmer mattress but that is preference. Pool bar is geared towards all inclusive so drinks served in plastic beakers and not full pint so expensive compared to many bars in area. Bus stops just outside so easy to get around island or tours. I’m already looking forward to next return trip.

We have just returned from the flora hotel after a 5 day stay on a half board basis. On arrival at reception we were able to check straight into our room in the afternoon; we were given a room on the annex side of the hotel which appeared to be all self catering apartments as we had a fully fitted kitchen. When entering the room it appeared a bit dark, dingy and an unpleasant smell. The entrance to the room was a sliding door which seemed very difficult to closed, it took effort and also was fiddly to lock. After going out for the first evening when we returned to the room there was a leak coming from the ceiling ! We went over to reception at 11pm to be told to come back in the morninf and that they would change our rooms ; i asked why we couldn’t move rooms there and then as we did not feel comfortable staying there with the leak to which the lady responded “ no other rooms are clean at the moment so I can’t move you “ “ I’m just a receptionist “. So we put up with it and went back the next morning. The annex part was linked to the main hotel via a tunnel underground which was a little walk especially being half board having to walk across for meals etc. There was 2 pools one in the annex part of the hotel which was more quiet ; but no atmosphere or access to any refreshments , ice creams etc.
The next morning when we went to reception we were greeted by a kind Spanish man who was very helpful. He reassured us and was able to accommodate us a room in the main hotel part

Very nice hotel. Good food and drinks selection. Friendly helpful staff generally.

Walls are a bit thin.

Hotel reception didnt deal very well with a difficult situation for another guest. Not confident that this hotel looks after the safety of guests.

We were in the quiet part flora 2 good size rooms, always being cleaned around site, really friendly staff. Lots of sunbeds and great pool area in flora 1 and 2,food great they had Mexican night, pork chops, lamb chops also fish and chicken dish every night

Excellent value for money. Cannot fault room, staff or food. Well stocked supermarket on site. Quiet location, but fairly hilly situation, not ideal for people with mobility problems. Evening entertainment ok.
My past job in travel included H&S checks. Marble floors in reception/restaurant were slippery at times. The main steps from reception down to pool/restaurant area had no hand rail. Yellow paint warnings at bottom of all steps to be renewed. Difficult to see steps in dark. But I had a great time. Will definitely return.

The rooms are very nice, and the stay in the room was enjoyable. But staff are very loud waking you most morning shouting across the road. The guests keep really quiet but the staff don’t seem to respect you holiday I did not argue with any of the staff but felt they were rude and comments unacceptable. Don’t get me wrong there are some good people in the hotel but a shame they feel it okay to act this way we see the cleaners going home with plenty of the hotels toilet roll cloths soap ect when around the hotel they hide off camera or out of people side in the toilets befor the walk home loved the holiday but felt my holiday was ruined I asked for our money back or a new hotel they provide free all inclusive but as felt unwelcome had 1 breakfast a burger and 2 drinks the whole time I hope you take these comments on bird and try change as I loved the place but the staff make me question coming back.
