Mamila shopping centre is 400 metres from the property and a further walk leads to Mount Zion and Cenacle, the site of the Last Supper. The Yaffa Gate on the way to the Old city is 10 minutes walking.

The hotel is a small unassuming building from the outside but it is well maintained, clean, and staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices and is well taken care off. However, the best is the location. A short walk and you are in the Old City and Mehane Yehuda is not too far to walk either.

The the receptionist at check in was helpful, at check out careless, so I wasn’t sure I wanted to leave a review, since I was disappointed from my overnight stay, but it might help others so I’ll try be objective. So I ordered a superior something room. Not fancy just above the standard, with a queen bed, not double. The first room we were checked had 3 singe which 2 of them just attached. We went down asked if we can get queen bed. We were immediately checked to other room, we went up again, the room wasn’t clean, with all the signs of a previous visitor, bed, towels etc. We went down, and since we didn’t look for an argue we asked another room, and gave the desk all the time they need to find it, no rush. After 15min we were suggested a room with upgrade at no charge. We went up for the third time. The electronic key didn’t work, we went down again the desk guy just gave us a normal key. Happily we got in. So the room was ok, a bit worn out, but we didn’t care since we needed a clean bed with a clean bathroom. So the bathroom had no light just the mirror light which is romantic but not very helpful at all times. The toilet was dirty, and it’s normal since how can you clean without light. So we cleaned it ourself’s. The bed sheets were clean, but with many old stains, including blood one, at the corner… luckily we didn’t have to sleep at this corner. We checked out the next morning, we didn’t complain, just go over the rejects we found. The reception didn’t give much care….

I attempted to get breakfast, I was told I couldn’t because I didn’t pre-pay. That’s understandable. So instead of them offering me an option to purchase it or just add to my room bill the man at the front desk told me “No Breakfast.” Sorry but as a 40 year old man I’m not gonna put up with being talked down like a child. It’s ok, none of it look good anyways.

Very close to the old city. The parking garage is only worth it if you have a compact car. Otherwise, better to park at the YMCA for 85 NIS overnight and know your car is not getting damanged.

The rooms are falling apart though. I have pictures of the floors splitting apart and the bathrooms with lots of damage. Fine for one night but I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there.

We understand that the hotel is being renovated. We did not get one of the renovated rooms. As such, the flooring was warped and coming up and the lighting was poor. We had to slam the door hard in order to get it to lock. The breakfast seemed nice, but they added dairy products ti a lot og the food, and being lactose intolerant, I was unable to eat many items, especially the scrambled eggs. Overall our stay was ok. We received an upgraded room from a very friendly manager who was excellent after an inconvenience. She did an excellent job and helped us have a better experience. One note is that the pillows in the room are not comfortable, they are and thick. Not comfortable sleeping on something like that. Also both rooms we had were missing soap to wash our hands. We were told to use the Sampo....Overall nice hitel, prime location. Free parking wasnt available, it cost us lots of money to park near the hotel at the mall.

Great hotel in a great location

We stayed at the eldan for 4 nights in June 2024. We are a family of 4 and didnt think to ask in advance to have conjoining rooms, but they put our rooms close on the same floor which was very nice. Sharon at checkin is fantastic. She gave us a parking spot under the hotel (free parking is sort of rare here!) the lot it tight and you may need a navigator to get you in and out, but free is free! The hotel is easy walking distance to yaffo gate to the old city. Breakfast was big and delicious, all fruits and veggies fresh, and the chef came out and checked on us at every meal. We also ate two Shabbat meals there which were both delicious and very convenient. There are fruits and water out all hours if you need a little snack too. Great hotel in a great location!

Hotel is very well situated for all the sites.Very comfortable good sized room and bed. Plenty of wardrobe hanging and shelf space. There were 2 issues in the room when I arrived. These were very quickly resolved within half an hour. The staff were all helpful and pleasant.
Very nice tasty breakfast cereals, lots of salad and a selection of hot foods :eggs, vegetables and borekas. Juices and hot beverages. Very filling foods!

This hotel is close proximity to old town Jerusalem, walking distance of restaurants & shopping. Our room was comfortable, although the bed was a little too firm for me. Breakfast was fantastic. They arranged for taxi pickup at Tel Aviv airport upon our arrival. Taxi driver Raed was great - we even hired him for a day of site seeing next day. Overall a decent price for what we received.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was convenient and an easy enough walk to the old city. Condition of room was ok. Bathroom shower constantly leaked all over the bathroom floor when in use. As a foreigner, I did not know what was being served at breakfast; signs would have been helpful. Front desk staff not very knowledgeable with anything relating to directions or otherwise. If i had a choice to stay again, I would select another hotel.

Our bathroom was inaccessible. I went to the lobby and the maintenance took 15 minutes to come up to our room. He couldn't get the bathroom door open and said he was going downstairs to get some tools. He never showed up. I found out later that it was the end of his shift and he just went home. His replacement finally got the door opened, but not before telling me to just use the lobby bathroom. It was ridiculous.

The hotel room was clean enough, but I wouldn't take a blacklight to it. The staff was helpful and the location was great. Very convenient walking distance from a lot of restaurants, markets, tour meet ups, etc. The hotel breakfast is a bit pricey, so we didn't eat there. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. I do wish they opened for dinner or lunch as well. Due to the odd placement of the seals on the shower door it wouldn't close properly and flooded the bathroom floor a bit, nothing that couldn't be soaked up with a couple towels though. For the price it was a good option.

I should have read the reviews more carefully. The bathroom and towels were filthy, the floors dirty, hot water didn’t work, and the toilet kept running. The heat is either on or off, so you have to get up several times in the middle of the night to adjust it. The internet YV is spotty, and housekeeping is very loud.

Location is very good-close to old town. Breakfast is very good. Front desk staff is not helpful, rooms are not very nice, wifi did not work all of the time. TVs are connected to the wifi so they did not work at times. Bathroom faucet was not really attached to the sink, toilet did not flush completely all of the time. If you do not care about wifi and a nice room, then this is a good place to stay due to the location. However, I would not go back there.
