Every transaction with hotel staff was frictionless. The room is small, but has every amenity. The price is excellent, for the APA location in Osaka is likely one of the best possible for a visitor. The area of the city is rich, riverfront with some foreign embassies, some offices and some residential . Many parks too! It is clean and lively , yet without being crowded. There are many traditional and Italian restaurants around! Museums, convention centre, all walking distance, and if you want to explore Osaka, Metro station right at the hotel entrance too. The hotel provides a laundry machine room, sauna, and has a breakfast restaurant (which is a thing surprisingly hard to find in Osaka; most food places are lunch and dinner only!) I recommend.

My worst experience in a APA hotel unfortunately. My room was the tiniest as possible and it got hot. They control the AC so in winter time they won’t allow you to use the cool mode. I had to leave the window open. The is ok but very small. It’s well located by the metro station just downstairs but with no elevator or escalator so let me tell you with your suitcases you will feel it.
I couldn’t experience thr restaurant at the top because it was closes or fully reserved. The one downstairs is good and healthy. All restaurants are very strict on time. Outside of the window opening you won’t have your breakfast. The staff was not helpful with my ac situation and when i lost my receipt to log inin their system…

During cooler seasons many hotels in Japan including this one turn off their central AC to save energy. I and I’m sure many other people still prefer a cool room. Unfortunately because the AC was turned off the room was always hot and when I talked to the staff they simply tell you to open the window which only allows so much air to come in. I feel that if you pay for the room you should be able to have full control over things like that. At night I would constantly toss and turn because of the warm temperature.

Everything was fine . Room was a bit small, curtain had a hole in it and was broken. Shower curtain should be replaced. A little awkward taking a step up into the washroom.

Very convenient area close to the subway. Staff were super customer service and went over and above what i would expect. I left my laptop in a cab and staff helped me phone the police department to confirm that the in fact had it before I made my way down to pick it up. All this was in japanese as english is my first language.

Near the subway but far from both dotonbori and Umeda so had to rely on it.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Could not contact the hotel, even after email and going thrkugh expedia. Nothing. Terrible customer service...booked and paid for a room, but expedia booked the wrong day. Immediately attempted to rectify and there was zero assistance given. I will never book with APA again.

Standard APA Hotel; however, the single room is smaller than the single rooms in Kobe and Himeji. Cleanliness is good and provided ammenities are good as well. Perfect for solo travelers and duo travelers (packing light).

The staff were nice, and spoke relatively decent English, which made it easier to communicate (which was much appreciated). However, the room that we were set up in smelt horribly of cigarette smoke, and the only way we could get rid of it was by running the air conditioning for a very long time. Overall, the building was very nice, but our room, I don’t know about other rooms. But our room was not nice.

Booked this lodging pretty late, but enjoyed staying at this chain. The location was surprisingly convenient as it was really close to the metro entrance. The area was relatively quiet, but really accessible to the touristy areas of the city. Comfy rooms overall. A nice stay that is easy to travel from.

I try to stay at APA hotels while in Japan as they are always clean and safe and the staff are always polite and professional. This hotel is near restaurants and convenience stores and the Tokyo metro is connected to the hotel so it’s easy to get around. The ramen place across the road is amazing. I highly recommend this hotel to stay at when visiting Osaka.

close to all kinds of transportation: taxis, trains subways, shinkansen. close to all the major Osaka attractions. Castle, temples, Dotonbori, Umeda Tower, temples, etc. can't get bored even when it's raining and very affordable.
Maybe not for kids. I was solo. Close to many tours around Kansai area. Great for day trips even to Kyoto, Himeji, Kobe, Kanazawa, Nara using APA as a home base. Even has a sento.

Close to two different subways, one of the subway you have to walk about 10mins ish to get to the closest station but still quite convenient. The room I was in was quite smaller than what I imagine but it was good for just one person. Overall a reasonable stay. P.S. the check in is quite slow as you have to check in with the computer.

The room I had was small but comfortable. A small window with a nice view of the river too. There’s also the Japanese bidet. They also provide a yutaka if you want to visit the public bath

A quiet area with not many shops around. You do have 2 convenience shops, 1 drugstore and 1 24hr Japanese eatery chain just a few steps away. There are other options too. Higobashi Station entrance is under the hotel so you’re only a few stops from Namba Station.

Nothing much to complain about to be honest and considering the price it’s more comfortable than capsule hotels and better security too. Check in and out was easy and simple. Will certainly come back

Osaka is wonderful but this hotel was not. Found a used bandaid in our hotel room (not ours) and the room was dusty. Layout was also not optimal for the tiny space it provided. The worst part was the laundry facility. Their combo washer dryers DO NOT dry and the 4 units they have is not enough for the hotel’s population. Folks were waiting HOURS into the night to return to their rooms with sopping wet clothes despite dropping hundreds of yen on extra dry cycles (I ran 6!). The front desk’s solution was to “use more machines” which would screw over more people down the road. No thank you and won’t be coming back

Our stay was good. It was in a great location with close access to some of the different subway lines and only a 15 minute walk from JR Osaka Station as well. Close to different cafes and restaurants to try as well. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that wasn't great was the laundry machines. They took so long to dry anything where I eventually gave up and hung things up in my room instead of paying more yen for the dryer that was doing nothing.

Brilliant property, felt safe at all times, Higobashi station is immediately outside so very convenient for transport. Took about 20 minutes to walk to Osaka station. If room was not for cleaning they placed a bag outside the door with fresh towels, toothpaste etc. Staff were wonderful, very polite and helpful. Comfortable beds, huge TV. I extended my stay. Hotel has no lobby at all. You arrive and the line up is never ending. The rooms are way too small. In the morning the staff clean up the rooms so the hallway doors of the rooms are opened and it’s a mess on the floors all over… dirty carpet, dirty towels, it’s gross….
Also when you arrive before 3 pm , can’t check in before that , you are told to leave and come back….
At least have chairs to sit down or offer the clients to sit in the restaurant. For 200$ US dollars a night I’m not impressed!

Solo traveller with a large checked luggage. I found the room a little tight but it was mostly a place to sleep.

Being above Higobashi station makes it easy to reach both Osaka station (airport express transit) and Namba station for Dotonbori. 9 minute walk to Yodoyabashi station to reach Shin-Osaka (shinkansen) is also fantastic.

Amenities like towels, toothpaste, and disposable coffee cups were left in a bag on the door daily around cleaning time so I always had a fresh set, and the room was cleaned every 3 days by staff, or sooner on request.

Check out was seamless. I would definitely stay here again

Front desk concierge is bilingual, friendly, and made my check in very quick and easy.

The hotel itself is very close to Higobashi Station, and if you are adventurous, you can walk to either Dotonbori, or Osaka Station, fairly quickly.. basically the hotel is in a great location!

I had a very convenient stay at this hotel in Osaka. The location is excellent, right in front of a metro station, making it super easy to get around the city.

The single room was just right for one person—compact but with enough space for everything I needed. It was clean and well-organized, perfect for a short stay.

The staff was very helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with any questions. Overall, a great choice for solo travelers looking for a well-located and comfortable place to stay!

Room was too hot and require opening the window that resulted to a lot of noise from the traffic outside. Check in requires more efficiency as it took over 30 minutes to find my reservation due to Trainees assisting. The Spa is good and clean and location is accessible to subway station which is just in front of it and walkable to Osaka main station 1.2 km away but mostly flat.

I booked this for me and my wife for our honeymoon, they didn’t even care to properly check-us in early and I had to stay in a very long line when I came back again after the check-in time. Horrible treatment by the staff that barely understands English.

Also, do NOT book this if you’re claustrophobic, I was genuinely suffocating in the first night, me and my wife barely fit the bed size (She’s slim and I am not), I have been to small and tight hotels in Tokyo but this is even smaller than anything.

There was absolutely no space for our luggage, it stayed unopened in the hallway, that isn’t even a hallway.

The only good thing is that it’s near a metro station and it’s not even a good station, you’ll have to keep taking other metros to get where you wanna go, so it’s not really as convenient as you might think.

Ultimately, it’s inhumane to allow oneself to stay in such place even if your plans is to find a place just to sleep in.

Sleeping in metro stations would almost seem as an equal alternative.

Good location, with a drug store crossing the street, 7/11 and various restaurants around.
Metro station right in front of the doors of the hotel.
The rooms very clean and the bathtub bigger than the Apas from Tokyo.. nice room but tiny so please keep in mind that, I was with 3 large suitcases and 2 smalls ones and it was a bit cramped but nothing to complaint about, if you are organize and keep everything tidy it will not be a problem.
The staff very friendly and some spoke really good English!

There were hardly any space between the desk and the bed, which made using the chair and the desk uncomfortable, and not really doable.

Otherwise the room held the general APA hotells standard. Great simple rooms at a resonable price. They have everything one needs.

I think the location is great. Going places couldn't be more convenient with a tube entrance just outside the hotell. Namba and other destinations reachable within 30 min.

I wasn't able to use the bath because of a wound, but I would have appreciated the bath otherwise. It's just great.

I noticed that noice isolation is quite poor (isolation from traffic and such), so maybe consider the higher floors.
