Hotel muito especial na Cidade de São Lourenço, possui uma estrutura gigantesca com muuuito espaço.
Checkin e checkout perfeito em um fim de semana fora de temporada, possui um bom estacionamento limitado mas coberto em um galpão no outro lado da rua.
A equipe é sempre agradável e está pronta pra ajudar, os quartos atendem muito bem e apesar de precisar de uma renovação são bem confortáveis e espaçosos, fiquei eu e esposa com 2 crianças e no quarto tinha ainda um sofá cama para mais 2 se precisasse, no banheiro banheira com hidromassagem.
O parque aquático incluso tem 3 toboáguas muito divertidos para as crianças e para os grandinhos, uma piscina com correnteza e fonte e mais uma piscina adulto e uma infantil. Nos andares inferiores ainda há uma piscina coberta e aquecida com hidromassagem, um luxo delicioso.
Para os que querem descansar várias mesas e espreguiçadeiras tornam o dia muito prazeiroso a beira das piscinas. Detalhe que apesar da água verde de poço assustar a primeira vista, a equipe explica que a água é de poço, e tem tom esverdeado mesmo.
A alimentação do hotel é simples, mas o que falta em variedade sobra no sabor. Todos se alimentaram muito bem, no café da manhã, almoço e jantar.
As festas temáticas no final de semana com comidas típicas são muito boas e pra quem gosta tem música ao vivo com área para dança, muito animado.
Os passeios externos são todos intermediados pela recepção, simples e rápido.

Já frequentamos o hotel há muitos anos, a estrutura é boa e o atendimento simpático e prestativo. Considero que o diferencial fica por conta da piscina térmica e da recreação nos finais de semana. O enxoval de cama, mesa e banho deixa a desejar, precisa ser renovado com urgência, tira um pouco do \"brilho\" do hotel. O café da manhã é muito bom. Almoço e jantar são saborosos, mas tem poucas opções, no entanto é possível pedir uma porção de batatas fritas ou um filé de frango empanado, por exemplo, o que ajuda bastante, principalmente com as crianças.

E alguns detalhes simples não são levados em consideração, como por exemplo, o salão de jogos - peças faltantes, peças em péssimo estado - exemplos: raquetes de ping pong praticamente sem condições de uso, jogo de xadrez faltando metade das peças, duas mesas de sinuca com somente dois tacos disponíveis (!) e com bolas faltantes em ambas as mesas.

Frequento o Hotel Guanabara/Universal há uns vinte anos, desde que meus filhos eram crianças. Porém, fiqui cinco anos sem ir. A equipe de funcionários, a comida, as festas continuam excelentes. Entretanto, quanto às condições dos móveis dos apartamentos, roupas de cama, toalhas, piscinas e algumas outras instalações do hotel merecem ser repensadas, pois aparentam não serem remodelados ou substituidos( roupas de cama, toalhas e móveis) . Uma pena. Torço para que a Administração do Hotel atente para estes detalhes, pois percebi que aqueles hóspedes tradicionais, que todos os anos encontrávamos, ja não frequentam o hotel. E outros com quem conversei pensam em hospedagem em outros hotéis da cidade. Uma pena.Destaco a cortesia da equipe de funcionários, principalmente do garçom Sr. João, educado e muito solícito.
