Well located in the center of Ghent, couldn't ask for a better location.
I was surprised that there was no kettle in the room, but they did provide one when I asked.
I did think the room was quite small. My wife and I had to step around each other whenever we moved,
Bed was comfy. I had to sit at a 45 degree angle on the toilet because there was no room for my knees.
If I were to stay here again I would ask for a larger room, we had the smallest double with a view out over the Cathedral.

The hotel is overrated and isn’t worth the money you pay. The rooms are quite old and have no soundproofing. We had to listen to people yelling outside all night until 4 am, and then at 5 am garbage trucks were collecting trash outside. None of us got a good night’s sleep, and we were quite happy that we had only booked one night.

Hotel staff weeee great and helpful, especially assisting us with a medical emergency and being accommodating. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel is very nice and clean. Location is fantastic for touring the main sights of old Ghent. Only issue with the hotel is it was noisier than previous hotels, poorer sound proofing between rooms and especially to outside. But overall a great hotel and good value!

The hotel itself is clean, well maintained & reasonably comfortable. The location is wonderful, right across the street from the cathedral. The staff I dealt with were all pleasant and helpful. However, there are a number of little annoyances. Of course there's no soundproofing so you hear every noise inside & outside the hotel. The slot for your key, to switch the power on, is not beside the door so you have to hold the door open or grope around to find it. The bathroom was very cramped with the toilet set awkwardly behind the door. There were no hand towels or face cloths, just rather small bath towels. The climate control did nothing so the room was always too warm. There were no bedside tables. The mattress was ok but not very high quality.

The location is absolutely perfect: right in the heart of the historic center, within walking distance of many major landmarks and attractions.
Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. There was a fantastic selection of both hot and cold options, as well as a wide variety of fresh pastries and baked goods.
But what truly sets this hotel apart is the outstanding service and the incredible staff. We are especially grateful for the way the team responded during a very difficult moment. My husband had a cardiac episode during our stay, and the staff (lovely Juultje and Jana) reacted with professionalism and care. They quickly asked all the necessary questions and called an ambulance without hesitation. Their calm support and willingness to help meant the world to us. It was an overwhelming situation, but their presence was a source of real comfort.

Great location, although staying over the Easter weekend meant the bells of the cathedral next door ringing well into the night and continuing after midnight on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, although this is no fault of the hotel. Staff were generally really friendly, only one was a little blunt. Provide you with a really helpful map and guide to Ghent on arrival which was very useful. Close to tram links and nice bar that’s open every night with a variety of drinks. Breakfast was really good. Lots of variety and options for everyone. Checked in online which was supposed to speed the process although still was a little slow. Overall really happy with the hotel and stay, only picking faults with comments above. Would definitely recommend it.

The hotel's greatest plus is it's location, right next to the cathedral. We were a group of 8, in 4 twin rooms and it served our needs perfectly. We opted for breakfast in the second morning which was value for money, with some hot options as well as cold.

However, the room was the smallest double room we have ever stayed in (we are fairly well travelled), the bathroom was cramped and the toilet was positioned in such a way that you could not sit straight on it as the wall in front was too close.
Maybe we were unlucky with the room we were given but I could not recommend this hotel from our experience of it.

We arrived to the hotel via tram from the train station. The location of this hotel is awesome! Literally the most popular sites are outside the door. The downside is that it was very noisy outside from people walking by very early in the morning. We kept the window open at night to get the room cool and for fresh air. The front staff and housekeepers whom we met were friendly. I loved hearing the church bells ringing. Overall, we would stay again. Gent captured our hearts.

But if you are staying for a night or two it is no biggie. Area seemed really safe too. Cathedral was just outside our room, and had a great view. Try getting a room ending with an even number. The hotel is right on the corner of the square in Ghent, it was not too noisy though. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast and bar areas were clean and well stocked. It is very easy to find your way around the city and the tram services are excellent. Have a look around the castle, a good two or three hours to cover it. Many churches too. We are not religious, but the architecture is something to behold. A trip to Patrick Foley's Irish Bar is also worth it.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and I really like that the luggage storage was in a secured room. The room itself was nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable. They had AC so it would be good on a hot summer day but the weather was so nice we just had the windows open the entire time and the noise from the street and church bells wasn’t that bad. They didn’t have a fridge or kettle in the room but you can ask for hot water at the restaurant downstairs. The only thing we didn’t like is when we walked into our room, it looks like they just cleaned it and mopped the floor, so the floor was sopping wet and kinda smelled weird. We had to use the bathroom rug to dry it and the open window helped with the wet smell. Other than that, it was awesome and Ghent is beautiful!

I made a reservation for two beds, which was confirmed prior to my arrival. However upon arrival I was told there were no rooms with two beds available as the front desk clerks “associate” had changed it to one double bed. As this is not what I had reserved, or confirmed, I asked for a refund and I would go elsewhere. I was told the room was nonrefundable and nothing could be done in terms of a refund or changing rooms to one that had two beds as requested. There was no explanation of why this reservation was changed by their staff. Very disappointed

A basic hotel with a small room. Good for a night but I wouldn’t stay long term. The place smelled strongly of cleaning solution and the floor was slippery under our feet. Very limited storage. One pillow each and one towel each. Not even a hand towel!! The bed was very comfy and we had a lovely view (room 410). Room was ready when we arrived early and the frontdesk lady was very nice.
