This property was very disappointing. The common areas were extremely unclean, and there was a strong odor throughout the building. The listing did not indicate that the environment would smell like smoke, which made the experience uncomfortable. I reached out to the hotel and to Hotels.com about the condition of the room, but neither was willing to offer a resolution. Based on my experience, the condition of the property did not match what was presented on the booking site.

My toilet seat wasn't fixed and the trash wasn't taken out when housekeeping came by but everything else was ok. I don't complain, really. I usually take out the trash myself. Staff and housekeeping staff are always friendly. Probably just overlooked or backed up with maintenance calls. Cool people. I'll be back.

I didn't even stay and sleep the room I had 289 had a blood stain in front of the bathroom. The couch is black from grease all on the arm rest. The TV is to small for the room but would have been bearable if the security had came with a working remote. The blankets were not clean as I found hairs and stains on both along with mattress stains and tears in the bed skirt. Morning wrong with being hotel that's not modernized but this place is beyond accurate as described.

We were unable to stay at this hotel because of how unsafe it was for my son to breathe. The cloudy haze of marijuana and cigarette smoke made it difficult to breath and made my sons lungs hurt. We had reserved a two bedroom room and were given a room with only one bed.

You know how people have a top 3 list of something? This ranks third in my bottom 3. I've been to worse hotels, but this one was a great contender to the other two. I don't know where to start. It was loud, it was extremely dirty, and walking down the halls felt like walking into a dive bar or down the street where bums urinate frequently. Though we had a non-smoking room, the entire place smelled like stale cigarettes and deep regret. ZERO amenities or basic hotel items like toothpaste, shampoo, iron, etc. You have to go to the front desk and pay them for those things... Which they didn't have on-hand. They took my I'd and a ten dollar deposit for the use of a hair dryer and an iron, but never provided the hair dryer. Their vending machine me gave the wrong items and they had no drinking water.

The \"renovations\" we're done by... Well... Let's just say you get what you pay for. The got water and cold water knobs were reversed and only half the water actually came out of the showerhead. The temperature fluctuates, so while you showered, it was back and forth between really hot and really cold water the entire time, no rhyme or reason.

Housekeeping left trash from the previous guest on the floor in the bathroom, so that was awesome. I highly suggest you keep your shoes on the entire time, the carpets look like they survived a nuclear blast and the top blankets were probably purchased in the mid 80s and are faded and threadbare.

Management? Same caliber and quality.

The property was gross. The hallways smelled horrible of smoke. Inside the room, it was so loud that I could hear people 3 rooms away, and then non stop construction sounds in the rooms above me or around me, with drilling or some other machine sounds going on. The pillows on the bed were cheap and would not have worked for me. I knew that with the noise and condition of the room, I wouldn’t be able to sleep there and so I did not actually stay more than 1.5 hours at the place. Because of the cancellation policy I did not even challenge the reservation. Bullet proof glass on the clerks desk should have been a sign. Creepy hallways. I mean, if someone wanted a creepy vibe stay, this would be a place for that.

Do not stay here! It's a dump. Run down, reeking of cigarettes, the windows open, trash is just outside the doors. We only stayed a couple of hours, after some other guest creeped us out by peeking at us around the corner of the hallway. And the woman next door repeatedly slamming the door for seemingly no reason. I did NOT feel safe there.

I literally walked into this hotel and to my room turned around and walked out. I went next door to the Holiday Inn and it was about a million percent better. This hotel reeked so bad of marijuana that I couldn't even be in there. I almost got an instant headache. It was twice as expensive for the Holiday Inn and 10 times worth it.

Hotel room had some darkness to it. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes thankfully, the hotel room did not smell like cigarettes. I could tell it was a sketchy place as soon as I showed up and if my booking did not say no refunds, I would have took my money back and spent 40 more dollars on a better hotel. Vending machine machines did not work and the staff recommended. I go buy drinks from across the street.

We arrived at the hotel thinking it might have been recently updated inside, but that definitely was not the case. The outside of the building was full of trash, and there was even vomit near the area where our room was located, which was really unpleasant to see when arriving.

We specifically booked a non-smoking room, but the room smelled strongly like smoke as soon as we walked in. The king-size bed only came with three small pillows, which felt pretty inadequate, and the room was also lacking towels.

The one positive thing I can say is that we did not encounter any bed bugs. However, the photos on this site do not accurately show what the hotel actually looks like in person.

We stayed for two days while attending an event, and fortunately we were gone most of the day and only came back to the room to sleep.

The room that we got was absolutely not the room that was advertised. The walls had wood paneling and there was maybe one photo on the wall. The door barely locked and there was three pillows. We purchased a king size bed and it was definitely not a king size bed at all. Overall the experience was not great. Upon arrival there was police and EMT there. As we were leaving there was a lady climbing out of the laundry room window with a bunch of laundry in garbage bags. I contacted Expedia for a refund and got nowhere. Do not book this room.

Economical choice for a road trip. I booked because they advertised a free shuttle to Union Station, but at check in, we were told they haven't had the shuttle in 3 years. We booked a non-smoking room, and it smelled like marijuana was coming in through the bathroom vent. We had to keep the bathroom door closed, and it got a little better. The outside door we entered did not close and anyone could walk in. Other than that, it was clean, staff was courteous and it was a reasonably quiet place in an ok (convenient) neighborhood. Fortunately we were able to find free parking downtown so the shuttle was not an issue.

You walk in and a whiff of cigarettes will just hit you in the face, the rooms were neat but as for cleanliness I’m not so sure the carpets look like they are in long over due of replacements, their bathrooms had spider webs in them, the walls either had holes or stains, the extra chair in the room was broken, they have no kind of amenities whatsoever other than free coffee but even than you have to travel to California and back for just a cup. Staff will come knocking on your door before 11am to remind you of check out. These guys do not play around when it comes down to their prices (overly priced in my opinion for the condition of their rooms, and limited to no amenities) nor their check out time.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY! I’m not from Kansas City and was unfamiliar with the area. I booked this on Expedia because it was close to the venue we were attending and it had decent reviews. I would bet my next paycheck that employees are leaving fake reviews! I pulled up and went inside to check in. The employees are behind bulletproof glass. First thing I noticed was the smell. Smelled of cigarette smoke and sewage. (I’m a smoker so it didn’t bother me but since when can you smoke in a hotel???) not to mention I had my kids with me, yes they're 18 but still don’t want them around that. Got the keycards and pulled around to where our rooms were. Observed people hanging out the 2nd floor windows, broken windows and a police officer standing next to a truck that appeared to have their windows shot out. ( I thought hotel windows didn’t open??) I don’t usually just a book by its cover but it was clear the people standing around were junkies. I immediately went back in and gave them the cards and told them we can’t stay here. We never even stepped foot in the room. They’re refusing to give me a refund, repeatedly claiming there is no manager on duty and refusing to even give a managers name. I would be ok with a cancellation fee but I’m now out $400! I’m a single mom and that’s a lot of money to me, not to mention I had to spend $400 elsewhere. Not only is this place physically disgusting but so is the behavior of their staff by robbing me!

The rudest people at the front desk I have ever encountered in a hotel. Despite having do not disturb on the doorknob they came in anyway. A chair only had three legs, big filthy stains all over the carpet, no towel racks in the bathroom, no hand towels in the hotel, a lamp with nowhere to plug it in just sitting on the side table, something that looks like a smeared booger on the wall which anybody could have removed was really gross. The overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hallways and seeping under the cracks of the non-smoking rooms was horrible. Even the thin scratchy towels and wash rags had a smell of smoke on them, as did any item we had in the room. Thread bare holes in the curtains.

Some coworkers and I was returning to KC from a business trip. There was a Chiefs Game and Nascar race going on, open rooms were very hard to come by. We had limited options for rooms this late at night. We showed up to check in approx 10pm. There were 3 cop cars in the parking lot with two individuals being handcuffed and sitting on the curb.

Entering the front lobby, the place reeked of pot. Looking down the halls from the front desk, there was a haze of smoke along with very dim lighting. The front desk has 1\" thick bullet proof glass between the desk clerk and the lobby. An armed security guard was stationed in the front lobby. We immediately turned around and walked out and forfeited our room fees.

Beds are terrible old and springy/rickety lobby looked great they still need work on the rooms though mine smelled old and mildew ish both beds had cigarette burns red stains on the walls looked like food honestly hope to god it wasn’t blood definitely could use a remodel door was jammy as well only needed it for one night so it served it’s purpose but probably won’t book again unless they do the rooms better

Quiet for the most part on a Monday night. 😴🌃😊 It was very convenient for me, being right off the highway and under 10 minutes to downtown. 🚗💨👍 I was glad to use the laundry amenities 🔥. They even have soap and other amenities you may need at the front desk for a small fee. 🔥 Hot coffee 24/7 🔥....👉 No breakfast though 👎
