I had a nice stay at this B&B. The location is excellent – very close to plenty of restaurants, bars, and other amenities, making it easy to explore the area on foot. It’s also conveniently situated near the main road with trams and traffic, which is great for transport links, though light sleepers might find it a bit noisy at times.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always happy to assist with any questions. The accommodation itself was clean and seems to have been renovated fairly recently, which gave it a fresh and comfortable feel.
There were just a couple of minor drawbacks: the shower could have been a bit cleaner, and there was occasionally a strong smell coming from the drainage. However, this may not be an issue unique to this property.
Overall, a good stay in a convenient location with welcoming staff.

Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent location, away from loud bars but still walking distance to everything you'd want to do in Lisbon. Excellent value for money. Rooms have been modernised in a lovely old building. The bed is actually super comfy which is a rarity in any hotel but one of the most important parts. Only minus was the plumbing sometimes had a foul smell, but it's an old building and it wasn't the whole time.

Attempted to change the date but the hotel lied and indicated they were fully booked. I saw availability on other websites including Expedia. I had booked the hotel before the flight and couldnt get a flight from Paris to Lisbon for the dates I wanted, so I booked a flight to Porto with the plan to travel down the next day to Lisbon. I asked the hotel to changed the date, but you know. I stayed at Holiday Inn express in Porto instead, had fun, extended my stay and then travel to Lisbon 2 days later. I also booked a room at Holiday Inn in Lisbon for a few nights. It made up for the disappointment of this hotel.

We were put in an annexe with a separate entrance, I think because we chose room only & didn't choose breakfast. The room did seem a little dated but adequate. I wouldn’t stay during the summer here, there’s no a/c only a fan.

Good location, and perfect if you’re looking for a safe, walkable place. It’s nearby plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as bars and nightlife in the evening, and is a block off of a “main” road if you’re concerned about walking backstreets late. Breakfast was diverse and always available on time, and the staff were friendly and receptive; they also spoke English which was great as someone that knows no Portuguese.

Staff were lively and very helpful. Very walkable location. Our showerhead was covered in mould and there was a lot of noise from the escape room next door and the road right outside our window. No aircon but this is my fault for not checking, there was a fan in the room though. Overall it was fine and comfortable for a few days. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that.

It’s near a lot of shopping and attractions. It’s a nice place and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. The one thing I didn’t like about the room I stayed in is that the bathroom is right next to the street and it’s uncomfortable to do anything because people can see you. Other than that everything was great. Thank you!

We walked a lot to city centre and it is close to the metro/buses, and train stations, and is close to a lot of restaurants too. The internet access worked pretty well. The beds are comfortable.

I had a great stay at Inn Bairro Alto. I was travelling alone. I felt very safe. The room was very clean and had a fan which was needed for the warmth of Portugal. I had a private room with a shared bathroom with a few toilets and showers. There was never anyone in the bathroom which was nice. The front desk staff were all so lovely. The location is perfect!!! Steps away from everything, but still feels quiet enough.

The staff are very warm, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and enough for our purposes. The hotel / Inn is located in the middle of Bairro Alto - which is a beautiful, olde worlde, very touristy area. The location then is great for exploring. But note its very hilly with cobbled pavements and lanes everywhere with old buildings and doorways which are pretty pokey. Be prepared for lugging bags up steep hills, narrow doorways and stairwells. Arguably this is half the fun!

Pros: We were able to check-in early which was a huge bonus (especially after the walk from the train station and a lot of jet lag) but even if you were unable to check-in early, they allow you to leave your luggage in a locked room until your room is ready. The staff was extremely friendly and even gave us a wine opener since we did not have one. It is also steps from Calcada do Combro - a main street with lots of food options - which was convenient.

This wasn’t a huge issue for us since we were out sightseeing and not spending too much time in the room, but I can see how it may be difficult for other people. A great value hotel. We both had spacious rooms. The hotel is really central, in the heart of the old town. This does come with its issues, as that area of town is noisy. This is no fault of the hotel though. If it is hot, there was a fan in the room, but open windows will let in noise. I wore ear plugs and slept well. The bed in particular was super-comfortable. One minor issue was that my sliding bathroom door needed some attention.

The place does not have an elevator, so it was really difficult to get my suitcases up and down all of the stairs even into the lobby. They also kept the glass doors closed leading out of the lobby into the building, which I had to squeeze my suitcases through as well multiple times. The breakfast buffet was not good. I would not recommend. The hotel and the surrounding area is a bit smelly. My room and bathroom was very clean, but there is no air-conditioning just a fan.

The staff was amazing and the location was accessible, But if you go in summer the room doesn’t have ac, neither good cable tv, neither the hotel infrastructure do not have access for disable, neither emergency services in case of power outages (we had 12 hours without electricity). Requested a lamp to be able to walk around the unit and I never received.

The bathroom had a couple of minor issues (toilet seat wrong size, shower door got stuck as you closed it) but we didn’t raise these as they didn’t impact our stay. Nice enough but high risk of noise
Good price for a suite but perhaps you get what you pay for. Lots of space but fairly basic room, lacking kitchen essential like breakfast bowls. Room on ground floor so right next to breakfast area so would be noisy if you wanted to sleep in and the walls/ceilings are really thin so at mercy of good neighbours in the hotel, street noise and surrounding appartments which has late night loud groups (thankfully not super late parties while we were there) which obviously the hotel has no control over. Staff were helpful with issue we had working out the shower, it's slightly unusual so perhaps some instructions would be a good idea in the manual.

The property is in an amazing neighborhood that has restaurants and shopping less than a 30 second walk. Our private room/with private washroom was located just off of a private street, so we did not have any issues with noise. Highly recommend!!

Had an amazing one night stay at this cozy B&B! We got to Lisbon prior to check in and were able leave our luggage for storage at the front. When we returned for check in, they had our luggage waiting for us in our room. The location was walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. At breakfast the staff had taken note it was my birthday and surprised me with a mini champagne bottle which was so sweet and thoughtful. Would book again!
