Wonderful view. Place is fairly clean (kitchen floor was dirty). I had a couple of questions before checking in, and found replies to be a bit rude. Other than this, it was a nice stay.

This property is terrible - beware of staying here

A lot of problems with this place. First and most important - they say they have an elevator. This is the main reason I chose this place over others in the area that do not. We were not told ahead of time that the only lift was broken - stayed there for an entire week and it remained broken the entire time and never saw any effort to fix it.

The communication was poor - we arrived late at night due to delayed flight and followed their instructions, which failed to mention the lift was broken or that the alternate entrance was on another street. At midnight we arrived to try to figure this out on our own - there were confusing signs taped to the door but that was it. No one to call at night if you're having a problem entering.

As soon as we got inside we saw several roaches in the hallway. Never in my life have I seen roaches in a Lisbon apartment building.

Inside the apartment, several things did not work. In the morning we were able to contact someone to fix them.

On the last day of our stay our entrance code was deactivated prematurely, locking us out of the building at night. We had to wait on the street for someone else staying there to let us in..

Worst place I have ever stayed in Lisbon in 15 years of travel there.

The apartment had a very bad smell like sewage. We could not sleep. For check in, the kiosk was not working. When we woke up there was a cockroach in the hall. No WiFi at all. Very bad experience.

I recently stayed at Lisbon Serviced Apartments and had a horrifying experience. On my first morning, I woke up with multiple bites all over my body. It quickly became apparent that the room was infested with bed bugs. I had to visit a pharmacy and start medication due to the severity of the bites, which have caused me considerable discomfort for several days now.

The lack of cleanliness and hygiene at this hotel is unacceptable. Bed bugs are a serious issue, and the presence of them indicates a significant problem with maintenance and care. This experience has not only ruined my stay but also affected my health and well-being.

I strongly advise against staying at Lisbon Serviced Apartments until they address this issue thoroughly. No one should have to endure what I did.

Nice apartment but inconvenient

The apartment was clean. We had a 4th floor apartment. The elevator did not work on our entire 4 day stay. We had an elderly person with us. It was very inconvenient. The washer did not work. The cleaners did a nice job keeping the apartment clean. Communication was not good at all. You should confirm the elevator works before booking. It should not take more than 2 days to fix an elevator.

Great apartments. Very big, clean and with great facilities. The communication with them could have been better. We were told we would receive an email 24 hours before our stay with details of how to check in. But we had to chase this information all through the travel day and eventually ring them in Portugal to make sure we actually had the apartment. This bit needs to be improved.

The place was spartan. Beds worn were the springs would pop and jolt you. AC upstairs was a joke. Alarm for floods in shower went off when wiping floor. No way to disarm. And it went off because shower head was broken spraying water everywhere. Shower wash gel container half worked. Lots of towels though. Everything else worked well. Clothes washer dryer was only a washer. But with AC not working drying clothes in room worked really well. Overall ok place but just ok.

Amazing! LOCATION! LOCATION! CLEAN! It’s a nice size appartment with a washer machine, separate bedroom (upstairs) - the cleaning ladies where very professional and sweet.
There is a main door to the appartments and a library, so during day time you don’t need a code to the building but you need it to the elevator! Wifi code it’s behind the main door **

Great space for a group,

We got to the apartment, managed to easily use the check in based on instructions sent. Was amazed by the amount of space in the apartment and kitchen was well equipped. For us the roof terrace and view was the best part! Great location for getting to lots of restaurants and bars. A few things let the property down, lots of window locks etc were broken, we couldn’t really get the AC to do anything so we had some warm nights. Could do with a freshen up and a clean in general and there was some noise from other apartments but overall was well with the money for us

Sewage smell but great location.

Great location, virtual check in is a joke and hardly works. Unfortunately our room’s bathroom stank of sewage so both of us had to use the other bathroom. Roof terrace was lovely with a fantastic view. Bed squeaked so badly that I woke up at 5am.

Great location to the bairro alto area. Walking distance to all the bars and restaurants and shopping. Very spacious.
The only downside is the stairs to go bedroom from within the apartment. And if you need to use the bathroom at night, you need to take those stairs.

Small 2 bedroom apartment

A comfortable duplex apartment with a river view from the bedroom. There was a huge party next door till early morning. The kitchen was very comfortable for cooking, except for that there was no oven. Bedrooms are very spacious, with lots of storage space. Decent size living room with combined dining, two comfy sofas. If you need floors to be washed, you have to ask the cleaners. They are very lazy, even asked me once whether I need a change of towels assuming that I won’t need anything else.

Central apartment with beautiful city roofs and river views, huge party terrace, great size living room, two bathrooms with tubs, separate kitchen (very dark though). It was clean, I had to ask to thoroughly wash the floor once during the 3-day stay. Change of towels every day. The area is lovely, lots of character, close to the river. Cons: if someone walks on the floor on the same level or upstairs, the furniture is moving. Lots of parties around.

We booked travel to Europe but it was canceled due to lock down in Spain and Portugal. Every property either allowed us to cancel the booking or give a voucher for future booking except this property. Expedia told us that property refuse to refund or issue a voucher. I am not comfortable in staying at a place with this kind of management.

The location of the apartment is very central to tourist attractions. So much so that you should watch for pickpockets outside the door. The apartment itself was HUGE and spotless. It was full of amenities that I was not expecting. The woman who checked us in was amazing and took the time to give us recommendations on what to do. There is not one negative thing that I can say. I loved my stay here and will be staying here for my next visit

Contemporary apartment within an historic building. Very comfortable. Sound proofing was excellent if you need to shut out the bustling street sounds below. Lovely view out to the waterfront. Access was straightforward and very secure. Lively location, plenty going on. If you have a car then parking can be a bit tricky to find and is not cheap. All in all though we were very pleased with our choice and would go there again.

Good: Spacious, wonderful view from the master bedroom, great location close to the tram and waterfront and mini-grocery store
Bad: 1) strong sewer smells in both bathrooms and kitchen.
2) No locks in any of the bathrooms or bedrooms
3) Bad communication - email only. Nobody answers the phone, ever.
4) Terrible WiFi
5) Fridge door opens the wrong way, so you have to close the kitchen door to open the fridge.

Basically, this apartment is lipstick on a very well located and large pig. You can do better, but you could do a lot worse!

It is a very nice place. Well appointed. The Barrio Alto is probably not an area for families. But for us, it was fine and kind of fun to see the night life. You do not have to walk very far to get to quieter, more mature areas, but you may have to step over some bodies to get there.
Our apartment was very spacious and well appointed. Unfortunately, it was not one of the units with a balcony, or much of a view. But I can certainly imagine it being perfect for a small family. Really appreciated having the laundry facilities right in the unit! Happened to need that as I was on an extended travel schedule.
They do need to upgrade the towels. And would have appreciated some hand towels, or paper toweling in the kitchen.

We stayed in apartment number 3G, it was clean and comfortable, had a full kitchen, beds were comfortable, had main service every day which was very nice. This place was centrally located in Barrio Alto, close to everything. Market was 10 steps away restaurants all around it. The only complaint is that it was very noisy at night due to the bars, the noise was there until 4-5 am but it did not keep us away from enjoying our trip.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. You need code access to get in and out at night so you don’t have unwanted people hanging around.

With that being said...

Lisbon seems to trasform however from families walking around during the day to rough looking people at night and they liked to hang out nearby the property. We didn’t feel very safe at night but zero problems during the day.

Great apartment rental.
Our stay was very good. The apartment was spacious clean and well maintained. We liked the cleanliness and overall good vibe of our apartment away from home. Things which could have been better, but were not deal breakers; there was no AC which is a Canadian creature comfort once the temp gets above 20c. We found things quite warm at night even with the windows open.
As this business doesn’t use a traditional hotel model (no front desk) it is helpful to call ahead, to arrange to have someone check you in. If like us you don’t have a local SIM there are enough pay phones that this isn’t to hard to overcome. Failing this there is a buzzer on the front door which worked for us. If there was a failing in administration it was the fact that we had to figure this out for ourselves as the staff, who were really great otherwise, made no effort to inform us or return our emails. Overall I enjoyed my time here and would stay again.

Okay for a night

As I said it's ok for a night. I wouldn't stay any longer due to it being in an noisy area. People poured out of nearby hoteliers until 3am and talked, shouted and sang. We didn't like the old wood pallets used as headboard - uncomfortable. Worse thing was the high step from living area to kitchen and another just inside bedroom door - both were hard to see and easy to fall down!

In the Heart of the Action

I love the building and the location. The view of the river every morning from the bedroom was particularly awesome! The apt. is very large. Everything was great. The only thing is that I was unable to figure out the clothes dryer. There are many restaurants and attractions nearby. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

Middle of the tourist district

It was a fantastic location - in the middle of everything. It's literally next door to the Funicular that is on everyone's \"must do\" list. Great apartment as well - very big and comfortable. There is a comfortable downstairs -- the couch converts to a bed if you need extra room -- as well as a bedroom upstairs that has spectacular views.

The only reason I give it less than a \"5-star\" rating is that when we showed up, it hadn't been cleaned at all -- it was literally dirty from the previous people. But the cleaning staff were out in the hallway, apologized and got to work -- 20 minutes later, we had a clean kitchen and clean sheets and we were in business. But it wasn't a great way to start off a trip (we were exhausted from traveling!)

But everything else was great and I would recommend it.

OK for a family or couples but not for singles

The highlight of this apartment was its location in the Barrio Alto. Otherwise, it was an OK place to stay but with few amenities including no wash cloths, no bars of soap (just gel in a wall mounted dispenser), dismal lighting, and no access to any exercise equipment. It would be most appropriate for a small family or two couples who wanted to eat in the apartment but for a single it is far from ideal. Only a dearth of hotel rooms with a reasonable price drove me to reserve this place.

Very nice apartment and great location. The apartment was clean and in very good condition.

We arrived several hours before check in and the staff (cleaning crew) allowed us to leave our luggage in the room while they cleaned it and we could walk around without needing to deal with the bags.

Only one issue. The bathroom was really dim and frankly hard to see when grooming. Impossible to see onesself clearly at the mirror (putting in contacts, shaving, etc.). At one point

Horrible hotel . Please do not book .

Our family had a horrible experience with the hotel and management . First of all one of the bedrooms was infested with bed bugs that resulted us being bitten . Second our apartment was facing a busy street that people partied with screaming and banging noises and loud music until 3 am in the morning . Third there was smell of sewage coming from kitchen as well as the bathroom . We have attempted to call and send email to management but we have not received responses to our emails and inquiries to our phone calls . Furthermore we have proof of this by videos and pictures that we have taken as proof .Therefore I do not recommend anyone to rent any apartment from this hotel.

Great apartment, confusing check in process

The apartment is very comfortable for 6 people, the area is very noisy and busy perfect if you want todo some bar hoping or deinking, not so much if you want to sleep quietly, the rooms are very comfortable and clean.
The arrival process was messy, we made two reservatiosn with them because we decided to get to Lisbon a day earlier and we were never told that the first night would be in a different building and never got the address for the different building si we had to pay for 2 extra taxis to get to the other place, very inconvenient.

Fantastic experience

We stayed in room 3H, a two bedroom suite facing the port. The bedrooms were away from the streets and were quiet and comfortable. The kitchen was very well-provisioned with equipment. The suite had a fantastic balcony (large, shared with one other room but divided by a screen) looking over the bridge and statue across the river, and a living room large enough for entertaining guests, should one wish to use this suite as a group 'headquarters'.

We had no difficulties with the key codes - worked every time - and the cleaning service was prompt and courteous. I gave the hotel staff a '5', but there is no reception on location, only telephonically via a hotline in the front hall. Still, we had no problems and the information they sent in advance worked out well.

Highly recommend this location and business model - kept the room very reasonable and gave us a great location for exploring the city.

Nice apartment in the middle of the city

Apartments are large and well equipped, not luxurious but comfortable. Just the codes at the entrance are a bit too many to memorize easily. It is also difficult to load and unload the luggage to and from the taxi, because there is no place for the cars to stop in the front. I recommend to be light on your luggage if you stay here.

Location was a reasonable walk from the metro stop and on a popular trolley route. The room we had was setup great for an adult family of 5 with enough beds for everyone and two bathrooms. The room also had a great balcony with a large table and beautiful views of the river. The down side was the upkeep on the place was poor. The elevator was broken, the bathrooms smelled like sewage, the vents didn't work, some of the lights were out, the stove top was broken, the freezer was one big ice brick, and overall the room wasn't very clean. We sent a note to the service on our first date, and although they responded via email quickly, nothing was fixed. This room could really be great with a bit of TLC.

Nice location. Very central. Lots of cafes. Tram just outside the door.

Accommodation clean and looks modern. Great view across bay from bedroom.

But not worth 5 stars. Shabby.

Smelled of sewage. Shower door did not close. Mildew round sink and bath. Window handle missing so would not open. Headboard missing and screws sticking out wall. Sofa was a single bed with blanket and some cushions.

Worst of all...bed bugs. Came home with very itchy rahshes across body.

Have emailed Expedia about the standard of accommodation but heard nothing back despite chasing.

Great location issues with smell

The apartments themselves are right in the heart of the lively part of the city and everything that one needs is provided.

My issue was my apartment smelt of damp and blocked drains which were not fixed when asked and made it difficult to stay in the living room and one bedroom.

Very nice apartment. Great location.

A little hard to find at first. Once we arrived, entry codes worked fine and apartment was spacious & clean with fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom & shower were great. Excellent location with many great restaurants and cafes nearby. Parking was a challenge as they had no parking facilities but we found pay parking garage nearby. We are a family of 5 and apartment was perfect for us. Great location, great value.

Overall this apartment was great. Good neighborhood, close to metro, lots of places to eat and shop nearby, clean. Virtual check-in was easy.

Here's the one complaint: the photo bait & switch. Thought I was paying top dollar for the loft apartment in the pictures. Instead I paid top dollar for another apartment, one that looked NOTHING like the pictures. It left a sour taste. Disappointing

Unfortunately we had bugs in our room and this naturally decreased our level of comfort as we questioned the cleanliness. There is no reception but we managed to find and get into our room with the codes provided to us. Another family was stuck in the foyer without codes or anyone to call.

cumbersom flat but good location

very good location in the center of the City. Very odd flat i two levels. Ground level is pretty dangeres, because of the flor, that is lowere in the midle. First flor i very nice with a beatifull sigt over the river.

Beautiful modern 2 floor unit.

New condition... new bath... new kitchen... 2 floors... about 1000 sq ft... elevator tram to the waterfront area is at your door... I love Barrio Alto... Fresh towels daily.... market.... restaurants.... butcher shop... 1 minute away... my favorite lodging of the 4 I used in Europe

Great Place Close to All of the Lisbon Sites

Nothing fancy, but the rooms were clean and had all of the necessities. Our room also had a beautiful view of red-tiled roofs and domes, with the water in the background. Loved the bed -- we think it was an Ikea mattress, which is all we buy for our beds at home. We were within walking minutes of the Alfama district and the other walking tours that were suggested by Rick Steves. Also an easy walk to the Metro, which offered us quick, cheap, easy access to the airport. It was perfect for us!

Superb clean apartment in ideal location.

The apartment is modern, clean and spacious with the bedroom on a mezzanine level. The views are a bit restricted as you only get the harbour and sea view from the bedroom window but that's the only down side. The apartment is serviced every day and there is everything you need from washing machine, dishwasher, and lots of storage. Will recommend this apartment without hesitation.

great apartment, no service

we were 5 adults & 1 two year old child, and the apartment was big enough to accomodate our group. i had read other reviews before booking that said the location was great, and found that to be true. we walked from the apartment all over the city over the course of a week, without using the metro once, so i suppose it is centrally located. clean, housekeeping was consistantly good, full kitchen allowed us to stay in a few nights and cook. other reviewers have stated that street noise was a problem, but we didn't hear much. in fact we were there on the anniversary of the revolution and so there was plenty of noise around the city, but we didn't hear it in our unit. maybe the other units have more of a problem with noise. the only downside was the \"virtual concierge,\" which is a euphamism for \"no concierge.\" if you need anything, there's a phone that you can pick up down the hall and maybe someone will answer. or maybe not. like when we arranged with the hotel for a car to bring us to the airport, and the driver didn't show at the specified time, or at all...i tried using that phone to reach the manager but no one answered. i emailed them when i returned home and they got back to me promptly and said there was a miscommunication with the driver. apart from that, having no one on site was not a problem, but if you feel like you need someone there to answer questions or make restaurant recommendations , give directions, etc, you won't get that here. we would go back.

Great location in the city

7 family members visited Lisbon for 7 days and we wanted an apartment with several beds to accomodates us all. This was perfect for our stay. It was an Ikea haven. All the furnishings, beds etc. were Ikea. There was an excellent kitchen with fridge, stove, toaster, coffeemaker, washer, dryer and kitchen necessities like plates, forks, glasses etc. There was plenty of closet space and overall the apartment was very spacious. My only complaint was the bathroom, not the actual amenities which were great, but the smell that emoted from there was so strong that it smelled up the entire apartment, keep the door closed which helps. Daily the apartment was cleaned and fresh towels provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper. The location was excellent. It was a walk away from Bairro Alto where there were many restaurants, bars, small boutiques and great night life. It was close to shopping and only minutes by foot to Chiado, Praca do Rossio, Praca de Luis Camoes. Public transport right outside the door, easy access to cabs,if needed. The building is an old restored landmark and there are at least 5 coffee shops right outside our door. Overall, it is a great place to stay with a large group and a long stay. If you wish to contact anyone there is a phone outside the elevators. I never used the phone, The elevators are difficult to get at times, the stairs can be used as back up, unless they lock the sidedoor, which is a real problem we faced the day we were leaving to the airport.

Since the beginning we had problems with the staff. They did not offer good information about a parking lot and it was very complex to find options. We never had internet access although we asked for a solution. We asked for shampoo and conditioning and the answer was that we had to buy (the second day they supplied it), we asked for additional toilet paper and the man in charge said that he just could give us one per day, and if we require more, we should buy it. When we checked out, the man told us that we had to clean the glasses and when we complained for this, he said that \"he didn't like the spaniards\". This is the worst place where my family and I have ever been.

Great location

Overall this hotel /apartment is in a great location. Nice for a family (we have 2 boys 11 & 8 ) comfortable with great space. Bathroom very modern as well as modern kitchen. Never saw any of the hotel staff. Sometimes the codes on the doors would not work but that could of been us. Sometimes it took a few times which was frustrating.

Charismatic area of Lisbon

Apartment was new, outstanding views of the city and river, very well located, however most of the apartments do not share the same view. At arrival 2pm the hour established for entry, the apartment hadn t even been cleaned, the previous costumer still had his belongings, there was no control whatsoever or attention for those who arrived.
The elevator of the building broke down and the apartments are on the 3rd floor. without elevator using the service stairway leads to an entrance from where you could get out but not get in, or at least nobody knew how. Bathrooms very pretty but if you wanted to take a shower and not a bathtub there was no screen so you ended up flooding the floor. The towel heaters in the bathroom exist but don t work.
Overall great location a lot of potential, nice finishes but still really disorganized. But if you could get over these nags and if you are lucky to get the rooftop apartment waking up and looking out the window to the great river view and location is amazing.

Very seamless with the virtual reception. Easy in easy out. Perfect location for singles or young couples wanting to party. Pretty loud late at night til early morning. But overall close to good restaurants and close to shopping.

Great Location - could use better housekeeping.

This apartment is in a great neighborhood of Lisboa and as a visitor, it is close to all that you would want to be to. The furnishings are basic, but comfortable. The cleanliness of the place could be better - the floors were pretty dirty and if you walked around the apartment barefoot, your feet would become completely \"black\". Housekeeping usually didn't show up to make up the apartment until about 5PM or so, which is pretty late in the day, and their service didn't include making the bed, etc. but only a basic restock of toilet paper, towels and taking out the trash. Overall if you are looking for a comfortable and convinient place to stay, I would definitely recommend this place for the location. The service and amenities are pretty basic.

Great location, roomy, blistering fast wifi!

The apartment was large and had nice views; plenty spacious for 2 adults and 2 children (13 and 11). It was clean and well furnished (nothing spectacular, but comfortable). There is a small kitchen with nice sized refrigerator (we did not really cook there, however). Bathroom was large; all fixtures worked well. The elevator broke our last day there, which ended up being a minor inconvenience. The location felt very safe. You are close to restaurants, cafes and shopping. The famous tram 28 stops right in front of the building, and it was also an easy walk to the Baixa-Chiado metro station. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Decent Apartment for the price

It was an ok place for the price, very updated and the internet was fast. It was a bit of inconvenience for a for someone use to having more available to them. I didn't receive a pin code for the door via email. I was told the pin is sent to your phone via text message. If you do not have an international number you wont receive it and there is no help on site to fix the problem. It was a bit noisy from the restaurants and bars below. Good location for local bars and food and has great views from the terrace. For a sailor such as myself who visits different ports a lot I would prefer to go with a full service hotel next time.
