The W is known for its high quality and the W Santiago lives up to this excellence. I wish I could live there! The room was beautiful and romantic, the roof deck was great for a late drink, the breakfast was excellent as is the dining area. Even the food at 3 am was top quality. I loved the whole experience and will stay at the W again soon

The hotel is located in a lovely and clean and safe area of Santiago. They have a phenomenal rooftop bar with an amazing view that you need to visit at least once if not twice. Every staff member was amazing and willing to help and go out of their way to help. Special mention to Lucas one of the concierge members who was incredibly attentive. We had a great experience here

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room however had some shortcomings - no proper reading lights by the bed, and aircon was poor and difficult to adjust, resulting in the room being a little stuffy at times. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was chaotic - we had to sit in an overflow area.

The W is a little old and tired looking as per other reviews it could use some modernisation but overall its a great place to stay. However the Concierge team are pretty rubbish, messed up bookings and the hotel charges you 19% in USD tax if you don't have a credit card to take payment. a bit ridiculous and wont allow you to charge anything to your room without a deposit paid in USD that they give you back Pesos for if you dont spend the deposit across your stay,

This was our first visit to Santiago. The service, friendliness and willingness to be of help at the W was outstanding. Food was excellent. Our upgraded room and its views was Amazing. The property is showing its age a little and could use a makeover and new, less soft mattresses. The location to shopping and restaurants is perfect. We would definitely stay again !

Really friendly staff from start to finish. Super comfortable room with huge shower. Top quality breakfast selection. Hotel layout is a bit annoying in that you have to take three different sets of lifts to get to different areas. Some of the decor felt a bit dated. Pool bar / food menu was poor. Hotel is in a really nice part of Santiago, close to bars and restaurants.

The decor is tired and needs a refurbishment, there was none of the 'wow' factor that W's are meant to provide. The breakfast buffet was very poor, there was a lot of food but it was poor quality and poorly presented. Staff at the rooftop bar were very good, but other staff seemed not to care about much. And in this day and age, a hotel still using toiletries in small disposable bottles is really disappointing.

Las habitaciones son muy oscuras, los halls de las habitaciones parecen un motel. Lo unico que me parecio lindo es la zona del desayuno y el desayuno esta rico. El precio del hospedaje me parecio excesivo para lo que ofrece el hotel. Para ponerlos en contexto me salio mucho mas costo que el Mandarin Oriental un hotel superior al W. No volveria a hospedarme en este hotel, ni en otro W, cobran como si fueran 5 estrellas y realmente no lo son.

We stayed here for a night after a cruise. The hotel is in a modern office building in a nice residential/ business area. I felt safe walking around. The rooftop pool was a good feature - it was long enough for laps but not wide. The pool area is nice, though it got a bit crowded on Saturday afternoon. The has a “happening” type vibe. Rooms were large and convenient. The breakfast was good. It is a short distance to La Golf Metro.

As instalações são modernas bem decoradas e agradáveis. O ponto negativo foi que ao tentar frequentar o bar do roof top fomos barrados pois o local estava reservado para um evento externo. Achei isto um absurdo pois os locais de eventos devem ser separados dos locais frequentados pelos hóspedes que pagaram pela sua completa utilização.

Rude restaurant staff and pigwash served as milk

Our two breakfasts were a traumatising experience. Service was shockingly bad. Never came across a more rude waiter: looking daggers at you, talking down and pulling faces at you. And after all of this appalling treatment, dirty, milky water was served as milk to be had with porridge. All issues raised with restaurant manager. The following day, thankfully no more pigwash was served, but we waited 45 minutes to be served anything.
At each step they kept trying to make us sign bills, even if we had prepaid all of our extras.

Few missing aspects

Nice hotel in a good area but unfortunately staff wasn’t clicking at all times. With exception of Juan Pablo at the restaurant everyone else seemed to work very much in a silo. Called room service for 2 bottles of water at 10pm and had to walk down myself at 11:30 after 3 follow up calls and no one showing up. Also front desk did a poor job at I’ll advising on a welcome benefit I had from a separate reservation, stating it can be applied to my entire stay.

The most remarkable thing about the stay here was the customer service. The staff was without doubt the most polite and accommodating hotel staff I have ever dealt with. They helped me make special arrangements for a marriage proposal and arranged a private driver from the airport. Every question I asked was answered with a smile with no hint of the irritation that enters the voice of so many people involved in customer service. I thank the staff for making this a wonderful stay

I loved everything about this property - lots of great local touches, like the artwork having The Andes featured, great local designer boutiques, excellent staff, but, the roof top bar/ pool/ igloos is incredible. It feels like you are literally on top of the world looking out over the Andes. The food was also good.

The rooms are very big with great view. Several options of restaurants and amazing location. I was able to get an early check in which was great. The only thing I don´t recommend is the Eggs benedicts - 16k for ONE COLD egg with all the ingredients that are free at the breakfast, I felt robbed and fooled.

Great modern hotel. Full service concierge, always helpful. Delicious breakfast and one of the best fitness rooms. Location next to many great restaurants.

Only one recommendation for the hotel - add a door between the sink and shower area and the bed area. If the room is dark the light from this area wakes up the whole room, plus one can watch your fellow guests shower from the beds and desk area (through the mirror across from the shower.)

This is a beautiful property, stylish & modern, located in a wonderful neighborhood. We had a corner room on the 6th floor. Loved the bathroom tub & shower, and the room was well-stocked including gluten free snacks. Pool on 21st floor must be experienced. Indoor/outdoor restaurant was lovely for breakfast & dinner. But the staff, at every level, was the best! No request was too great and they ALL went consistently above & beyond expectations. The conceierge literally ran down the street after us to re-unite my partner with his (forgotten) cell phone! They were always ready with a bottle of water or a helpful suggestion. I cannot recall experiencing this level of service in any hotel in years! Also, very nice to have an English speaking staff and a selection if English speaking tv channels.

Music from the club kept us up all night, the biggest downside. The room was cool, except for poorly installed door handles and a few glitches. Otherwise, the hotel is chic and trendy, and the food/restaurants were great.

This is a really nice hotel to stay in with first class staff who make you feel very welcome. Lovely views of the Andes and City from our hotel room. The thing that stands out the most about this hotel that all the staff from the minute you walk in are there to help you. The breakfast set you up well for the day and the lobby had a real buzz about it. Thank you for taking care of us we had a great stay.

Great Hotel in a great location

This is among the best hotels i've stayed at anywhere in the world. We booked the \"Fantastic Suite\" which was perfect for us as a couple travelling with our 12 YO son as the room divides nicely to give good privacy. The room was large enough to store our luggage including a large bag containing skis, and still feel very comfortable. Bottled water was provided daily. The staff at the hotel were sensational, Tomas and all the concierge staff organised tours and transport as well as restaurant bookings and nothing was too much trouble. The bar and restaurants are awesome, and the hotel is located close to many of the great restaurants of Santiago which we really enjoyed visiting. I would definitely stay here again on any subsequent trip to Santiago.

Only 3 weeks before we stayed at the W Koh Samui which was incredible, so we expected the same kind of experience. Needless to say this didn’t happen.
We were asked to sign a form to pay $20,000 Chilean pesos as we asked for a kettle to be bought up to our room so we could have a cup of tea! We asked one of the concierges to book us a trip to the Andes, when I checked back with him 4 hrs later he said the phones were engaged and he couldn’t get through but would let us know - he never did. We arranged our trip trough another concierge who was actually great!
When we checked out, they didn’t ask us how our experience was, they didn’t care, all they asked was if we’d had anything from the minibar. Not even asking us if we would like help in getting the airport by calling a cab.
Very very ordinary.

Somethings could be improved: my room was made late in the afternoon, on Sunday morning the a door knock at 9:30 am asking if I needed to replenish the mini bar.....

Rudest staff, terrible experience

The staff at the W Hotel Santiago could not be more rude and unaccommodating. I arrived after 36 hours of travel from a backpacking trip looking forward to a relaxing stay at this property. Upon check in, the front desk attendant was abrasive. When I asked to add late check out to my room, we got into an argument about whether I would pay another full day rate. (For reference, SPG's policy is half day rate until 5pm). The manager joined the conversation and was equally as rude and indifferent as the attendant. It was clear there was no attempt being made to make my stay either enjoyable or comfortable. The following day, I booked a spa service, which was one of the worst services I've ever received at any spa or hotel property. The masseuse was on her phone the entire time and would abruptly stop the service to reply to text messages. When I tried to discuss the issue, the hotel said the spa is unaffiliated (even though my services are billed back to my room) and they could/would not do anything to rectify the situation. Furthermore, even my interactions with the room service staff were rude. All in all, I only had one pleasant interaction during my entire stay and that was with the Concierge who went above and beyond to be helpful. I will NEVER be staying at this property again and will rethink my loyalty to the W Hotel brand as a whole as a result of this experience.

Not a 5 star in my opinion

Nice hotel in the lobby and other main attraction areas. The rooms however are sub par. I spent nearly $300 usd a night for a week and it was just alright. There was nothing \"spectacular\" about the spectacular view room I had. I expected more to be honest. There were several reasons why I rated this so poorly. I guess if you have money to throw away, this is the hotel for you.

I'll start with the room issues. I ordered two Queen beds and got to full beds instead. I guess the 6 inch difference in Chile is different than the USA.

The shower knob fell off the handle the first day. The shower hot water would get hot then warm, hot then warm. It wouldn't stay a consistent temperature.

One of the door stops fell off during my stay.

The privacy of a hotel in Chile is different than thst of the US. If your expectations are nice and tranquil evening's, not the place for you here. People next door blaring music and having parties was an issue.

Don't think about ordering room service unless your prepared to pay...a club sandwich and fries, and a small steak, was $42.00

2 regular cans of Coca-Cola was 4$ each from the bar. You can go a block away and get 1.5 liter for a $1.50

Breakfast if your interested in that was 27,500.00 pesos which is roughly $42.50 usd. So so selection...and they say it closes at 11:00 however, there is very little selection left if you cruise in on a late breakfast. They are already breaking down the breakfast area around 10:30.

Wonderful place for visiting Santiago

I was traveling for work and brought my wife and daughter along. Concierge were wonderful helping them plan day trips while I was working. And the Ski trip when I was done was GREAT. Places to eat, things to do - so very helpful. All of the staff were what you would expect from the W but I thought the service was above normal even for the W. Third time I have been to this hotel in Santiago, will not be my last.

Put simply - a wonderful hotel in a great location. Clean, good service, nice bar and restaurant and an excellent attached gym. Most hotel gyms are awful - this one was excellent.

The rooftop bar and pool area was excellent and the breakfast also had a Bloody Mary station. I think I want to live there.

I have travelled extensively around the world and if I can, I always choose W Hotels. This one may be my favourite :)

Very Good Hotel...but some improvement is needed!

Went there for my 5 year anniversary...!!! Great hotel in a great location with great service especially from Andrés, Alejandra, Felipe, Rocío from Whatever-Whenever. But, being a 5 star hotel there were some issues we encounter, that to me are not acceptable. Went out on day one of our stay and upon our return the room had not been cleaned. We called and requested a hotel car to take us to a restaurant and were told the car would be waiting for us, but 15 minutes later when we went downstairs there was no car available. The A/C was not working and the room was hot; the technician came and explained that it was because the sun was hitting the window, in the evening with no sun it was still hot and the A/C just stopped working all together at some point. We went out and by the time we came back it was fixed for that night; but again it was not working the next day. Second night we returned from our day out and this time the room was made but the shower was not cleaned. We went downstairs and ordered dinner at the lounge since all restaurants closed on Sunday, we were brought a wrong dish and the waitress insisted it was what we ordered...later she came and apologized explaining the kitchen was busy and had made a mistake and after a while she brought us the dish we actually ordered. I hope the W works out these issues...if it was a 4 star hotel I would not have taken the time to write a review, but being a 5 star hotel the expectation is that they deliver spot on.

Modern hotel in business area

Check in was efficient and friendly. Visited the rooftop bar, a touch intimidating, staff seem more concerned you have the right to be there. Very sharp with the bill as well, its pay as you drink. Great view though. Rooms are great, when you get to them. You have to run the maze of lifts, most movements involve at least two lifts.
Restaurants are fine though a touch expensive. Although tea and coffee takeaway at breakfast is complimentary we were charged for two of the days.
One thing to be careful about is checking out I wanted to use the remains of my Chilean currency. Doing that involves a 20% surcharge on your bill. Obviously they prefer US $.
Overall I would stay again.

The W was great, as it always is! Trendy, excellent service, good food, spacious rooms.

The only reason for 4 stars is that I thought the pool area was too small for the amount of people and the spa treatments weren't so good. Otherwise, the hotel was good and I would recommend it.,
