Perfect central location with lots of food and shopping nearby. Metro station was also less than 5 mins away.
The included breakfast was a highlight, and the hotel decor is very charming as well.
Only things to note would be there’s no elevator and the bathroom in the double rooms are quite small.

Absolutely adored our stay here! First you arrive at the sister hotel around the corner and check in. From there a bellhop will bring your bags to Cashina. There is no elevator so if you have mobility issues please take that into consideration. As you walk into the hotel you a greeted with an aroma of florals mixed with fresh laundry. The building is older so bear in mind that the property is full of traditional European charm. The furniture is so well curated and matches the vibe perfectly. The staircase is grand and made of wood and so inviting. We stayed in a master suite room which is really just a hotel room with a bathroom en suite. The room was comfortably sized and much bigger than most European hotel rooms. The room has a coffee machine and water and two surprise bon bons (delicious). The bathroom was massive. The tub even had bath salts should you wish to take a bath and it looked so tempting. The bathroom was newly renovated and very clean and modern enough but still in keeping with the overall vibe of the hotel. There are bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast is an experience in and of itself. It’s so quaint and again typically European, we loved waking up for our morning coffee and eating in one of the many breakfast areas. There is a piano player at breakfast as well. Will happily come back and recommend to any visitors to Lisbon. Location is central and convenient.

Stay here, Beautiful place and closed to everthing

This place is so chic, great place to stay in Lisboa and is closed to everything! Breakfast is included and is very complete, with a piano playing during the breakfast time. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are amazingly clean! The decor is impeccable extra chic and the balcony is breathtaking! I think the reviews and photos in the page dont make justice for this place! The only kind of negative review is that the place do not have elevator, so if you cant go up the stairs it will be a bit hard to stay here! But other than that is a must! Many restaurants options near by, metro Baixa-Chiado is very close, many shops around hotel…loved it!

Coolest Hotel I Have Ever Seen

One of, if not the, coolest hotel I have ever seen.

The hotel is in a great part of the city near the main sites and good restaurants.

The decoration inside the hotel is done very well. Not sure how anyone can even design something like that.

The best part has to be the communal spaces. There are several rooms / lounges / balconies just open to lounge in. The breakfast is amazing and they have a barrel of wine for a welcome drink. Can't imagine you'll find a better hotel in Lisbon.

This property is managed from the Palacio Das Especiarias, a more unpscale hotel, just around the corner. In contrast, Casinha Das Flores offered a slightly less elegant though presumably more traditional ambiance, especially in the kitchen, where each morning, below the ceiling which was decorated with bouquets of dried flowers, we found a delicious offering of pastries, fruits and juices. In addition to the kitchen we also had access to a large sitting room and a smaller den.

Our room was on the third floor which meant climbing three flights of stairs. However, as you explore this delightful neighborhood you do a fair share of climbing. I should note that we chose a room with a balcony offering a view of the river. This was absolutely beautiful and quite pleasant in the morning or evening. However, as it overlooks the street it can be noisy late at night when folks are making their way home from bars and restaurants, and again in the morning when the workers and vehicles get going. So, there's a trade off. Next time we will try a room overlooking the courtyard, whiich should be a little quieter.

The hotel's connection with the Palacio Das Especiarias offered us the opportunity to attend the Fado dinner. The meal was very good and the performers, singer Carla Piri and two accompanying guitarists whose names I didn't catch, offered a wonderful show that served as a perfect introduction to Fado.

Lastly, the staff at the desk and working the dinner were excellent!

Room #4 had a strong smell of mold and water damage. The smell was very strong and we even brought a staff member to the room to verify. He indicated that the smell was bad and likely coming from water. We notified the staff twice and nothing was done about the situation. Furthermore, the room was carpeted and stained. Do not stay here. No partial refund was issued. I had to sleep in a KN95 mask because the smell was so bad. Unfortunately, when I woke up the next morning, my hair and clothes smelled like strong mold/mildew. We could not sleep comfortably that night. The next day when we complained for the 3rd time the receptionist indicated that there was renovation being done earlier that week and the smell may have been coming from the plumbing. This business is clearly just interested in making quick money and does not care about providing adequate accommodations and meeting basic standards. If the establishment is not up to par then don’t rent/advertise it to the public. Avoid this place if possible.

The particular house we stayed in, Casinhas de Flores, is under construction. Perhaps next summer you can stay there. But it smelled like paint, mold and wet wood. No decent coffee in the morning and our floor slopped with 2 steps inside our room which you could easily trip on. Worst of all was our room was on the 3rd floor with 2 flights of stairs for each floor and the ground floor isn't counted so it's actually 4 flights up. Bathroom sink leaked and no hold bar for the high tub. Terrible for older people and people with mobility issues. But staff was great.

We got our departure date mixed up and accidentally checked out early. Despite going to the front desk, telling them we were checking out and having them hold our bags, they never asked why we were checking out early. We knew it was a long shot, but we I called to tell them of the error and requested for a credit. At that point they said they never checked us out therefore paid for an empty room. It was a bummer on our part. We liked the accommodations and location.

Good location but not much better than a hostel

This could be an ok place to stay under the right circumstances, but it was not worth the trouble and cost for us (a 40ish couple on vacation).

The bulging was in construction, noisy and dust. They transfer me the last two day to another nice room, but loose my time and effort moving in the middle of my tour. But the way Casinha das Flores, has no flores/flowers at all just in the picture to sell.

Staying in a 9 bedroom flat, an authentic Portugal living experience.
Comes with an office room, living room and in one of the best areas of Lisbon, Baixa Chiado.
Staff incredibly friendly and dressed exceptionally well. Can use the master hotel's service for coffee and drinks.
Great assortment of breakfast.
Highly recommend for those wanting to authentically experience Lisbon and not stay in a commercial hotel.

Loved it, but knew what we were getting into

We loved our room. But I do think it was the largest room they had. The others I looked at were quite small.

The smell in the main room and dining area was so bad, I had to hold my breath. Others commented that it was the smell of the septic.
And if I did not know that we were up four flights of stairs, I’d be upset. But, I had read other peoples comments so knew there was no elevator.
If we paid more than what we paid (roughly $135 a night), I might have given it a lower review. But we loved spending time in our room, that had its own little kitchenette.

Shabby-chic but quite special!

Shabby-chic is the optimal precis for the rooms; in fact 9 bedrooms set within a second floor apartment with lounge, balcony, kitchen and study. Be aware that the high ceilings are reflected by an awful not of stairs between street level and the second floor.

This is not a typical hotel but rather a floor in a classic Lisbon historic building that has been subdivided into guest rooms. A little funky, but nice. Staff is extremely friendly, great location and lots of food is provided for breakfast, brunch and some food items throughout the day.

Cute little guest house in Lisbon. Room was quaint, but could have used some updating. Surprisingly quiet once the windows were closed. Small breakfast was awesome. Only surprise was lack of help with luggage at check in. We each had to carry a bag up the four flights in addition to assistance with one bag. I would not recommend if you can not carry a heavy bag up four flights. Otherwise, the stay was great.

The worst hotel ever. It’s not even a Hotel, it’s an apartments. So they walked you 3 min from original place to old smelly building. It’s on the 4th floor No Elevator. Room is so tiny you can smell toilet in your bed. Sink is size of my hand, there’s mo way you’ll be able to wash your face or brush your teeth. Mattress was old on banded, your back will hurt from 1st night sleeping on it.
The only good thing it’s their employees, poor people work hard for their money.

Room and property was much quieter than other reviews said. It was a beautiful space and my single bed room had a beautiful view of the other apartments. Breakfast had many options. Check in was very easy with bag assistance up the stairs. The location is perfect near the metro, not far from the train and lots of shopping and dining around. Highly recommend.

Great stay in the heart of the city

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in the heart of the city. The staff were so hospitable. They greeted us with a drink and insisted on carrying our cases up all those flights of stair. Everyday the kitchen was stocked with fresh food. We were very comfortable in our spacious room and enjoyed the sounds of the square while sipping wine on the balcony.

We loved our stay at Casinhas! Be aware, you must negotiate 3 flights of stairs and while the staff will help you with luggage up and down, you will still have some hard work getting up and down. Additionally, if you are driving, you will have to pay €20 per day to park in the nearby garage. The wonderful staff helped make up for any downfalls of this property!

This is not a real hotel. It is a house transformed into different rooms, it’s more like a hostel. The reception is in another building (very hard to find). Bathroom was just added to the room which created a horrible smell of rotten in the whole room. The common places are nice but otherwise wouldn’t recommend this place, very expensive for what it offers

The Casinha das Flores was a wonderful place to stay.
The building is old and charming and our room was lovely. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the balcony. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The location was fantastic--very close to most sights and transportation. Having the best pasteis de nata in Lisbon close by at the Manteguaria was fantastic. On the downside, the showerhead kept falling out of its holder and spraying water all around the bathroom. We reported it and asked them to fix it, but that never happened. We also would have preferred having brewed coffee available in the morning instead of instant. Ice in the freezer would also have been appreciated, but the staff kindly brought some over from the hotel when we requested it. Overall a very pleasant stay!

This is a fabulous townhouse in the heart of Lisbon’s old town. My only ‘watch out’ is that it is close to some noisy bars, so if you are a light sleeper it may be too close to the action. Staff are amazing - my flight was delayed and the concierge still gave me a warm welcome way after hours.

A beautiful old property, well set-up, well located. The internet wasn't working well in the bedroom but OK in the living room - a commun area.

We didn't like the bathroom, cramped in an already small space. All made of wood and corck, it looked very noce BUT as soon as we closed the window, it stanks like a public toilet. The noise of the street was too loud to sleep with the window open.

We truly could not have asked for anything more of our stay at Casinha das Flores and feel like we got a total bargain! I have so many great things to say. First of all, every single staff member was helpful, patient, and kind. They gave us recommendations and were just overall very friendly when were asking our questions about Portuguese life. The room itself was so pleasant. Beyond just being comfortable and spacious, it was decorated beautifully with a well-executed Portugese theme. It had all the amenities we could need. The only thing I could have asked for was a full-length mirror. Breakfast was always tasty. There were different types of treats each day with some staples. Breakfast in the beautiful space, accompanied by live piano music in the background, was such a wonderful way to start each day. If I had to ask for a change there, it would just be to start a pinch earlier for those of us catcihing early-morning tours. While on the topic of food, the hosts left out cookies, cakes, fruits, and juices in common spaces that we could (and did) enjoy often. Between breakfast and treats, we probably saved a lot of money! Additionally, we signed up for the Fado evening through the hotel. It was well-priced considering that, on top of the show, it included tasty food and unlimited wine. The performance was lovely. The singer was so warm and really got us involved. And of course, the location was great! We had quick access to nearly everything we could need or want to see.

When I booked our stay here I was very excited about this place but upon our arrival things quickly changed. The first thing is that this bed and breakfast is located at a 4th floor with no elevator. After a long day of traveling and 4 heavy bags it was a big let down I really wished it was stated on the booking clearly. After climbing all those steps with our bags we realized that the check in for the hotel was at a different location around the corner (again not clearly stated) the staff was ok, they did their job checking us in and the guy helped us bring one of our bags up the stairs again. The place is basically this big apartment that was converted into a b&b the decoration is beautiful (that was my only favorite part) but the floors are very loud and the walls are not soundproofed, very noisy. He showed us the apartment and then gave us a key for our room and left. When we opened the room (room number 8) I couldn’t believe how small it was (we paid 119€ a night which for Lisbon is a generous) it was basically a space for the bed we could barely fit our bags around the bed, I just wanted to sit and cry. That night we had to leave really fast because we had somewhere to be so we ended up staying there. The next day I saw the room next door was empty (number 9) and way bigger, so we asked to be moved and they did, when I checked online that room was available for 78€ and the room we stayed at was available for 38€. Really frustrating to see how much we overpaid for this.

The property had lots of character and large communal spaces. The down side was the property was up 3 flights of steps, the room was extremely small, there was no river view from our room as advertised-we looked out at a building site opposite. The walls were thin so it was noisy from other guests and street noise from the construction site during the day and bar noise and shouting every night. One night we couldn't sleep due to all the noise and awoke to find a man sleeping on a sofa outside our room in the communal space. He had been let in by other guests, so it didn't feel safe.

Charmin, romantic and historical stay.

We love it! The staff is super friendly, breakfast is awesome and the rooms got all the Portuguese charm that you can imagine that makes you feel like you were brought back to the old age. Just a bit confusing to check in because you gotta go up to another building to do so, but other then that we had a great time staying with them.

Great location, helpful staff, beautiful old building. The Casinha is on the 3rd (4th in US) floor with no elevator and while not a problem for us, it may be for some people who aren't able to walk up and down 4 flights. The room is quite small and the bathroom shower also, if you drop your soap you may not be able to bend down and pick it up. We had a very nice dinner Friday upstairs in the dining area, featuring Fado music.

Pleasant relaxing space w great customer service

Superbly friendly staff and very nice daily breakfast in old town Lisbon, just off the old main square. Most staff speak English, and all that we encountered had great customer service. This guesthouse occupies the third floor of a large house. In addition to your personal room, which has a key lock, there are common areas of a large living room, a library and an open kitchen which makes the space feel spacious and gracious. Breakfast, generous, with hot and cold foods, and table service, is served around the corner at the much larger Palacio das Especiarias, which is a sister property owned by the same group. Insider tip: you also check in at the Palacio das Especiarias -- we didn't know that, and I wish it had been clearer ahead of time, as the check-in staff at the Palacio are great -- we just didn't know to go there at first, and had to fumble our way around at Casinha das Flores before being directed to the Palacio to check-in. Overall, this is a comfortable and relaxing space with a lot of extra amenities in a very fun part of town.

Charming and Friendly

The staff is exceptionally friendly and make you feel right at home! The building is very charming and there are always tea and home made snacks in the kitchen. Everything is very clean. Because of the style of building the rooms are not very sound proof. The only small negative is hearing people coming and going while trying to sleep. Everything else makes this place worth it!

Slighlly different to what we expected

The location is very central, close to the bars and sea front. But it has taken us some getting used to how this place operates. First day we went for breakfast and sat at the empty table, didn't know what to do and where to get the plates, cups etc. from. I went to take plates from the sink area and another guest kindly stopped me and directed to where the plates were. On the 2nd day there was no free table as the tables were joined in 2 and although only two peaople sat at each of them, no one suggested splitting them apart for us so we just waited until they become free. We weren't sure whether the room gets cleaned and towels changed and it was only on our last day that I noticed a table with clean towels in the communal area. The room didn't get cleaned during our 3 day stay and we didn't ask for it. There are 2 apartments with private bathrooms but the standard is significantly different. We got the worse one with no balcony, there was also no wardrobe. I was a bit disappointed with that as I booked this trip for my fiancé' big birthday which the hotel knew about. Also, worth pointing out that the building opposite is undergoing some noisy renovation work which is also unsightly so if you are hoping for great views from your balcony and relaxing atmosphere, you might be disappointed. Overall we had a nice stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful when asked but wished for a slightly better standard of accommodation and probably wouldn't chose to stay here again.

Das Hotel liegt zentral, Metro nur 100 Meter entfernt, Straßenbahn 28 direkt vor der Tür. Zahlreiche gute Restaurants fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut.

As pessoas que trabalham no local são atenciosas, mas as acomodações são péssimas. O Quarto é muito apertado e o banheiro fica dentro de um armário ao lado da cama. O teto esta com marcas de mofo

L’hôtel est bien propre et les prestations sont bonnes (petit déjeuner changement des draps et serviettes tous les jours ) néanmoins il y a un gros problème de nuisance sonore
Il n’y a pas de double vitrage et c’est comme s’il n’y avait pas de fenetre. Ni de porte car elle est très vétuste.
Les voisins du dessus sont extrême bruyants et il y avait des travaux dans l’immeuble

Die Unterkunft hat sehr viel Charme. Sie liegt absolut genial und man kommt überall zu Fuß hin. Ich war alleine unterwegs und die Gegend kam mir sicher vor. Das Zimmer war klein und zum Hof hin. Die Dusche hatte am ersten Tag kein warmes Wasser aber schon am nächsten Tag war das Problem behoben. Der Kontakt zu dem Problem war irritierend unfreundlich, da ansonsten der Empfang und das Personal sehr freundlich war.

Decepción.

Estuve dos días por recomendación y fue una decepcion pues el edificio está en obras, polvo y escombros hasta llegar al tercer piso pero lo peor es que al ir a descansar después de comer a la habitación los obreros estaban trabajando con el taladro al lado de nuestra habitación con lo cual el descanso era imposible. La decoración muy bonita, y muy céntrico, pero están mal insonorizadas las habitaciones, se oye cualquier ruido, puertas y ventanas no llegan a cerrarse bieny entra la luz. Tienen un detalle de poner en la cocina bollería, fruta, cafés para desayunar.

The single room was small, but clean and comfortable. At morning a lovely breafast is for self service

Günstig aber nicht schön

Nachdem ich sehr nett empfanfen wurde kam ich auf mein Zimmer . 10qm mit modrigem Geruch und nasser Bettwäsche. Diese wurde nach Reklamation getauscht. Der Nassbereich ist mit Holzwänden in das Zimmer eingebaut, dieses Holz scheint alle Gerüche zu speichern. Das Zimmer roch nach Schimmel und Fäkalien. Das Bett war okay aber nicht komfortabel. Das Personal war freundlich. Es ist eine Art Gästehaus und wie eine grosse WG. Die gemeinsame Küche und das Frühstück waren gut, evenso die Lage.

O quarto em que ficamos deixou um pouco a desejar, porém vimos que tem outros quartos melhores.
O fato de não ter um elevador é chato.
