Breakfast was super good and was good when we were in a hurry to get out the door! Our room was clean and plenty of room for my toddler to run and play! We left the early to check out and the hotel called and asked if we left a bag because they found a child’s bag in the parking lot and were calling guest traveling with children so they didn’t forget it. It wasn’t ours but I thought it was awesome they were doing their best to track down the owner! Great hotel no complaints! We will definitely stay there again!

My husband and i got the room with the king bed. The room was very clean, and spacious.
The bathroom and shower were also very clean.
This was a perfect location for our needs, and pretty much close to everything.

We normally love to stay a this hotel as it is nice and the staff is kind. We were disappointed to find out that the pool was out of order when we arrived. We were given the option to use a pool at another hotel that was about 15 minutes away, which we tried, but the water there was freezing!! Other than the pool issues, we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was quiet. In room fridge and TV worked. Bed was comfortable. A/C was glitchy. The entire lobby has a very strong sewer smell- upper floors a bit less, but still noticeable. Towels and linens are threadbare. Showers were cold on days they had many guests. This hotel is right outside the stadium tunnel and a 20min walk to stadium.

We have stayed here before and been satisfied. This time the conditions were much worse. The smell in the lobby was awful, the ice makers were out of service, we had no fire alarm in our room, there were no washcloths, no extra toilet paper, no soap, no hot water in the shower. The fitted sheet didn’t fit/ was off. The man at the front desk was courteous, it wasn’t his fault. Will be looking for a different hotel next time.

I had to change rooms. The original room didn’t gave a closet rack. The second room sheets had washed/dried blood stains and the air didn’t work well. Carpetin throughout was stained and poorly patched, 1 ice machine was functioning, the elevator broke down, and after I confirmed the stay, Expedia indicated the pool is out of service (non-refundable stay) because why should I pay more per person for premium rates for a sub-standard facility???

Room had a very musty smell to it. The A/c was set to 76 when we arrived so the room was ridiculously warm. The front desk clerk reaked of weed and acted as though we interrupted him staring at his phone. The pull out couch was covered in white mold and horrible stains. There was no extra bedding in the room to be able to use it, and again the front desk guy ignored the 3 times we tried to call and when I went down to ask for it, was told it's locked up and I don't have a key. Overall, will not recommend to any family or friends. Will never stay again.

Around 4:30 PM there was a smell of raw sewage in the hallways and the lobby. When we return later in the evening, it was so bad it made me sick to my stomach. Unbelievable a hotel of this quality would not be able to address this situation better than it did. I have to put towels at my door to try to block the smell from coming in.

The property is absolutely terrible... other than the location. The hotel smells like sewage, the elevator intermittently works, the ice machine barely worked, delt with a barking dog above me, and the fire alarm continuously went off. The fire department showed up to check things out. However, it did not fix the problem. I had enough and checked out a day early. The hotel has refused to reimburse for for one of my 3 nights there. I have contacted both Expedia and BW about the terrible conditions of the hotel. Very poor management. I would suggest spending a few more dollars and staying at a better property.

Be warned - not worth the guaranteed money!!!!

The afternoon when I walked in there was used exercise equipment placed outside the entrance to the hotel. The lobby check in area had circulation fans blowing everywhere to help with the AC not working and also to remove a horrible smell in the area. Upon checking in, the room had a smell of wet dogs throughout the time I was in the room. Upon looking for ice, I found the half used machine not in service, I had to search the entire hotel before I was directed to an area behind some machines. The pool was closed by the local Health Department, and half drained, with items floating on the water. I stayed out of the room as much as possible until I had to sleep, the bed was fine, but the humidity in the room was unbearable. I showered and left as soon as possible the next morning.

The pool was closed and had an order from the health department closing it down. The entire place has a horrible hot sewage sulphur smell. We literally held our nose while we ran from the car to the elevator. Very old outdated 'technology', although I wouldn't even consider it technology.

Overall a good stay. I am sensitive to strong smells and our room had a very strong “chemically clean” smell. I was able to open a window to air it out. The tile entryway and bathroom had a heavy, greasy film that was slippery like it had been mopped with too much cleaner and not properly rinsed. Biscuits were very hard at breakfast. Other than that, it was fine. Staff is very friendly.

The sewer gas smell was absolutely intolerable and when the elevator was not working, no sign was posted. We found out by hear people talk about it. The solution to the sewer smell was to spray a deodorizer. For having to pay over two hundred dollars s night, we should have been compensated with a discount. One more thing, they should vacuum the stairs more frequently. I very seldom comment but the sewer gas smell is totally unacceptable. Probably will not stay at another Best Western.

We were in area to shop and celebrate a birthday. Planned on using the nicely advertised pool and hot tub only to find out the pool has been closed for months. Had we known we would have stayed elsewhere. Elevator and halls had a strange smell. Tile floor in our room was sticky to walk on.

Don’t Count on the Hotel to Compensate Any

It wasn’t a good stay from the air no working good in either room cause I had to move rooms. It was hit in the elevator. The first morning me and my family was awaken at 7am by the smoke detector beeping loud for no reason. Had to listen to it till I was moved to another room, after I had to call the front desk again. Although I was told the manager would call me when she got in at 7am, no call. Moved us to room 304, where the air was not working well I. That room sitting on 60 and the tv did not work I. That room.

Horrible Sulfur Smell

Check in went good. When we arrived to our floor which was the 2nd floor, we noticed a very strong sulfur smell as soon as you got off the elevator. The smell continued into our room. After one night of dealing with this we asked to change rooms, which they nicely did and when we asked about the sulfur smell, they acted like they had no clue and would check into this. Once we got to our new room and floor, the 3rd floor the smell wasn’t as bad. Once we woke up the next morning, the sulfur smell was coming strong out of our bathroom and into our room.
This continued during the length of our stay and other people were complaining also.
And the pool does not work. That’s the 1st thing they tell you when you check in.
Other than the horrible sulfur smell, the front desk was friendly and the breakfast was decent and hotel was in a convenient location.

It was disappointing. The main reason we chose this hotel was because of the pool, and word of mouth, of course. The pool was shutdown for 2 full days. We could never get a truthful answer to why. Come to find out a guest who stays there every weekend told us it had been broke for over a month. I feel that was something that should’ve been disclosed before checking us in. The most helpful people were the one housekeeper & the lady who ran the lounge. The one front desk man knew nothing. He avoided every question. He didn’t want us to use cash at the front desk for candy because he had already counted the drawer for the night.
Our shower was broke and would not turn hot. I told the front desk girl the morning after we checked in and she said she’d have someone look into it. There was no follow through.
We left a name & number for the owner to call us. Apparently he was there that day having a meeting. The only call we ever received back was from an amazing housekeeper. She was the only honest one there.

We have stayed at this hotel before without any issues. However, our last stay from 2/9 to 2/10 was less than ideal. There was a loud party in the bar that lasted until after midnight. When my husband finally went to the front desk, the staff member there told me there was nothing she could do and that it was up to the bar manager. When the bar manager came over, she claimed that the bar is officially open until 1am and that nothing could be done as long as customers were present. The problem is that the foyer area where the bar is located opens up to the second floor, making it impossible for both first and second floor guests to sleep while the loud party is going on. If this is indeed the hotel policy, this "feature" needs to be properly disclosed.

Things did quiet down eventually, but we had a long drive ahead of us the next day, and the only reason we paid for our room was to have an uninterrupted night of sleep. Not being able to sleep until well after midnight and having to walk down to the front desk to argue with the hotel staff was not part of the plan. I welcome the hotel representative to clarify their hotel quiet hours policy.
