Loved this hotel! The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, incredible croissants and eggs cooked to order! The location is excellent, close to the bus station, the main square and backs right on to the Time Out Market. Most importantly the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. U highly recommend it.

Dare Lisbon River is close to everything and although it is across the street from an amazing vegetable and food market, it is very quiet. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and ready to help us with any request. Outstanding! The breakfast was perfect and the lounge was a nice quiet place to unwind with a glass of wine. We were also very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort level of our room. I will not hesitate to recommend it to any friends visiting Lisbon.

George and the rest of the staff were as high quality as you can get. Dare Lisbon River is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The view from the room was absolutely stunning. The location is ideal. Would highly recommend.

Sara were so helpful and full of tips.
The hotel it self is located right across Time Out Market which made it super convenient to get a bite to eat. Also across the street is the train station, the tram station, the ferry station, and the subway! Every mode of transportation you can think of or need to get around this beautiful city is a couple steps away. We considered staying in different parts of Lisbon before ultimately deciding in this hotel and we are happy we did. We easily explored the city and came back to our wonderful hotel and neighborhood that had the exact vibe we were looking for. It was busy with lots of shops and dining but at the same time slower and not super heavily crowded. It was perfect and would stay here again if visiting Lisbon.

We had an amazing time at Dare Lisbon River when we stayed there at the end of August of 2025. The location was what we needed - close to everything, easy to call an uber or take public transport, and having a great coffee shop downstairs. Breakfast was simple, elegant, and top quality. This was the vibe we really wanted over some big-chain soulless hotel.

But what truly made it stand out was the staff. The service was absolutely exceptional. Huge shout out to Iris who made our experience among the best we've ever had in a European city. She was extremely attentive and helped secure us an amazing tour of the city, and she (among others) was there for us for any need we had.

Amazing place and we'd love to be back one day!

Everything was lovely .. we had a hard time finding the door for entry on arrival .. but we quickly figured it out. Bathroom was tiny but clean, and served the purpose . Right across the street from the Time out Market if that’s your scene . Great tacos at street level in the same building .

This property was perfect. The room was beautiful with great views (little bit of construction views but still nice). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great hotel!! Location is awesome, right across from Time Out Lisbon which is a gastronomical delight. The staff at the hotel are so kind and helpful. They genuinely wish to help you. The hotel itself is well maintained, clean and the right mix of modern (plumbing) while holding its historical charm (large wood plank floors, wood shutters). I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Lisbon.

We loved our stay at Dare Lisbon River, even though we were only there for 1 night. The location was perfect for us. It was across the street from Timeout Lisbon and was 1 block to Cais Do Sodre where we were able to get the tram/bus to Belem and the train to Cascais. The staff was very welcoming, hospitable and helpful. The original artwork throughout the hotel was lovely. Our room was small, but had a separate sitting room. We had a view of the river. The bathroom was tight, but adorable and had everything we needed. Everything was immaculately clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. They gave us a bottle of wine and a T-shirt in our room, but we could also get glasses of wine in the lobby anytime. There was a nice selection for breakfast including freshly made eggs. We loved our cheese omelettes. They stored our luggage for us while we toured on the day we checked out. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to Lisbon.

Amazing stay in Lisbon! 10/10

My sister and I had a great stay at Dare Lisbon! The hotel was recommended a few times in a girls travel group I'm a part of, and I'm so glad it was. The location was great, the service was top notch (shoutout to Jorge for all the amazing recommendations in both Lisbon and Porto, and for being a smiling face every time we swung by the front desk), and the breakfast was an added bonus.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. We loved the personalized welcome note and t-shirt (they came in handy - we actually wore them on the flight home since we were out of clean clothes!), and the constant flow of great wine.

I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Lisbon.

We were disappointed with how limited was selection of food at breakfast. But everything was fresh.
Also for us was very important location of the hotel: near Time Out Market, near all types of transportation.

It is boutique hotel. They claim 4 stars, but it is not. Small hotel in previous residential building. Beautifully done, but very small space wise.

Not many employees, limited amenities.

Breakfast is worse we had in Portugal. Make sure to order how many eggs you want otherwise you will get one.

Very expensive, specially since it is not in best place. Rooms are nice, but small, specially bathroom.

Ideal location, close to all main attractions in Lisbon. The hotel staff was super helpful and attentive and made the stay even more enjoyable! Pet friendly, very clean and even though it's in the heart of the city, it feels like a sanctuary once you're inside thanks to the soundproof windows.

Fabulous City Hotel

This is a fabulous gem of a hotel in a perfect location. Sarah on reception could not have done more to help when I messed up the booking. She also made us dinner reservations. So helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and the room to relax and eat in is gorgeous.

We loved our loft room and the view of the river. It was within walking distance to everything. The breakfast was nice, especially the coffee. I loved the special touches they left in the room like the welcome note and t-shirts. The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. They would call us a cab when needed and offered many recommendations. Even though we were near pink street and the time out market which tend to be busy, it was extremely soundproof in the room.

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and quiet room with a view of the river, along with a much appreciated balcony.
The hotel is very charming and tastefully decorated, including a bright, inviting, and cute breakfast area.
Dietary restrictions were generously accommodated and the breakfast was great.
The hospitality and warmth of the staff is unmatched, with special kudos to George who went above and beyond and in the most genuine way.

Our stay at Dare Lisbon was amazing from start to finish. When we were checked in by George, he made us feel so special as we were on our honeymoon. He provided us with a drink on arrival and a list of recommended restaurants split into categories which came in so useful!

The room itself was beautiful. It was spacious, comfortable and had amazing views off the balcony, we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the honeymoon.

Continental breakfast was really good, a nice selection of pastries/jams/bread/yoghurt and then the chef made you eggs to your liking.

Overall we had an amazing time and would highly recommend to anyone!

I would say it’s the best 2025 hotel for me. love the design and I even searched the designer for some of the decoration so I can purchase some pieces later. Everything is lovely, the staff, the place and the location is right beside the subway and train station. Oh, and their sound proofing is just amazing，I’m very sensitive to sound and it’s so quiet at night, sleeping on a good quality mattress with this level of quietness is such a bless while traveling. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I’m in Lisbon again.
