We expected tiny rooms and no facilities but were welcomed to a smallish but adequate room with everything we needed except maybe a kettle.
The bar was good, the breakfasts were excellent with plenty of seating in nice areas. There was a tiny shop with snacks and even a few microwave meals, and a microwave provided in the lobby.
The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful and answered loads of our questions. Everywhere was fresh and clean.
It's about 20 minutes walk from the centre, a bit far for our elderly legs, but there are convenient buses and trains nearby. All in all, it's somewhere we would go back to, and will certainly recommend the hotel to friends.

Very small rooms with very basic facilities. Rooms were boiling hot with no way to control the temperature. No opening windows so had to hold the door open to try and cool it down. Security really needs looking at, no requirement for room keys to access the accommodation and had issues with people running up the corridor banging on the doors through the night. Had to ask for pillows, towels and toilet roll. Staff were nice and did try and resolve the issues. No way of contacting the reception from the room so had to go all the way down each time. Shower temp fluctuates constantly boiling hot to freezing cold, couldn’t let our child use it in case of burns. Location was the only plus, for a big chain hotel, this was very disappointing

The only negative (which is more personal) is breakfast was so busy. So I would advise getting up early to eat. Breakfast between 9-10 was too busy for the space. The staff worked exceptionally hard to maintain food was readily available though!

We made self-check in easily using machine at the reception, without queuing. Rooms were excellent, small but clean and functional, sockets near the bed, bathroom was big enough (larger than in most Ibis budget hotels), cleaned daily, great bedding and lighting in the room. Staff (whenever needed) was friendly and smiling. there was restaurant working near reception area. we did not have breakfast but it was looking really full. 5 min walk to the Gent Dampoort station and 15-20 min to the city historical center.

It was sufficient for our needs, but it wasn't located near anything else. It is \"budget friendly\" because everything is carte blanch. The breakfast is overpriced, but we were able to get coffee and a croissant for $3.50 each. Our room was too small to leave our luggage open, and the bed was pushed against a wall, so one had to climb over the other. The A/C seemed to turn off at night, and we woke up sweating. It was an easy walk to the train station, but there was nothing to do near the hotel. Most of the staff was very friendly, but not all.

Great budget hotel just outside main city centre perfect ideal fir seeing the sights and a stone throw from train station. Rooms are small but are well maintained comfortable and clean great for price point. Checkin was simple easy and hassle free only feedback that i could give was you should be able to prebook parking with a code the street outside is full and costs so need to either have pre booking or place to temp park while you get access to carpark. Other than that small issue the hotel was ideal for the money and staff were spot on .

Very basic room(s) and if not in a wheel chair accessible room your queen size bed is \"one sided\", with a single heavy duty duvet. No actual heating other than air conditioning and a totally unheated \"wet room\" with no shower curtain. Cannot open a window for fresh air (even on first floor). No shelves, just a few wall mounted hooks to hang clothes on cheap plastic (children size) hangers. Lobby totally full of teenagers (and actually exterior advertising inviting them in). This is not a serious hotel for adults and far from \"budget\". Parking charge €18 for a night. However staff service minded and breakfast better than expected, although limited choice.

The hotel is located about ten minutes away from Gent Dampoort train station. The facility is modern and squeaky clean. Although the hotel is close to a business park and a busy roundabout, you barely hear any noise from your room. Moreover, the presence of rental bikes helped me given that public transit in Gent is disappointing. For ten Euros a day (plus a fifty Euros safety deposit), I managed to visit all of Gent's major attractions with a rental bike from the hotel thanks to Gent's bike infrastructures.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Great location, easy walk from train station with wheelie bags, and walk to town attractions. Our room was small but ideal as a place to put head down after big day walking. The staff were always friendly and always staff cleaning the main areas of hotel. The gym is small but adequate - cost euro 5 to use. The breakfasts seemed very popular and good value judging by the amount of people dining there from early in morning. All in all a really good budget hotel. The only negative is that there are roadworks happening outside so a little noisy and dirty but we were advised of that in an email prior to our arrival Would stay again if I re-visited Ghent. We had a great time playing games borrowed from the lobby games library. The hitel creates a very social atmosphere that we really liked. We could have used a couple more amenities in the room such as a glass to have a drink of water to take medications and there was not a chair to sit on or a bench to place our suitcase.

I chose this place due to its proximity to the train station. The walk to the town wasn’t so bad at 20 minutes walk. The place looks new and nicely decorated.
There were a few “bad” things about this place:
# 1 : there was no luggage room. You had to leave whatever luggage that you don’t want to carry around to -1 locker room to which you had to pay € 2.00 each. We had to € 4.00 total as one of the luggage wouldn’t fit and left it with the front desk.

We only needed a base to get a not Ghent. A lovely comfortable entrance area, lots of comfy a quiet spaces, a clean and good looking place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but that was expected. It was clean, smart and minimal. No wardrobe, but who cares for a few days. Station 5 minute walk away, 5 minute train into Ghent central station.

Looks like a warehouse district being revitalized. Room cleaning came early the first few days then stopped, We have to ask for service after a long day out. Then the hotel started the noisy parties for the weekend and it was booming.
