Room was great. BUT We were placed on the first floor which has the balcony right along the littered road with quite limited view. No option for an alternate room. Pool lovely. Not overcrowded but deep. No real shallow end. “Parking” was free 15 minute walk downhill. We were on a wait list for paid parking close to hotel for the full week. Never got any.

A beautiful, quiet location where we were able to relax and unwind. The apartment (one bedroom) was lovely, spacious and clean with a well-stocked kitchen and the outside terrace was fabulous and a really nice place to sit and look at the sea.
Staff were all lovely and incredibly helpful with any requests. Use of the gym was extra as was the transport to Mogán and Puerto Rico.
The village/town was about a 20minute walks with a steep hill. The only thing I'd recommended would be a shuttle bus to there and back.
All in all a lovely stay and we are considering returning next year.

Ideal for families and quiet folks.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. You feel welcomed from the start, very friendly staff. It is a quiet place for families and retirees, not for party folks. The kitchen is small but fully equipped, it has everything you may need to make your own meals. Which is great when you are on a budget or don't feel like going to a restaurant. We went to one of the local supermarkets and bought everything we needed to make our own meals several times. So, the only few less positive things to say are the limited pool hours, 10:00 to 1800, and limited parking in the area. At times you need to leave your car at the bottom of the hill and walk about 13 mins one way. A parking ticket could cost you 100 euros if you leave your car on a not designated parking spot. Do I recommend it? definitely. Would I come back? Yes. The southern part of the island, in my opinion, offers great beaches, and it is relatively close to many other great sites to visit nearby (bottom half of the island) if you have a rental.

Pros: Very nice property. Our unit was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to cook. The pool was heated and had many available beds.
Cons: Very limited parking around the property. We heard it was very common for guests to get parking tickets. The following services weren't included: gym 5€ per day, laundry washer 5€, laundry drier 4€.

Anything that is lacking in the property is made up by the huge terrace overlooking the ocean with amazing sunsets every evening and listening to the waves all night. They can benefit by doing little DIY at the property e.g. putting pedestal bins and changing the kitchen cabinets. Having said that, the kitchen is fully functional with everything that you need for holiday cooking. They cleaned the apartment twice during the week which was nice. The restaurant has a good selection of vegetarian options and live music. The kids loved the pool and icecreams/smoothies/shakes. They have some family games and novels at the reception for you to borrow. The grocery store at the property is a bit pricey but Spar is just 8 mins drive. A lot of water sports at the local beach as well. Overall an amazing stay.

I rate this property very highly because the customer service was excellent (polite and always happy to help). Rooms were so big and had everything that you would not even find in a 5 star hotel. 2 sunlongers, big balcony, fridge freezer, outside dinning table with chairs etc etc. Matias, Maria (massage) and all the 3 reception staff who were there during our stay were outstanding and made our stay even more pleasant. Only small issue is that free parking is pot luck close to the Appartments but plenty of free parking if you happy to walk for 8-10 minutes on a slight up hill road. Or can pay €8 per day for parking next to the Appartments. Overall great value. Highly recommended this place

Our stay at cala blanca

These apartments are excellent. We were a party of 5 and everybody had a amazing stay. All the staff were so lovely and kind and happy to help 24/7. At the bottom of the hill you have the beach (with water sports) the waterpark and huge crazy golf. Then reception sells tickets daily for a minibus to puerto rico and mogan. Guys at reception are amazing, they have so much handy information which makes your life easier. Like ( they told us when we booked the bus to puerto rico that the minibus dropped you off just across from a supermarket, if you spend over 30 euros in there then they will deliver your shopping free to the apartment and one of the staff members will put it away for you. As we were a party of 5 staying a week we went loaded up on everything and by the time we returned to our apartment it was all put away in the fridge, freezer and cupboards. 😀

This was our first holiday with our baby and this hotel made it the best time ever. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Our stay was amazing, even before we got there the staff were helping us out by asking for any requests before our arrival. The apartments are clean and better than expected. We had a travel cot at no extra charge and the kitchen is better equipped than my own. They really have thought of everything. They were very clean and the bed was extremely comfy. Staff are very very helpful, friendly and professional. They honestly couldn’t do enough for us. The views were amazing and the balcony our favourite place. The hotel is very covid safe and also aim to be environmentally friendly which is great to see.

One The road was right inf front of aour apartment and the public busses were always driving too fast they were quite loud. Also, sometimes it was hard to find a parking spot. Received a room upgrade for free. Room and facilities were clean and as advertised. The pool, restaurant and entertainment area was great. Staff were friendly and the concierge was very helpful at check-in and check-out. Just be aware the hotel is situated up on the side of the valley so it’s a medium walk to get down to the bus stop or further in to the beach.

Great hotel with excellent, friendly staff. Kitchens are exceptionally well equipped and the rooms are large and comfortable.
It should be made clear that the road to Puerto Mogan is closed and there is no prospect of it reopening. This means that instead of a 1.4 k walk into the town, it is a 16 k drive. It makes a big difference because there is so little around the hotel itself. Also, TV, does receive English channels, but only news, no entertainment

Great hotel , stayed here for a week 27 dec 18, with my son , WiFi was brilliant which is needed with a 14 year old son ,lovely apartment, nice pool , gym was a little small for my liking and sauna never worked ,
there are a lot of steps and hills to climb so be good for the fitness .

The resort was lovely but a lot of work being undertaken so lots of building supplies needed to be negotiated to get to our apartment, the apartment had not been refurbished so quite tired looking, but the bathroom was especially unacceptable, very dirty and smelly, mould and grubby tile, toilet pan badly stained.The view from the apartments though are stunning and the balcony was very large with sunbeds and dining table and chairs. the resort has a bus to the local towns but the timing for these are very limited, so getting back would be good to have a bus arriving back at the resort later in the evening 10-11pm would be good. The restaurant has a good menu but would be better to have some simpler meals too. The wi-fi was terrible.

Never had to pay to use a room safe before - but charged by the day!
Pool large and clean, lots of sun beds. Swim towels are chargeable by the day.
One lift had been out of action since 15th October and the other lift broke down while we there and was out of action for the rest of our stay.
Nothing to do with the hotel - but if you hire a car beware where you park; police patrol after 9pm ticketing cars.

The apartment was fabulous - really spacious and had all the mod cons you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. And the views were something else.
There were two terraces - an enormous terrace on the ground floor and a smaller balcony off the master suite on the mezzanine level.
It is high up on the side of a mountain though, so you may want to think about access and mobility.

Good Point:
Lovely week stay,amazing staff and great food and drinks. Clean and modern rooms
,rooms are better then what we expected...Taxi to the shops and food places is 3euros. Taxi to porta rico is 12euro its great there more life, food restaurant shops and things to do. Dvd you can borrow and watch in the rooms.
Bad Point:
Not much around the area, 15mins walk to nearest shops and few food shops, supermarket doesnt have good food to buy for apartment.
Taxi are always available but i had a bad experience i was alone had loads of shopping and taxi 154 said he can take me back up to hotel he then decided he didnt want to as it was too near,so i got out and walked it up the hills struggling.
We stayed 1 week monday to friday our room was never cleaned,no towel change so had the same dirty towel for a week and our bins was overflowing because cleaner comes the 4th day,so we had a clean apartment and towel for 1day only (thursday) then we left. They need a cleaner everyday to change towels and bins it is a self catering apartment that is how spiders and insects come about! I had a cockroach crawling out my suitcase at the airport! We had to use plastic bags for bins as they dont clean your room at all for a week.
Happy hour is a crap times sadly like 12 to 2pm...it should be like 6pm to 9pm, or a better time in the day.
Food is great dont get the curry wasnt nice,but food may take a very long time to arrive but worth it get the sandwiches there good and large. Breakfast is

Accommodation excellent, entertainment excellent, staff great.
Half board food adequate for daily rate but menus never changed over period of 10 days. So advise to just get accommodation. Do remember the land slide cutting off this resort, even though free transport provided, speccial bus with a walk up a very high hill back to hotel, only hotel bus takes you back to hotel entrance at top of hill. Use public transport from Airport bus 91 only 6.80 Euros single fare takes 35 minutes and 3 Euro taxi from bus stop at bottom to hotel up top of high hill.

Having requested a sea view & not to be on the ground floor we were gutted to find we were ground floor looking through the bars of a security fence!
Management not particularly helpful - eventually had to pay an extra 30 euros to move to 1st floor appt with a view. New rooms were great tho' & apart from the management (who were always polite) the staff were marvellous - always smiling & helpful - a real tonic!!

Zoe on Reception was excellent, providing me with the information & knowledge I required, also the other Team members were good.
Staff at Breakfast, Great as well.
Parking is very poor, inadequate spaces for the amount of rooms you provide in Cala Blanca.
If I was some one in poor health then this is not for them as you need to be fit in body to go out
Room cleaning, in my time at the the hotel, from the Friday till the Monday, no one came to clean my room not once.
You need a car to get you out!!

Needed some late summer sun before English winter

The hotel is up a relative long hilly road, with occasional car parking challenges (due to the relative lack of local restaurants and shops a car is a must). However, the complex is wonderful. It is westerly facing, all the rooms have sea views, are well equipped and have individual sun bathing balconies equipped with two sun loungers. Although our room was dated and in urgent need of updating (room 315) it was clean. The on site restaurant is a little pricey but the food is good and well presented. Our interaction with all the staff was very possessive.

One bedroom accomodation, 4 nights, September 2017

4 night stay - arrived late. Man on reception very helpful - let me know about housekeeping schedule (for a 4 night stay housekeeping and towel change was on 4th day), hotel layout, breakfast times (9am to about 11:30am). Not a Diamond resorts member so any prices of extras quoted are for non-members. Optional resort fee charged if you wanted to use spa and sauna. Deposit of 100 euro (taken by pre-authorising bank card) on arrival. Wi-fi is chargeable, too if you want to use it.

Apartment 106 was lowest floor and consisted of bedroom with huge comfy bed, air-con, outside shutters to block out morning light, safe (2 euro p/d charge), hair dryer, iron and board, some docking station. Kitchen well equipped and welcome bottle of water, milk, tea, filter coffee and sugar, salt and pepper sachets were really useful due to late arrival (had missed their shop - closed at 10pm). Bathroom - bath/shower combination, towels and complimentary toiletries provided. Living room had air-con, dining table and chairs, sofas, tv (with some UK channels), dvd player (dvds available to borrow from reception), phone. Opens out via sliding door onto terrace with parasol, table and chairs (4) and 2 sunbeds.

Restaurant and shop by pool. I only had breakfast at hotel but enjoyed it. Shuttle bus to Puerto Rico, Amadores or Mogan. 1 euro each single trip - tickets from reception. Hotel is up a steep hill so was nice to be dropped at entrance.

Enjoyed my holiday - they thought of everything :-)

Robbed in our room by the cleaner.

We were on the patio and a cleaner came to clean whislt we were there. After she left, 320 Euros had been taken from our bedroom. The Sterling and other stuff was all still there, just the Euros went missing. Daft thing was that she took all the Euros which made it so obvious when we went in the room just after she left, leaving us no money to spend.

Luckily, I always make sure my wife has at least 50 Euros in case we are robbed and that just saw us onto the plane the next day after paying for an evening meal by card.

There were security cameras and no-one else went in our out.

She was new and they had done no checks before letting her into the complex to clean on her own.

We spent most of our last day at the local Police Station and although we got 200 back from our insurance, we feel it was a disgusting way to be treated that they wouldn't re-imbure us, as it wasn't in their safe.

If a cleaner asks you if you they can clean, you don't expect or think to say \"Wait a moment while I lock everything away\" and shut everything in the safe.

Good location, but poor parking , unless you have a car or willing to get cabs it's hard to go anywhere , there is also two standards of rooms the ones with older decor or the refub ones, it's pot luck which one you get
Internet is very poor but you still get charged if your able to log on even for a few mins, no refunds
Bottom rooms by the road can be very noisy at weekends with bikers thinking it's brands hatch
Staff are polite and helpful but the male staff can be hard work
Stayed here afew times but willnt be staying again the - out weigh the +

The room was very tired and in desperate need of updating the furniture in the living area was very stained and dirty there was a water leak through the ceiling in the kitchen and the outside terrace flooded when it rained heavily due to blocked drains. The bedroom was fine beds comfortable and linen clean, with plenty of storage. The bathroom again was shabby and a little grubby as a result, it was cleaned twice during our 9 day stay, which was satisfactory. The towels were clean and also changed twice. The excellent tv constantly lost sound and you had to call reception to reboot which was irritating. There was internet access but only at a cost of 7,95Euros per day which was extortionate and as only needed for occasional data usage we didn't bother, in this day and age you would expect it to be included or at least at a reasonable price. There was a safe in the room but again it was an additional 2Euros a day. We were a very long way from the exit up several flights of stairs which was ok for us but would be difficult for anyone less able, there are 2 separate lifts to get up and down but often out of order. Our apartment was next to the very busy main road with bars of security fencing around & the walkway ran directly in front so felt a bit like we were animals in a zoo. Also it wasn't in Mogan but Taurito the next bay round and much less attractive. Parking was almost impossible close by, had to park most days at bottom of steep, long hill, not ideal with bags.

For the money this hotel is hard to fault, good location for the beaches of Porto Rico and town of Morgan, all apt have view of the coast and whist the pool area is not that big it is but tidy and clean, we were given a newly updated 1 bed apartment which whist basic was of a good size and clean, unless you intend to stay in 24/7 a car is needed or be perpared to gets lots of cabs. The staff were very helpful at all times. The only real downside is the parking which is limited and at busy time expect to have to park at the bottom of the hill which is a bit of a pain and not a nice walk when dark as the pavement is in poor condition

Great accommodation, need to transport for Mogan

Accommodation was superb - we had a large two bedroomed duplex apartment for two of us. The staff were really helpful. The only downside was that we assumed that the hotel was in Mogan or we would at least be able to walk into Mogan but in the event either needed to drive or catch the bus.

Perfect romantic getaway

The hotel is in a beautiful location, and the apartment was lovely and spacious. Breakfasts and sunsets on that balcony with the view were incredible.
Staff were very helpful, and in particular, the wait staff made our Valentine's Day dinner so memorable.
Only negative is the lack of parking, and for the location, unless you literally want to stay in hotel 24/7, you need a car! We sometimes had to park at the bottom, near the main resort, and walk the 5-10mins up the hill. We didn't find this too much of a problem, except when we were coming back late and it was a bit chilly! BUt anyone with limited mobility/fitness should be aware of this issue.

One night stay excellent. Perfect solution for us.

Arranged at short notice within timeshare complex. Located high on side of ravine amongst other complexes. Excellent road access but car parking limited and a good walk downhill if you cannot reserve or find a spare space at top. Reception and porter services excellent. The apartment was modern fully equipped and spotless with big sun terrace. Delightful place to stay but do have a good think about location if car parking or hills are an issue. It is not practical to get to beach. There is a good shuttle bus though that would solve all this.

The staff were the best we have ever dealt with, the place was spotless and very clean, the restaurant is excellent value for money and the food and waiters/waitresses are just superb in every way.
The pool is heated and again spotless too, defiantly great value for money and will be back very soon.

Hotel stay over Christmas

Although we didn't pay too much for this stay, we were quite disappointed with it. The hotel is in Taurito, not far from Puerto Mogan, but not walkable to. The resort itself only had a beach and nothing else. All the other hotels are all inclusive so there were no restaurants at all. Without a car, you would be stuck. The apartment we stayed in was not refurbished and it was extremely small, basic and dated.

Very good hotel until the one lift broke down

We are both 84and when the lift broke down we had to walkup4 floors not easy the next day we wanted our cases taking to reception and after three phone calls my wife climbed the stairs and found three staff discussing who would go down and they phoned down to say our taxi was waiting that spoilt a good holiday in a good hotel hotelxxx

Really nice hotel, brilliant view and great rooms. Situated in a nice and quiet spot, ideal if you don't want to much hassle and noice. Only disapointment was that we couldn't get at parkingspot for our rented car - and when they finally found one after 3 days, we had to pay 15 Euros for it.

Getting to the apartment was a little awkward due to having a bit of luggage and having to go up and down the steps apart from that brilliant, the active team and staff were very helpful and friendly, tennis courts were available and nice touch to have a wii tent, Spanish lessons, aqua gym.

Good value for money.

Had hoped for a re-furbished room but none were available. However we were able to pay to upgrade to a 2 bedroomed apartment. Very well equipped, spacious terrace and comfortable bed. We only stayed for 3 days but would love to stay for longer on another occasion. An uphill walk on a poor pavement back to the hotel from the beach. Good local bus service to other resorts which, unless you rent a car or like a very inactive holiday, you are going to need to get to a range of shops and restaurants at other resorts.

Relaxing stay. All apts have a sea view.

Our apartment had been recently refurbished so was in good condition. The bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the large patio out to the Atlantic and across the resort was stunning, particularly watching the sun set every evening. The entertainment was OK bearing in mind it was free. The restaurant was fine for basic food but would disappoint gastronomes. The themed meals were much better, with fresh ingredients. Bearing in mind a taxi from the airport is 70 Euros each way, a hire car is a good investment. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. For example we reported a broken fridge door shelf which was only obvious when stacked with bottles and this was sorted within minutes. The pool is warm - lovely!

We stayed in Puerto Mogan for a week and then needed to book a hotel for one night because we couldn't get a flight back when our previous stay ended. Taurito is not the kind of place we would normally go to but Cala Blanca was fine for our needs, clean, well equipped and generally friendly. Two gripes: free wifi would be appreciated and whilst the staff were really good, the man in the restaurant on the afternoon of April 4th refused to give us promised free wifi access in the pool area and really was very rude. Other than that OK!

Disappointed to be put in an apartment on lowest floor with views from terrace of barred security fence and road crash barrier!I complained but was offered no better. Apartment comfortable but several items not working properly. Plumbing noisy.

Everywhere stairs . Lift in two parts is really helpful, but steps cannot be avoided in lower floors.
Poor breakfast (size) and late (starting 9 am) for those who want to do walking trips/start day early.
Everything cost extra - car parking , WIFI connection , beach towels, laundry,sauna and gym ( for member diamond resort free , but I am not a member :(

3rd visit - very friendly staff

This is our 3rd January visit to this hotel. The room was very good and the staff very friendly. The one downside for us this visit was that the parking facilities had changed (no fault of the hotel) and it was much harder to get a parking space within easy walking distance. Unfortunately the hotel is at the top of a steep hill, with a very poor pavement and little lighting if you are having to make the walk back up at night. For this reason I could not recommend this hotel for people with walking difficulties - there are a lot of steps!!
Having said that if you are fit and don't mind the walk it is a good location and has very nice views.

Ideal room not ideal location

Hotel is about 80% timeshare so you will only ever get to book the bottom 2 levels so your view to the sea will never be as good as from the timeshare apartments. There is also 2 lifts to use to get down to the rented apartments. You are in the middle of nowhere really so you need a car, but the parking is for timeshare only the rest of the parking is taken up by every one else and you have to park at the very bottom of a hill with no lights, I am a fast walker and it was taking me about 10-12min to get from car to apartment. But all that said the apartment is as clean and new as can be you really get everything in the room and I mean everything, from smart tv DVD, dishwasher, the bed and bedding is 1st class, you have every thing you need in the kitchen it's full. So in a nut shell you will need a car but 10min walk from where you park to get to room, nothing really in the area of hotel hence the car, but apartment is first class with more that every thing in it you could ever need. Ideal for some but not everyone.

The resourt with is rooms and swiming / sunn bathing area is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
You need a car to get to the beach or other resturants. This year the kitchen on the hotel was not so good, so we went out eating most days since we had our own car.
