Room was spotless. The negative is that the whole of the hotel was very dark, even the hallways walking to your room. When walking pass the bathroom there was a motion sensor light so rather annoying.

Loved this place. Very clean and great staff. A desk clerk spent about 45 minutes one evening helping my husband with a parking ticket we got in Evora - we know no Portuguese! Also received a great massage.

Staff were really good allowing me to train, using the gym at night.

Gym small, but machines and dumbbells need to be upgraded really soon, it makes the hotel look less when all is so good. But they must have a gym!

Beds a bit too high for my elderly mother to get on.

There should be a parking space for disable people at the front of the hotel. All other spaces were full.

Breakfast really good.

All in all, I will be coming back again. Thank you all.

Nice, but a 4-star? Not sure it’s up to the grade! Buffet breakfast- awesome. Pool good but crowded- not enough loungers for the number of guests. Rooms nice but dark. No coffee or tea in the rooms, ok but not great.

Staff at the reception avoids making eye contact with guest as though to avoid having to work more than they have to. The shower handle broke right off while showering. There was no way to turn it from scorching hot to luke warm until they can to fix it. The cost of food and drinks at the bar were ridiculously expensive. There is no one at the front to help with your luggage, and even if the people working the reception desk see you struggling with your luggage they simply watch you struggle with it. This place is nice but the staff working the front desk should all be fired for being the laziest people I have ever seen working the reception desk. Also, the additional 5 euros per person per day to use the pool is ridiculous.

Lovely and attentive staff. Comfy and spacious room (looking out onto the pool side). Great breakfast buffet. Had room service when we arrived which was great and first breakfast in room. Massage at the spa was incredible. Right next to Lidl for snacks. Good location for Ubering into the city or the beach. Pool in March was freezing though (but there is the spa pool anyway).

Tudo excelente com apenas e só um incidente que acabou por afetar grande parte da estadia. Na chegada ao hotel aquando do check-in sendo que tinha-mos uma reserva de 4 quartos, e como o check-in iria levar o seu tempo, foi pedido que um dos casais efetuasse o check-in primeiro e tivesse acesso imediato ao quarto pois uma das pessoas estava maldisposta e necessitava de se dirigir ao quarto para utilizar o WC e poder descansar. O que foi negado e que apenas fazendo o pagamento poderiam aceder ao quarto. Uma vez que o pagamento iria ser efetuado no final do check-in dos 4 quartos gerou-se bastante desconforto para ambas as partes. Este episódio acabou por afetar a nossa estadia de uma forma negativa. Fora este episódio nada mais a salientar. Pequeno almoço excelente. Jantar de qualidade, quartos confortaveis.

The pictures of the hotel are misleading. Are taken from an angle which make the hotel look bigger than what it is.

Breakfast selection is poor.. lack of options and if you book a slot in the last hour .. then some options are unavailable, which isn’t great as there isn’t as many options as it is .

Fantastic hotel staff are super friendly - dinner is fantastic to put it mildly. Breakfast was ok. Spa was a bit sparse to be polite. Would have been good if the pool/hydro whatever was warm. Steam room wasn’t working.

Quite a dark theme going on - room was especially dark which was annoying. But I would definitely stay here again

I was accompanying a disabled gentleman as his carer, and he had a fabulous experience. The room was large and as equally sumptuous as a regular room. The staff were exemplary. Faultless. The spa facility was excellent, and my friend enjoyed a massage. Difficult to see where improvements could have been made. Highly recommended.

The staff was OK, but we had been used to exceptionally friendly, warm and helpful staff at our hotel in Porto. Also, there was no coffee/espresso machine in the room or in the lobby that we could find. There was a tiny, hot corner for the gym. The dinner was excellent and the breakfast was too. The food staff was excellent.

last day at approx 10pm an elderly japanese couple entered my room using a pass key given to them at reception...i just exited the shower...this could have ended very differently..it wasnt a mistake...the pass opened my door...pretty weak apology at reception..

Black n Gold designer showroom hotel

Selected this location due to it's close proximity to Aroeria Golf, as it's conveniently nearby. It's a strange location in a residential area with very little in the way of restaurants, or shops apart from a Lidl store thankfully just across the road so it bailed us out as we didn't want to get in the car and drive as we'd been traveling all day. The restaurant didn't seem very inviting and the atmosphere of the hotel wasn't great as it was very quiet, it's theme is black and gold and feels dark and a little oppressive. The lighting is minimal and in some places hard to see, read or function easily. The room was lacking in convenient power outlets or art and felt quite office like, the bed was very big & comfortable though and Breakfast was good. Wouldn't want to stay here for more than one night....maybe it's better in summer.

Good alternative to a expensive Lisbon hotels.

Nice and modern hotel with a lot of little art touches that makes the place unique. Great outdoor pool area. Attentive and helpful service. Around 30 minutes drive from the heart of Lisbon. Spa is a bit overrated as its missing dry sauna and closes at 20 which is way too early if you are sightseeing Lisbon and coming back late to the hotel.

While it is a little far away from the action of Lisbon, it would make a great home base for anyone who wants to head out for the day and have a great place to enjoy in the evening/night. This is also a great hotel to relax at. From the ultra modern decor, to the amenities , to the food, this does offer a lot. You have to pay for the indoor pool which is kind of lame but the outdoor pool is really nice. I was going to give this 5 stars but our room service took over two hours. The front desk said a bunch of orders came in at once but when I asked the person who delivered the food to our room about the hold up, he said they burned one of our entrees. It is a fairly new place so they are working out some of the kinks still I'm sure. Read other reviews complaining about the black walls but I thought it was kind of neat. The room was nice and the beds were super comfy. The only thing that was a little off for us was the fact that the shower in the bathroom had a glass wall so you could see into the shower from the room. The middle part of the glass is frosted but not enough for it not to be awkward if you are there with anyone other than your spouse (my 11 year old was with us). They should install some sort of roll down curtain or something to allow privacy.
Would stay here again and recommend for anyone wanting a unique but cool hotel experience.

Unique Unsual Beautiful Hotel

A very unique, unusually decorated and beautiful hotel was like living in a different world. The interior of the hotal and rooms was modern but very interestingly decorated, the room were large, smart, clean well furnished. Probably not the best place for young children though just by its nature. The swimming pool area was again very modern and unusual but beautifully laid out. Although not on the beach only 10 mins from several wonderful Atlantic beaches. The location is quiet maybe too quiet there are few restaurants nearby but again plenty within 10 mins. Staff were generally good and multi-lingual. Need to make it clearer that while the Spa is open to hotel guests it is at an extra charge per person as is the indoor swimming pool. No information in the rooms about the hotel or its facilities or what is nearby this was poor

Strange but nice!!

This is a good hotel. And after a week my wife and I had adapted to the black interior!
Staff were brilliant, particularly at breakfast and in the restaurant.
Breakfast can get a bit chaotic when there are coach parties in, but doesn't that apply
to most hotels? Our room was serviced quickly and efficiently. Overall we had a good
experience and would certainly stay again.

Great hotel, comfortable room and bed. Bathroom linen changed everyday excellent restaurant with full breakfast and good parking facilities. The staff is friendly, very helpful and well presented.
Great decor and pool. Close to local beaches and golf.
Only low point is that it is located in a residential area.

Hotel was generally quite nice but was a long way from Lisbon and in the middle of no where with only a BP service station nearby. The breakfast was repetitive and the dinner menu not great. For the most part the evening meal was buffet of what was left over from breakfast which I feel was not value for money. Staff were friendly and were a lot of help but the location didn't help.

This is a fantastic hotel. It's as good as the intercontinental in town. You will need a car to get here though.
I have stayed here more than 5 times and I get the best sleep. The decor is dark and shiny, sounds odd but it works. Highly recommend this hotel!

I had a very enjoyable stay. Very comfortable room, very friendly and helpful staff. Very good choice for breakfast - I heard negative reports about evening meals, There's a nice restaurant about 200 metres to the right of the hotel. The hotel really is very black!

Ultra modern hotel, minutes from a glorious beach!

Stayed here for a week in this super place garden/pool view with an 8ft bed! Ultra modern. English speaking staff. Fabulous beach just 3 miles away down one straight road. Or the number 116 bus for 2.25€ which stops a minute walk from the hotel.(Bus takes 10 mins) if car hire isn't your thing!
Taxi to and from Lisbon airport around 30€ each way. 20 minute drive. 11 miles.
Pool lovely and peaceful. Great sun beds, really comfortable. Table service to poolside.
Nice food. Good roomservice and restaurant.
Fun, quirky statues etc around the hotel. Although did get asked by friends if this was a swingers hotel... which it clearly isn't!!!
Location is about the 11 miles out of Lisbon so apart from the outstanding beach that you can happily walk up and down all day, you are limited with other things to do unless you have a car. There is a BP garage close by for drinks, ice lollies etc. Lots of restaurants on the beach and a little train that will take you to Capricia and back for 7€ return. There are nudest sections along the beach. Worth walking by for a giggle!
Overall, a lovely relaxing, clean and pleasurable stay!
