I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Chamade. The room was nice sized, clean, and the bed comfortable. The hotel is about a 4-5 minute walk to the main St. Petrs train station, which also has tram stops for two trams that will take you to the southern edge of Ghent's city center. This made it convenient for a day trip to Bruges by train. We did not elect the breakfast at the hotel, but there were three bakeries on the way to the train station to pick up something to eat on the way. If I visit Ghent again, this hotel would be my first choice.

The hotel was lovely and clean, it was very well located close to the train station. Facilities fairly basic (no pool etc) but for somewhere to stay that’s great at the basics, this is the one. One things to note - guests can get free tea & coffee from the area next to reception (we weren’t aware of this until the last day but it was certainly well appreciated once we did know).

Me and my mum had a great stay here. The room was newly renovated, very spacious and clean. Beds were comfy. Free water, tea and coffee provided in the room. The staff were friendly. Good location in relation to the train station and walkable to the town centre. Other floors were in the process of being renovated so there was some noise but not disruptive.

Property is under construction, but they kept it quiet during the evening. Only issue we had was the trolley station in front of the hotel was closed during our stay, but the receptionist helped with directions and where the next trolley station was located. My husband and I stayed here May 2024 on a vacation from Canada. We rented a car at CDG airport and drove to Ghent. The hotel was very easy to find. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was cleaned every day for us. The breakfast cost 20 euro but was well worth the price. The food was delicious with lots of variety and everything was freshly made. They even had bacon which is always a bonus for me! There is not a lot of parking in the area but we lucked out and always found a spot. Parking was free but I believe that's only because we were there on a weekend. There is public transportation right in front of the hotel and it is only a 5 minute walk to the Ghent St Pieters train station so it is very accessible. There weren't many restaurant options nearby but that wasn't a big deal for us. It was a great stay and we would recommend it to anyone.

Good location as directly opposite the number one tram which brings you into the centre. Likewise, the train station is close by. There's a few bars and restaurants but really you want to get straight to the centre. The hotel is comfy, staff were helpful, breakfast was good. But reception shuts at 11 so no time for a late one inthf bar.

Took round trip train to Brussels one day, round trip train to Bruges two days, and spent two days in Ghent Center <—took tram from immediately in front of the BW hotel to Korenmarkt stop. So convenient.
