Expedia's virtual card declined and made the proceess so difficult. He said it happens all the time with expedia. The front desk person was amazing! Everything else was great!
Jose
Everything about this place was enjoyable. The staff was extremely welcoming, and the property was immaculately clean.
Debbie
I specifically reserved this hotel because it was listed online as dog friendly. In fact, to this day it still is. When I checked into the hotel, I told the person at the front desk that I had a dog. He told me I would need to pay the \"pet fee\", which I was happy to do. At first I was told it was $20.00, then I was told it was $25.00, and then after the front desk person shuffled some papers under the desk, I was told it was $30.00, which I gladly paid. However, I thought to myself that this was propably not going to be a good experience. After having my dog in and out several times past the front desk, upon leaving the hotel later in the early evening I was approached by the front desk person and possibly a manager (female) and was then told that they were in fact NOT a dog friendly hotel. I explained that I would never have made a reservation there if I had know that and was up front about having a dog when I checked in. They also told me that they had not been dog friendly for three years. That seemed a little odd, since the front desk clerk did not know anything about that. There was dark black long hair all over the bathroom and in general the room did not appear to be clean or kept up.
Sheryl
Dark exterior and interior. Smelled bad. Very old and out of date. No automatic doors. Struggled getting in with all luggage. Then found out they have no elevator and we were on 2nd floor. Struggled to get everything to the 2nd floor. Carpet in room had several gross looking stains by bed. We did not feel comfortable or safe staying in this creepy place. One of the WiFi selections was Big D-ck Energy, which confirmed even more that we were not in a good place Wanted out the first night but couldn't find a place to go. Contacted hotels.com for refund. They did give a partial refund but that was it.
Kaitly
Worst staff and help ever. Came to hotel for my sons birthday to swim there was no water in the pool then they couldn’t even find one of my reservations so I was stuck within room unless I wanted to pay again for another. Then I was promised a refund and no refund at all not even for the reservation that they couldn’t find and I had the confirmation number that they didn’t wanna look up. Left to pay for two other rooms didn’t even stay at the hotel and the hotel hotel.com or chime didn’t wanna refund me anything.

Robert
Had a great time. Was peaceful
Richard
Convenient area, friendly staff.
NICHOLAS
The hotel literally smells, from the moment you enter the lobby. The rooms smell even worse; all three rooms occupied by my party smelled awful. The toilet seat in my bathroom was loose and sitting on it was an adventure. The shower head was not adjustable and had low pressure. We spent three nights and in that time the maid changed the towels once, and never made the bed. The breakfast eggs looked too sketchy to try; the sausages and gravy were cold.
ALFONZO
Staff was good at ac
Russ
I felt safe on your property. The room was clean!

Great
Nikki
Homecoming weekend in Auburn
Very basic, rooms needs updating, hotel needs updating and some TLC. We booked our visit semi-last minute for homecoming weekend, so there were not many choices for places to stay. They also were clearly price gouging for what we paid in comparison to quality of hotel. It did the job for the weekend, but it’s definitely not some place I’d choose to stay again.
RUSSELL
In Opelika for a bourbon festival and this motel was very convenient to the festival and restaurants.
Halchervene
Laundry room was out of order
Jennifer
Great for a quick place to rest and get a good night’s sleep. Staff is friendly and location is convenient but quiet.

Older facility and laid out like an old school hotel, but it had been recently renovated. The room was clean, property was well kept and conveniently located. It was very basic and met my needs. I would stay here again.

Jkchunggs s review
Very good
Lea
Very nice place to stay at a reasonable rate.
Amanda
Beware! The positive reviews on Expedia are not accurate and are quite misleading. The hotel is dated and dirty. Our room had a horrible smell that was so strong we were unable to sleep. The sheets on one of the beds were stained. The sink did not drain when water was turned on. The shower was moldy. Carpet was stained and threadbare in parts. We tried to call front desk about something only to discover that the phone is a decorative prop and did not actually connect to a phone line! Staff was very pleasant but we relied on reviews in choosing this hotel and feel completely misled about this property.
William
Staff was kind. However, room smelled like mill dew. The toilet handle had to be held down for 30 seconds to operate.
Jameshia
Older property but very clean and nice staff. The only issue we had was the staff expecting tips to make waffles at the “self serve” waffle station during breakfast.
Marla
The hotel was very well kept. Our King room was large and very clean. The hotel was about a 20 min car ride with Auburn game traffic. The hotel was a very good for the price. I would definitely book this hotel when checking out a
Auburn game.
Auburn game.
Rachael
We loved this Best Western. I'm a hotel snob and this place was truly clean and the staff so kind. I'd stay here again anytime.

Shortly after checking in and entering our room, a small cockroach scurried across the bottom of the frame around the bathroom mirror.
The room also had a faint urine smell on one side of the bed with the nightstand askew like an attempt to clean the smell was made.
The power went out randomly around 330am and stayed off for about a half hour.
The breakfast consisted of premade frozen then microwaved egg patties and other equally as gross looking frozen foods. All accompanied by a very loud and boisterous “waitress” fishing for tips and trying to “help” where help wasn’t needed. If we wanted a loud breakfast with a waitress we’d go to a restaurant. Not what you’re hoping to experience waking up first thing after a terrible night of sleep when you just want to have your coffee in quiet.
The checkout staff didn’t even bother asking how the stay was upon check out or I would have informed them of the above listed issues then.
Overall, I would not recommend. I’ll pay the extra $20 next time and stay at the La Quinta or Holiday Inn.

The property was a little dated. Staff could have been more friendly.

When we arrived to the hotel, the front desk employee was very friendly and helpful, and as we asked for a vending machine to get bottled water, he offered us bottled water. The problems started when we enter our bedroom. It was musty and immediately I developed allergies. We tried turning on the TV and it wouldn't work. We tried the internet, and it wasn't working. We went to the front office, and the new employee told us that internet had just gone down and he called their IT person and would be fixed within an hour (it was around 9:30 pm). He came to our bedroom to check the TV, and he was unable to make it work. He said there was nothing he could do because there were no more tv's available as they were full, and that this was a new tv (unfortunately, it was not, you could see the dust caked in the back of the tv). He took my husband's ipad for about 45 minutes to try to get internet on it. In the mean time, I went to use the bathroom, and there was hair (from shaving) in the bathtub and all over the floor behind the door. Needless to say, I went to the front office, again, to tell him the bathroom was dirty, and to collect our ipad, which he was unable to provide internet for. He filmed the hair and apologized and said he was going to let the manager know. The next morning, when we went to breakfast, the first bite to my egg, it had a hair on it. Not a good experience. Never heard from a manager.

The lady helping at the breakfast is perfect for that job! She was very helpful, joyful, and great at making waffles!
The finishings were ok for an older hotel and it was clean. We didn't like the musty smell and feel.

The door was not closed all the way when we arrived, we only had to push it open. Realised three other times that the door was not properly closing. Seems to be an issue with the lock not going in the hole to secure the door to a locked position, unless forcing in myself. Secondly, something bit me on my back around 4:30am which woke me up with a burning and itching sensation. It is very wept up, red around the area with a dark center today. If no better by tomorrow, I may have to go to the doctor cause it looks like a possible spider bite.
