What a lovely hotel! While it was not in a main area per say, you could walk to the Old City from here. The front staff was very friendly and helpful and we heard some great life stories from them. Our room was I believe the first room on the left when you walk in and take a right. It was soooooooo convenient! They have lovely amenities, the bathroom was big and we had a little terrace to sit on. The breakfast was yummy with lots of options and very pretty. We were able to get taxis in front of the hotel and on the corner. If you take a right and go to the corner, across the street is a bakery with fresh, hot, yummy smelling pastries. There may be more central places to stay or closer to the Old City but we enjoyed our stay here very much. We had to stay next door at the Malka Hotel when we suddenly needed an extra night to sleep, and that hotel was so disappointing and dirty compared to this lovely one. If you are deciding between the two, with the other one right next door, spend a few dollars more and stay at Leonardo. I was even receiving texts from the Leonardo reminding me of my stay and communicating with me if I had questions. It was unexpected but such a nice personal touch!

The staff was really good very attentive and kind but the hotel needs a huge remodeling. The wallpapers are cracking, and the bathroom smells like mildew. If your room is facing the street, you will definitely hear people shouting in the middle of the night or Cab drivers smoking outside. Also, couple of guests were smoking in the hotel that I have to call the reception and asking them to stop.

Comfortable hotel, great location

Really good location easy to access all areas (with just a short walk to the light rail stop and to the Old City), very helpful and friendly staff and great buffet breakfast. We stayed in an executive room - the size and layout was fantastic, very comfortable and well designed.

Great hotel with a great location

This is my 2nd stay here and it was just as good as the first. The staff is very helpful. The room is well-appointed, The Breakfast buffet was great!. They provided bottles of water each day at no charge. The location could not be better for being in the center of Jerusalem. Rehov Yaffa is 2 blocks away, the Old City about a 15 min walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good for the most part

The room was great, the food was delicious and the staff were nice. We did have issues with parking every single night, which was a pain (we had to call the front desk to get them to open the gate). Also, my shower did leak the last day I stayed which caused water to leak onto the floor of the bedroom area. The front desk guy didn't seem too concerned when I told him (as I was checking out).

Great choice in JLM

We stayed for 2 nights as a couple and it was a great experience, better than expected. Hotel's location is definitely a huge plus, very close to the Old Town as well as markets / shopping / food on Jaffa St. Having (paid) on-site parking was very convenient too. Breakfast was amazing, lots of choices and good service.
We arrived on Shabbat, but we were able to check in before sunset with a very short wait for room to be cleaned up.
Room was not very large but adequate for 2 people for a short stay. Having balcony was a good bonus, especially if you smoke. And free Nespresso in the room as well as unlimited coffee and tea at the lobby were nice additions. It is not necessarily a cheap choice but given the price point, we would certainly stay here again when we visit JLM and highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is not cheap so my expectations were high.
The room wasn't clean enough. Neither the walls nor the fingerprints on the closet.
One of the pillows should have replaced months ago.

This hotel was in a great location. It was 2 blocks away from a magical world of small, windy streets, most of them closed to traffic, filled with cafes, restaurants and shops. It was also central to most of the sights. The room was comfortable. There was a library and a lounge with beverages and cookies to relax in outside of your room. The breakfast was a huge buffet filled with Israeli breakfast foods as well as a multitude of other choices.

Expect problems

There are some very bad things to say:
1. when we got there, the toilet water was leaking on the floor. When asked to fix it, they just shut it off so we had no working toilet and then left it that way. This wasn't the middle of the night, this was in the afternoon on a weekday!!! When asked, they said they would fix it the next day!?!?
2. They didn't. They turned it back on, but then water was all over the floor again the next morning!!
-We found this out when someone slipped at 6 in the morning in the bathroom and hit something on the way down.
3. The auto-rising gates for the carports worked less than 25% of the time for us - and some seem to be hanging dangerously. When asked about it, the front staff told me that I couldn't see because he knows it works. I just want to park my car, I'm am not trying to win an argument on the value of your system overall!

We stayed on the 2nd floor which included a little balcony. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. There was construction going on in the back of the hotel (where our balcony was facing) so there was construction noise in the morning. The room was comfortable and clean (the rug on our room was slightly stained) but everything else was clean. Very convenient location, walking distance to everything (15 min to Jaffa Gate, shopping, etc.). Would definitely stay here again.

Good location but the property is more dated than what the photos are showing. Breakfast selection is good for Israel and the free coffee/tea/snack in the basement area is very welcomed. This was the best hotel stay I’ve ever had,
period.
The room was beautiful the location was nestled right between the modern Jaffa rd and the old Geula neighborhood.
The staff was the nicest. The front desk couldn’t do enough for me. They took care of my dry cleaning, taxis and any other needs. They gave me late check out because of my late flight.
My next trip, I would only stay here . Worth every penny.
